Review 1：Bathroom had bugs in it. Railing on balcony very unstable. Aircon wouldn't go up or down, stuck on 25°C. Limited carparking available.

Review 6：The location and the lady at the front desk were perfect. Pool and games and little pub out front were perfect. Everything being close was great. Having a balcony was a nice change. If you're up high then the veiws alright too.

Review 7：The built in side boards and carpet were very very run down...iron burn marks, large chips off sideboard...etc although I could see it was clean it made the experience feel a bit scummy.

Review 11：Bathroom was very badly ventilated, extra bed they brought up for $32 a night was TERRIBLE. Sometimes unfriendly staff and had to pay extra to use the safe in the room. Washing powder dispensers broken on both floors and one load cost $6.

Review 12：Room was nice, beds comfortable (for the most part), had our glasses and towels replaced most days. Plenty of hot water, awesome neighbours and view. Noise insulation was sufficient enough to sleep at night.

Also had money taken out of my account by hotel which I wasn't told about until I rang the hotel a few days after my stay. Hotel was generally dirty with an egg smashed against a wall near the lift, left there for a few days.

Review 28：Old decrepit ugly horrible are words that come to mind. Beds extremely uncomfortable. You had to sign for towel for the pool and it was still just an old horrid bath towel. Park was impossible to find. Basics like soap was not even supplied. Staff were not even polite and didn't listen to us at all they just stood there not even smiling just being shut off and in my opinion quite rude. The floor that my son and his wife stayed on had a group of young underage people staying in it (hotel knew they were minors) when my son and wife called the front because said young people were being very loud and drunk and running around and screaming in the halls from 9pm till 2am the front desk did nothing! Will NEVER be back, most horrible place I have stayed and I am amazed they even got a review this positive. You would think them charging the same price as the classy hotels you would get the same high quality of service, they need to adjust their pricing to a fair price for service they provide, I think paying the guests is a much more fair price, only way I would ever tolerate them again, and even then I'm not sure. COULDN'T LEAVE FAST ENOUGH!

Review 37：What not to like? For a A$99 you'll fine a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the surfers paradise Blvd, and the ocean. Moreover you're in the middle of everything. The Bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. There is a pool, and a open-air bar in the hotel.

Review 39：Best location, Not flash but great party atmosphere. My stay was a muchneeded stress relief getaway. I arrived flat and tense and left with asmile. Everyone was there to have a good time. People talk to you in thelift in the halls. If you dont like young drunk people its not for youbut I had lots of laughs, loved it.

Review 45：There is a difference between affordable value for money accommodation and Cheap budget accommodation. Every expense and cost has been spared in this hotel, right from the lack of cleaning to the 1920's decor ( and condition ).

Review 46：Absolutely nothing to like , no correction actually loved the chewing gum stuck on the window, The cheap alarm / clock radio preset to go off at 2 am was an added bonus as this simply distracted from the drunken thugs causing havoc in the hotel.

Review 47：The first night was horrible, stayed there for 12 days, lost out on first night accommodation, no sleep and had to wait until the next afternoon when everyone checked out so we could get moved. Unfortunately due to this I will consider else where next time for our long stays.

Review 54：Hotel location is very good as you're allowed to Surfers Paradise in 10 mins by walk and 5 mins to shopping center. The front desk stuff is helpful and provide all items we need. When you're in the balcony, you can see the beach and sea directly.

Review 64：The place was very dated & dirty. My room looked ok when first walking in, but the tiles on the floor were sticky, and there was long hair all over it. When I had a shower, I discovered that there was mould everywhere, & the bathroom was horrible. I turned on the air con, cause it was a bit cold, and if I was still there, it still would not be warm. The price I paid for what I saw on the net, does not meet. I didn't know it was also a backpackers place, & if I knew, I would have booked elsewhere. I was very disappointed, and the noise was terrible. The trams, traffic, & night life noise, along with the backpackers, very loud.

Review 65：The hotel had many facilities that would be of benefit to anyone, and the location to the beach was great. The staff were very good & helpful.

Review 66：This is a dirty little dung hole that looks nothing like the pictures. It stank. There was so much stuck to the couch, and bed linen, we weren't keen to mix with everyone else's organic residues. The first thing we did was book elsewhere, turned around and ran away as fast as we could. We blew our money, but at what price your own health? For the love of all things decent, find an extra 30 bucks and stay somewhere else.

Review 72：The bathroom was cold it stopped us from showering aswell as their being no screen on the shower and the whole floor wouldve got drenched from the shower. The balcony felt unsafe as there was broken concrete on it and the railing was coming off the wall. The glass doors were dirty. When I put the key in the door to unlock our room it snapped off in the door lock.

Review 74：the fixtures were well worn with cracked basin in the bathroom and cigarette burns on the surface counter. The shower came from the 1980s by time machine. The tv didn't work and, yes, i've used the exact model before. Typically for Australia, the quality was half what you'd find in Europe and the cost was twice as high.

Review 97：We had bugs in our room. They sprayed when we were still in there and were only to move if we continued to see more. The spray did not work other than filling the room full of chemicals. Since bugs were still found throughout the room they agreed to move us to a different room, at midnight. Staff was not friendly or helpful. I'm not sure what the position of their manager Ricki is because when confronted about the issue she said there was nothing she could do for us. Very disappointed. We stay in hostels for our entire trip aside from this hotel we decided to "treat" ourselves to and the hostels were all cleaner than this hotel. Would not recommend it to anyone.

Review 98：The website explained that parking was included yet when we got to the hotel, the car park was over crowded & no spots available. I wasnt happy with the customer service as i requested special conditions upon arrival which wasnt met. When I called down to reception from the room phone, I was on hold for 10 minutes with no answer. I hung up & called from my mobile & got an answer straight away. The bathroom was dirty & scratched up & had a towel missing

Review 101：the place was undergoind a rebranding so it had a bit of an unfonished feel. no safe boxes in the rooms. the 5min walk up from 2nd Street reeks a bit, but there's a 7-11 on it so i guess that's good

Review 102：lovely place, functional. TV with 70 channels and aircon that can be set to 16°C the whole time, are good enough for me. breakfast yummy combo of thai and western. the pool is outstanding for a hotel this size/price.

(easy access car-park lift to room) Spotless room with nice hot shower, great beds and good air-conditioning. Beautiful views of the canal and hinterland and great breezes on the 10th floor. Nice to visit a little part of Gold Coast history. Great in-house entertainment facilities and also close to everything. Lots of happy and friendly visitors made us feel very welcome.

Review 106：The hall way to our room stunk. When the lift opened it was awful. The room is very old and not maintained. The chip bark furniture was breaking apart. No wall on the balcony to separate you from next door. Trying to find car park.....not good.

The hostel works both as a hostel and a hotel, staff on the front desk are the nicest people, and the bar staff in the bar are so friendly and helpful. A few people will complain and give negative comments about the lack of air conditioning in the dorms or the place is a bit dated, but it really is value for money. Free use of the swimming pool, hot tub, sauna all included, with the main area of Surfers Paradise literally 2 minutes walk away. I can not fault this hostel. Great Stay.

Review 127：Didnt like the fact that walking from the carpark to the lifts smelt so so so so so so so so disgusting with the rubbish dump being that close to lift area. Not enough Car parking spots. Beds are real "Springy". Hallway and lifts smelt like wee and drainage kinda smell. The only thing that looked "decent" in the whole hotel was the Check in area/Reception area.

Review 131：The shower head was way too low. Kept hitting my head on it and had to squat down to was shampoo conditioner out of my long hair! Very annoying. My partner hit his head on the light cover over the bed nearly every time he got his phone off the side table. The hotel needs updating to be safe. Regardless of how cheap, I'm not going back.

Review 133：We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and there was only an air conditioner in one room, leaving the people in the other room to swelter in mid 30 degree days and very warm nights too. It is important to note that there is a backpackers hostel next to it who also use the pool. Backpackers are notoriously loud and roudy, so if you are looking for quiet, relaxing days by the pool you should probably look elswehere

Review 135：Rooms nothing like the photos, advertised as self contain not even a kettle. Was charged more then what was booked for apparently NYE wasn't advertised, staff rude and unhelpful. Used condom left in room don't think that's very clean.
