Review 1：A city tax that came to us very unexpected. Would've liked to know before hand. I also was displeased with a staff member who disregarded the do not disturb sign on our door.

Review 5：Far from historical city center. You need about 40min walk and the area around the hotel is not pedestrian friendly... Taxi costs btw 15€ and 20€ (depending on the mood of the driver) to go to theatro Maximo. Bus service is unreliable. We used the card "do not disturb" but the room service knocked once per hour (and woke us up) to clean the room.

Review 28：Not the very big fan of the location. It was not that easy to get to the centre as city bus does not drive that often from the nearby bus stop. We did not liked that the WiFi was available only near the reception desk.

Review 30：It's probably the oldest and most shabby hotel I've ever stayed at... HOWEVER, it was very cheap and perfect for one night in Palermo to go to the Palermo FC game at Stadio Renzo Barbera.

Review 31：The room was badly worn, not maintained and certainly not as the photographs shown. Our room was old fashioned, small with a very outdated bathroom, completely not as shown on booking.com. I understand this was not a high priced hotel, but it is rated as four star (plastic bathroom and mini bar glasses) and surely we can expect it to look modern as the photos show?

Review 32：The photos on Booking are absolute fake! The whole hotel facilities wereprobably ok in 1970s. The hotel is situated next to busy depot and thewhole area is flooded with litter. City center is 30 minutes by walking.Wifi only in lobby

Review 33：Poor check in experience with front desk - unfriendly person. Also, I picked a nonsmoking room but it the smell of the hallway was horrible. Stinking of smoke and the fragrance they tried to use to cover it up. Carpet was old and dirty. Not a new or modern hotel. There is no wifi in the rooms, only cable connection. Very inconvenient.

Review 39：Room does not correspond with the one presented in the Booking Reserve. Very old ang ugly. The toilet was clogged and the shower was broken. The air conditioning is noisy - 45db - impossible to sleep. After off the room was too hot. At 5am too much noisy in the market nearby. Breakfast very poor. Terrible experience, not recommend.

Review 41：Rather not a 4 star hotel - its seems like it's best times were probably 15 years ago, everything looks old. The pictures provided are not what we actually saw. No wifi in the rooms, very poor wifi available only at the lobby. Breakfast was not bad (even though exactly the same each day), but because of large numer of guests the staff was not able to keep up with cleaning and refills. The city of Palermo is dirty, but the hotel's surrounding was even worse - rubbish and stink from the food market nearby.

So, the smell from this market is horrible and the garbage lying around on the street. The staff wasn't helpful and pleasant at all exepting one lady. The breakfast was very poor and not tasty. Even in 3-star hotel I usually find better choice. Bathroom equipment is very old and somewhere even rusty. The towels wasn't very clean and there were some spots.

Review 59：I originally booked for a room with twin beds. But when we checked in, we got a room with 1 queen-size bed. I complained about it at the front desk, and my friend and I were immediately given a room per my original request. Free wifi was available only in the lobby area and not in the guest room. The location of the hotel was a bit far from the city center and major attractions. Just a few meters away from the hotel was a fruit and vegetable market and a number of trash bins lined up the side walk adjacent to the market. If you need to catch a bus to get to the city center, you would have to pass by the smelly street where the trash bins were standing. It was a daily ordeal that we had to bear. In addition, we arrived in Palermo in July, one of the peak months of summer and when a reliable and hardworking A/C system is a must. However, the aircon in our room as well as in the hotel lobby and corridors did not provide enough cool ventilation. I even saw a front desk staff fanning herself because of the uncomfortable temperature in the lobby area.

Review 60：The room was clean and tastefully designed. Bed and bathroom linens were always fresh. Breakfast buffet was generally okay but pretty much the same thing everyday which could be boring.

Review 61：- Me and my friend couldn't get the free WiFi working, which btw. Is available only in lobby, pretty bad for four stars- the building is old and some of the parts need renewal ASAP, for example the communism ceilings, many doors etc. - kind of a strange feelings - the biggest fail of this hotel was the breakfast, so little space to accommodate so many people and the food we wanted was always missing on the plates. When it was refilled it was instantly gone - and we had to wait again, we felt like beggars and I would say other 100 guests did too - I guess this is not the fault of the hotel, but the location isn't that good you have to walk through the city's dirt on the main street for a while to get to some decent streets

Review 63：Chronological: I specifically requested for single King bed. They gave me a room with 2 beds in it. We stayed for 7 nights, and from day 4 the cleaning ladies were more and more forgetful. Forexample last night we don't even get toilet paper in our room while there were any in the bathroom left. So I have to go down and ask. Wifi in reception only. In 2015 it should be basic - try to invest. Who need stabe internet for work will pay for the cable in the room anyway... On the wall we found the last decade splashed mosquito collection from previous guests. Ok painting is expensive but once in while you should do that... Location (not the hotel fault) is really bad. Near a fruit market, so the street full of trash (rest of Palermo too :( )... But apart from these it's not expensive, great room, clean, great breakfast.

Review 67：No Wifi in rooms. Location was far from center and far from bus stops needed to get to places. Next to a market with lots of rubbish. The walk of 400m's to the hotel was full of rubbish and the smell was awful. Breakfast was poor, cold and didn't refill while there. Roof terrace was poor, no hot tub as mentioned. Rooms look nothing like those in pictures. Very 80s looking. Would not book again.

Review 91：The city centre is too far off to walk to. We had a car, which was perfect with the availability of free parking. I’m not sure how efficient the public transport system works but most probably, I would have opted to take a taxi from the taxi stand outside the hotel as although it’s no fault of the hotel, I wouldn’t like to go anywhere near the overflowing garbage bins just 100 meters down the street.

Review 94：We loved the spacious and comfortable rooms, but the best for me was a kettle in the room. After 2 weeks travel through France and Italy, it was the only hotel that supplied one. What a joy. Parking on site is always a bonus. The restaurant food, both for dinner and breakfast was varied and delicious.

Review 104：A worker was very rude when we went out with our dog because he thought that the dog would poo close to the entrance. A better approach from the staff would be nice. Just ask what is going on before getting angry with the guests. We were just on our way to the car and had poo bags with us, which he saw.

No informations about the hothel, no phonebook for the hothel, the phones did not work and no internet connection. The computer could only be connected if going downstair in the lobby and reception was poor. No room for parking: one evening I had to park the car outside the hothel property! The location is unsafe with piles of garbage just outside the Hothel gate.

Review 112：Staff was not particularly nice. We booked a double bed bedroom and we got two separate single beds. The Wi-Fi in only available in the hall area. For being a big hotel, breakfast was a bit basic. They didn't give much explanations about city-tax when we were requested to pay it, especially it isn't sound very clear when one comes from a place where this kind of tax doesn't exist.
