Review 1：Located in the city where vehicle are not allowed to enter. No convenient for driving. $15 parking permit. very old hotel, I feel the furniture in the room are self made and everything is coming off. Sheet are not clean since the old room give the impression. Shower need a long time adjust before it can make the temp you want. Don't like Pisa at all.

Review 3：The hotel captures the Renaissance style, and one can feel that it had its glory days, however we immediately felt it is an old hotel that needs renovation and refurbishing while staying loyal to the style. We were upgraded to the Royal Suite, which was below our expectations due to the outdated interior.The service is ok, we spent only one night so cannot really tell.

Review 16：The main restaurant is a little disappointing located in the atrium area, double as a bar etc. Don't quite understand why they don't use the wonderful breakfast room for dinner also. TIP: Our room on the top floor had no aircon. Even in March is was very warm, I would think impossible after May. Check before booking if room has aircon.

The pay tv didn't work, we asked to have it looked at and it wasn't fixed for us. Overall too expensive for what you get!

Review 51：In my opinion the hotel is very tired and musty and in need of a redesign, I struggle to see how it has 5*s as it has no facilities that you would normally associate with a 5*. Carpets, furniture, bathrooms and decoration all need a refresh. The restaurant has a reputation of serving good food, but the restaurant itself does not look inviting at all and in terms of design is rather a muddle. It is worth noting that there is no outside space to have a drink or sit in the sun (although admittedly it is hard to find such places in Siena).

Review 56：The location of the hotel is excellent: few minutes of walk from Piazza Del Campo; in the middle of the city commercial area. Comfortable rooms with high ceiling. Strangely, the pictures on websites don't reflect the luxury of the rooms. Most importantly, the service. During our stay, the concierge gave us suggestions of great restaurants. They could always get us a table, even if last minute on a busy night. Then after our visit... We went to a nearby Post Office to send a parcel back home. For some reasons, the box never arrived at the destination and was sent back to Siena Post office. We informed the hotel of the situation and they have been assisting us to retrieve the box and send it back to us. It required several meetings with the post office people. That's what I call great after sale service!

I spent more time photographing our room, our bathroom, and the amazing views from our terrace than I did Siena itself. The 5-star designation isn't for everyone - it's funky and fabulous, gorgeous yet darling, intimate yet with perfect kid-glove Ritz-level staff. But if you need the rubber-stamp 5-star "sweeping lobby/unctuous service" thing, you won't find it here. Big Italian 5-smooch thumbs-up.

Review 65：Now that I compare the photos on your site and with what I saw I thinkwe stayed in completely different hotel.. The large room with frescoesshown in your gallery is not accessible to guests.. It is reserved forspecial events..We were given the attic room (433) on third floor which was not up to our expectations..the room was smaller (up to 24sq.m) than described on your site (35sq.m) and had slanted roof which made it even smaller.. in addition we requested one large bed but were given two single beds put together.. all and all it is not good value for money...

We had some issues with a rental car and they bent over backwards to help us take care of the situation, and were the go betweens with the language barrier, for us. They recommended excellent resturants and where to go and what to see. The hotel is right in the middle of the main location, so walking was convient and easy, the room was very nice.

Review 83：We were driving to Siena and finding the hotel was hard work as it is in the old city, most roads have limited use - rather frustrating. The €45 a night parking fee, was a bit exorbitant. Inicially we were directed to a room on the 3rd floor, which was so out dated and drab it could well have been mistaken for a two star... Returning to reception and noting my unhappiness, we were redirected to a room on the first floor which was more like the five star room we had been expecting.. The third level seems like a new add on... at no expensive to hotel, very poorly put together and the lounge next to the breakfast nook could do with a re-vamp too. Make sure you are assigned a room on the 1st or 2nd level.
