Reviews for Trulli Gallo Rosso

Review 1:There is a bit of traffic noise if you have one of the rooms nearest to the road.

Review 2:We particularly liked our host Hugo who was lovely and - fortunately! - spoke good English. Nothing was too much trouble; he plied us with local information and on our last day, personally booked us on a local mushroom tour. His mum's cakes at breakfast were a treat and our room was spacious and comfortable.

Review 3:The only thing, and not a deal breaker, was that there was a small window that had been blown open, or cracked open near the bathroom of our room which allowed many flies into the room. However, it is in a farm setting, so it is to be expected. We had a lovely stay. Also, about 10-15 minutes outside of town. But we did not mind the drive at all because of the peace and quite of the countryside.

Review 4:We loved Hugo. He was so accommodating and kind. It was a very nice personal experience. We had a great time. The precious garden with a swing was lovely for our 2 year old daughter. Breakfast was wonderful and had many seasonal offerings. We arrived on a cold October evening, and the fire was already going inside of our rooms when we arrived. We will definitely return.

Review 5:Gallo Rosso was a beautiful spot and our host Hugo was very gracious and made sure we were very comfortable. He was very helpful in providing information on areas we could visit and places that were really worth seeing. I would recommend a stay at Hugo's wonderful B&B to anyone wanting a clean, peaceful and comfortable location in a gorgeous setting. It was the best!

Review 6:Very rural - quite a long drive on narrow roads from most towns around. No air conditioning.

Review 7:Friendly host helped us when we got an (unfair!) parking ticket. Pleasant terrace.

Review 8:A little hard to find even with GPS

Review 9:The place is amazing, the setting, accomodation, every little detail in our suite was chosen and placed with care and love. We will be going back there very very soon

Review 10:Too far away from anywhere, wifi poor, needs aircon,

Review 11:Boutique, being in a Trulli, the owner very committed to his guests and clearly developing the property

Review 12:We had a pleasant stay, place was very beautiful in a quiet position, short distance to Alberobello. Breakfast were very good, you must try the homemade jam and cake once you there . X

Review 13:Only one small thing - the bed was a little too hard for us.

Review 14:Amazing location, Trulli accomodation was wonderful as was the relaxing garden full of butterflies on the lavander. This was an idyllic place to stay and I would go back in a heartbeat.

Review 15:Wifi is a little spotty.

Review 16:Hotel is in a beautiful idyllic location. There is a garden that is very relaxing to sit in with a glass of wine or book. The owner/manager Hugo gives great recommendations and makes you feel at home. Be aware that this is a very rural location- very relaxing in a secluded way. No tv in rooms, limited wi fi, and you will likely need a car as limited dining options within walking distance. That said we had a lovely stay, took advantage of the apertif on offer (which was enough for dinner for us), and generally got away from it all!

Review 17:Hugo is going to update the internet inside the rooms. Currently, the internet functions only on the veranda. TV would be nice if it had good reception and international (English, et al) channels. No air conditioning--even in mid October it was pretty warm--for a non-Italian.

Review 18:I loved the trullo... quaint, chic, old yet modern at the same time. Great restoration. Bathrooms are great. The grounds are eclectic with wine elements... wine press, path of wine press filters, etc. Hugo gives a great spread for breakfast... goes the extra mile for you. It was like visiting family,. Thanks for all, Hugo!

Review 19:Nothing, except that it can be hard to find - don't try to be clever, just stick to the main roads.

Review 20:The rooms (and everyone had more than one, so really each 'room' was a suite) were clean, fresh and enchanting, formed from the trulli. The grounds were good, too, and will be perfect once Hugo builds his swimming pool.

Review 21:Without a car it would be difficult to go out.

Review 22:It is a nice place to stay, if you have a car. The owner, Hugo, is very kind and helpful. He provided us with a huge amount of useful information, maps and advises. The Trullo was amazing, with several smaller compartments, chimney and a comfortable bed.

Review 23:Wifi is sometimes a bit slow

Review 24:Friendly and extremely helpful host, excellent breakfast, quiet location (but Alberobello, Cisternino, Martina Franca and Locoratondo are easy to reach), old stone buildings (Trulli) are well adapted to modern needs (excellent bathroom and shower) without loosing their original charm

Review 25:The beds could be better. ;-)

Review 26:We spent a week in Trulli Gallo Rosso. We felt we were in paradise. The grounds are beautiful. Hugo fulfills all desires and gives tips for trips. Our Trullo was very clean and had modern equipment. At night it is very quiet, in the trulli is cool. You can sleep soundly. On site you can always find a place in the shade to chill. You need definitely a car to get to the towns and beaches. And they are very very beautiful. We'll definitely come back !!!!!

Review 27:Hugo was fantastic as was our suite of rooms. Cool in the heat and very comfortable. Good breakfast and beautiful buildings and patio. Need a car to experience this as 20mins from nearest town...so peaceful.

Review 28:Hugo, the owner/operator, was great. The Trulli rooms were beautifully done. Good breakfast, very nice and quiet. lovely outdoor areas, beautiful view of the countryside.

Review 29:Nothing
