Review 1：Noisy hotel, rooms facing via Roma are very noisy, could not open the window. In addition, the walls are very thin, so you can hear everything in neighbouring rooms. No mosquito protection nets on the windows, so the room is full of midges. Free toiletries are of low quality. Restaurant (breakfast) is too crowded. No fresh juices, bad free coffee (but you can purchase separately a cup of good coffee). Guests (or staff) smoke in some rooms, my first room was with the ash tray, but I ask to be moved elsewhere. Although the whole hotel is officially no smoking. Staff hardly speak English. Upon checkout I was requested to pay somebody else's bill for beer\wine I did not drink. After explaining several times that I did not take these beverages, the receptionist still insisted on paying calling to his superior for consultations. Finally the receptionist understood that he simply missed my room number. However, he did apologise afterwards.
Review 2：Location is very good, close to city centre. Room was clean. Breakfast was generally good, fresh fruit, but no eggs (on request only). Staff is generally helpful. Not expencive in general.

Review 6：Cristal Palace Hotel is easy to find after arrival in Palermo. The airport bus stops around the corner and the central station is within walking distance. Fast check-in. Staff is very friendly and helpfull and master English very well. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was ok and had nice opening hours. Very strong coffee (but hey, you're in Sicily) and a rich variety of sweet breakfast items. Clean room. Good and cheap restaurants in the vicinity of the hotel.

No attempt to provide atmosphere in hotel lounge/bar - so unwelcoming. The worst breakfast I have been offered by a so-called 4* hotel - Poor quality of fruit juice, coffee, pastries was inexcusable. B&B in Agrigento by comparison was superb so there is no excuse - shows the hotel management just dont care. Someone needs to raise their standards otherwise they wont survive and Booking.com ought to check them out.
