Reviews for Het Wapen van Enkhuizen

Review 1:Furniture rather dated and ensuite a little tired need a refurb. (was very clean)

Review 2:Central to where I had business meetings and parking and excellent staff who provided excellent customer service. Room compact but adequate.

Review 3:Is a little bit run down but is very clean.

Review 4:Is very well located near the centre of town and near the main children attractions the Zuiderzee museum and Sprokjesland. Loved the fact that it was attended by its owners and has some toys for chidren etc. Is a tiny expensive for being a hotel that is almost a bed and breakfast. Breakfast was nice.

Review 5:Although well set up the room was very small - there was hardly room for our cases or to move around.

Review 6:Friendly, clean and a nice breakfast. The hotel is not right in town but the area is so small that it is only a 2 minute walk to anywhere. It is in a quiet location and we would recommend staying overnight if you are going to visit the open air museum (which is wonderful!!!).

Review 7:Unpractical fixed shower, (no hand shower). The room was a little dark. The awnings take some light away and there is insufficient artificial light. This is a matter of personal preferences, but I found the bed a little hard, and the pillow a bit thick. I chose to ignore this, but, when using Enkhuizen as a base, it is possible to find a hotel closer to the train station.

Review 8:Friendly although reserved staff. Good breakfast buffet. Cozy, and well appointed little single room, with unique decor, daring to be a little different. The room makes good use of the small size. Nice location in the historical center of Enkhuizen. Two sets of carillon bells in the immediate neighbourhood playing tunes every quarter. Nice historical seaside town, nice for evening strolls.

Review 9:It' could do with a little modernisation. No AC in the room which was hard going during the heatwave while we stayed but they were very helpful and bought us a fan and lots of cold bottles of water.

Review 10:Great little family run hotel, the staff are super friendly and will go out of their way to help you out. Breakfast is a simple "continental" style but there is plenty of it and it's fresh and filling. We ate at their restaurant and had a hearty Dutch meal of slow cooked steak (called Stove Steak on the menu) which I can highly recommend (they were also very accommodating to my fussy son's tastes). Location is great, right next to the main museum and a short walk to Sprookjes Wonderland.

Review 11:Hard pillows :-(

Review 12:Free wi-fi, big rooms, breakfast included and with a good selection of food items, central location -right next to Zuiderzee Museum, parking right outside, polite and accommodating staff.

Review 13:The only thing I can say is that the church clock woke me every now and then.

Review 14:Nothing was too much for the staff who made sure we had all that we needed. The breakfast included was exceptional very varied. The harbour and city centre was only a short 5 min walk.

Review 15:Room is very small.

Review 16:Clean and well placed to the waterfront. Good value in Enkhuizen. Especially good location for the Zuider Zee Museum.

Review 33:The location was very close the town centre. Good food.

Review 34:I wouldn't recommend dinner at the restaurant unless you don't mind it not being prepared with fresh ingredients.

Review 35:The location is absolutely perfect. It's just a short walk from the Zuiderzee Museum and town centre. The room was upgraded, neat and comfortable. WiFi was strong and always available.

Review 36:The rooms are not soundproof and it would be good to do some renovation.
