Reviews for Hotel Zanella

Review 1:It is a good 30 minute walk from Torbole, but the bus stop is not far from the hotel. The bell tower close by chimes madly in the mornings.

Review 2:The staff were very helpfull. Especially with the bus timetables. Free bus pass was very much appreciated.

Review 3:During the hottest summer in history, lacking aircondition was a challenge.

Review 4:Very friendly staff. Local produced alternatives in restaurant. Centrally located in Village. Free bus pass to town with private beach.

Review 5:Nothing really, breakfast could be more diverse throughout the week (it is the same every day), but you can't argue too much for the price paid.

Review 6:Loved the location - sitting at the foot of a mountain which was surrounded by vineyards and nestled at the end of cobbled streets lined by brightly painted houses, this hotel was straight from a Cornetto advert! There is a little monastery perched on a hill just to the back of the hotel where a beautiful bell tower adds to the charm. In the street outside there id a fabulous little bakery and ice parlor around the corner. There is a shuttle bus to and from Torbole which is only 5 mins from Nago (don't walk!) and cost 1 Euro per adult passenger each way otherwise the hotel can arrange for a free pass although you need to give them notice the day before. I must recommend the La Villa Restaurant just 2-3 mins walk from the hotel which provided perhaps the best Pizza selection you will find at an outstanding price (6-8 Euros per large Pizza and around 5-6 Euro for a Litre of local wine!). Although the swimming pool was a little small and too sheltered from the sun to properly enjoy it, that said, you're in Lake Garda and if you are planning to stay by the pool you are wasting your time - you can swim in Lake Garda! Little Gem - Drive 30 Mins up the Mountain to the North-West to Lago di Tenno, the clearest fresh water lake in Italy, it's a beautiful mountain drive and the lake is simply stunning! You can hire a peddle-boat for 15 Euro for 30min and kayak for about 10 Euro. There is a little café - but be aware the path around the lake (and the steps down to it) aren't exactly buggy-friendly.

Review 7:Very nice hotel!

Review 8:Swimming pool too small for real swimming and no place to lay down

Review 9:Friendly staff

Review 10:Fixtures and fittings dated, minor repairs required (but this is reflected in the price). the nearby church bells take a couple of mornings to get used to.

Review 11:The quiet location, helpfulness of the staff, the swimming pool, price, facilities.

Review 12:Without a car, it's quite difficult to access Torbole on the lake only one kilometre away.

Review 13:The staff were all friendly and helpful. My room was clean and good value. The hotel is a short walk from spectacular vies of Lake Garda.

Review 14:The environment and surroundings in a quiet hotel setting. The staff is very friendly and service. I will certainly visit the hotel again
