Review 1：Some of the room maintenance was poor. The timber floors in the shower were all rotten and broken. After we made a report, one panel was replaced with a temporary chipboard base. We were promised it would be fixed the next day, but no further repairs were done during the entire week. Every restaurant in the site was fully booked every day. We only got a table for dinner once, so we had to find alternative eating places outside the hotel. No view of the beach from our room. It was a ten minute walk to the water. The resort was crowded with large group bookings.

Review 2：The beach was stunning. Close to town. Easy walk to outside restaurants... which was necessary as all hotel restaurants were fully booked every day.

Review 3：Too expensive for the service given, which sometimes is poor for a 5 star hotel. Staff could be nicer and sometimes it seems they do not know what to do or they do not want to help. Some of the restaurants have a really bad service, and food is not great for the price (quite high) you pay. Information about the packages is confusing, be careful what you pay and what you have to pay (b&b, half board, honeymoon, etc....too many different options that they even do not know well). Prices are sometimes not reasonable at all (i.e. the same bottle of water out of the hotel cost 5-6 times less).

Review 5：Service- had a water leak, waited since morning till evening to get it repaired. The same for luggage carriage at check out-even though we called the reception well in advance, nobody came to pick up our luggage, so we carried it ourselves. Too big hotel, the quality of the service got diluted

Review 15：The non delivery of an important message I sent to my wife who had arrived before me at the hotel. This was given by my agent by phone to the hotel reception. The matress was not firm and we both experienced back pains. The pillows were too soft and we had neck pains for some time after waking up.

Review 21：The staff was very friendly and they made sure we were always looked after and that we had an amazing honeymoon. The location of the hotel was ideal and the sandy beach in front of the hotel was very nice for swimming and water sports. We truly enjoyed the food at all of the hotel's restaurants, especially the buffet at the L'Oasis restaurant, which had a huge variety to choose from and the quality was perfect. We also liked the hotel's huge central swimming pool and the other seven all around the resort. We also enjoyed the very well-equipped fitness centre, including the tennis courts. We also got upgraded to half-board for free and this was another plus. We will definitely go back, as we really enjoyed our stay!

Review 24：The bedrooms are totally void of any decorating skills. They are just big rooms without any character or charm. The breakfasts and lunches are mediocre at best. They also lack variety. What you see is what you get ... every day.

Review 25：The location is good, being on the North West side of the island. There are quite a few restaurants OUTSIDE the resort (within about a 10 minute drive) which offer very good meals at about a quarter of the price of the outrageously priced dinners in the hotel.

Review 28：We booked the room with shower outdoor. Some people said Don't even need cause normally they up grand your room. They didn't do for us so we stayed as we booked. Problem of that room with outdoor shower, people who staying upstairs can see you though the window!!! No privacy!!! I was Very disappointed with that. And diners in International or Italian restaurant are very expensive! If you didn't go there with half or full board, Don't go there. Our bill was more than 300 US dollars. The food was ok but not that worthy.

Review 29：We arrived check-in time because we wanted to stay FULLY. They received me very nicely with welcoming fruits and drinks. Drop nicely to our room by club car. Room was nicely clean, bed was so good. Most of facilities we didn't even try to use but look nice.

Review 35：Some residents still putting beach towels on sunbeds to hold them all day. Very annoying and should be stopped by the hotel management. Not being asked if we want to have floatation jackets when snorkling- would have made the experience so much better and safer. Having the bathroom and dressing area/wardrobe area combined in the junior suite. No complementary bottles of water except on day 1 - this is usual for 5 star hotels. In the room only powdered nescafe for coffee and dried milk sachets - no good for tea. Could have a small filter coffee machine with pods and milk in the fridge - again, usual for 5 star hotels. If on half board be aware of restricted choice on the menu without a hefty surcharge for some dishes. No small general shop/grocer on site for incidentals.

Review 45：I did not like the manager attitude during the check out time, he was not friendly and did not allow me to extend in the same villa nor he allowed me extra time to pack (half an hour) was not accepted by him. The whole stall were excellent except this "rude" person.

The general procedure of dining reservationat Trou aux Biches is absolutely not customer oriented. If you want tomake a reservation for, for instance, the Thai restaurant, you have todo this days ahead. So, many times you are too late with making areservation (especially when you only spend a few days at the resort).Then, you're more or less forced to go to the buffet restaurant andthis is where the money machine of Trou aux Biches resort is. Thisbuffet is around 50 euros a person, without beverage, which is veryexpensive, especially for what you get. Poor value for money thus.
