Review 2:We love this historic house with yes of course the steep stairway (like all old Dutch houses have), rooms are lovely and the personal touch with a yummy breakfast! Definite a place to return too!

Review 3:The owners went out of their way to move us when it the stairs proved too challenging for my elderly mother. Luxurious touched everywhere. Super decor. Breakfast healthy and delicious.

Review 4:Just what we were looking for! It was about 15 min walk from the bus staton through a charming neighborhood - totally worth it to be away from busy city streets and noise. Yet easy walking to several great restaurants. The steep winding stairs were part of the charm and we loved our 3rd story view of a canal and pretty trees. Very clean and bathroom has heated floors. Excellent breakfast with wide choice of options including omelette cooked to order. Johan was an excellent host. Thank you for helping us with understanding the Ansterdam public transportation!

Review 5:Nothing

Review 6:Incredibly helpful staff - really went out of their way. Very comfortable room with good value minibar! Excellent breakfast Easy to get from airport / to from central Amsterdam. We booked this location because we needed to be in Amstelveen for an event, but if we returned to Amsterdam we would definitely consider staying here despite being a little further out

Review 7:This is not a criticism!! but the staircase is very steep with short curving steps. This adds to the authenticity of the building as it is the original one, but it may be a bit of a challenge if you are not that fit or mobile. So not a criticism, just something to be aware of. The owners can not really change this.

Review 8:Station Amstelveen has everything and more you can wish of a B&B. A nice authentic building with history, great location close to Amsterdam, old centre of Amstelveen or the newer part of Amstelveen, whatever you like. Very comfortable and tastefully decorated rooms with antiques and beautiful bathroom. Great hostess who also prepares a top of the range breakfast.

Review 9:Added bonus..... why not borrow a couple of the free available bikes and cycle into the centre of Amsterdam. We did and its a great way to enjoy the city.

Review 10:Extremely friendly hosts; wonderful, personalised breakfasts; free bikes; quiet location near woods and canals but also only ten minutes' walk from town and airport bus; super comfortable beds in relaxing rooms.

Review 11:Nice and extremely friendly owners aka staff. Perfect cleaness in the room and hotel itself. Really cauzy and comfortable room. All that made me to feel myself home and I wish to come back again.

Review 12:Slightly hotter tap water would be nice. Steep staircase (not a problem - unless you have heavy bags).

Review 13:Friendly staff (owners) readily available for any request. Spacious bathroom with good lighting. Parking options. Lovely neighbourhood with many great food options literally around the corner. Quiet location - yet not far from highway. Very nice breakfast!

Review 14:Nothing.

Review 15:We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Everything was perfect. Good breakfast, welcoming hosts, good location, near a plenty of good restaurants. I really recommend this place.

Review 16:none

Review 17:The place has been wonderfully anointed. The hosts have taken pains to ensure comfort and boutique experience. The surroundings are quiet and beautiful for walks or cycle rides. The station all in all is a wonderful experience. The breakfast is quite scrumptious. surely ask for the omelet during the breakfast. its quite good

Review 18:Absolutely no bad experience but guests need to know that it's a bit of a hike (15-20 mins walk crossing busy roads) to the City bus/tram.

Review 19:Great place. Rustic meets classy in a fabulous way. Innkeepers, food, rooms, it's all definitely worth the time and money. Would absolutely stay here again. Good luck getting getting a rm though. This place is going to be booked all the time.

Review 20:The couple are really very nice people and I can tell from their smile that they enjoy running this B&B. They welcomed us very warmly when we arrived late at night without any complaints and even helped us took our heavy luggage to the bedroom at top floor. The property has been decorated tastefully and the room is spacious and clean. The location is outside the city but very conveniently connected, which is exactly what we wanted as we did not want to run the risk driving in central Amsterdam !

Review 21:The stairs were a bit steep so if not travelling light or travelling with little children, i suggest you stay on the first floor.

Review 22:The property is brand new and has been maintained well. It is clean and spacious. It is very nicely located between Amsterdam and Schiphol in the city of Amstelveen. It is a short walk from the city centre. The street has a few good bars, restaurants and also a and mini spa.

Review 23:Steepness of stairs to the first floor; it wasn't a problem for me at this point but a year ago (shortly after knee surgery) they would have been impossible for me.

Review 24:Bedroom, bathroom, breakfast. Good location for where I was working.

Review 25:Teething troubles noted on previous visit were completely absent this time. This will be my preferred hotel during business trips to Amsterdam / Amstelveen.

Review 26:1. Heating in room didn't work on the first night (apparently another guest had messed with the settings) so, being mid-winter, it was very cold. 2. NO HOT WATER in bathroom in the morning so had to boil water in kettle and wash using basin. Again, not much fun in mid-winter ... nor was heading to business meetings without a proper shower. 3. Room was not made up in the morning - returned that evening to unmade bed, etc. Was told that they don't make up rooms during multi-night stays because "guests want their privacy." Suggest revise this policy or at least ask guests what they'd like. 4. When I complained about 1 - 3 on checkout and suggested that an adjustment be made to the bill, a reduction of 5 or 10 Euros was suggested, which was frankly insulting so I declined so was charged full rate. 5. Breakfast was great the first morning (was asked by Jamie what I wanted and got it) but second morning got an unasked-for omelette overwhelmed by two large tomatoes and some lettuce. Another guest said that he'd love poached eggs but he got an omelette anyway because it had already been made. 6. The stairs to the first floor are EXTREMELY steep and narrow. Do not attempt with a large + heavy suitcase or if at all unsteady on one's feet.

Review 27:1. Excellent location for Amstelveen and for access to Amsterdam. 2. Several good restaurants and pubs very close by (few minutes walk) in Amstelveen. 3. Interesting (fascinating, actually!) and very appealing, well restored old station building - clearly an ongoing 'labour-of-love' on the part of the owners-managers. 4. Well equipped, nicely decorated, large room with comfortable bed, sofa, desk. 5. Modern, clean, large, well equipped bathroom. 6. Very pleasant, polite people running the place generally. 7. If owners do manage to get a small restaurant / bakery established as they apparently plan to, then that will make this B&B even more appealing.

Review 28:We stayed as a large family group of three generations and rented three rooms. Johan and his wife were so welcoming and accommodating and the rooms were stunning.

Review 29:We liked Johan and his wife's warm welcome, the nicely decorated clean room, and bathroom. This was our second stay in 2 weeks, and it was as lovely as the previous time. We really felt at home

Review 30:If you want to feel like being at home whereas you are abroad the Bed And Breakfast Station Amstelveen is definitely the place you should book a room! I do recommend this hotel!

Review 31:Best B&B ever. Sharing stories, katarina and family including the handy Man Jamie were amazing. I will come back for sure. If you like people, like stories to share, like a cool way of life then you are in the best place you can imagine. Katarina is a lovely and charming person, with a great heart and she is always smiling. They can make you feel like home. Philippe

Review 32:This is an extremely friendly small place run by a Swedish couple. Since it's small it has a "I'm staying with old friends" atmosphere. It's in an old railway station which is nicely decorated.

Review 33:Very good, friendly and flexible staff. A cosy and home-like atmosphere. An ambiente not like any other hotel/b&b that I have visited. Quality through and through. Very nice and good breakfast. Really more an experience than a lodging. Near the airport.

Review 34:- Warm and welcoming owners and staff that open up their unique house. - Very comfortable rooms with great atmosphere. - Great location in the cute town of Amstelween. 15 min car ride from Schipol airport and 20 min bike ride from the center of Amsterdam. - Superb breakfast! I will definitely return!

Review 35:Nothing negative all positive.

Review 36:A stunning home full of history turned into a wonderful B&B run by a lovely family. Excellent food, and hospitality. Great location, a must to use the bikes on offer to get around. Made to feel at home plus a friendly fuss from the dogs.

Review 37:None

Review 38:I had a great stay, this should be the model to run a small hotel that kicks the ass of the big hotel chains. Everything was great. In particuar I liked the staff that was trying to go beyond limits to indulge me. The bathroom. The bed. The breakfast.

Review 39:Nothing!!!! That I cant live there permanently!

Review 40:Amazing service and hospitality (Katarina is an angel who went above and beyond in terms of service!!!)! Great food, location, comfortable beds, gorgeous house, staff and doggies just amazing!! Perfect!

Review 41:It's really nice. This B&B is really the place to sleep if you go to Amstelveen. Just beside the village, in a very calm place. I'll go back there if I have the opportunity.

Review 42:Leaving

Review 43:This delightful place should be put under the 'Boutique B&B' category. It's an old station building that is beautifully restored and furnished. The rooms are spotless and well equipped, with flat screen TV, shower … you get the picture. The nicest thing about the place, though, is the family who welcomes you to the place and looks after you. Very nice people. Oh, and it's close to Amsterdam airport, so very convenient for that 'last night' before flying home.

Review 44:It was outside of the fast pace. Just a short walk to the bus station and a 15 min ride into Amsterdam. Very quiet and comfy beds! Our host were so helpful and friendly

Review 45:It offers a great chance to enjoy this bramnd new family-run small boutique hotel. Rooms decorated with style, comfortable beds, great breakafast by the flower shop and friendly owners willing to help you anyhow they can. Recommented for sure.

Review 46:I'm quite lazy (here reviewing this place)...they were NOT. It wasn't only perfect, it was an experience!! I've never before been in a place like this. This isn't my last stay over there. Truly amazing.

Review 47:I had a wonderful stay at this warm and cozy bed and breakfast. As others have said, the family is absolutely wonderful and the meals are home cooked in a very comfortable atmosphere. The location is also great for business conferences and it is a quick metro trip to the center of Amsterdam. I am looking forward to my next stay.

Review 48:Bed and breakfast is definitely a right place to experience the real Dutch culture. The owner of the hotel is really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is really nice and Dutch style. The environment is really peaceful. It is really good that the bike is able to be rented by the hotel owner for free.

Review 49:None!

Review 50:One of the best times I have ever spent in a hotel. I can name the staff to he a "family" to all their guests! They were eager to offer all sorts of comfort and assistance to me. I loved the place and will always come back to them, maybe next time with family!

Review 51:Spacious and beautiful room on the top floor of the house. Very friendly hosts who make you feel like home. Breakfast is served at a big breakfast table with view into the flower shop! A bike trail (ancient rail way) just passing next to the house and a beautiful flower shop downstairs complete the picture. This is really like a B&B should be like. There is a big parking lot in front of the house and down the street you find some café and restaurants.

Review 52:Very cosy and comfi rooms. Hosts are super nice. Location is great.

Review 53:The steep stairs

Review 54:The large bed, the decor and atmosphere, the breakfast

Review 55:Everything was perfect. Our stay was too short. We will definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting the area.

Review 56:I was feeling that I had come home. I will be glad to visit the hotel again
