Reviews for Al Qidra Hotel & Suites Aqaba
Review 1:Breakfast was very poor and no kettle in the room the furniture was very old and the bed mattress was uncomfortable
Review 2:Location was excellent the staff were friendly
Review 3:Thin windows: you can hear the noise from the road already in the early morning.
Review 4:Room very spacious and clean. Breakfast abundant. Free parking just in front of the hotel.
Review 5:Would be nice to have a kettle in the room.
Review 6:Nice hot shower, owner helped to contact diving centre ( good price) and organised taxi to go to the border.
Review 7:Great little hotel right in the heart of Aqaba. Easy access to the beach, restaurants & shopping. The room was large and comfortable. Lots of hot water in the shower!. Good breakfast and a really friendly staff.
Review 8:Very poor breakfast in its quality - Coffee was warm and no milk. Cheese and meat felt like not fresh
Review 9:The triple room was big and clean, The service at the front desk was very fast
Review 10:The hotel sells a lot of thing which they don't provide - TV didn't work - Toilet didn't work - No tea nor cofee - Noting to heat water - Air conditionning is bad - Not a lot of choices in the breakfast
Review 11:People were nice. They made an financial effort but was not enough compared to everything that happened.
Review 12:We traveled here for my wife's birthday, and we left a note in our reservation about that, and they surprised us by bringing two slices of chocolate cake. Wow! The staff is excellent; they were incredibly attentive to all of our needs and questions, and they made us feel welcome and at home.
Review 13:Breakfast not as good as I expected
Review 14:Location. Good Value for money. Very kind staff. They arranged for us some scubadiving and didn't charge any extra fee.
Review 15:Not expensive.Various and tasty breakfast, big appartament size, friendly and helpfull staff. We received everything and even more as we expected from this booking.
Review 16:The room although big, was pretty miserable. The flush in the toilet was not working when we got there. The room and more or less everything were not adequately clean. The breakfast was poor and the restaurant where it was served, was the most miserable part of the hotel. Gladly, we only stayed there for one night, otherwise it would have been unbearable.
Review 17:The location was convenient. Other than that, we didn't like much.
Review 18:We were so luckly to choose this hotel. The hotel personnel behaved us very well. The location is at the center and the hotel rooms were clear. If you stay in Aqaba that will be good alternative.
Review 19:Extremely dirty, everywhere many many hairs, my pillow smelled after cigerates, the shower was full of hair....
Review 20:Good Room, 10 minutes to the city and 1 minute to the cafes and bars
Review 21:nothing
Review 22:Second time stay. This time we are upgraded to a super room, with wide sofa and flat tv. It's just clean, comfortable and tempting, I suggest everyone stay in this hotel.
Review 23:Receptionist didn't give me to choose a currency for charging my credit card. I preferred to be charged in JDs, but he converted the amount to Euros with abnormal course. I've lost ~15 Euros because of that. Wifi worked in the lobby only.
Review 24:Spacious, clean room with balcony. We had a fridge and a/c in our room. Helpful, friendly staff. Free drinks while sitting in the lobby. Good breakfast including hot meals. It is possible to pay by credit card for your stay in this hotel.
Review 25:The hotel is very close to the beach and coffee shops . There are rooms in the hotel with sea view . The breakfast is served from 7 to 10 am and contains variety of good food .
Review 26:The shower doesn't have the door so all the water goes out when you take a shower. The water never gets hot, you can only notice it's warm comparing it to the cold water. We had to fight against a quite big cockroach and luckily we won. The door to the balcony wouldn't open. The tv is old.
Review 27:Good position
Review 28:The wifi was only in the lobby and restaurant
Review 29:The staff was frendly and helpful. The rooms (stayed twice) were clean. The hotel is located in the centre of the city.
Review 30:We found a cockroach in the room : ( The door of balcony is broken.
Review 31:We are amazed by the size of the room when we walk in, and with nice balcony. Time we arrived is late in the evening, and we are nicely treated by the reception guy. To grasp some food is easy, for the location is so good, that you could get almost everything you want even it has been 12:00am.
Review 32:The WiFi is weak in some rooms
Review 33:Other than that everything was perfect. The staff greeted us with smile and gave us all the information we asked for. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. Location is great.
Review 34:staff (gemma and lilia) are very helpful and hospitable. location is very convenient if you want to be near the restaurants and shops. the beach is also a few meters away.
Review 35:It was extremely hot in Aqaba during our stay and the air conditioning was just over the bed and quite noisy.
Review 36:Good hotel, nice and helpful staff. We were recommended a few things (snorkelling etc.) which all turned out to be great. The room itself is quite big and clean. A few minutes walking from good and well-known restaurants.
Review 37:Our room was at the corner of the floor and therefore the wifi connection was bad, the rooms in the center of the floor have good wifi connections. But in the lobby was an excellent connection.
Review 38:Very helpful staff, we arrived quite early before check in time and without any problems they checked us in another larger room. No question was too much. Location is nice, everything on walking distance. They also made arrangements that we could be picked up by bus to go bernice beach. Had a very pleasant stay.
Review 39:The Nescafe for breakfast is horrible. I prefer the cardamom coffee you get on the street but thats a matter of your taste. ;)
Review 40:Friendly staff, offered welcome drinks & coffee as we were to early for check- in. Large and comfy rooms & bed, balcony on the 3rd floor with view to the mountains. Close to restaurants, busstation, market etc. Fresh Fruit salad for breakfast was perfect.
Review 41:Some of the equipment in the room was not in a very good shape. Also water pressure in the shower was low sometimes.
Review 42:Good breakfast. Parking available. stores nearby. Nice staff.
Review 43:We couldn't close the door of the shower. Strange position of the TV (didn't allow to watch it from the bed).
Review 44:Superb customer service (extremely helpful and kind). Big room. Area full of restaurants.
Review 45:Water flow was weak but not that much problem.
Review 46:Location is almost perfect. Right in the middle if city center and restaurants. Staff are kind and helpfull. Aircondition works well. Room was big, clean and has a big balcony.Bed was big and comfortable.Breakfast was ok.
Review 47:Only breakfast could be improved. Just some fresh fruit would be enough.
Review 48:The staff is just amazing. They gave us assistance on everything possible, with Abdullah unbelievable manager, Always with a great smile on his face. The room was big and clean, we spent a few nights here and came back after our visit to Petra. the position is great in central Aqaba, where most of restaurants and cafes are. Excellent quality/price rate!
Review 49:WiFi required daily renewal. The breakfast was all cold items, no hot items or omelette like most hotels. very limited amount of items. We felt the breakfast was extremely poor. Wasn't such a big deal as this hotel's location was in the middle of a very bustling part of town that included a lot of options for food.
Review 50:The room AC's were nice and cool.
Review 51:Bit too touristy .breakfast ok. Having a few technical/electricity problems with the tv sound, wall plugs and Ac .most fixed but shortly recurring.could use a few electricity and water/piping renovation.
Review 52:Location downtown, helpful staff, room with a view and balcony.cheap price given the amenities etc
Review 53:I didn't like Aqaba at all. If you stay in Aqaba, you don't feel safe. If you go there for 1 night, for ex. on the way to Petra, its OK. But for leisure - definitely not. Poor food of low quality, nothing to do, beaches for leisure are quite far.
Review 54:The hotel was good enogh for 1 night. ll was clean and comfortable.
Review 55:It gets noisy at night.
Review 56:Polite and professional staff, especially Mr. Abdullah, good offer for breakfast, comfortable and big room, nice city view, good location. There is a convenient shuttle bus service to the beach few times a day.
Review 57:The Internet connection was slow and sometimes it wasn't working at all
Review 58:The people in the reception were so kind and received us with a cup of tea and a smile on their faces. The room was clean and big with a balcony and very comfortable
Review 59:Road noise late at night, but this is the Middle East so to be expected.
Review 60:Location was good. Free parking close by. Walking distance to the Marina and shops/restaurants.
Review 61:The breakfast could be better. The wi-fi signal is quite weak.
Review 62:This is a very nice hotel close to Aqaba center and to Jett bus station. We received a huge room which was clean and also had a small kitchenette. The view of the city was also very nice. The reception staff is very helpful and friendly. There is a supermarket close by, as well as many restaurants.
Review 63:Aqaba is a noisy city at night. Keeping the window closed and air conditioning on, helped.
Review 64:Clean, friendly staff, breakfast included, price. Lots of little restaurants close by. Parking out front if you are lucky.
Review 65:We did have trouble finding the entrance. The trees and multitude of signs made it difficult for it to stand out, but might have been more us being tired.
Review 66:For being in Aqaba, we really had a great hotel for a wonderful value. The staff was all nice and accommodating. Breakfast is a typical Jordanian spread with a few Western comforts such as toast and cereal. Room was large, clean, and a great value.
Review 67:The breakfast was boring (but not bad) - not much choice, allways the same all 5 days.
Review 68:Very nice and helpful staff! Clean rooms, everything ok (shower, climate system, water cooker) Close to the old city center, dayly shuttle to Berenice Beach Club (7.5 JD entrance fee including shuttle and towels p.P.) for swimming and snorkeling. Organising of trip to Wadi Rum, calling cheap taxis for other destinations.
Review 69:Hotel is a bit dated, things like light bulbs out, some grout issues, etc... keep this from being higher ranked
Review 70:Great location, near shops, restaurants, etc... Plenty of parking once they show you where to park Decent breakfast in the morning Walking distance to everything in Aqaba
Review 71:none at all
Review 72:room is spacious and always kept clean; location is great, near to places of interest; accomodating and very friendly staff; value for money
Review 73:the breakfast was very poor
Review 74:The Hotel is located at the center of the center near the most dive centers and the restaurants, the market is 5 minutes walking The Room is big, the tv area has its own couch, and you have a coffee and tea in the room the shower is also good with private water heater.
Review 75:Internet was very slow.
Review 76:There was a free parking just outside the hotel. It was easy to find the hotel. The hotel staff was helpful. The breakfast was very good and rich. The room was spacious. I loved a terrace.
Review 77:the staff were great and the location is perfect right in the centre of town and in walking distance of everything. Surrounded by great bars and restaurants and local food and shops
Review 78:No significant problems. It was all fine for this level of hotel.
Review 79:Good central location with easy access to restaurants, cafes, shops, rental cars, and tour agencies.
Review 80:Since we had to leave early, we asked the staff to prepare breakfast boxes for us the night before, but they forgot....
Review 81:room is big and location is good. Wifi is also fast!
Review 82:The rooms are big with balcony - very clean. The view is really great and the location is just perfect, near the restaurants and public beach. Great service, totally worth the price!
Review 83:Nothing
Review 84:Reception guy was very friendly with us. Hotel is located near restaurants and bars (walking distance) and parking available in front of hotel.
Review 85:absolutely nothing...
Review 86:The previous night we had stayed in a tent in Wadi Rum and arrived tired and desperate for a shower...when we were shown to our room..it was just wow....so big, and with tea and coffe making facilities...tv (which we never use) and free wifi in the room....nice balcony...for the money we paid it was perfect.
Review 87:We stayed at the Al Qidra on December 31, 2014. We arrived around noon after camping in the desert, and we were pleased to be able to check in immediately so we could shower before heading out to explore. The best feature of this hotel is the location. It’s on a lively loop, just steps away from many restaurants, cafes, and a popular dive shop, and walking distance to the public beach. We had no set plans for New Year’s Eve, but we found a charming café a few doors down and spent the evening enjoying tea and shisha, and later lighting sparklers and eating baklava as midnight arrived. There was still lots of activity out in the street when we returned home, but it was fairly quiet in our room and we got a good night’s rest before returning to Amman the next day. In sum, this is a good hotel from which to explore Aqaba, especially if you are into diving and wish to experience some night life.
Review 88:1. The WiFi was really poor in the rooms so we couldn't use it.
Review 89:1. The location near many nice cafes and stores. 2. Very close to the beach 3. Cheap compared to the nice services 4. Clean
Review 90:Our room was horribly noisy but when we complained we were upgraded to a better room for no extra charge
Review 91:Location was great and the beds were very comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.
Review 92:Nihil
Review 93:Sleepcomfort super! Room great with balcony! Breakfast buffet. The Guest Relations Manager, sir Abdullah-Abualdarak never loses his friendly smile while he is extremely helpfull for the guests. He even gave me a lift to the busstation in Aqaba. Thanks a lot, Sir Abdullah. You are a gentleman!
Review 94:- Area is noisy (trade-off for central location)
Review 95:- Very friendly staff - Sold half-priced vouchers to private beach - Very close to water and other hotels, restaurants
Review 96:If you are looking for somewhere quiet this is not the hotel for you. The area is very busy at night and can be noisy. We did not find this a problem.
Review 97:This was a small friendly hotel. All the staff were charming and went out of their way to be helpful. This was perfect for us close to the dive centre and Marina Clean comfortable and friendly with a spacious room and balcony. Also plenty of restaurants to choose from close by or a few minutes walk away.
Review 98:Same problem as i say poor air conditioning cant make room get cool u have to be in air face to feel it and the bathroom have no key loock for the door they say have lcd tv but they have normal one some of facilities they say u not get
Review 99:Good stuff helpful respectful specially a young man in a reception at day time i guess his name mahmoud close to every area you need ..
Review 100:The breakfast was very basic. The rooms were a bit noisy.
Review 101:The rooms were spacious and clean, the shower was perfect. The staff spoke english fluently.
Review 102:Old tv (crt) in the room. The voice of the Muezzin woke up once in themiddle of the night around 4-5 am, otherwise the room is quiet.
Review 103:Location is excellent, downtown area with shops and restaurants, thebeach is also a walking distance. The stuff was very helpful, booked usa trip to wadi rum with taxi driver including other programs. The roomwas clean, quiet with balcony. The bath was in average condition.(Neither + or -)
Review 104:-we were served juice by staff upon entering lobby - upgrading us to deluxe room for no extra cost - room has balcony, refrigerator, satellite tv, sofa - location on a great lively street with good food and cafes and a great beer shop - breakfast included and was delicious - came back to aqaba 2 days later and they gave me same room for a lower rate
Review 105:Location and the fact that early check-in was not a problem. Right in the middle of the city, it offered good access to city attractions and restaurants. One plus for the reception guys who helped us with tips for places where to eat and get local sweets!
Review 106:we stayed there two times, and the last time there was no water boiler in the room. Would have been nice, but the service is super nice with tea with mint from the reception so it wasn't a big problem. Breakfast could have been better.
Review 107:Super nice people, super nice service, flexible and understandable staff. Expensive to travel from Aqaba to see different things through the travel service at the hotel, but has nothing to do with the place in itself. Also nice rooms, a bit hard cushions.
Review 108:The breakfast variety is limited.
Review 109:The hotel is really great and its location makes it the best deal. The staff is very friendly and they upgraded my room for free. The room was clean, the beds are good, bathroom is neat, and the balcony makes it every better and better. I'd return to this hotel next time I visit Aqaba.
Review 110:Very helpful and friendly staff Good location, many restaurants and interesting things around Breakfast was nice Room is very spacious and with a balcony We had to catch very early flight and the hotel staff even prepared us breakfast take away
Review 111:-Wifi didn't cover our room -tooo noisy at night you couldn'tsleep before 3:00 am because no isolation on the windows -towels weresucks & not clean -Breakfast was very basic could be better. -Theworker at the kitchen was very rude . -Air condition was not working -old furniture -if you are planing to say on this hotel make reservationfor 1 night because you will change your mind next day
Review 112:A bit noisy. Almost no pressure of hot water (last floor?) Arranged a taxi from the airport which appeared to be twice more expensive in comparison to regular price (that we paid at the end of our trip from Aqaba city center to the airport).
Review 113:Good location and price. Spacious, well equiped room.
Review 114:the hotel was a bit tacky, comfortable but not luxurious at all (which is reflected in the price)
Review 115:location in the middle of the city centre (restaurants, souks, etc) comfort in the room (aircon, good bed, fridge, etc) Affordable price
Review 116:the room is so comfortable just like we come back to home. There is a lovely balcony so that we can hang the clothes. The location is good where is close to the public beach. It only took us 15 minutes to the beach.
Review 117:The cost - After reading other reviews about the noise in Aqaba, I spent a bit more for a 'deluxe' room on the 4th floor. The room cost me the same as a 4 star hotel in Petra and it was 2.5-3 star standard. The finishing's - There were twelve light bulbs broken (its a long room!) which made it difficult to read and there were 10-15 small bugs in the bathroom shower (not nice). The noise, I think is the same in all the rooms, so it is not worth paying the extra for the deluxe rooms.
Review 118:Location - it is right next door to a local dive centre - a perfect spot for diving and 5-10 minutes walk from the Marina. Staff - the staff, in particular the guy who showed me to my room was very friendly. A complimentary fruit selection and kettle were not in my room as expected on arrival (based on the booking), but were given to me the next day with an apology. A great balcony - overlooking Aqaba.
Review 119:The hotel is far away from the beach and has no private beach as stated on the net. There is a free shuttle, that is very unreliable, that brings you to a very expensive private beach. If you want to stay at the beach, I would recommend you to stay in a hotel at Aqaba South Beach
Review 120:the location is excellent. walking distance to beach, good restaurant and night life spots. the staff is helpful and friendly. the staff escorted us to room and told us how to play with those electric facilities. the breakfast is so so but it still worth the money.
Review 121:Soundproof in the room and shower room ventilation should be improved.....
Review 122:excellent location, in the center of everything. friendly staff and half price entry for Berenice beach.
Review 123:bathroom was not completely clean when we arrived not really hot water in the shower WiFi was ok in our room, but some people gathered below the router in the corridor, so I assume the signal is not so good in most rooms
Review 124:perfect location: close to restaurants and a nice coffee shop next door easy to park in front of the hotel (at least during day time if you arrive in the evening it might be more difficult) friendly staff nice beds we received an upgrade to a room with a small balcony nice breakfast
Review 125:Nothing I have found worth for money that I spent . Staff were very poor regarding dealing with people . Sorry to waste my time and my money .
Review 126:The humidity in Aqaba was so low that I felt like a dried fruit. I had problems sleeping because of the dryness.
Review 127:The hotel is perfect for a laid back stayin Aqaba. The rooms are very clean and comfy with elegant bathrooms. The food the hotel has to offer is delicious. I loved snorkeling in the Red Sea and the atmosphere of the town. The people were very friendly and hospitable.
Review 128:The city is not so attractive as Eilat, the beach is not clean and the equipment are very old and poor. However, the hotel is much much cheaper than the one in Eilat.
Review 129:The location is good, and the reception are very helpful, they help us to post the cards also. Meanwhile, the manager upgrade our reservation to luxury room for free.
Review 130:The shower didn't work very well. The bed was not comfortable. The breakfast was very plain and simple--I hoped for more.
Review 131:The price was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was large and reasonably comfortable.
Review 132:our room air conditioner not working in good way room not get cold till we use fan & the bathroom door have no key
Review 133:good location near to the market good service friendly stuff
