Reviews for SuyderSee Hotel
Review 1:Toiletries are in the form of small sachets and the shower gel did not even contain enough product to foam up, but there were bars of soap. Must check out before 10:30, late checkout is an extra 75% of room rate!! No cooked breakfast. No room service.
Review 2:This hotel is brand new and has it's own parking lot, which is an excellent bonus and the main reason I selected it. Really nice, friendly girls on duty. Free WiFi!!
Review 3:room we had was very noisy, you could hear the people in the next room talking to each other. we stayed apparently in one of the old rooms, the new rooms are not noisy according to the front desk after we complained. we paid euro 100.00 per night, i think one should get a quiet room for this kind of room rate.
Review 4:friendly staff , good location
Review 5:For a 4-star, the hotel was quite basic - no fridge in the room, no balcony, no air-co. And the room had this old-furniture smell, as if it hasnt been used in ages. Not worth the money, I would say, even breakfast was not that awesome.
Review 6:The staff was friendly and the location was good, plus easy parking.
Review 7:Very poor bathroom facilities. No bar/fridge in the room.
Review 8:Very close to a Wednesday local small market. Sufficient parking space given the limited possibilities of the location.
Review 9:Fairly basic, some rooms quite dated. Basic breakfast, but still tasty enough.
Review 10:Comfortable, large rooms. Well cleaned.
Review 11:Lack of bar , dining room or facilities
Review 12:Lovely room and location .
Review 13:Had problem finding the hotel, even with SatNav.
Review 14:Private parking. Breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly.
Review 15:Pleasant, well-situated hotel with easy walk to the town centre, canals and harbours. Parking on site. Fair breakfast. Helpful staff at reception.
Review 16:Close to the main street quiet room
Review 17:Staff will make sure you are covered from Breakfast in the morning till Night when you need an extra pillow or washcloth.
Review 18:hotel is not air conditioned and this week was unusually hot for this area, however, we had a corner room so cross breeze was good.
Review 19:hotel has been recently renovated and expanded. Very nicely done, very quiet, located one street from main street. Perfect location close to everything in the town.
Review 20:Nothing special to report
Review 21:Very good location within the city, hotel accepted we keep the car the day after while visiting the city museum, room appartment is very large (4 people) and very clean
Review 22:They charge parking and internet! It's ridiculous nowadays. Not because of the charge (which is insignificant), but because of the negative attitude!
Review 23:The negative... Had to pay for wireless access - which is sketchy inHolland anyway, and it was free at other hotels.
Review 24:The positive - the hotel itself is right off Westerstraat - which is themain shopping/walking area of town. And right behind the church ofWesterstraat, so it's quiet. Enkhuizen itself is beautiful - walking, biking, waterfront, a variety of restaurants and shops, and convenienttrain station to all other parts of Holland (Amsterdam Centraal is a onehour trip). We stayed in a "deluxe" room, which compared to American hotels was really basic, but compared to hotels I've stayed in other parts of Europe, quite roomy. Two single beds (they were pushed together for my husband and I), 2 chairs, a desk, tv, easy to use safe, and an electric tea kettle for the instant coffee and tea bags provided. Great water pressure for showers, and lots of hot water. AND being in Holland, water from the tap very drinkable and quite good!! Breakfast was included, and offered a variety of food for all tastes. Not the buffet some Americans may expect, as it was mostly bread/rolls, cereals, yogurts, fruit, meats and cheeses, but also some warm hard cooked eggs. We were very satisfied. We rented bikes from a shop the staff recommended, and said they could have them delivered to the hotel, which I thought was a very helpful service. However, we went to get them ourselves, as I wanted to be sure the fit was right. We were able to store the bikes in the parking lot, which I thought was quite big for a hotel that central, and is locked by a gate at 10:30 at night, as well as the front door (there is an alternate entrance for entry after 10:30pm). The lobby was very welcoming, and it looked like new furniture (love the smell of new leather!!). It was quite comfortable and we spent a good amount of time there, especially to see if we could get wireless signal!!! The staff were all wonderfully helpful and always available. I just wish I'd known their names!!! (I don't recall any name tags.)
