Reviews for Dweik Hotel 2

Review 1:It was nightmare. The receptionist was smoking all time. There was no cotton case to cover the blanket. The towel in a bathroom was simply rag.

Review 2:It was just half a night before the flight. So I liked to get out as soon as possible, to get a cab and to go to an airport.

Review 3:Expensive. Breakfast should be included for that price. No view, window was completely useless since a wall was blocking it, so the room was dark and depressing.

Review 4:Location was fine, with pretty much everything within walking distance. Loved the AC in the room, bed was comfortable and it was quiet. For one night it was ok to stay there.

Review 5:Our room literally had blood on a lampshade, and the shower was filled with mold. Also, the toilet wouldn't flush. Thankfully, we were only there for one night.

Review 6:The bathroom wasn't very clean. The air-conditioning did not work so it was ridiculously hot in the room which made for an uncomfortable sleep. Super noisy & no breakfast included. Wifi hardly worked in the room.

Review 7:Staff were friendly on arrival.

Review 8:Low WI-FI signal, I could connect only near the door. No view - there was a wall beside the window in my room. Air Condition is old and noisy.

Review 9:Friendly staff, big room, location

Review 10:Unfortunately in low season breakfast is not available in the hotel. During night and early in the morning staff at the reception do not speak english, very difficult to get any help. Cold shower in the bathroom.

Review 11:Very near to the beach, restaurant and night life. The manager at the reception during the day is very nice and helpful. Room was really big and confortable with electric heating. Full of parking space in the road near to the hotel.

Review 12:the breakfast room is totally different from the pics, they have no buffet breakfast like they saying and show on the pictures, I was very disappointed because that was one of the reason that I booked this hotel, they gave us a coffee, bread and yogurt :(

Review 13:the location is very good comfy bed good WiFi

Review 14:1. The room for 3 was a bit crowded, although we arrive before check-in and they accommodated us.. 2. The breakfast is very simple.

Review 15:-The staff trying to make you comfortable -The location they gave us a room at the terraze with a view of the city. -Location of the hotel in the center of the city

Review 16:The WI-FI in the rooms is at best awful and at worst non-existant. Whilst the shower worked well it was rather cramped and as with the general decor, would benefit from a little face lift. These are minor 'dislikes' and I believe there are plans afoot to renovate the hotel.

Review 17:Excellent situation just minutes from shops & restaurants. Large twin rooms with very comfortable beds. The staff do not disturb you if you wish to have a long lie-in the morning. Every effort is made by Mr. Raghoub in particular, to ensure a pleasant stay for his guests. The WI-FI in the reception area works well.

Review 18:The stuff, the air condition, very bad service

Review 19:very grumpy welcome

Review 20:There were no towels. Also I haven't tried using the shower yet.

Review 21:The rooftop view was nice. The bed was comfortable.

Review 22:No breakfast

Review 23:Staff were friendly and helpful

Review 24:air condition smells rude reception

Review 25:good breakfast

Review 26:No hot water.....ever. My room didnt look like it had been cleaned properly, though it wasnt overly dirty. Staff were non chalent.

Review 27:Good location. Close to bus stations, atm machines and shops etc. Good consistent wifi (note that router was directly outside my room which may have contributed to its efficiency).

Review 28:cleanliness could be better and cost nothing to wash things better. breakfast could be better water is not hot enough

Review 29:GOOD LOCATION, good value for money, polite stuff

Review 30:Friendly and helpful staff and good service.Comfortable accommodation and good value and very good location . convenient and accessible to everything

Review 31:Durty room and especially the bathroom. Inpolite staff. The breakfast was in a dark and durty room where we received an old piece of bread and some tasteless fillings.

Review 32:Simple breakfast but it's fine. The air-conditioner so loud.

Review 33:budget-friendly, it's a good hotel for whose don't stay much at it. like me I visit Aqaba for diving and most diving centers around 3 mins walk. 5 mins walk to beach. all shops around you. simply the location is fantastic for me.

Review 34:I originally had a room at the back of the building (without a view or balcony) and I do recommend to pay the extra to get a room with balcony. The rooms at the back of the hotel are very dark and don't seem as new as far as the furniture and electronics (TV, etc). The balcony was really nice, and although it is on a busy street, the noise didn't bother me and I would prefer to have the light and ability to have fresh air!

Review 35:Breakfast is filthy. Room and Carpet smell is stinky (Skunky). Noisy and on-going maintenance all day long, doors do not easily shut without being slammed.

Review 36:The distance between the place and city center is good, 5 minutes walking

Review 37:It is allowed to smoke in all the rooms, so they smell.

Review 38:Very centrally and local, with some fantastic nice people.. The staff was warm and really nice. The service was excellent.

Review 39:the breakfast, smell, and we did our laundry through the hotel and they gave it back to us wet when we'd paid for it to be dried. This led to us flying home with wet clothes. Do your laundry elsewhere or be more insistent than we were!

Review 40:location and price

Review 41:DweikDay 1 Breakfast. Don't expect much for breakfast. One warm boiled egg on a plate filled with 6 quarters of Arabic bread quarters. Condiments included were a cream cheese marmalade and butter. Not the nice kind of each.  A second plate of olives which looked nice but not exactly breakfast fare with sliced sandwich cheese and sliced processed meat which in Australia we call Devon and is the cheapest of cheap meats.  Because when I asked for a napkin and I was directed to the toilet to get some tissue and because the attendant served breakfast with a cigarette in his other hand I give this experience a two out ten or one star.  By the way i did go into the male toilet for tissue and there was none. The  sad thing is that a friend who came with us and who was negotiating a good rate had to pay 2.50 JD for the food which is not worth it at half  the price. If that's not bad enough the restaurant staff who ate in the breakfast room were feasting on falafel pide hommous and other middle astern treats. They refused to share.I spoke with the owner who was attentive and motivated to change. This was encouraging.Day 2 breakfast. Slight improvement. The processed meat and the sad cheese were gone and a tub of natural yogurt was replaced but no fruit in sight. I saw fresh tomatoes and cucumber left on another table so I asked for that. No napkins or tissues but we were given a toilet roll. Worst of all is the breakfast staff attitude. A surly faced boy with a hood and hands in pockets is not a good start to breakfast. Staff smoking in the breakfast room is not good either.Heating.The room we were in had no heating or air conditioning. As it is winter and cold we were given an oil heater which we appreciated. Our friend in an adjoining room was not so lucky as he eventually found out 4 hours later that the hotel only had ten and they were all in service in other rooms.  He was given an extra blanket.Day 3 breakfast.

Review 42:What was goodThe location was central and well placed to beach being in the centre of the city. Roof top terrace is a feature which has a view of the ocean but it's  obscured all day by washing. It would be a good idea to move the line to the north side of the terrace. The rooms are generally clean and the lobby looks good except for the dying plants and the ashtrays although sometimes emptied are not wiped clean. A good size dining room but the inhospitable food service makes it an empty sad room. I would rethink the yellowing plastic on the tables that have been there too long. The staff are friendly and engaging except if you want something. The staff would make good fine weather friends which is not exactly suited to the running of a customer service based operation.

Review 43:There is no wifi at all floors (just only 1-4th floors). Breakfast iscontinental, but Booking.com said that's full.

Review 44:Good place in the center of Aqaba.

Review 45:Our air conditioning unit for the room was broken for the night, so the heat was a little unbearable :/

Review 46:The staff was very friendly and the location was excellent - you can se ejust how close you are to the water from your balcony! Also, the facilities were modern so you don't have to worry about the small things like being able to put toilet paper in the tote, etc.

Review 47:OK, it only cost 25 JOD, so I didn’t expect much. The room was a bit grubby, and the ‘hot’ water only lukewarm. Breakfast the usual flat bread, egg and cheese. WiFi didn’t work on the 3rd floor, where I was located. No outside line from the room telephone. My biggest beef was that there was only one sheet, and I don’t particularly like the idea of sleeping under a blanket used by perhaps dozens of other patrons and probably not washed (I’m funny like that.)

Review 48:Cheap. The staff were helpful is letting me use the reception phone for outside calls. The hotel gets a passing grade at the price, but I would have rather paid an extra 5 JOD and gotten a much nicer room elsewhere. But if 5 JOD means a lot to you then this hotel is certainly cheap, and you get what you pay for.

Review 49:The room we had was at the back with a view from the window of veryclose wall only. This may have made the room nice and quiet but it wasrather dark and miserable not knowing if it was day or night. Breakfastwas poorish. Just a tray of the usual Jordanian pitta, boiled egg, houmus etc served on a pre-made up tray.I Think that there may sometimesbe a buffet breakfast but maybe there were not many people staying atthe time to make it worthwhile....

Review 50:Business style hotel with good rooms. Location right in the centre ofdowntown on a busy but nice road with trees and gardens around. Easy towalk to good eating places, cafes etc. Lift. Wi-fi Good service to verynice beach resort by pick up bus for a reasonable price.

Review 51:The breakfast was not impressive, and on our last day, they ran out of eggs and didn't replenish them. When we asked about the price of a taxi to the border back to Israel, one guy overcharged us and quoted us 10JD though it only cost us 6JD.

Review 52:The staff were helpful, and arranged for our buses to the beach.

Review 53:The attitude of the personell was quite ignorant. They were not interested to help in any way like finding information about the city or to find a taxi. I did not feel safe at this hotel and would not recommend it to others, especially not to single travellers.

Review 54:Price ok.

Review 55:We staid in a room on the 6th floor and it was very noisy, because of ventilation (outside) and antic AC (inside). Depiste of the fact that we had a direct access to the terrasse, the only window of the room was blind (there is a wall in front of the window...). No sheet in the bed and rough matress.

Review 56:Nice location and nice staff. The roof top's view (terrasse) is stunning

Review 57:The staff were helpful, the rooms and bathroom clean and adequate for the price. The staff spoke rudimentary English and did their best to be accommodating. WiFi connection was possible after we moved rooms. i did not eat in the hotel so cannot comment as to meals.

Review 58:Window faced the wall of the opposite building, air condition was veryvery loud and antique:)

Review 59:Good value for the price, good location - walking distance to all mainplaces of attraction.

Review 60:They asked me to come back and check in at 12pm. Then when i came back, they asked me to wait until 1pm. It was stated that they accept credit cards, but in the end they insisted in cash only. Breakfast was not palatable.

Review 61:Wifi

Review 62:The price is abit high as compare other, but the facilities provide aregood and worth of value. Breakfast is abit too simple.

Review 63:The staff were very friendly and helpful. One of the staff help us alotby giving us a lot information, place to visit and transport.Thelocation of the hotel is strategic where easy to walk to market, beach, souvenir shop....

Review 64:It is located near the fifth circle from which you can easily reach allareas in Amman. The staff is friendly, helpful and reserved. Thebreakfast is good and varied. The rooms are tidy and very clean.

Review 65:The hotel is kind of average, very basic and nothing special about it.The staff was very unwelcoming. There is no parking available, allstreet parking. Their credit card machines do not work when required orrather they do not have one, I guess. Avoid it if you can.

Review 66:The staff not really kind, but not too bad as well.

Review 67:Good location, and cheap price. The rooms are clean and big. You have to ask for heating. Working Wi-fi on the room.

Review 68:The staff speak less English and not very knowledgeable about Aqaba. Staff were not be able to advise anything related to tourism. The credit card machine was not working the time I wanted to pay and have to for out the total amount of money in cash and luckily I have the cash. Staff should be more professional and should not be stingy with their smile.

Review 69:Location. The size of the Room and cleanliness.

Review 70:Staff was very nice, location excellent, room big and clean. And you pay what is advertised, not like some other hotels in Jordan where 18% is added to the bill.

Review 71:Staff don`t speak English, don`t understand us. The room is uncosy, dirty and completely smoky.

Review 72:Terrace that u can use for sunbathing, and bath in the room is good comparing to another hotels (of these prices).

Review 73:The balcony was to the north side, so in winter it's not worth to takeit. The street in front of the hotel is one of the main streets and veryloud. At night some little cockroaches run around in the bathroom, whichwas no big deal, but still a little bit annoying. Breakfast consisted ofdry pita bread, cooked eggs, processed cheese, jelly and butter (whichis hart to use on pita bread) and crappy bologna and was verydisappointing given the fact that it is a middle class hotel. No hummus, tomatoes, cucumbers, olives or something like this as in other hotels.

Review 74:The room was tidy and except for the broken balcony door in a goodshape. Beds where with unused and huge sheets (which is not common inall hotels in jordan) and mattress was very comfortable.

Review 75:No view trhou the window!!! Noisy aircondition (window)

Review 76:Goog situated

Review 77:Location

Review 78:It is not clean

Review 79:Location is good

Review 80:Music blasting out from the next room. Traffic noise.

Review 81:NO wifi in room

Review 82:breakfast without dishes and vegetables, the same all week

Review 83:friendly personal, near the beach, center of the city

Review 84:Price Location Balconies Comfortable bed

Review 85:The AC sound is loud and noisy

Review 86:The hotel is clean and cheap, you get the service you pay for. Staff are nice

Review 87:While some hotel staff speak English well others have very limited comprehension.

Review 88:Nice room with a nice view of the city from the balcony.

Review 89:Luckily I just spend 1 night and I didn't like it. The recepcionist was horrible. And they have little mistakes.

Review 90:-

Review 92:Good location in downtown Aqaba

Review 93:breakfast......(((((

Review 94:Very helpful staff, always willing to help.Peaple have good information about the city.Very well located

Review 95:The room is not well equiped with the usual Supplies like shampoo, towels,..etc

Review 96:Street noise located at 1. floor

Review 97:close to everything in city and only few minutres from beach

Review 98:the noisy street

Review 99:internet was good in the lobby, but not in the room

Review 100:nice staff

Review 101:Very noisy airconditioning that didn't work in the end, but kept on making noise.

Review 102:Breakfast too simple

Review 103:It was central, they had lots of helpful information and nice staff

Review 104:Very affordable and budget-friendly. Also a great location, just a short walk to the beach and to great restaurants. Room was very comfortable.

Review 105:A great hotel with a very friendly stuff

Review 106:Rooms were old and wore out. Staff at hotel lied about transport to Petra because they made deals with taxi drivers. Breakfast was poor.
