Reviews for My Hotel

Review 1:They need to renovate rooms. The room I was staying at has an old bathroom, bad smell, old bed and AC wasn't working properly.

Review 2:Breakfast was very good.

Review 3:Facilities need to be improved. It's a bit cold at this time of the year and the pool for example was not heated so it was useless. The roof top needs some maintenance in general. It would be nice if some complimentary tea and coffee bags given with the kettle provided in the room.

Review 4:Location is great. It's in the city center and near to many other hotels, shopping area and restaurants. It's also not that far from the revamped south beach where you can enjoy free entry. Breakfast is good. Staff are very helpful. The room and the family suite we booked were not stunning but clean and acceptable. Free parking is available most of the time in the front space of the hotel

Review 5:We booked a suite for 4 people, but they only provided 3 beds. They then put a not very comfortable extra bed in the room. Wifi was extremely slow.

Review 6:Good location in the centre of Aqaba. The roof terrace is great.

Review 7:Nothing to tell

Review 8:Really nice hotel and the people who work in the hotel really nice to it is not a 3 star hotel for me but more a 4 star for me and my family

Review 9:The staff is what makes this hotel so fantastic. They are so courteous and helpful, I feel at home every time I stay here. The breakfast is plentiful with many wonderful options. Amazing views from the the terrace pool. Great value for the money. This is my favorite hotel in Aqaba.

Review 10:Nothing to dislike

Review 11:Everything about it was good; superb location (centre of town), brilliant free wifi all over the hotel, excellent food (mine was a fixed menu) incredibly helpful staff!

Review 12:Can't think of a specific thing I didn't like actually! It was a good experience

Review 13:Location, room, breakfast, very good value for money. Gave us a room with sofa bed to use for our little toddler to save us the extra bed charge. Very cooperative.

Review 14:Ive stayed in a lot of hotels in Aqaba, they are all either super expensive, or extremely basic. This is neither! The best value hotel in Aqaba for sure! (If you want alcohol you must bring it in yourself). Lovely roof terrace!

Review 15:Very good value for money, nice facilities, lovely rooftop to watch sunset from or grab a drink. Most restaurants and cafés are within walking distance.

Review 16:Mattress. Yet again the national foam plank. Oh, well, no worries. We were always tired enough to sleep each night.

Review 17:Freindly staff Superb breakfast buffet. Nice pool and public areas. Great location in town

Review 18:Service was not so good. Out of 3 days 1 day we had to shower without Hot Water in COLD Weather. A very quiet hotel with no activities.

Review 19:The hotel locality was good. It was right in the centre of the shopping area. All shopping spots including Malls were at walking distances. Restaurants with variety of food available just a stone throw away.

Review 20:Mr Hannah at the reception was very attentive to our needs. He made our two weeks here special. Thank you Hannah for your kindness. Wonderful staff. Great service.

Review 21:2 rooms booked, the reception tried to put us all in 1 room. I should have booked the rooms in 2 names.

Review 22:Breakfast on the roof terrace. Helpful staff. They allowed us to bring in wine and provided glasses. The view of the Red Sea from the roof was stunning.

Review 23:The road notice was quite loud even with the windows shut; we were on the second floor.

Review 24:We had a family room and therefore we had two bedrooms and lots of space. The beds were comfortable and the heater/AC wall units were easily controllable. We were there in November so we did not use try swimming pool. All restaurants were within an easy walk. The front desk clerk was very helpful in arranging our very early morning taxi to the airport. (Which was great since taxi drivers are notorious for over charging tourists.) We had a non-smoking room which was fantastic.

Review 25:Nothing - it was all good.

Review 26:This is my second stay at My Hotel and I would use it again. The hotel represents excellent value for money, very comfortable and better located than the 5 star hotels. Great breakfast included too.

Review 27:Room was on first floor overlooking busy street so not quiet at night. No hair dryer in room.

Review 28:We had a family suite for 2 adults and 3 big teens. Consisted of 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area. Good value for money, good breakfast and helpful staff. We liked the roof terrace with little pool. Everything is a bit tired here but pleasant. There was an arrangement with the Intercontinental where we could purchase a pass for 15 JD for the day and this included sunbed, towels and water for the beach and also the gym and jacuzzi.

Review 29:nothing. Everything is fine.

Review 30:Nice and clean room. Nice and helpful staff. God breakfast. all the female employees are from the Philipines and speak good English. You can relax on the roof terrace and beside the pool there. Everything is just around the corner.

Review 31:There is no single carpet in the rooms. Maybe even a small carpet will make a lot of difference for some people used to carpets.

Review 32:I liked everything about this hotel. The location is in the middle of everything, near the restaurants, supermarkets, cafes, the beach, the hotel's cleanliness, the good breakfast and most specially the warmth and friendliness of the reception staff.

Review 33:Only one thing and it has nothing to do with MY Hotel which is the noise from neighboring hotel music

Review 34:The staff are helpful and friendly, the location of the hotel, the deal they have with Intercontinental Hotel beach use and finally the freedom the hotel gives the guests to bring in the drinks and enjoy the view from the top at night time

Review 35:Colors of corridors (brown !); poor beakfeast for European people

Review 36:Good location in the quarter of hotels and restaurant (and alcohol storebeside), pool on the roof and beautiful view, excellent seafood justbeside the entrance

Review 37:Room 106 was above an alley which was noisy. The aircon made the ceiling creak. People smoking in lobby is not nice for non smokers - this occasionally forced me back into my room.

Review 38:Great location to the best dive centre in Aqaba. Free wifi now (older reviews mention wifi fees). Shower is very good. Aircon is relatively quiet. Staff are very helpful and polite.

Review 39:- Internet connection was awful in room 501 - I think kitchen's ventilation and room's ventilation is in same system because the smell is coming to room through aircon.

Review 40:- Location - Hanna from reception was very helpful - Staff were good

Review 41:Jug and cups in room, but would have been nice to have a few complimentary tea bags and coffee sachets. Disappointing that when we asked to contact our taxi driver to take us to border, hotel Manager added on commission, even though he had nothing to do with our custom with the driver. We should have paid much less!

Review 42:Lovely facilities, great pool on rooftop. Enjoyed the efforts of hotel to be 'green' - appreciated that due to low season and small number of guests staying, that a whole buffet wasn't wasted on us for breakfast, we were served individually! Great presentation of food. Generous portions! We had one request for tea and coffee and manager went out of his way to provide us with it for our room (even though it wasn't meant to be included).

Review 43:Nothing

Review 44:Everything! Friendly front desk staff, food, the room & location.

Review 45:La situation proche du centre

Review 63:Large clean comfortable rooms. Everything worked, the WiFi, the air-conditioning. Great breakfast buffet!

Review 72:The staff is friendly! Comfy bed!

Review 73:The elevator door makes loud noise everytime the door closes. Especially at nite when im sleeping

Review 86:Small rooms Not very tidy Little maintance

Review 87:Location close to center Pool on roof

Review 88:Front rooms a bit noisy

Review 89:Location and breakfast.

Review 90:Dry hotel - No alcohol served even when its full of western customers - other hotels in Aqaba serve alcohol

Review 91:Comfortable rooms

Review 92:Aircon blew directly at us when in bed. Please add some extra music to the restaurant,

Review 93:The staff were excellent -very friendly and accommodating. A special mention to Ali in the restaurant The location was really good. Plenty of car parking spaces.

Review 94:needs lots of maintenance - some staff needs to take care of their personal hygiene.

Review 95:good breakfast and staff are friendly - good choice if you are traveling on a low budget.

Review 96:The ratings and reviews of other travellers are correct; the staff (especially mr. Hamdan) is very friendly and helpful. They arranged a trip to Wadi Rum for me, and when I was nog certain if I would stay another night or cancel it, it was not a problem at all. They were very flexible, also when I changed my booking. The discount for the facilities at the Intercontinental is also great, really recommend hanging out a day at their swimmingpoolcomplex with beach! Berini beach is also fine for an afternoon.

Review 97:Everything was great. Friendly staff who are able to make adjustments as per need of guests. Probably one of the properties which were exactly as pictured on booking. Com. wonderful place to stay

Review 98:The breakfast could have been a bit more delicious, but it totally served its purpose if you're on a budget. They have a made-to-order eggs section which was nice. The rooftop pool wasn't really tempting, but who needs it? Can't beat the location, so can always have breakfast everywhere else....

Review 99:The location was terrific. Right in the center, with the great restaurant Floka beneath. The hotel served its purpose and was very functional. Rooms were clean, neat. Service was cordial. Breakfast was decent (but not much more). They have the voucher system for the Intercontinental and Berenice Beach, which were fantastic. You cannot go wrong with the price. Great value for money.

Review 100:The hotel is close to a main road and the traffic was quite noisy especially on the Friday night.

Review 101:Our room was very comfortable and spacious although it smelled slightly of smoking when we arrived. We opened the windows and that improved things. We enjoyed the rooftop pool briefly. Breakfast was excellent. It is very good value for money.

Review 102:It would have been nice to have had a proper beer or glass of wine in the bar upstairs however this wasnt an issue as we went across the road to the Rovers Return pub.

Review 103:Great location within Aqaba, restaurants very close by everything in walking distance. The hotel has a deal for the Berenice beach club (7 JOD per person) and also with the Intercon (15 JOD per person), this was a wonderful deal and we spent a lovely relaxing day at the Berenice beach club. The hotel were very accommodating and friendly.

Review 104:the trafic noise at night I recommend a room away from the street with a Sinai view

Review 105:the overall standard is excellent the helpfullness of the personal -the rooms in size -the comforts of the rooms -excellent clean-the quality of the breakfast everything fresh prepared from the coffee to the omelett the view from the restaurant excellent service and flexible opening hours so you can getbreakfast already at 6am and go for a trip already at 6.30 I definetly recommend recommend a stay there as you c

Review 106:The hotel doesn't offer free wi-fi, you have to pay 2 JOD for an hour , which is very expensive. I didn't like that it was hone on the room floor.

Review 107:The hotel is situated in the center of Aqaba, 5 minutes away from the beach, in the best part of the city. It is the perfect option if you're planning to spend a few days at the seaside. It also offers a good breakfast, the restaurant being situated at the top floor, revealing an extraordinary view over Aqaba and the Red Sea.

Review 108:No alcohol is served on the premises of this hotel. Although one could expect this, sometimes we had a craving for a gin&tonic.

Review 109:All staff was absolutely lovely and very helpful with booking tours, etc. We had a great time, thank you so much!

Review 110:Only one pillow!

Review 111:The staff allowed us to nap in their reception after a long overnight journey, and then found us a room early after the snoring became too much! Excellent location in Central Aqaba, friendly helpful staff

Review 112:Liked every single thing. Staff attentive. Breakfast plentiful and varied. Room was very clean.Of all the hotels we used in Jordan this was b y far the best

Review 113:Little bit over aged room equipment. Don't expect to much - but you get value for your money

Review 114:Onroof pool is a nice feature after dessert tours, Breakfast was tasty and complete...

Review 115:Service a little patchy, for example we didn't have any coffee orteabags in the room and although we rang and were promised some, itnever arrived. But overall a nice stay

Review 116:We liked the spacious rooms, comfortable furnishings and clean bathroom. We also liked the free internet we were given when we asked, at check-in. The breakfast was varied and nice, in a pleasant location in therooftop restaurant.

Review 117:Wi-Fi is not free. Rooms looked a bit aged. Public parking in front of the hotel was not adequate when we were there.

Review 118:Great Location, good breakfast, decent staff. A very good choice to enjoy the vibrant Aqaba town life, a lot of restaurants/shopping within walking distance. Their tie-up with Intercontinental hotel, Berenice club gives access to the beaches at a great price.

Review 119:WiFi will be a great asset to the hotel, We have managed to do some emails while we were out.

Review 120:Extremely friendly staff, Always with a smile. Hanna at the front desk is very helpful, Ali which works in the restaurant is a very funny person, And everyone else. Review 121:Pool is at roof exposed to sun Shower water pressure is low No carpets in the room

Review 122:Room size Breakfast View AC Reception Parking Price Location for shopping

Review 123:The pool on the rooftop was nice but women were not using it so my wife did not feel comfortable to swim in it.

Review 124:The rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning was quiet. The breakfast had enough variety although after three days it would have become boring. The staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is used by locals and foreigners so it did not feel like a foreigners hang out.

Review 125:The breakfast food variety was a bit poor, but the fantastic omelet prepared by the chef as per the ingredients you like made up big time.

Review 126:Extremely friendly staff and excellent central location.
