Review 1：The Hotel and the staff were great! Booking.com dissapointed me by giving me false Information regarding contacting the Hotel to Change my booking!

Review 2：Two single beds were put together and that was very uncomfortable specially for exclusive room, Extra charges for water and pringles which were in the room When we're checking out they ask me questions what did we eat from the room so we paid 30euro extra inc.Tax

Review 5：Very friendly staff, lovely location, about 10 minute walk to the center. The path on top of the old dike/fortification is just across the street - and was a very nice walk around the circumference of the town.

Review 6：Everything was just perfect for us. We moved to a bigger hotel in Zaandam and commented on how lovely it was to have personal service in this hotel! The barman/owner remembered what drinks we liked which was lovely!

Review 21：There was a large party of visitors and the room given to us was through the dining area. The group were loud till late night and a real disturbance. also, suddenly in the middle of the night at 2.30 am there were unexplained loud banging noises from the first floor which went on for over 10 minutes and were really scary. Would have preferred if the location was closer to the harbor area as this was a very quiet area. And hated the the room view which looked into vehicles in the parking lot.

Review 23：-Towels are old, not white but already grey, with holes; guest does not perceive this as hygenic - Between the mattress and the linen, the typical inbetween sheet (e.g. molton-sheet to soak the sweat) has been missing for a while; guest does not feel that the mattress is clean and hygenic - Breakfast: tomato's are frozen, no bread tongs (guest has to pick the croissants with their hands; perceived as not hygenic)

Review 31：One drawback was the location, on a major access to the town centre. The traffic was not heavy, but the road is made of bricks which create quite a bit of noise when driven over even at low speed. The noise was unacceptable when the windows were open, and in the warm weather we found the room somewhat stifling with the windows closed. We had requested a quiet room when booking, but the receptionist checked and claimed this request had not been passed on to the hotel, even though it was on my confirmation. Under similar circumstances (i.e. warm weather), I would not stay there again.

Review 32：The Hotel Restaurant de Koepoort is much as advertised. At 16m2 the rooms are adequate without being spacious. There is a shortage of hanging space for clothes, but the décor is pleasing. Breakfast, included in the price, is buffet style with a good range of the usual ham, cheese and spreads, plus a selection of hot foods and pastries. The coffee machine provides surprisingly good coffee. The breakfast room is pleasant. Outside, parking space is available, and bicycles can be locked up overnight. The staff was friendly without being chatty.

Review 65：Good hotel with an astounding restaurant. The Chef's Surprise dinnerwas our best yet in four weeks around Europe. The hotel is a 20- minute(1.5 km) walk from the Zuidersee Museum, down the main pedestrian streetin town. Hope to return for another surprise from that chef!

Review 66：There were no signposts to say it was a hotel, but this is likely because of redecoration of the exterior. But a big tree is likely to block the view of travellers coming from the main road. It is within site of the old city wall 'keep', so drive slowly, or you'll miss it!

Review 67：All fixtures and fittings were brand new, a very comfortable room with spa bath and super size beds. Breakfast was brilliant, all freshly made and plentiful. Secure parking garage opposite the hotel and right on the very edge of town.

Review 68：The whole hotel lacked character and was very sterile. The bathroom was so small I bumped my head on the towel rack and it was very difficult to find the bed lights switches. There was no room on one side of the bed to move. It was very noisy and I walked into the outside door because it opened in front of mine. I was charged 50€ deposit when I had travelled throughout France and Holland and was never asked to do this and then when I went to collect the refund I was suddenly charged city tax in spite of having paid in full the night before. Staff very nonchalant. Bottom sheet in bed very rough. Got 2 hours sleep as could hear through the walls.

Booked one week ago!!!. My colleague could have a room whilst I had to relocate to another room further in the town. Bad Service! If you book through booking.com hotel staff do not read the information properly!

Review 73：Every time we used the shower, the entire bathroom flooded. It seemsthat a designer look was more important than practicality. Staff atbreakfast were too slow to ask if we wanted tea/coffee. The size ofthe tea when it came (after a long wait) was too small! Self-servicetea/coffee would be much better. The fruit salad was finished halfway through the breakfast time range and wasn't replaced. The nextday, there was no fruit salad. The cooked breakfast was cold andlimited. There were only patsries on one of the two days.
