Review 2:The B & B was in the quaint historic center of Polignano, just a few steps away from the sea. It was beautiful! Monica's restaurant recommendations were perfect!
Review 3:We had a difficult time finding the place. At breakfast there was only one person serving so if you wanted your coffee or something on the buffet was out, you had to ask the server and she had too much to do. Also, we had to unlock 3 doors to get to our room.
Review 4:Beautiful location.
Review 5:Even though we came late, we felt very welcome. Dominico advised us on the restaurants and places to see. All was worth visiting. We also appreciated good breakfast with fantastic view from the terrace.
Review 6:Fantastic property in great location. Our host Domenico was excellent meeting our taxi on arrival and giving very useful advice about Polliganano a mare. The link with Polliganano in Love was an excellent bonus, with them organising car hire, boat trip and complementary rickshaw rides.
Review 7:Information about parking and rickshaw transfer would have been helpful before arrival.
Review 8:Roof terrace for breakfast is wonderful, Dominick is very friendly and helpful and bakes exceedingly good cakes!
Review 9:Domenico is the best host ever. Within 5 minutes we had a map with suggested places to visit and recommended restaurants. Always smiling and helpful! Breakfast on terrace overlooking the water was great. We loved the ceiling fan!
Review 10:Room was a bit on the small side but very comfortable .
Review 11:Staff very obliging. Breakfast was a feast of goodies delivered to our roon as we had to leave before the breakfast started.
Review 12:Bed / mattress too hard.
Review 13:Central historic location Great place to just walk around n discover lovely slow pace of Puglia. Domenico was an absolute treasure & credit to his profession - faultless with wonderful sense of humour.
Review 14:Host is rather busy, works very hard and has many roles, but we occasionally felt he was a bit annoyed if we disrupted his schedule.
Review 15:Rooftop position of breakfast room. Transfer from parking spot. Terrific location. Character of room (ceilings, etc)
Review 16:View of the sea while having breakfast on the terrasse. That the staff waited for us although we arrived after the latest check-in time (which is rather early).
Review 17:Difficult to find No wifi reception in the room Booking.com indicates on site parking, but it was in an off site parking lot blocks away.
Review 18:Breakfast on the terrace Location in the historic center Staff recommendations
Review 19:They pick us up with the nice richshaw bike and took us to and from the B and B. The car was looked in to a privat place so we dont have to think about that. The B and B was in the heart og centro Storico. And the staff was very nice and helpful. We had a fantastic breakfast in the topfloor with beautiful seaview. We just stay there for one nigth, but would love come back for a longer stay.
Review 20:Breakfasts were excellent:-Homemade cake, warmed croissants, yogurts together with cold meat and little bruschetta. The owners went out of their way to help and answer our demands.
Review 21:All good!
Review 22:The Parking Lot and Pedicab transport options were excellent! Took all the stress out of staying in the Centro Storico! Except deciding where to eat, of course. Even that was easy due to their great info.
Review 23:The staff were very friendly and still pleasant after having to meet us at the trainstation when we were late arriving. The location and veiws were beautiful, the room/appartment was incrediable and full of mediterranean characteristics. Breakfast was on top of the main hotel block, we got eat some lovely food while looking across amazing scenery.
Review 24:There was very little to fault the B&B, a kettle in the room would have been great.
Review 25:We thought the rickshaw transfer from the car to the B&B was an excellent idea and set us off on a great holiday. Domenico was charming and a great source of local knowledge by recommending the best restaurants. Breakfast on the rooftop terrace was fantastic.
Review 26:Didn't like the cheese cake, nutella cakes etc. for breakfast as too rich. Nice quiches would have been good instead. Would have liked self service meat and cheese rather than the plate brought to our table. Some had too much and others might have liked more. We left too early for breakfast on our departure day. Rather than letting us pick what we wanted the day before and put it in our refrig, he insisted on bringing us a tray the night before with his selections---many of which we didn't like.
Review 27:We stayed five nights and glad we opted for the large double as it was nice with a seating area. Saw into the rooms on the first floor and they were small with no windows. They arranged for a private pick up and return to the airport for 60 Euro for the two of us and that worked well. Listen to their opinions on what restaurants are good value and good food and which are not. Nice location in the center of town.
Review 28:Breakfast was served on the roof top terrace. Incredible seaview although the building is not in the first row. Incredible cakes (cheesecake) made by the host himself. We had the room next to the office (ground floor). Everything was fine. We can only recommend this place.
Review 29:Access to the internet wasn't stable and it's speed not sufficient. B&B provide parking for a fee (10 euro per day), but this should be stated more clearly on the booking.com site.
Review 30:Very nice location in the old city. Lovely accomodation. Excellant stuff.
Review 31:the wifi is very bad, you are disconnected every 5 minutes
Review 32:The good advises from the owner on where to eat and what to visit The breakfast on the roof top with the amazing view The hotel is located in the very very center of polignano a mare
Review 33:The host was very helpful and the location couldn't have been better. Breakfast was fantastic.
Review 34:Because, the shower water ends up on the floor, there was a mildewy smell
Review 35:Wonderful staff, fine location, healthy breakfast
Review 36:Nothing
Review 37:Location, clean and comftable room, breakfast and view
Review 38:excellent location, excellent room, excellent host, excellent breakfasts
Review 39:Everything was just perfect !
Review 40:Amazing breakfasts with home made croissants and cake.lovely views from terrace.central location. spotlessly clean room.
Review 41:B&B at few meter to the sea in the historical center. Efficient and pleaant service
Review 42:We liked everything!
Review 43:Great location, fabulous helpful host. Value for money, crisp sheets, comfortable beds!
Review 44:Only the difficult ponit is the stairs are so narrow that old people can not easily move up and down. Otherwise superb.
Review 45:Great location / breakfast / views Amazing. Rick shaw was a pleasant surprise pick up from station & return
Review 46:The location was fabulous and the having breakfast on the roof terrace was perfect! Well done Santa Stefano.
Review 47:The owner was so kindly and helpfull, night on this hotel was so perfect!
Review 48:An incredibly warm welcome. Definitely a memorable stay.
Review 49:Wifi was a bit strange. Doesn't work continuously, but if reconnect you can go on with internet again. I used iPad, but android on my wife's smartphone doesn't have this problem.
Review 50:Complete fascination while staying
Review 51:Everything was ok.
Review 52:Domenico, be sure u got another one friend from Russia. Great place, unbelievable terrace & view. Room was not too big, but it so cute and feels like fairy tale. So damn romantic roof & one of the best hospitality i ever met. Place in the old town, close enough to capo and the bridge. U can swim or jump of the rocks. Domenico's food tips is so good & he knows, where & when u should be to feel the city in the right corner. Thanks a lot. C u next year, as i said. Grazie per tutti. Tutto perfetto!!
Review 53:Th B&B cannot be reached by car; however the b&b will send a kind of Riksja to the parking place to bring ypu to the b&b.
Review 54:Perfect and warm hospitality. We had some troubles with our rented car in the middle of Polignano. Our host immediately sent some assistance and helped us out. The location is in the center of Polignano with a gorgeous Sea-view.
Review 55:The location is excellent, right in the old town. Domenico, the manager, is extremely helpful. There is perfect wifi and the room and bathroom were spotless. We had a car with us and used their locked carpark. We were shuttled to and from it by rickshaw, which was an unexpected bonus. Polignano is a lovely place and any of the locals we met were really lovely. Highly recommended.
Review 56:A suggestion: if you are driving, do check in before you arrive to get instructions for parking and getting your things to the hotel.
Review 57:Loved our tiny but super comfortable room and the lovely, almost hidden location in the old part of the city. Domenico was a superb host, guide and chef--he even baked tarts for breakfast, which is served on a terrace with a stunning view of the Adriatic. Highly recommend this special place.
Review 58:Everything. Domenico and the staff were so helpful, and full of recommendations for evening meals, and excursions. The rooms booked were clean and had TV, Fridge, Air conditioning etc. Would definitely go back.
Review 59:A place with a lot of caracter..fantastic location overlooking the sea from the top terrace. Rooms very clean and confortable, attention to details and very cosy interior decoration.. fantastic customer service..staff very helpful and kind, always ready to help and assist.. very relaxed and familiar atmosphere
Review 60:nothing

Review 62:We stayed at Santo Stefano at the end of 10 days traveling around Puglia it was the best accomodation we stayed at.The attention to detail was superb lovely breakfast ,friendly and helpful staff .I give this B&B 10 out of 10.Looking forward to returning.Cathy,Ireland
Review 63:It was one of the best accomodation of my life. Everything was such perfect, what you can imagine. Domenico, the owner was very helpful and gave as very good ideas for the journey. Unique atmosphere, absolutely perfect, for me 10/10.
Review 64:There is nothing I can think of that did not go right.
Review 65:Domenico and the rest of the staff have been very attentive and helpful. The B&B is very nicelly kept and has very nice terrace where a complete and rich breakfast is serve in the mornings enjoying a wonderful view. It is located in the old town and it is very quiet.
Review 66:Wifi was patchy Lots of steps to our room but not surprising in such an old building
Review 67:Lovely terrace attached to our room with views over the roof tops Very clean bathroom and delicious breakfast served on the roof terrace
Review 68:Shower and bathroom are rather small.
Review 69:Very helpful and friendly staff. Beautifull location in the old town and near the sea. Nice and confortable room. Great breakfast.
Review 70:Very welcoming host, we trully enjoyed our stay! The breakfast was very good, home made cakes of different flavor, absolutely delicious! The view from the terrase is unforgettable! We look forward to come back in Summer
Review 71:Everything was good. Polignano a Mare is a wonderful little place.
Review 72:Domenico made the stay complete. Excellent customer service! He went out of his way to make everything just right! Oh, the breakfasts were wonderful, with Domenico's home baking. And he makes superb recommendations for dinner.
Review 73:Parking is a little far away, but I believe they will arrange help for luggage etc.
Review 74:Spectacular location in the old town, unique cozy rooms, beautiful rooftop breakfast terrace. Great owner and staff willing to help in any way. Wonderful breakfast, especially the home made cakes and pies.
Review 75:Domenico is a fabulous host - open, good-natured and helpful. The B&B itself is clean and spacious and located perfectly in the old centre of Polignano. The breakfast alone - and the stunning view from the terrace - was worth the price. Highly recommended!
Review 76:the coffee. Two coffemachines: one nescafé, the other espresso (pads).
Review 77:Very nice location in the old city. Very friendly people. Breakfast on the terras con vista sul mare. Wonderful. Wifi in the rooms. There was one restaurant in Polignano a Mare that stood out: even famous in the United States, and right they are.
Review 78:The room was downstairs without windows and nothing in the website mentioned it. So we were disappointed but for a night its ok. Again the young man in charge was a real friendly person.
Review 79:Very good location close to the seaviews so impressive. When we arrive we were warmly welcomed. Breakfast on the attic is great.
Review 80:Narrow and steep steps to the room and to the roof top terrace for breakfast. This is part of the character of the architecture. Keep fit and keep your luggage small and light (although of course they will carry it for you)!
Review 81:This charming B&B is right in the historic centre. Lovely modern rooms in a very picturesque setting - an old fisherman's house. Staff were very kind and helpful. Pick up & drop off service to /from a car park by rickshaw was a nice touch. (It would be better either to pre-arrange this service or approach B&B on foot and ask for help). I can't think of anything bad to say about this place.
Review 82:Nothing! The place is outstanding.
Review 83:This place is a little gem: beautifully designed, equipped and run, with great taste and style. Its location in Polignano a Mare means it is in the midst of a pretty small town, with access to other historic local sites and towns, including Bari, itself a great attraction.
Review 84:We couldn´t stay another night - it was fully booked.
Review 85:Very friendly staff. Very nice breakfast served on top of the building overlooking the sea. Perfectly situated in the middle of "centro storico".
Review 86:You have to bring your luggage from where you park your car (we did on asmall street about 500 meters from the B&B, there is anotheralternative - if you call them in advance, they will send a guy with ariksha who will bring you and the luggage to the B&B) on unevencobble stoned streets. Steps! As in most of Italy, there is a lot ofsteps to conquer - we had only 1 flight to climb, but people who are notfit or elderly will have a problem to get to higher floors.
Review 87:The location of Santo Stefano is great, it's in the middle of thetown's historical center, within a few steps of historical sites(piazza, church) as well as good restaurants and cafes. Domenico wasextremely attentive and his cakes are magnificent. The terrace breakfastis quite nice, though it's a hike to climb all those steps firstthing in the morning.
Review 88:Perfect place in the middle of the historical center. We loved totally everything, people working there - very friendly and helpful! Breakfast incredible! We parked a little bit further in public parking - for free! - and walked ca. 5 min to B&B, so also no problem to come with a car.
Review 89:Excellent place! We stayed at the "Mansarda" room which has direct access to the roof terrace. Domenico is a great host and makes sure that you always feel at home. The breakfast on the roof terrace (with sea view) was just amazing with different cakes and a rich plate of cheese and ham each morning. Definitely recommended!
Review 90:The wifi didn't work for us, however I'm sure that if we had ofbeen staying longer than one night the gentleman on reception would havevery happily sorted this for us.
Review 91:The most helpful friendly staff we have ever come across. Spoke Englishbeautifully. Arranged an early breakfast for us with a lovely variety ofItalian cakes, meats & breads etc. The room was 'economy'but absolutely beautiful, clean, with the comfiest bed ever. Nicelydecorated with free wifi. Right next to a 'lookout balcony' tosee the sea, with a little bar and plenty of Italian fishermen :)
Review 92:For us nothing but watch out with the small stairs and big luggage/cases when you're not so handy.
Review 93:very Good very Nice Marvellous breakfast. Domenico is an entertaining hyper-friendly cake-baking touristinfocenter. Beautifull rooms and views in the old centerbut take care as a result al lot of small stairs and some rooms a bit small but with all comfort and help. Parking is outside the pedestrian- only center for a small cost/day and he even organizes bike-shuttle service from the B&B to Parking when returning home. Domenico, don't forget the recipe for the "torte ricotta" !
Review 94:Only spent one night there :-/
Review 95:Everything was excellent, small cosy hotel, with very nice design/decorations. Extremely welcoming personnel, special thanks to Dominico, who is the 'soul' of this place. Breakfast was big, good, tasty, not the one you expect in Italy :-) breathtaking view from the roof terrace.
Review 96:This was the best place I have ever stayed in term of value for money. The owner is a genuine friendly- and helpful guy who has great tips for restaurants and cooks very nice cakes for breakfast. Great value for money! Great location!
Review 97:The trip was not long enough!
Review 98:Everything exceeded expectations. A beautiful location and fabulous accommodation. From our arrival to departure just perfect. I cannot wait to return.
Review 99:Access to the Internet wasn't stable and its speed not sufficient as almost everywhere in Italy
Review 100:The amazing experience of staying in this hotel. Starting with its wonderful location in the heart of the beautiful ancient town. There's no parking nearby but so what? Sleeping within those centuries-old walls deserves carrying your luggage through the labyrinth of old narrow streets with those icons in the niches over polished by centuries cobblestones of ivory color. And there is a parking lot not far from the city gates kindly provided for the guests. The interior is of fine taste and made with love for tiny delicious details. And breakfasts at the roof restaurant with great view of navy blue Adriatic - bella vista! But zest of the hotel is .... Of course Domenico who presents in each and every guest's report. Italiano vero! Very welcoming and caring and well informed of local restaurants shops sights festivals traditions and so on. He even bakes delicious cakes and pies for breakfast. Great professional, maestro. He really loves what he does. I would sincerely recommend the hotel for most pleasant laid-back rest for those who love to explore new places
Review 101:See opposite
Review 102:I liked everything about the B & B and none of your categories above accurately describe it which is just as a beautiful base in a splendid position for exploring the area. We were sorry we were only staying one night.
Review 103:With open windows, the noise in the city pedestrian center might be a bit loud
Review 104:Very friendly, generous and helpful welcome with kind attentions Beautiful and refined desig of the very comfortable room combiend with historical architecture Scenic view from terrace/breakfast Convenient parking
Review 105:The information on parking wasn't entirely clear prior to our arrival, nor was the procedure for getting to the hotel with our car. Thankfully, we ran into Domenico (quite by accident) before almost getting ourselves stuck on the very narrow streets which are closed to automobiles. Domenico got us a permit to park nearby for 20 minutes to unload the luggage and then advised us on our parking options. The hotel does provide parking for a fee, which was quite reasonable, but this should be stated more clearly on the booking.com site.
Review 106:The B&B was perfectly situated in the historic center of town and really just lovely! Domenico was a terrific host -- providing us with wonderful recommendations for restaurants and attractions. He even had breakfast ready for us early on the day of our departure to be sure we could enjoy the view from the rooftop one last time!
Review 107:Leaving.
Review 108:The staff (especially), the roof terrace, the fabulous breakfasts - I could go on and on.
Review 109:Breakfast was the same everyday, could have changed this a little.
Review 110:The staff were so helpful couldnt have asked for better.
Review 111:Excellent location. Everything was perfect. Owner gives good suggestions for our stay and is very good host.
Review 112:The location and Dominique!!!!!
Review 113:Loved the location and Domenico was so helpful as we needed to catch an early train.
Review 114:NO BATH TUB.
Review 115:BREAKFAST ON THE TERRACE BAKED GOOD WERE EXCELANT.STAFF VERY HELPFUL
Review 116:It's brilliantly situated. Domenico, the host is very nice and helpful. The wifi is ok and the room is comfortable.
Review 117:Domenico was an excellent host, gave good suggestion, prepared nice cakes. Thanks!
