Review 1：I originally ordered flowers to be in the room when we first arrived and required a romantic setup as I was traveling for my honeymoon. Upon arrival nothing was done and when later requested I was told that the flowers might stain the bed sheets and the spots will be very hard to clean. If this was the case an email before the arrival would suffice to inform me and not leave it to the last second.

Review 2：The staff was very welcoming, helpful and very nice. The food was amazing and the service at the restaurants is excellent.

Review 3：Best sea of Mauritius. Blue bay is the best location for snorkeling. For kids，the glass bottom boat is a wonderful experience. I tried three resorts at the north，the west and east. And I believe this resort locates with the best scenery.

Review 4：Food selection was average, we had higher expectations Internet connection was bad but again it's an escape place so we didn't get that bothered :)

Review 5：The hotel's location was great for our short trip, 10 mins from the airport. We got upgraded to an amazing room with a great beach view. Facilities at the hotel were just great, you have everything from boat paddle, to snorkeling, water ski, kayaking... all free of charge for all guests. Staff was so friendly and professional. Spa was out of this world, amazing therapists. Our trip was just 10/10 :)

Review 7：The hotel has several beaches, and they are all beautiful. The landscape of its garden is also very pleasing. The water sports are good, too. Of course, the staff are very nice and helpful. The blue bay is someplace you don't want to miss. The water is colorful, some are blue, some are light green. I personally believe that blue bay is more beautiful than L’Ile aux cerfs.

Review 8：My room was next to entertainment area, so loud music does not help when jet lagged and trying to sleep. Very close to airport, so be aware of planes taking off and landing from time to time.

Review 10：It would have been good to know about the all inclusive formulas (all meals plus unlimited drinks) before (supplement of EUR92/person/day). Overall end up as quite expensive (e.g tennis is free but you have to buy the balls etc).

Review 11：Very good resort: All the pools, beach view from the room, the food in all restaurants was great, lots of activities for free (nautical ski, wakeboard, snorkelling tour, kayaking, glass bottom, and in hotel activities e.g fitness classes etc), great spa and various other facilities. Standard room was big as per pictures, good king size comfy mattress and nice bathroom too.

Review 12：I found the service to be patchy. The cleaning staff were wonderful as was check in. The concierge / recption areas and some of the staff in restaurants did not offer the required service nor interest. There were some excellent staff however

Review 13：No shops, nothing around the hotel, if you want to go and eat in a restaurant in the nearest town, you're forced to take one of the hotel's taxis which cost more than the meal itself. The jets taking off nearby are not as bothersome as some people make them out to be.

First,reviews talk about the flight path of the airport is over the hotel.Although we were here only two days, it was never a bother- in fact, itwas cool to watch the larger planes fly over. The hotel is beautiful!The breakfast buffet is probably the best I have ever had (they had thebest chicken curry ever!) and an array of so many other foods. Our roomwas awesome! Sunrise came right into our room- we sat on our patio withcoffee and watched it, then walked the beach around the property (it ison a penninsula). You must watch the sunset- it is amazing. Wonderfulhotel with excellent staff!

Review 29：I booked the hotel at a good over night rate or so I thought. The priceof dinners and drinks took the overall cost of the stay to "OVERPRICED" with no real option for light small meals. The Hotel isremotely positioned so not easy to just pop out and get an affordablelight meal. I felt for what I paid for my overall bill for 2 nights wasover the top for what the Daily rate originally indicated.

Food and drinks are also over-priced Limited dining options - on one evening the Sirius restaurant was closed while the Porto Fino restaurant was booked out for a private function - this left us with a very expensive buffet as our only dining option - we only felt like a light meal... If you book out one of your a la carte restaurants to a private group of guests then please make sure the other is open to other guests... Please play some music at the pool area etc! There was no holiday vibe... _____

Only wifi in one specific location in a basement called "business center". Minibar was not refilled - only when you called roomservice.

Review 37：The resort is in the flight path from the airport with the end of the runway just across the bay. The closing time for restaurant dinner bookings is 4pm. The Buffet does not have to be booked. However, if one does not want to eat a large meal there is no other facility open where food can be obtained except for room service. There is no menu for room service you just ring up and the prices for this service were excessive. Reception staff were rather off hand most of the time.

Review 38：The resort is very well designed and has nice gardens, swimming pools and extensive access to the water. Everywhere is clean and well maintained. The restaurant and bar staff were good. Breakfast buffet was good.

Review 41：it is ridiuculous expensive in season, which does not make it value for money. staff could do with a little more finesse & be more pleasant(although this is not as bad as Sofitel staff encounter). the whole image of the resort needs to be upgraded, the driver was as unsure as us if Shandrani entrance was actually Shandrani as there was no sign upfront. entrance looks a bit Shabby, seats at open lounge uncomfortable, compared to Sofitel entrance receiving guests which was smart & of a 5 star class. it is very isolated. so driving around at night is quiete a deserted 1. can be windy & water is colder in this part of Mauritus compared to north & west.

Service is extremely slow. A 5-star hotel normally has body lotion available in their bathrooms.....notShandrani. My husband forgot his razor at home...at Shandrani you haveto pay to get an emergency bathroom kit!!!! Ridiculous. Food (maincourse in the evening) at the "Le Sirius" restaurant was cold,and the lunch had limited choices and it was tasteless. The hotel reallyneeds to invest in new towels.
