Reviews for Die Port van Cleve

Review 1:The hotel is near to the port . The view is amazing . The suite it was more than beautiful and of course the bathroom one of my favorite. The stuff so kind and friendly.

Review 2:Below our window was the seating/eating area which was very noisy late into the night. The waitress was so miserable, she must have split up from her boyfriend the night before!

Review 3:We had a room that over looked harbour, rather small and hot with no fan.Lovely view. Area very attractive. Excellent secure garage to store our 4 bikes. Steak supper delicious.

Review 4:The hotel bar closed at 10 which we thought a little early!!

Review 5:We thought the staff were mostly very good apart from one barmaid who said she wasn't serving after 10 she did seem a bit grumpy. However the hotel facilities were excellent as was the breakfast. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Our room also had a fantastic view of the port.

Review 6:My stay at Die Port van Cleve was brilliant. Friendly staff, nice room and a beautiful town all blended to make my visit to Enkhuizen something I will remember fondly.

Review 7:could be cleaner (boiler was unusable but staff cleaned it upon request), bed comfort ok yet could be better

Review 8:Simple, quiet, cute place. Location of the hotel was absolutely perfect, great view.

Review 9:very good stay, nothing bad to say.

Review 10:Super nice staff, great location in the centre of Enkhuizen, near the sea, very nice view, great breakfast, possibility to borrow (good) bikes to hang around,

Review 11:Rooms overlooking the harbour would have a great view - mine was at the back...

Review 12:Very convenient, and parked the other side of the street. Enhuizen is charming. Enjoyed my meal in the restaurant

Review 13:I ordered breakfast @ 08.15, but had to wait in reception until staff arrived at 08.30 due to lack of communication. But having said that, the breakfast was provided quickly, was ample and included freshly fried egg!

Review 14:Plush hotel, warm welcome by friendly staff. Comfortable and well appointed room. Restaurant meals excellent - obviously prepared by a competent and caring chef.

Review 15:That I couldn't stay longer.

Review 16:Die Port van Cleve is conveniently situated near the train station, and is a comfortable, well maintained historic building that is perfectly appointed for a comfortable and relaxed stay. In-house restaurant and bar, spacious lobby, and street- side patio provide intimate places to meet and gather with friends or colleagues. The room was "period", very clean, and nicely appointed with contemporary fixtures. The staff were attentive, without being obtrusive, and went so far as to have someone there to have the breakfast buffet set for my early departure. The refreshing part, was that they asked me by name the night before if I would be departing early.

Review 17:Nothing

Review 18:The location by the inner harbour reminded us of our sailing days. The dinner was excellent, the room had everything we needed, including kettle and tea-making facility, unusual on the continent.

Review 19:I did not like the room I had but it may not be typical -it had sloping ceiling & was cramped with little space to move round the bed even though there was only one person in a twin room. French doors opened to fire escape stairs & could not be left open at night. One night rather hot as a result. Little natural light & poor electric light at night - my guess is some rooms overlooking front have nice views so check before booking. Room had all items one needed which all worked such as a table, fridge kettle TV safe but décor dull & cheap. There was no bath as apparently one needed to have booked a luxury room for that but shower was strong & bathroom clean.

Review 20:Staff very helpful when I needed to print document. Check in & out quick & friendly. Breakfast (included in room price) was a good selection (all cold foods) with wide variety fresh fruits breads cheeses, meats egg etc. although dining room has dismal décor. Nice location in centre of this small town.

Review 21:Really nothing!

Review 35:Everything

Review 36:We would have liked a mirror in the room as the only one was in the bathroom, so you were only able to see your face,

Review 37:We visited for the Enkhuizen jazz festival, the hotel was in prime position for all venues. Staff friendly and helpful room was comfortable.

Review 38:Parking is a little dificult, buy a 1euro parking card and play the 2hour"parking game" !! The stairs to the upper levels are rather steep but the hotel does have a lift.

Review 39:Great location right on the harbour front.Large comfortable very clean and quiet room to the rear of the hotel. The hotel has very good bar and resturant facilities. A very good selection of savoury and sweet items for breakfast.

Review 40:Nothing!

Review 41:Clean, comfortable rooms; the location on the harbourside was unbeatable! We had dinner in the evening which was excellent. We couldn't fault it. Enkhuizen is such a lovely destination. The ship in a bottle museum is awesome!

Review 42:Spacious room, good beds, large TVscreen (we didn't use it), simple but complete bathroom (shower). You certainly should consider eating in the restaurant: the food en serevice were excelent. Ask for the special winelist, or visit the cellar with a most interesting collection French wines.
