Reviews for Red Sea Dive Center
Review 1:The hotel is situated quite far from the beach (15 min walking). The staff is welcoming but absolutely unqualified. Triple room consisted of only two regular beds and one extra bed, very inconvenient. They organize diving but for significantly higher prices than their neighbours. Breakfast is just basic and always deeply frozen - we have not understood why they serve e.g. butter which does not get soft and spread even when you finish your dish
Review 2:Quiet place
Review 3:We booked a triple room, the third bed was an old fold away bed. The breakfast isn't up to much. The hotel is located a long way from Aqaba. The beach is a 20 minute walk down a steep hill. Car needed.
Review 4:The two young guys on reception were extremely helpful and friendly. The pool area was nice. We were hungry one night, very late and the staff made tuna sandwiches. Much appreciated! Great views from the roof.
Review 5:All good.
Review 6:Pool was good. Breakfast pleasant. In walking distance of swimming beach. Dive operation was professional and dive sites were excellent . Very well worth the visit.
Review 7:the hotel is a bit far from the beach and requires a ride. in general the hotel is far from everything and there is not much to do in the hotel but the swimming pool.
Review 8:clean and new hotel, very friendly staff. my expedience from the scuba diving was great- very professional.
Review 9:The "family room" consisted of 2 separate rooms. The children were scared to stay on their own in a room with external door.
Review 10:Hospitality and friendliness. The Wifi and pool were good. The room was fully functional and clean with aircon and fridge. The beds were comfortable.
Review 11:weather conditions: dust storm
Review 12:Staff is very friendly and helpful. They really want to make this a nice experience for you. Dive masters make sure that you to see different sites. Accomodation is good for the price. I very much recommend this place if you want to combine good diving with laid-back atmosphere. Do not expect anything fancy. You are out of town and beaches are arabic style.
Review 13:1) Probably because it was Ramadan, the front desk guy was pretty sharp. Not impolite, but not polite either. Same repeated the next day when he was checking us out. 2) Located far from beach.
Review 14:1) The staff are great. Specially the kitchen staff who were very accommodating and polite even during Ramadan. 2) Basic no-frills hotel. Great if your plan is to dive and you are looking for a clean bed end of day at low price.
Review 15:Smoking in public areas.
Review 16:Only stayed one night but staff organised a dive at very short notice. Rooms comfortable, clean good breakfast. dive gear good and a +++ to Amir the dive guide. Very good value for money.
Review 17:Nothing
Review 18:Great, very friendly stuff. Owner made us feel very welcomed and almost at home :) Diving instructors are excellent and all diving facilities, equipment etc is really good. We had fantastic time diving and staying at Red Sea Dive Center!
Review 19:However no wi-fi connection in rooms and patchy at times in the public areas. Poor selection of food and unable to buy food/snacks easily from around the area.
Review 20:Comfortable room, good value for money, friendly kitchen staff, good introductory diving experience.
Review 21:-I chose this hotel because on website they have information about 24/7 open reception. Well, it´s not. When I arrived from airport at 05 am, it was not open. I had to wait until 07.30 before anyone came. - Not a place for dinner. - Not a place to stay at lowseason.
Review 22:- The inneryard looks nice.
Review 23:Bit out the way too walk into the town (but I knew this before booking)but not much else around open (though I stayed in quiet season at xmas).
Review 24:Well laid out resort ,everything centred round decent size swimming pool..rooms are clean large and beds large..reception spacious. Stayed for 2 nights too dive and very impressed with diving gear and instructor(mike).5 min walk too beach and a gradual walk into sea too begin dive.
Review 25:We liked everything about this hotel which caterers mostly for divers. The staff is amazing, really nice and helpful, a big thank you to them. Abdullah makes sure you enjoy your stay there. He invited us for dinner the first evening, when they cooked an amazing Jordanian dish. They organized our taxis to wherever we wanted to go. We completed our diving course there and it was easy peasy, due to their flexibility and experience. Omar and Abdullah made our dives unforgettable. You dive from the shore and they take care of all your equipment. The Hotel is located out of town,in an area with other diving hotels and not far from Tala Bay where you. can buy alcool. No noise from the mosque, as it is very far, so you can sleep well. The rooms are large and very clean and the food is amazing. A place to come back for diving or just relaxing.
Review 26:Nothing really. Just be aware that the hotel is about 12 km outside of Aqaba center. Also, the beach close by is a public beach, which is not particularly suited for sunbathing and swimming, especially for women. The hotel gives out vouchers though to use the Berenice Private Beach for a reduced entry fee.
Review 27:We had a wonderful time at the Red Sea Dive Center. Diving with Omar was wonderful, he is a great dive instructor, we felt like we were in great hands. The hotel has nice big rooms with aircon. They come spotlessly clean. The food is simple but tasty. The staff was super nice, always helpful and willing to help us out with everything, be it a taxi ride to Aqaba center, organizing transport to Wadi Rum or honoring our special dinner wishes. We can recommend this place to anyone who wants to dive in Aqaba.
Review 28:When we checked in around 4pm the manager was sleeping so the housekeeper had to check us in... No a/c in the room (was fixed eventually), no internet in rooms, pools were dirty, our bathroom was dirty (the soap was never replaced from former guests, dirty soap), breakfast not good.
Review 29:We had to change our stay from three nights to two, which they took care of for us with no charge. The guy who did the breakfast the second day was nice and helpful.
Review 30:-The diving equipment was a bit weary -Far from the beach, far from the city (no restaurants/shops around) -Wi-fi didn't work in the rooms -The swimming pool was under maintenance -The cooking skills of the staff needs improvement
Review 31:-Very calm and relaxed environment
Review 32:Far from Aqaba city center
Review 33:Nice and friendly staff
Review 34:Very sincere, helpful owner and staff Lovely hotel; very comfortable Good wi fi, even around the pool
Review 35:Amazing Team, great diving instructors and very warm and family like atmosphere!
Review 36:the club its far away from see the room is too small for three persons
Review 37:the team is good and friendy and the pool was very clean
Review 38:Location wise, far from the city of Aqaba, but very close to the beach.
Review 39:Very friendly staff, always willing to help out. Excellente diving knowledge.
Review 40:Insects (ants). Lake of time managements.
Review 41:Some staff were friendly but some were not
Review 42:A great place to relax, rest, and enjoy the sun. Within walking distance of the Red Sea and a nice pool to relax by.
Review 43:Great pool, nice staff, clean rooms, good food.
Review 44:Wifi signal isn't strong enough in room.
Review 45:Hospitality and Diving service is great ! The environment is clean and nice.
Review 46:Very friendly owners and staff Familial and relaxed atmosphere New, well-maintained dive equipment
Review 47:very simple, boring breakfast (no milk, yoghurt, cereals or fruits)
Review 48:friendly staff, small size of the hotel
Review 49:Omar is fantastic !! Very good instructors and dives, very cost hotel, nice swimming pool and good cook!
Review 50:A bit far from Aqaba and the cities facilities
Review 51:Very clean, staff very helpful. Quiet at night.
Review 52:Very friendly ovner and service staff, good diving.
Review 53:At our stay, the pool had to be cleaned becasue of a sandstorm. No problem, but we could only use the pool 4h a day. This could have been organised better . Wifi worked in the rooms, but not stable. At the terrace: it worked perfect.
Review 54:Close to a good snorkeling place, clean nice rooms, decent breakfast. Friendly staff who provides info and gear for snorkeling.
Review 55:Little bit of a jaunt if you want to go walking around or down to the beach.
Review 56:Friendly, perfect place if you want to focus on the diving part. They were great with my daughter who dived for the first time. Most relaxing spot on our trip.
Review 57:Some of the diving equipment needs to be renewed so better bring some of your own gear or make sure you get good stuff.
Review 58:Very relaxed atmosphere and helpful staff. Great diving instructors.
Review 59:Not necessarily a downside, but they are 10 minute walk up a hill from the beach. They have a van in which they drive their divers though. Also not a biggie, but wifi didn't reach my room, but worked in lobby and at pool.
Review 60:Staff is so friendly! They let me check out several hours late due to a late evening flight, they arranged cabs for us, and were overall very relaxed and nice. Place was clean. Would definitely stay again.
Review 61:Breakfast. Needs to improve it like real orange juice and add more local food like local bread ...
Review 62:Kindness and avaibility from the staff. Clean rooms, clean area.
Review 63:Nice and well maintained place. Rooms are clean and stylish, with wifi and good airco, enough storage possibility and excellent shower. Nice swimming pool also with a little pool for kids. Breakfast is fine and also dinner is quite good. Place is very quiet, since it's the last resort up the hill and approx. 1km from the road and the cluster of other resorts. So it seems like an excellent place. Yet the atmosphere is a bit uninspired, somehow management keeps aloof (apart from the two Bangladesh-guys). Same with the (English) divestaff, though they are certainly competent and friendly. Also dive equipment is rather worn. Keep in mind that this place is a 20-min. walk from the beach (no fun in the burning heat) and a 20-min drive from Aqaba, so it's nice to have your own car (which we didn't). Apart from these small disadvantages we had a nice, relaxing week with good diving.
Review 64:Some public beaches are two crowded for a diving departure.
Review 65:The staff was very friendly and useful for excursions. Diving staff was pro and very friendly. We share some good dives and...met a whale shark. Great experience! Thanks.
Review 66:nothing
Review 67:very close to the Red Sea. outdoor swimming pool and air-conditioned rooms , Satellite TV and fridge in the room. very clean and the comfortable.
Review 68:There is nothing but a public beach and hotels on the area were Red Sea Dive Center is located. So are sunset there is not much to do. Most of the hotels have restaurants serving traditional jordanian food and of cource fresh fish since it is near the sea. No falafels though :( So, being vegan, we had to take a taxi to the center of Aqaba (driver wanted 10JD, we gave him 5JD for 15 minutes drive).
Review 69:Red Sea Dive Center is a great place for diving and snorkling. Friendly staff who really knows diving. We were first-timers but felt comfortable diving with them :) A public beach is 500m from the hotel. There you can go snorkeling and see beautiful corals, different colored fish and an underwater tank! But the beach is not for sunbathing, since there are many local people not wanting to see you "naked". The hotel has a swimming pool and a roof terrance if you want to catch the sun.
Review 70:We were disappointed that the hotel was far from the beach, and to go to the ocean (for snorkeling) we had to pay additional fees at another location.
Review 71:The pool is very nice, small but a good size although the water was cold. The little restaurant of the hotel that serves breakfast and sandwiches, etc. was lovely, good value for money.
Review 72:Local people are not very friendly towards European women sharingthe beach. After a weekend of local people, the beach was totalyfull of trash.
Review 73:We stayed there for 2 days after visiting Petra and Wadi Rum. The hotelis very good, only a bit too far away from the beach.
Review 74:Staff didn't seem much to care about their guests. When asking questions they either didn't know or weren't sure. When asking about diving, they also couldn't really answer questions, so we went to another diving school. The hotel is very far from the sea, it doesn't look like that on the photos. The room wasn't cleaned and no clean towels were provided after a day, which for the price of the stay you should expect
Review 75:Room was clean.
Review 76:the staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms lovely and clean and everything was great value for money. The diving staff were wonderful, I had problems with my ears during a dive, and my buddy was great, very patient and understanding.
Review 77:it is a pity that they didn't spend more effort in making the terrace and roof terrace a bit more cosy, because then it would have bin perfect :)
Review 78:The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The matress and pillows were incredible and the bathroom was very clean. There are comfortable longchairs next to the swimming pool. It was easy and cheap to arrange a diving tour (they have their own equipment) and if you don't dive, you can take a ride for free to the snorkelling spots.
Review 79:One of the nicest hotel I ever stayed on. Relaxing and nice food. So friendly personel. Really good snorkeling close to the hotel. We had a car which is rekommended, but it was also easy to find a cab.
Review 80:Needed more shade around the pool
Review 81:Basic, but clean and well maintained- good value for money. Great pool... restaurant more a cafe- but maybe it gets better as we were there very early in the season. Staff very friendly and helpful
Review 82:Good Location for family of teenage kids to have a go at Snorkelling by red sea reef . We also based visit to Wadi Rum (80km) . Very Friendly helpfull staff, Very Clean, - (sea was 500m down hill across main road to consider if you have family -but they have transport )
Review 83:Poor position-built in ditch-no views from room except pile of dirt.Basic breakfast Staff had to be prompted for any extra information. -Initially overcharged 100. Dear.
Review 84:Clean and basic-reasonable value for money.
Review 85:a little far from sea, you need car to move, but also you can walk if you dont mind. it is not easy to see the sea from there only from the main entrance -beautiful- and one small corner from the swimming pool.
Review 86:the atmosphere was relax and comfortable, it is a small place but very pleasant. the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Review 87:Not sure why free wifi is not included.
Review 88:Perfect location for clean, easily accessible beaches that are great for even the most inexperienced snorkelers. Within 5 minutes of leaving the hotel we were swimming in the sea amongst beautiful coral and fish.
Review 89:Water sports
Review 90:Quiet, very helpful staff
Review 91:Very relaxed and very clean. Very comfortable room. Good food.
Review 92:a bit far from aqaba city
Review 93:possible to rent snorkeling equipment; very big room, very quiet, perfect for relax
Review 94:Chips with everything except one evening when chef prepared an Arabian meal which was excellent.
Review 95:Hotel position. Helpfulness of staff.
Review 96:Limited breakfast
Review 97:Diving was good, pool great, food simple but pleasant.
Review 98:Great snorkeling within 15 minutes walk.
Review 99:all was ok
Review 100:the owners are extremely friendly and nice and the place is quite and clean. An excellent place to stay
Review 101:Nice small and clean hotel which has a deep pool. The rief for snorkelling is close to the beach and has lots of different colourfull fishes.
Review 102:Nothing!
Review 103:Comfortable beds, friendly staff, excellent diving and equipment
Review 104:The breakfast was terrible boring
Review 105:I liked the good cleaning and one of the best Baba ganoush in Jordan
Review 106:Location. Breakfast could be better
Review 107:Best value for the money
Review 108:Farther than I expected from the road with buses. In low season, limited kitchen.
Review 109:Very competent in setting up snorkeling.
