Review 1：Take care not to miss your bus or train to get back to the hotel at night, because it is pretty far from Amsterdam center so that cabs are expensive.

Review 5：Unfortunately the hotel is only reachable by bus or taxi. The busses need pretty long because of all the traffic lights (from/to the airport 35 mins and from/to amsterdam city 50 mins!) But from the second day we took the metro. Which is an 8 min walk from to hotel. The metro only needs 30 mins to the train station/ Amsterdam centre.

Review 6：We went there on New Year's Eve. At that time the hotel was for what it offers (nice rooms, breakfast included and 4 stars) the best solution and almost the cheapest. The staff was really nice and cooperative. The room was clean and spacious. The breakfast and the food at the bar was really tasteful.

Review 11：Returned to room for 45 minutes in afternoon and that was 'the window of opportunity' for room cleaning, so room was not cleaned that day. Did get fresh towels though, and since we know how to make a bed, the day was not lost. :) Bad rain and wind storm actually drove water into the room under the window onto the floor, which the staff cleaned up within 5 minutes of our informing them. :)

Review 12：Close to bus and tram but out of city. Excellent breakfast buffet with fresh omelets, good selection of cheeses and meats, coffee or espresso, fresh fruit, etc.

Review 13：The room's heating system was not sufficient for the room. I had several other friends staying in the hotel and they all felt the same. The bathroom, nor toilet didn't have a radiator, so these areas were especially chilly. Also, there was nothing in the room that explained how the heating system worked. We spent an hour trying to figure out how to work the thermostat on the wall, only to be told the next day by the reception that it was only for the air condition. That said, the hotel looks wonderful after the renovations. Definitely a big step up from the past years!

Review 15：Bathroom and toilet not renovated. There was a strange smell in the room - probably to cover up the smell of cigarettes. (the room has a private terrace which is used as smoking area). The bin in the room was not cleaned from previous guest. (cigars etc). breakfast is poor and breakfast area is not big enough. Not enough staff to keep up with cleaning tables and providing breakfast.

Review 19：The location of the hotel was a bit remote for my liking. It is on a bus line but quite far from the tram line. Only one restaurant (a nice one however) in close proximity. And for a four star hotel I had plastic cups in the bathroom and paper cups for the coffee machine in the room.

Review 25：Not so much bad, but on arrival, there were a number of things thereceptionist should have explained. Ok, most of the info was availablein the information doc in the room, but some items should deffinitelyhave been mentioned such as turning on the electrics in the room when wearrived. It was dark at the time which did not help. The evening diningarea is not located in the Hotel. It's a 3 or 4 min walk in theopen. No-one explained.

Review 31：Ideal location on 199 bus route between airport and Amstelveen. Frequent buses right outside to both Amsterdam and Amstelveen. Have been coming here for years, big renovation last year means foyer is 5* and all suites are beautifully finished .

Review 32：Buro chair considerd dangerous as casters are too free wheeling on the type of floor covering, perhaps consider one wheel at least should be lockable. For long stays consider an extra comfortable chair

Review 50：Even though we arrived after 11pm, the receptionist gave us a very warm welcome. Although the free car park was full he advised us where to park in the hotel forecourt so that we were out of the way. The room was very comfortable, spacious and attractive. We particularly appreciated the large image on the wall which provided a stunning backdrop for the bed. I don't remember ever having stayed in a hotel where there was both a bath and a shower in the bathroom! A quiet, picturesque stretch of the Amstel is within easy reach of the hotel. There are buses to central Amsterdam every 15 minutes even on a Sunday.

Review 61：In general, Dutch breakfast is very poor, but it is nort worth paying here as the staff cannot handle the eggs to cook for the guests. I asked for an omelete, but I was not served and I was not even feeling like asking again. The lady in front of the cooker does not remember what to cook and who asked at all. The hotel management should reconsider about the breakfast. It is worse than 3 star hotels in Europe.

Review 62：The cleaning staff while they replaced towels did not replace cups in room or tea or shower gel. The food in the adjoining restaurant was not great and was quite slow in coming. The takeaways were ordered near by were unhelpful and 1 1/2 hours delivery time!

It was nice that it was not in the city so it felt like a getaway. Best experience I had in a long time at a hotel. Will always go back if we go there! Thank you!!

A room was a fair size , breakfast is OK, supermarket not far from the hotel ( we were with a car 0 . Metro line 51 is directly to Amsterdam Center .

Review 95：I didn’t like that when I mentioned on arrival that it had taken me 90 minutes to get from the airport the guy was almost aggressive in pointing out that the Connexxions shuttle had nothing to do with them - it's on their website and on their room TVs! And I was only saying! Really bad start. I asked them to book it on the way back, they said OK and didn’t. The hotel is in the Wilderness and miles from anything. I'm a walker and struggled with the location. Also, climbing over decorators\carpet layers \electricians to walk up stairs was a pain. No nutritious breakfast cereals, plenty of sugary, fatty and fried stuff, not for the health conscious. Bad choice, will stay in Amsterdam next time.

Review 97：The fact that there was nothing available to eat at the hotel after breakfast finished at 10.00 a.m. It was not really a Grand Hotel but a bed and breakfast. The fact that enormous renovations were taking place throughout the hotel did not help.

Review 98：Location was excellent with a bus stop right outside. Location was in the country with views over fields and rural character. Easy to take the bus to the nearest metro/tram or a taxi into Amsterdam if required. All the drivers have extremely clean cars and speak English.
