Reviews for Residence Cavalluccio Marino
Review 1:We met up with our daughters who are working in London and there onlywish was to stay somewhere on the beach and enjoy the sun for a fewdays! Yes it was on the water but was So very run down when we tried tophone reception, no one was there to talk too about cutting short ourstay, after saying they would be. We actually went and stayed a night inRome, catching the train and stayed in a gorgeous place for cheaper thanthis. The kitchen cupboards were coming apart, old outdoor setting, youwould be wary to sit on. The pool was closed - not in season. Wifi wassupposed to work but didn'T. After all of the beautiful places westayed at along our holiday this was the worst ! and so disappointingafter not seeing our girls for 20 months do not stay in santa marinella... Choose somewhere else, it is all run down ...
Review 2:Ocean view was nice
Review 3:Pool staff didnt speak much English and were rude, serving friends/family and locals before us. The pool side snack bar was also unclean and menu very limited.
Review 4:Pre reserved sunbeds at the pool each day. Room was clean but very dated.
Review 5:In my opinion 4 star hotel should clean room every day, not when people check in and check out. We couldn't use jacuzzi because they're wasn't lifeguard, but swimming pool we can use, make no sense.
Review 6:Nice property with exellent view from balcony.
Review 7:Really run down room which looks like it hasn't been updated in 20 years. Air con does not work properly. TV does not have any signal. Mini kitchenette was OK but did not use due to €40 additional charge for cleaning if used. Extra charge for towel to use by the pool. Very overpriced for what you get.
Review 8:Friendly staff.
Review 9:No one ever came make up our room. We asked on the third day and they still never brought us fresh towels. We had to pay for beach towels.
Review 10:Close to beach and walking distance to everything. Small town and very quiet at night.
Review 11:Restaurant only served fish, wife does not eat fish. Bathroom needs refurbishment. Area a bit too quiet, not enough restaurants. Needs redecorating outside and corridors, although think this is happening at present.
Review 12:Staff very helpful and friendly. Pool good and staff. Large balcony.
Review 13:The cooking equipment was very poor. Tiny Italian cups and espresso pot. I brought TEABAGS and we would have appreciated a few mugs and a bigger coffee pot. A teapot would have been too much to ask I think! There was a choice either if a v large frying pan or a v small saucepan. There was of course other stuff but not enough. It was very irritating!
Review 14:The spacious balcony was great
Review 15:Its like a slot machine, Euros 5 to use the jacussi, if you use kitchenette, obligatory E40 to have it cleaned, more euros to have room cleaned etc. Should all be included in the price.
Review 16:the location
Review 17:Place looked a whole lot better on photo, certainly wasnt as good as we expected for the money.Whole place was very tired and needed a good spruce up.
Review 18:The lady on the desk was very helpful and obliging. Nice view.
Review 19:Pool was saltwater, no free wifi, beds and pillows were REALLY hard. Also in apartments if you use the kitchen you have to pay extra (if i remenber correctly the "cleaning-fee" was about 40e) But we would still stay there again.
Review 20:We booked 1-bedroom apartment, but were given 2-bedroom instead! That was great, because we were a group of 4 women. Beach, pool, apartment was big and clean, big balcony with an ocean view.
Review 21:Not the greats beach front but I am not sure if any where in Italy is a great beach. I tried several, Cinque Terra, Positano and Santa Marinella. In September, the down was inactive and you were lucky to find dinners.
Review 22:It was a great location for a beach, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Review 23:Additional 40euro 'cleaning' fee for using the kitchen that should be included when renting an apartment. Air conditioning very weak. Plug sockets in bedroom falling out. Shower dirty.
Review 24:Location- very close to beach. Pool, sun beds and private parking Lovely balcony overlooking the ocean. Reasonably priced. Front desk staff helpful.
Review 25:Just for you to have an idea, we booked for 6 nights, and in the first minute we saw the Residence we tried to cancel everything (we didn't because they asked us for half of total for cancelation)! We have been first in the Lido area around Venice, then Firenze, then Rome, and from all the places we stayed, this was the most expensive one, and the conditions were by far the worst ones. We know Italy is expensive, but we expect allways minimum standards for a room almost at 100€ per night... And they know they have very poor conditions, since they tried from the first minute to give us alternative. The thing is that all theirs alternatives are also bad! We arrived on a Friday, so there wasn't much we or they could do. On Sunday, many people left and they changed us to a slightest better apartment... We don't recommend at all this place! It's maximum a 3 star hotel and maximum 2 star residence!!!!
Review 26:The only positive thing about this Residences is their location. And even so, there isn't a "real" beach in front. Also some of the staff made extra effort to be nice. It's not their fault to have to work in a place in such poor conditions. And at the end, it's them who give theirs faces to the guests complaints...
Review 27:Appartements were not clean, muffy. The suite on the 6th floor is much better with a nice oceanview. But for this price it's not what it should be.
Review 28:Couldn't use the kitchen as the gas would not ignite, there was no cutlery and a 40 euro charge for cleaning!!
Review 29:Great location and clean swimming pool.
Review 30:Accomodation scruffy. Overpriced No internet Beach appalling. Asked oayment for hot tub- appalling Building badly maintained. Apartment smelt of damp.
Review 31:Very weak shower
Review 32:Large balcony overlooking the sea
Review 33:There are no cleaning service
Review 34:Very nice staff
Review 35:Didn't like anything not it very dated. Restaurant was very bad only fish serving dishes
Review 36:Room wasn't ready for check in. Staff rude
Review 37:Breakfasr
Review 38:we were allocated a very nice room, as per our comments on booking
Review 39:Dirty and run-down hotel. The beds were hard except for guest bed. The breakfast was too simple. Cups and dishes in the apartment we rented was not sufficiently clean.
Review 40:Fabrizio was my live GPS when I was searching for the Hotel. Appreciated. Nice and helpful staff.
Review 41:The air conditioner is regulated by the front desk - we did have an uncofortable night due to the heat and the air was not circulating during the evening. We had to ask several times for assitance.
Review 42:It was by the sea side with a relaxing view and private parking. The restaurant staff was wonderful, the food was excellent both at the outside cafeteria and the formal dinning section.
Review 43:Apartment was old and worn. Ventilation was not good..hot and it stunk. Too much money for the room.
Review 44:View from restaraunt. Pool. Staff in the restaraunt.
Review 45:Would be nice to have free Wifi
Review 46:Staff were friendly and very helpful. Nice location. Good price.
