Reviews for B&B Dei Serafini
Review 1:Tall people should pay attention at the door, i kicked my head more times. The room has no window but it's lovely like that!
Review 2:Really charming room, lovely atmosphere. Friendly welcome from the owners and beautiful breakfast bar. The location is more than perfect.
Review 3:For the money, a big disappointment. Our room is not among the photos, with good reason. Bathroom a disaster. No ventilation and very small.Floors marked with scuffs and standing heads of screws. Steep stairswith bad support and no railing at all in the entry. An unpleasant smellin the very tight and dreary entrance as well. The company rents outmany BnBs and seems to have many nicer places which I was convinced Ihad booked. No understanding with the rather snippy owner. I was verydisappointed in the whole experience.
Review 4:Central location, parking accessibility.
Review 5:One of our main reasons for booking this was that it was advertised as having a balcony, an important feature for me when I am away. Infact this one was much too small to sit out on - they didn't even attempt to provide any chairs for it, they wouldn't have fitted! Breakfast was poor with almost nothing left when we arrived at 9.30am even though it said it finished at 11.00am, and they did not seem particularly interested when I asked if there was any more. We had been travelling around the area, staying in several different places and this was easily the most disappointing.
Review 6:as stated before, WiFi is missing in the apartment. the breakfast restaurant is ~200 meters from the room so it is not practical to go there for internet.
Review 7:The location and the stuff were very helpful
Review 8:It was a small negative that there was no WIFI in the room. It worked very well in the cafe though. Also we prefer a proper double bed, not two singles together. Although I am not sure they could have got on up the narrow steep stairs.
Review 9:The location was excellent in the heart of the old town. Our room was down a small side alley which felt secluded. In summer weather the roof terrace with our room must be a real bonus. The small kitchen facilities were a bonus, that had we stayed longer we could have used to prepare simple meals. We liked the cafe where breakfast was laid out. It was simple but satisfying and the staff were very friendly. The decor was very much in keeping with the seaside beach theme.
Review 10:We booked two-bedroom apartment with terrace and sea view. It is nice, comfortable and spacious apartment, tastefully furnished and decorated. Large terrace with seaview on the rooftop is amazing place to relax. We really enjoyed the stay here and would like to come back in the future. We warmly recommend to book the stay here! (Be aware: apartment is not suitable for small children and immobile persons because of steep stairs).
Review 11:There were no sides to the stairs so was a bit of a worry with a 1 year old and a 3 year old. Fine for one night but would be a bit of a nightmare if staying longer as the 1 year old just wants to climb the stairs! Although even if they had sides I wouldn't let 1 year old climb stairs alone. And for 1 night a better option than all of us in 1 room going to bed at 8! Only real criticism was that the shower seemed to be a bit blocked so worried I was going to flood the bathroom. Had to turn it off for a bit whilst in it to let it drain. And parking not near the property (although this isn't an option near the property as no cars allowed)
Review 12:The location was fantastic - right in the historic centre. There was a sea view from the roof terrace. Inside the furnishings were great and the place had a real character to it. The second bedroom was perfect for the kids and we could sit downstairs in the lounge in the evening so as not to disturb them.
Review 13:Beautiful, very romantic and spacious apartment (Carla) located in the heart of old town of Polignano. Very friendly service and nice breakfast. Bit tricky to come by car, but the adventure is worth it! We definitely recommend especially if you wish to experience real Italy!
Review 14:The suite we were allocated was just perfect, tastefully decorated with everything you could wish for and more - we loved every minute of our stay. Thankyou
Review 15:Loved the town! Everyone was friendly and helpful, very quaint and untouched by commercialism( as of 2014). Loved the Rickshaw ride from the train station to the property ( no set fee, donation basis). Appreciated the fact that things weren't overpriced for tourists ( as in the bigger cities), we payed what the locals paid for items. B&B was clean, neat, and charming for the excellent price it was. My two boys (18 & 20) enjoyed diving off the rocks into the ocean at the beach which was a 5 minute walk from the property.
Review 16:No WI-fi in the room, only at the cafe about 100 met. away where you ate breakfast. Parking could be an issue.
Review 17:Delightful, albeit small, room on the main square in the old town. The breakfast, which was taken at a local cafe, was simple but adequate.
Review 18:The internet was a little sketchy but it wasn't a big deal.
Review 19:Great location. Very nice owners.
Review 20:Great location. Well furnished. Spotless. Roomy. Wonderful terrace.
Review 21:Loved the breakfast, at the caffè near by.
Review 22:The room was very comfortable but very unique. The feeling of history everywhere and the beautiful view.
Review 23:The cleanest and most charming place weve ever stayed, great location and lovely people
Review 24:Helpfull staff. Convenient location. Half bottle of wine and savory snacks on arrival was a nice touch.
Review 25:Without Wi-fi.
Review 26:Great experience.
Review 27:Very high price for apartment without WiFi
Review 28:The room was very clean and comfortable
Review 29:The rooms were simply and tastefully decorated making them very welcoming. Location was great
Review 30:the tininess of the room, in particular of the bath: it's almost not usable for People above 1,80m height; micro-location at a main square of the old town in neighborhood to busy n loud night-outs;
Review 31:macro-location in the old town, room is designed up to the details in a happy-holiday-style; breakfast at the terrace of the Café which is related to the rooms
Review 32:Staff could be better on time, given that the reception is not on the same location as the rooms and not always open.
Review 33:Splendid view from the roof top balcony over the old town and the see, the room was rather small but comfortable and very well insulated from heat and noise.
Review 34:Charming decor, converted interior still allowed the history of the building to shine through, quaint and comfortable, all of our needs were catered for, helpful and accommodating hosts who went out of their way to assist us with ongoing travel arrangements. Highly recommended.
Review 35:Nothing!
Review 36:The renovation of old buildings into beautiful apartments tastefullydecorated in harmony with the seaside and beautiful town of polignano amare. Wonderful restaurants warm friendly people and a very happyatmosphere. Thank you Toni and Alberto you are wonderful. ElizabethShenton Park Western Australia
Review 37:Leaving was difficult. I would recommend knowing some Italian or atleast being prepared not to be understood if you only speak English, aplus really, if you interested in authenticity.
Review 38:Dreamlike. The rooms are very old with up to date conveniences. Lots ofdecorations and antiques, but tasteful. You can make breakfast foryourself or you can walk to the cafe. Cooking is fine if you keep itsimple. There are lots of shops both inside and outside of the portawhere you can get Puglian food for lunch and even dinner. Views of thesea basically everywhere. If you are brave, you can drive to all sortsof amazing attractions. Better to grab a book and hang out in town, gofor a walk and grab a bottle of wine and a roast chicken, availableafter 7:30 pm, of course.
Review 39:Our apartment with kitchenette was much bigger and comfortable than we expected. A great surprise was a roof terrace, we used to have an evening tea. Staff was lovely and breakfest nearby was great, with nice view to see. I certainly recomend this, only consider that appartments are in historic building, which means a quite high stair steps.
Review 40:We were met by a haughty teenager who showed us to our room. Everyoneelse was very nice and friendly. The apartment was a bit rough aroundthe edges with worn rickety table and chairs on the terrace. I think 10euro a day was expensive for the car park.
Review 41:Great location in the centre of polignano but down a backstreet so itwas nice and quiet. The room was comfortable and it was nice having aroof terrace.
Review 42:Facility is in the old city, where entry by car is prohibitid, find free parking is difficult. And we had a room without window, not very nice and useful...In town is just small rocky beach, we traveled to Capitolo (18km)
Review 43:helpful staff, breakfast
Review 44:The knob on the shower didn't work and kept falling off. The A/C upstairs really didn't cool things appropriately
Review 45:The location was great, the staff was friendly
Review 46:Perfect location- in the heart of the city and next to the beach. Not far away from train station too. In the city can feel warm and welcoming atmosphere from Italian people. Everything was perfect for us bouth 2x days and 2x nights.
Review 47:I stayed in a room that was located on a piazza which was lit up allnight as bright as day, and there were no curtains to darken the room,so it was difficult to sleep at night. The room had a strange chemicalodor, as if it were newly remodeled. There was wifi available at anearby cafe, but only when the cafe was open, and the hours wereuncertain. Breakfast was served at the cafe, but the hours wereuncertain, so I had to wait until they opened, about 9 am. The showerand sink were not cleaned during my stay.
Review 48:Quaint location in centro storicoquaint cafe with friendly staff for breakfast and wifi use
Review 49:I didn't like anything about Dei Serafini. The office was not manned during the day, had to search around the plaza for someone who could give me a clue as to where to find the staff. Found the brother of the owner who made a phone call and a person showed up. I say a person because although they had the key, they said the owner was out of town and she was just helping out. The room was ice cold, heat was sporadic at best! The key the door didn't work and since there was no one to call, I had to climb in the window, thank god I had left it unlocked. There is absolutely no parking anywhere close, got a ticket while unloading my car. I could go on and on.
Review 50:Not being closer to friends in other apartments.
Review 51:Loved the accommodation and cafe: Great location, comfortable and charming.
Review 52:Check in was slow but friendly
Review 53:Location. Apartment layout. Roof terrace.
