Reviews for Bedouin Garden Village
Review 1:All the sunbeds were broken and tables dusty around pool. Get some new ones!
Review 2:Right across the road from a great beach. Nice views from roof terrace at sundown. You can store cool drinks intheir fridge.
Review 3:- The comfort of the rooms was very bad .. beds are not comfortable and not clean specially pillows .. - The photos shared on bookimg.com are far away from the reality. - The swimming pool is very small, although it shown differently in the photos. - Breakfast was the biggest disappointment we had (if it was served better). - You can totally see the difference between this property and the neighbouring ones, other are much more better.
Review 4:Location might be the only thing that might be good .. Being on the south beach is very far from the city center but opposite one of the public beaches (Cross the road) might be the only thing that is good ..
Review 5:The bathroom door was waaaaay too noisy. And be aware of the curtains, you can see everything inside the room when the lights are on and it´s dark outside.
Review 6:The location in great, very close to the sea (just need to cross the road and you are on the beach). It´s also very close to the shipwreck and the Japanese Garden - one of the best spots to go snorkeling or diving in Aqaba. Breakfast was good, and the food in the restaurant is also great, made by a very nice Egyptian guy, with fare prices. Musa welcomed us the best way possible, with a nice cold hibiscus juice. He also gave us a bigger room than we had booked, with super powerful air condicioning, comfortable bed and a decent amount of TV channels. There´s a little pool to save us from the heat whenever we need, and the enviroment is cool. The diving center working at the hotel has great staff too, and they were kind enough to take us to the nearest beach along with some divers, to show us the best spots for snorkeling. We had a great experience. Thank you all, guys!
Review 7:The breakfast is pretty basic and more on the bearable than on the yummy side. The pool is not really a pool for swimming, but rather for getting wet and/or trying out equipment (for that it is very useful though). Our snorkeling guide (not from the hotel itself, but from the integrated diving center) was friendly but a little bit pushy to move us from one snorkeling site to the next rather quickly; but accomodated our wish to take out time in the end.
Review 8:The location is very nice and the atmosphere really laid back. A great outdoors hangout away from the slickness of the big fancy hotels in Aqaba and the stuffiness of the mid-range ones, and so close to wonderful and openly accessible beach with diving and snorkeling sites. The staff is very friendly and flexible.
Review 9:The owner and manager were both unwelcoming, slow to help, and difficult to deal with. They ruined my solo stay at this hotel. The pool is very small, the rooms are average and the breakfast is average. I wouldn't recommend this place for any longer than one night.
Review 10:Helpful guys in the dive shop. If you have the choice, stay at Bedouin Moon Village over the road - it's much nicer and the British/Jordanian man who works there is really great.
Review 11:The grounds were quite dirty. The tables and chairs around the grounds were pretty gross. Our room was pretty clean however. Also, you need a car to stay here. It's a ways out of town and would be difficult to manage without a car.
Review 12:It's right across the street from the beach. The in-house dive shop is excellent. They were very friendly, professional and helpful. I highly recommend using them to dive. The atmosphere of the hotel is very laid back. Everyone is nice and friendly. There are nice open "tent" areas to hang out in.
Review 13:Sorry, but he breakfast wasn't so good. Not everyone likes greasy omelette and a bit of hummus and jam. Simple is okay, but buffet style would be nicer.
Review 14:We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, close to the beach, beautiful view, friendly staff. We had our first diving experience, the teachers are really great. Room was simple but clean and cool. Wi-Fi didn't work in our room, but we actually did not miss it.
Review 15:Sitting outside in the warm sun, in December, with the Bedouin fabric and furniture makes it a nice atmosphere. Felt more comfortable staying at the hotel and lounging by the pool as a single female rather than going down to the beach.
Review 16:the room was extremely small, the windows were covered and you could not see out of the room, the air condition for heating did not work and the temperature was very low. The breakfast was poor and the the food offered in the restaurant of bad quality and expensive. Wi fi did not work.
Review 17:some of the staff were nice.
Review 18:For a tall person toilet is not enjoyable (no space for legs), no fridge...
Review 19:Nice and helpful stuff, swimming pool... Rooms are small but clean they come with air con and TV
Review 20:Food was bit poor
Review 21:The hotel is 20 min away from the city but right in front of the coral reefs and dive sites. The dive center in the hotel provides great services and new diving equipment. The hotel has lots of space to just hang around. Very pleasant atmosphere.
Review 22:It is far away from any area with a good offer of restaurants and socialising, and the hotel itself does not offer a good alternative. Bbq was not in use and there was no attempt to bring people together.
Review 23:Location is good, as you only need to cross the road to access the sea. It is good to be able to sit around the pool, as the beach is not great apart from the snorkelling opportunities. Staff are friendly.
Review 24:The walls are thin, so you can hear everyone walking or talking around. The swimming pools was a disapointment as it is small and swimming in the sea is not that nice either (unless you are into snorkeling and diving).
Review 25:The property is outside Aqaba, its rush and noise. Staff was very friendly.
Review 26:Housekeeping was "casual" but comfortable; linens needed to be replaced; many feral cats. In-room showers didn't work, although the central shower facilities were ok.
Review 27:Great staff who were very helpful in arranging side-trips for us; great location right across from a scuba and snorkelling reef - with a PADI office on site - but would need a taxi to get anywhere else. Easy to meet other travellers.
Review 28:Breakfast was a but uninspiring, was fed up of eating the same thing by day 4.
Review 29:Lots of nice places to sit and relax Clean pool Friendly atmosphere. Very good value Close to some really nice dive sites (the hotel has a diving desk but diving is actually done with Aqaba Adventure Divers)
Review 30:Food's on the downside. Not particularly good quality and oversized
Review 31:Very nice and cozy environment! Friendly staff and perfect location if one wishes to dive. About 10-15 min drive from Aqaba city. Big and affordable rooms.
Review 32:Small rooms. We were there for four days (three nights) and they never cleaned the room. The electric socket in the rooms did not work and when reported they did not even try to look at it or solve the problem. Breakfast was very much below average in Jordan (1 egg and 2 slices of cucumber and tomato, that's about it) Price-quality not so good.
Review 33:good location, outside the city centre of aqaba, very close to the beach(walking) and the diving spots. The airconditioning (very necessary in the summer) was working fine.
Review 34:Breakfast was basic and portions too small for teenagers. Evening meal likewise not very good value, although the dining area is very pleasant. Diving and snorkelling on the nearby reef was excellent although the beech itself was rocky and somewhat unclean (litter).
Review 35:Beautiful little 'hippy style hotel', Colourful if somewhat basic rooms, but with a number of fabulous 'chill out' areas dotted around filled with cushions for lounging on in the evenings. A small private pool ideal for small children. Friendly helpful staff. Nemo Diving from the adjacent Petra Moon Hotel were extremely helpful and friendly organising dives and equipment for our varied party. We would recommend having a car if staying in this hotel.
Review 36:Layout crowded
Review 37:proximity
Review 38:All good
Review 39:just need to clean
Review 40:the design of the hotel is fantastic we feel like we are in ancient wold then its near the sea with quite and relaxing
Review 41:Friendly staff. Pool is too small. Diving in the Japanese garden was awesome and so cheap. About $40 a person.
Review 42:Cant swim at the swimming pool unless you drop your shirt and become shirtless
Review 43:Location near from beach
Review 44:the breakfast is terrible, very little and served unprofessionally
Review 45:lovely little hotel, very laid back and friendly.
Review 46:Some of the rooms are ok some are less then avarage, breakfast is minimal, food is expensive and not great.
Review 47:Atmosphere, location, dive shop, staff.
Review 48:To get to the beach you have to cross quite busy street :(
Review 49:Room size and cleanness, very helpful and friendly personnel, swimming pool, rest areas
Review 50:The place was tire and in need of updated .
Review 51:Chill out place, people, staff good and friendly.
Review 52:Not much clean
Review 53:Calne place
Review 54:the wi-fi was very spotty, and the rooms lacked some of the advertised amenities
Review 55:the staff are super nice, the diving is great!
Review 56:The bed and the cleannes of the restaurant the
Review 57:the beach near by for snorkeling it s public.. so not that cool if you are a woman in swim suit there
Review 58:bad service bad air conditioning no cleaning ,the wc in very bad condition all most no water
Review 59:location
Review 60:No room cleaning while staying, not even collecting waste. The rooms are old and dirty.
Review 61:There is a good coral reef just in 3 minutes walk.
Review 62:Price, but still it's about as low as it gets in Aqaba
Review 63:Friendly, helpful staff Relaxing atmosphere Great facilities Comfortable room
Review 64:This is a very relaxing little place. The staff really go out of their way to be helpful and make you feel at home.
Review 65:Reluctance to accept credit cards.
Review 66:Ambiance
Review 67:Stuff was very friendly and professional;
Review 68:No mini fridges in rooms Breakfasts menu is very limited
Review 69:Staff Cleanliness. Structure Nice seating areas.
Review 70:not once cleans the place for the 6 days that we have stayed there, very expensive
Review 71:very peacefull, quiet place to relax
Review 72:It is located not on see side Not clean with too much insects
Review 73:the transportation fee here is very high
Review 74:very good environment,i like the hotel.but a question is that i lost my hat there, hope staff can help me find it.
Review 75:Facilities and cleanliness is average at best. Dive centre is not as good as that available across the road. Credit card is not easily accepted.
Review 76:The staff were friendly and attentive.
Review 77:i have enjoyed my stay in here because the treetment was one of the best and reception was very kind. i like it very much hopefully i'll return in my future. and thank you for the service.
Review 78:The rooms were tiny, barely the bed fits in. The bathrooms are also small. The place already shows some wear and tear.
Review 79:We liked that the hotel was just across the road from the beach. It also has an onsite diving center with friendly people. The common areas and garden are nice.
Review 80:Breakfast a bit disappointing (compared to other places is Jordan)
Review 81:excellent value for price. Very cosy place with a certain flair. Small but good dive center. Staff very friendly.
Review 82:The rooms are cozy and clean but not very roomy. The seating area out front is nice though.
Review 83:The overall atmosphere was terrific. Nice communal seating areas, lots of shade, flowery plants climbing all over the place.
Review 84:The room was ok but the promised view on the sea (boasted in the description of the specific room we booked) did not exist, as the sea was in the opposite direction... Dinner was not so good. The swimming pool was quite below the expectations, however it was good enough to have fun for our kid.
Review 85:All the staff was very nice, but in particular the young guy that we had at the reception was amazing. We had run out of milk, and he gave us his private milk... He tried to refuse my tip but I insisted :)
Review 86:Food limited. Public beach not attractive.
Review 87:Great location - away from city, relaxing, laid back, basic but good value for money. Super, easy snorkelling a short wade from beach, beach a 1 min walk from hotel across main road. Laid back staff but friendly, helpful.
Review 88:It is across a busy dual carriageway from the beach. It is not a private beach but a public one. Service could be slow, almost inefficient - can a place be laid back without being inefficient?
Review 89:Location which is out of the city. Very laid back.
Review 90:The public beach is disappointing but seems the same everywhere in jordan very sharp shingley sand
Review 91:Excellent place to chill out! Foods limited choice but tasty and good value compared to rest of Jordan.excellent dive and snorkelling sites. There's a mc Donald's 8km from hotel first roundabout back into Aqaba bonus!!!!!!
Review 92:Staff was at times standoffish Kitchen staff didn't have certain dishes even though they were on the menu Food was very overpriced, can get similar food for 1/4th the price in Aqaba itself Bugs everywhere, mosquitos rampant, no effort made to kill them Some common areas were dirty or unfinished (maybe they're renovating)
Review 93:Atmosphere Staff was talkative and friendly Staff was responsive Close to Beach Food was good Room was clean and functional
Review 94:Owner should spruce up the place as it has a lot of potential. It is a very fair price for the small room but don't go with high expectations. Relax. It is a fair distance from Aqaba town.
Review 95:Great value for the money. We went to Aqaba area for snorkeling. This is the best casual location for this goal. Equipment available to rent there. Easy to get staff to make you coffee or food. Friendly helpful manager.
Review 96:The rooms are very simple in their Bedouin style (with simple shower stall) -- but they are functional. Even without real hot water (it was tepid), I loved my stay at the hotel -- so no real complaints.
Review 97:I really loved my stay at the Bedouin Gardens. It is a very relaxing and easy-going place, and across the highway from a spectacular beach with a beautiful coral reef. It is a perfect place for relaxing on the beach and snorkelers/divers, or for those people who just want to relax in a Bedouin environment (I loved the sitting areas with its desert-tent atmosphere). It was one of the highlights of a long journey, and I hope to return. The informal mid-eastern food, too, was really good, and the kitchen staff, housekeeping, and reception all very friendly. You can't beat the price! There are several hotels in that south beach area of Aqaba, but I lucked out. I was glad I chose your hotel. Thank you.
Review 98:Not enough tasty supper (fish was not fresh), small rooms, problems with canalization, poor breakfast.
Review 99:Interesting atmosphere, glass boat excursions at the lobby, parking, very good place for snorkeling nearby, good places for relax with shisha.
Review 100:nothing really, it's not a 5 star hotel and you should not expect that. It's 14 km from Aqaba (with the nearest supermarket), we had a rental car, because of that it was no problem, otherwise you depend on taxis. Advise: If you want to drink beer or wine in the evening, bring it yourself (there is a fridge)
Review 101:friendly staff, excellent location because the sea with coral reef is just on the other side of the road, good place to chill, laid back atmosphere and a good place to meet other people.
Review 102:I didn't like the food in the restaurant at all - unimaginative, and poor value for money.Unfortunately, the other hotels in the vicinity were closed, so there was no choice, unless one was prepared to take an expensive taxi-ride into Acuba and back. What a pity that Jordan hasn't as yet got to grips with the notion of 'public transport' - buses are almost non-existent, so, being a solo traveller is pretty expensive.
Review 103:The location was amazing if you want to mainly dive or snorkel - just across the road from the beach where the reef is. The staff were cheery, but the whole operation was held together by Roni, the Bangladeshi general manager. I also liked the cats! One of them is so adorable, I wanted to smuggle him away in my suitcase. I'll have to go back just to see him again!
Review 104:should have more vegetarian food on the menue
Review 105:very nice and helpful staff. very clean and relaxing place to stay. the beach is a minute walk away and the snorkelling was great.
Review 106:The hotel is located about 11 km outside of Aqaba itself, so getting in and out can be a hassle. Also, the free breakfast is pretty meager, although there is unlimited coffee and tea.
Review 107:The hotel is right across the street from a public beach, which is nice -- just be aware of cultural norms regarding clothing in Jordan. The hotel was very laid back and accommodating to foreigners.
Review 108:It is not close to any star rating :) not perfectly clean and staff speaks only fair level of english. the most disappointing is the food served in hotel - expensive (overpriced) and not at all impressive. It is worth taking a taxi to town to get some food for dinner and some lunch snacks for the day after :) A TIP: one kilometre south on the beach (walkable distance) there is a luxurious resort of "Tala Bay", where you can find a supermarket - the closest to the hotel.
Review 109:It is "authentic": premises are full of greenery, bedouin crafts and cosy lounge spaces. the hotel is far from crowds of tourists and in front of perfect snorkelling beach. Very comfortable huge beds. A taxi can take you to Aqaba for 4-6 JD one way, also there seems to be a regular minibus service to town.
Review 110:I asked the staff about a connecting bus towards Dana. And I was told that I needed to take a taxi at 10.30 to catch the bus at 11/11.30. The taxi arrived at the hotel at 11.20 and was at the busstop at 11.35. However, had I been there on time it wouldn't have helped as the only bus left at around 8 in the morning. My travelplans therefore had to be changed due to this bad information.
Review 111:Place was too expensive for single traveller. They took extra money ofeverything without telling the price before leaving. Wi-fi isn'tfree and didn't work well. There isn't any gym. Just 3 kiloweights and one broken machine. Gym was the reason why I booked thatplace. Taxi drivers took lots of money of trip from hotel toaqaba/airport. No cleaning between days.
Review 112:For child families who just want sit there and do nothing.
Review 113:Receptionist is not very welcoming. The hotel looks dirty. Pool hasn't been cleaned for days or weeks. Public beach is full of weird guys staring at Westerners. People will harass you to sell you something. Annoying.
Review 114:Diving club. Close to the public beach. Open space concept. Breakfast. Room was ok. Beds were clean.
Review 115:There is a cat that walks around the dining area and even jumps on the plates. I found that very annoying. There is no public transport to get to the hotel. So unless you rent a taxi or self-drive in a rented car there is no way you can get to the hotel.
Review 116:It is very convenient for snorkelling and scuba diving. Inside the hotel there is a centre allowing the residents to book snorkelling equipment and scuba diving trips. The hotel is great value of money. The hotel staff is very welcoming.
Review 117:some of the staff members were over familiar bordering on pestering, breakfast was the same over seven days, restaurant menu very limited (chips with everything)
Review 118:I did not like the way the owners treated the staff, they were very demeaning and always yelling at the staff.
Review 119:The staff, especially the manager, was FANTASTIC. Easy to become dive-certified here! Coral reefs right off the beach. Easy to get back and forth from town.
Review 120:Worn furniture, hardly lukewarm water, price somewhat hugh compared to other similar places in Jordan.
Review 121:Friendliness of the staff, coral reefs just on the beach (however, you have to cross a highway).
Review 122:Diner is not included in the price is15 JD pp. which is more as the price we payed in the best restaurant of our trip. You stay in the middle of the dessert so you have take this dinner.
Review 123:The area, tents, tour, and fire.
Review 124:The hotel seems to me it has never maintained. The photos in booking.com have to be updated. Besides, the reception charged me for the items I did not buy such as 1 ice cream, and 1 fish (total 10 Dinar). Even they gave me the receipt upon my insistence.
Review 125:I liked concept of the hotel
Review 126:One of the staff members (maybe the son of the owner) was a bit creepy and kept asking me why another woman stay at the hotel wasn't interested in him. And he wouldn't leave me alone though I was not involved other then I had went to dinner with her once. It was a bit uncomfortable because of that.
Review 127:the dive shop and the pool was great. Great snorkeling just across the street!
Review 128:A bit expensive for a very small room; No signature is required when you order food and beverages so you'd better check the final amount! (our bill has been significantly increased)...
Review 129:Nice location for snorkelling
Review 130:The beaches across the highway aren't near ideal for western women.Probably a little bit expensive for what you get, although not much.
Review 131:Contrary to a number of reviews it was quite clean, and the staff wasfriendly and helpful. Everything was quite simple, as you'd expectfor this price, but overall very pleasant place to stay.
Review 132:One of the staff members was very rude - we accidentally broke a shisha and he made us clean it up! In the morning we waited 1/2 an hour for breakfast - there was nobody around. Finally we found the same grumpy guy and he told us he wanted to have his shower before giving us breakfast! This made us very late for our timetable and we missed a tour in Humayma...
Review 133:The location is great and the place is very relaxing and chilled out. The deco is also nice.
Review 134:- nobody warned us that is inappropriate for women to wear bikinis on the beach; - a poor breakfast
Review 135:- staff in charge of diving; - relaxing atmosphere
Review 136:The price was much more than prices for neighboring hotels. The pool was shabby. The rooms were a bit shabby.
Review 137:The location was great. The hotel has rooms to hang out in.
