Reviews for Jupiters Hotel & Casino

Review 1:The rooms were really tired and dated. There were not enough staff at the reception for checking in or checking out. Staff appeared stressed and unhappy. Not sure why the hotel management did not roster more staff. Also found it astounding that in peak holiday season a restaurant like Zen would be closed on a Monday night.

Review 2:The Japanese restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was sensational and the service of restaurant staff very attentive and appropriate.

Review 3:Pool area over crowded, gaming area too casual, bed not supportive, check in not friendly,

Review 4:Well priced, private, well sized room, Japanese restaurant first class in every way.

Review 5:no bad experience, but stayed in a very tired room, not worth the 5*rating but I know the rooms are to be refurbished. About time!

Review 6:location, staff, rewards system, discounts,

Review 7:Rooms STILL unrenovated!! Monorail not running - again!

Review 8:Garden restaurant for breakfast was lovely, but the lunch and dinner menus were uninspiring, so we ate elsewhere.

Review 9:No information in the room about anything...no compendium.no monorail running , so a long walk to everywhere or costly taxi. For the cost of room, free wifi should be included

Review 10:Friendly, pleasant staff

Review 11:I was told that my deposit of $30 will be refunded in 3 days. We checked out on the 30th but the money is still not in my account....not good in this respect.

Review 12:Facilities closing early ( pool & gym ). No Foxtel. No balcony. The games room was closed down. The clothes store was closed down. That if you are staying at Jupiters, you should be included in the priority line for Food fantasy (the queues were ridiculous, but the food was great, although pricey) We stayed for 3 nights and couldn't wait to go across the road to Meriton Apartments for 5 nights, which was amazing and really caters for families and has luxury apartments with views to die for:):):) Jupiters need a revamp on all their rooms. They are run down and the Decor is 80's style. We wished we had stayed at Meriton those 3 nights, we spent at Jupiters. The kids didn't like it.

Review 13:Food Fantasy and the swimming pool. Helpful staff, they were lovely. Thank-you :)

Review 14:I have stayed many times at this hotel, however, this time round, the standard was very poor, droped dramatically over the last 4 years since I was there. Rooms were cleaned till very late in the afternoon. very expensive, overall, re food wise.

Review 15:I always loved to stay at the hotel Good location,

Review 16:The hotel lost our Booking.com reservation which was made 9 monthsearlier. It took them an hour to clear things up and then they triedto charge us double the booking rate. I would not recommend thishotel to anyone

Review 17:Free parking and proximity to the casino

Review 18:The hotel is old, no value for money. Also the computer "makes mistekes" overcharging the total bill... The management need to be more better.

Review 19:Didn't like twin double beds instead of 1 king bed & was disappointed only a few rooms had balcony's.

Review 20:I liked the free parking. Pool area is lovely & bar food ok, could be more on menu though.

Review 21:We had originally booked for 3 nights for $800 and we changed the number of nights from 3 to 1 and we got charged over $400 for a single night (within the free cancellation period)

Review 22:Great buffer breakfast and dinner Clean hotel and it's obvious it has been recently renovated

Review 23:Customer service slow, rude and not helpful. Aircon didn't work correctly. Front door was extremely hard to open u had to use your shoulder and body weight to open. You can't buzz people up cause u need a fob to use the lifts.!

Review 24:Clean rooms

Review 25:The TV didn't work, the air conditioning wouldn't go below 24 degrees despite reporting it, and it was very hot and humid! Nice pool area but way too small for a hotel with 600 rooms! An adults only pool would have been perfect!

Review 26:Lovely comfortable beds, newly renovated rooms, nice staff. Quite a few restaurants and bars to choose from. Very convenient if you're there for a show.

Review 27:in the pool where the sign says no diving the children would dive in around you from the pool with the fountain you need to put some kind of railing to stop them because it is dangerous. but still enjoyed the pool area

Review 28:we had a restful stay and enjoyed the xmas day lunch in the food fantasy

Review 29:Gouging 2% for Visa/MasterCard AND 3% AMEX - WELL I PAID CASH so that's less money they lifted from me in the casino

Review 30:Typical Casino Hotel. Loved the pool and great F&B service poolside.

Review 31:The view of the room is not really good. The view from my window room is the roof of another bulding in the hotel.

Review 32:I need to request an early check-in and the hotel staff made it available for me.

Review 33:No balconies. Seemed very tired....old style bathroom, pricey for what we got compared to recent stays in Brisbane hotels.

Review 34:Location was good.....had ocean view unfortunately couldn't sit on balcony to watch it and have a drink.

Review 35:The Renovations above our room commenced before 7am and the alarm clock went off at 3.40 am this should be checked by cleaning staff Fantasy Breakfast Buffet was average for the price too

Review 36:Bed was comfortable but would have preferred a King instead of two doubles

Review 37:Shocking noise starting before 7AM exactly above us from the renovations - I know they have to do it but seriously put us in a room not directly below it - the hotel was not very busy

Review 38:Great position , nice room, great breakfast

Review 39:From our room you could hear the bar noise until early hours (Wouldn't have mattered but we had an early flight and even earlier limo pick up) The pool bar wasn't open at the time of our stay but In room dining were able to assist

Review 40:The pool facility was perfect. The restaurants looked lovely and food was delicious. The atmosphere was alive, staff friendly and accomodating.

Review 41:It would hard to find any thing to complain about...

Review 42:Central location and your casino was most enjoyable, and the restaurant Facilities are first class ,,your staff are most professional thank you

Review 43:lot of renovation been done put was not mentioned before I booked it. The walls are paper thin. You can hear people talking in hallways. Very disappointing when you trying to sleep at 3am

Review 44:Great location

Review 45:The only feedback i have in a negative sense which is hopefully helpful is that while our room was clean and the beds were made lovely, it felt like it needed a bit of a spring clean (doors wiped down, grubby finger marks on cabinetry etc). but nothing major, it just made the room feel a bit tired. The only other awkward thing is not having access to the carpark directly from the hotel, you have to cross the foyer to another lift. These weren't major detractors though and we will definitely be booking in again.

Review 46:The staff were absolutley brilliant, we felt welcomed at every turn, they were more than accomodating, always going above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. From the pool bar staff to reception and even housekeeping we chatted to in the hallways everyone worked together to make our experience wonderful. We loved the location with free parking, we didn't use the car at all for the 3 days we were there, catching the tram to southport and surfers paradise and exploring cafes etc. The pool was very relaxing and perfect for young families as it is shallow but would have been great to have a deeper pool as well.

Review 47:The Concierge was extremely rude. My husband was parked out the front temporary until i checked in as he wasn't sure if payment was required for parking. The Concierge approached him in a rude manner and told him he couldn't park there. He advised him i would just be a moment to check in, and he told the Concierge that if parking wasn't permitted that there should be a sign as plenty of others were in the front bay dropping off passengers etc. He then swore and drove another customers vehicle on the outside of ours blocking us in so we couldn't get out and he refused to move it, even after we asked him after i was back in the vehicle he just ignored us. Luckily we were toward the front near the machinery so one of the contractors noticed the issue and moved traffic cones so could get out. We were extremely disappointed by his rude attitude, especially for what we expected to be a 5 star rated hotel. Very disappointing, i doubt we will come back.

Review 48:We stayed here while there was renovations happening, although it was noisy during the day, we werent in the room to really bother us to much, and we were alerted to the renovations that were being done. I did find it a little outdated but that should be soughted once renovations are complete.

Review 49:The price of the new release movies was a little excessive. There was no balcony for smoking or a smoking balcony on our floor. We had to go downstairs to smoke. That we didn't stay longer lol

Review 50:Loved the linen the king size bed the new release movies and the room service. The gentleman who brought up our bags was extremely helpful and very friendly and professional. (He was my favourite staff member)

Review 51:There was no hair dryer in room and they said there was

Review 52:location of holiday was very good, The room was comfortable the bed was excellant and the food was good.

Review 53:My only comment would be if possible do not put single Australian women on the same floor as the people from china, they are very loud and rude- no respect for women.

Review 54:Being a single traveller I found the staff, restaurants, bar lounge even the casino very inviting and not frightening or lonely for singles, I will return just loved it.

Review 55:For the expensive cost per two nights we were disappointed at being woke early and throughout with hammering and drills I think the tar rif should have been more reasonable whilst building interuptions

Review 56:Room service

Review 57:There was no reference on the website that the hotel was undergoing a major reconstruction. The rooms where not cleaned very well and for the price we paid we did bot get a luxurious retreat as described.

Review 58:The location was great. Everything was in walking distance to Broadbeach.

Review 59:The purpose of our stay was to attend The Beach Boys concert & the theatre that it was held in was amazing. Also to just be able to walk up to our room after the show was great. We would definitely stay here again.

Review 60:There were not enough bar/lounge areas inside the hotel to relax. As a guest, you are competing for space with the visitors to the Casino.

Review 61:Loved the views across to Surfers Paradise, the waterways, Broadbeach and the beach. The room was large, the bed was super comfy and the staff were delightful.

Review 62:TV could barely be heard and could not be turned up. We could hardly hear one word of what was being said. I thought a breakfast deal could have been included as we were to see The Beach Boys ..one night only.

Review 63:Clean and tidy and close to shops

Review 64:1. Rude concierge on arrival - would not let us park and check in. 2. Dirty bath and dust on bench. 3. Staff not very friendly when checking in. 4. 3 room keys had to be replaced. 5. TV faulty and could not be fixed watching DVD which went dark (unless they phoned Thailand!). 6. Construction noise starting at 7.00am with piercing noise sound.

Review 65:The show "Laugh Your Pants Off".

Review 66:Room wasn't ready by 2.00 pm check in. Was told by booking.com could have upgrade for $50.00 was charged $90.00 extra

Review 67:Nearly everything was perfect

Review 68:The rooms are very tired and in need of modernization. Every morning around 7 am you could here the banging and drilling of workmen in the hotel. So much for a short restful break. Very disappointed

Review 69:Well located hotel with good inhouse facilities

Review 70:We booked early and still they gave us a room right above all the building noise - not so happy with that. Rooms are noisy - you can hear the people next door. Check In staff didn't tell us about getting a casino card to get discounts and we didn't find out until our last day

Review 71:Location Activities on site Pool area

Review 72:The place looked tired. The catering was not a good standard. Restaurant hours were shocking. Cheap cafe in pokies area only thing open after 9pm. Came out of the show at 10.20pm and nothing open. Bite cafe cheap choices and choices poor. Catering let the place down.

Review 73:Staff friendly. Room good. Show excellent. Position excellent.

Review 74:We were only there overnight but it was a fantastic short break. We arrived in the afternoon, had a wander around the complex and decided on dinner at the Japanese restaurant. What a good call! Great meal with professional, friendly service. We saw an awesome show, had a post show cocktail, had a good sleep and didn't have to leave the building!

Review 75:The room was a bit tired, but the hotel is undergoing a major renovation, so that should not be an isdue soon.

Review 76:We dined at the new Kiyomi Japanese restaurant, it was excellent - easily the best Japanese food we have ever had.

Review 77:my first room had a shower over the bath which was difficult for me, but as soon as I notified reception I was changed to a more suitable room

Review 78:the location was excellent for me, closer to shops and restaurants

Review 79:The cleaning staff where not as efficient as in past stays. Dirty cleaning cloth left one day, another day a pair of pillow cases down the back of my suitcase.

Review 80:The new pool area is fantastic and room refurbishment something to look forward to. The restaurants are all an enjoyable experience

Review 81:Um the bar fridge wasn't clean juice bit dusty but still was happy overall my room was a cancellation...

Review 82:The safety of security and a safe enviroment..great 24hrs

Review 83:Will be nice when the rooms & bathrooms are renovated.

Review 84:Ease of valet parking, friendly staff and very relaxing. Rose, from Housekeeping was excellent.

Review 85:The lounge/bar area smelt awlful, like the carpets needed cleaning. Almost a uriney smell. Our room was serviced each day but rubbish was left behind. There was loud music 2 nights which we found annoying in our rooms. We were surprise to be able to hear it.

Review 86:The food was lovely and our breakfasts were amazing!! The bed was comfortable. There was a man at reception that was really nice to us.

Review 87:No toothbrush, no slipper, I did not place the card on the bed for bedding change does not mean I agree the way you encourage environmentally friendly. I thought I went to the wrong hotel. You room price is not consistent with the facility and service. I don't see your price is environmentally friendly. Movie is not free. Room service is too early. Checkout time is not reasonable either. No soundproof, I can hear noise from next door all the night. Food from Room dining is not fresh.

Review 88:Guest's name is shown on TV screen.

Review 89:Rock hammer noises were heard directly above our room at 07:00am. Extremely disrespectful.

Review 90:The stay at this resort was due to the fact that one of the shows we've been dying to see was held there and we live several hours away.

Review 91:Although there was signage that there is work going on at the resort and we may encounter some noise from 7am - 7pm . At no point did Booking .com let us know that otherwise I would have booked somewhere else to have stayed. It was most unpleasant. We were woken at 7am with jackhammers and drills sounding ....

Review 92:Rockwizz show was nice entertainment. pool was nice, facilities were clean.

Review 93:The noise of renovations started shortly after 6 am instead of 7 am. Try to have a rest at lunch time but the noise of the renovations was too loud. Left very tired.

Review 94:Very convenient stay and nice room with view as I attended a conference in the building

Review 95:the construction noise was just unbearable . It started at 7 AM in the morning . They should not sell the room if it was going to be that bad

Review 96:staff was friendly

Review 97:Check out was very slow, there weren't enough people on. Otherwise great stay

Review 98:Everything was very comfortable and service was really efficient from room service and check in.

Review 99:getting there thinking the booking had been paid for with card no given to Bookings.com only to find that was not the case....... only been secured and it was a work booking on a card I didn't have great !!! never again

Review 100:The older check-in staff were rude, hard to understand and frankly couldn't have given a rats. While I appreciate they are upgrading, but ramping up jack hammers at 7am on Saturday morning was a bit rich. Big conferences and events in and around Jupiters that weekend. If I was aware that the upgrading was happening I would have spent somewhere else. Even when completed I doubt I would ever stay there again.

Review 101:Room Service staff were nice.

Review 102:The noise was unacceptable for the price we paid. We could here noise from the rooms next door. Building works, being three men on jackhammers starts at 7am Saturday and Sunday mornings. With such a skeleton staff surely the weekends could be spared of such loud work There is no free internet in the rooms which these days I expect as basic standard. The cost of having internet were exorbitant.. The sheets were pilled. We were questioned by bouncers at the door to the motel on our return from dinner in regards to our sobriety and were told to go straight to our room. My husband and I were by now means 'under the weather'.. We will not stay here again.

Review 103:Staff at the front desk and concierge were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Review 104:The noise from there renovations 7am to 7 pm is ridiculous had I know about the noise I would not of stayed there it wasn't till we checked in that we where told about the noise disruption when I book there was nothing telling me about noise disruptions

Review 105:The staff at reception were unpleasant on all occasions when requiring their assistance. It was very obvious that they were very disinterested in you as a person and customer.

Review 106:All staff other than staff at the hotel's reception were lovely. The pool area was beautiful

Review 107:Why are there no spare pillows in the wardrobe there always has been in the past we really missed them!

Review 108:We love that it is a one stop place once you have arrived everything is there!

Review 109:We are very disappointed that we could not watch any golf you don't seem to have the golf channel endless footy and soccer no golf!!!

Review 110:We stay at Jupiters a lot and like the location very central to what we like to do we enjoy the atmosphere.

Review 111:The location is a little inconvenient, you have to walk to the tram and than catch that to get to the centre.

Review 112:The view was amazing, the room was spectacular and we even got an upgrade for a muck around with reservations.

Review 113:The noise of refurbishing was hurrendous. Drilling construction etc. I paid nearly 1,000 to be there 4 nights. Adjoining room was like the people in there were with me. Very few treadmills and equipment worked in the gym

Review 114:The new pool area

Review 115:Spinners had to wait 1 hour for evening meal. The taking $100 for my account which at the present time has not been refunded to my account.

Review 116:Friendly and helpful staff

Review 117:I am used to Star City in Sydney, this is much smaller and not as ritzy as the Sydney casino. Could do with a revamp and I see renovations are in process. Interesting to see when they are completed.

Review 118:Decor. Design of room. Reception staff helpful with some issues at check in. Concierge friendly. Room service staff friendly Location was excellent. Very comfortable and booked accommodation at a great price.

Review 119:Views from our room (north) not spectacular for a cityscape...but that's the way it goes!!

Review 120:Loved the discounted rate special....such luxury to stay 5star for my daughter's birthday. Thank you

Review 121:Restaurants were a tad over priced - in particular the buffet , but still a great variety of food , my partner and I definitely didn't leave on an empty stomach. And the room we were in wasn't very sound proof.. We could hear the people next door and even people walking down the corridor outside.

Review 122:We loved the room (studio type) - it was the perfect size for a two night stay. And we did have a cleaner come in the first night without even asking - just making the bed , replacing towels and emptying bins. I really appreciated that. And no complaints about the bed - it was very comfy and soft. My partner and I also really appreciated the complimentary wifi offered. Thankyou for having us , Jupiters.

Review 123:That you can't book in earlier

Review 124:The location is fantastic so close to theme parks. You have so many restaurants to choose from either at the casino or short walk/ monorail to oasis or ossification fair. We met up with more family members staying close by.

Review 125:facilities a bit old. hotel renovation during the day made it a bit noisy

Review 126:very convenient location next to pacific fair shopping centre and public transport and a range of restaurants

Review 127:One particular staff member went out of their way to help us. We had two separate bookings and to make it easier she kept us in the same room so we didn't have to check in or out!

Review 128:Aircon was faulty but repaired it the next day. We were prepared for a bit of noise as there is construction! Reception staff could be more friendly, as you are frontline! I asked if we were in a lovely room as it was my Birthday well we overlooked the construction site :(

Review 129:Location is good. Trip on the mono rail was free!

Review 130:Well after we complained about the excessive start of the trafies in the above room staryed at 4 am using hammer drills and grinders. On my gfs 21st bday. We were offered a breakfast and $50 in casino money.

Review 131:Location was great for all our purposes during our stay, as we attended Dracula's which was within walking distance. Pacific Fair, again within walking distance.

Review 132:Room was extremely run down, scuff marks all over the walls, mould in the bathroom. I know it was in a casino but there was no sound proofing what so ever in the halls, you could hear all the drunken people carrying on outside not to mention you could hear when next door was having a shower or flushing the toilet. Very disappointing for my first visit.

Review 133:Overall staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Good location. Good restaurants.

Review 134:No free Wi Fi. Or free internet connection. The jack hammer removing the tiles of the wall next door, while trying to have a rest in the afternoon.

Review 135:Great views. Very comfortable.

Review 136:so much more than a pleasant hotel room spent a lot of time just exploring bars and eateries ,use the undercover walkway to go down to Broadbeach and avoid the construction work being carried out. Probably not a lot to do for small children..as casino is off bounds

Review 137:We found our room to be quite dated, the bed not comfortable, and there was only a view of buildings from our window.

Review 138:When love the 24 hour Night life, live music, friendliness and staff's willingness to please.
