Review 1：I do have some critical comments however, most of which beat in mind that this is a 5 star facility with charges approx € 500 / night for a regular room (we previously stayed in the Masseria Torremossa and gave it a very high rating, even though the Torre Maizza is obviously much more refined): First, the air condition was quite noisy and not up to the task of cooling down the room temperature to a convenient level which caused us at least one sleepless night. Second, the food at the pool bar was quite mediocre (tuna salad consists of canned tuna and corn on unmarinated salad; club sandwich is saggy with raw bacon and without any side dishes - however all at Eden Roc prices; no warm food after 2 p.m. which would actually be the time people would like to start having lunch). Third, the gym was approx. 1 km away in a sister hotel and none of the equipment was up to standard. Some other minor drawbacks are missing reading lamp in the room (you can only read with full lighting which makes it impossible for the other person to sleep), tiny TV and early closing hours of bar and restaurant.

Review 2：The property is wonderful. The buildings have been perfectly restored and the gardens including the golf course are fantastc. The pool area is generous, very peaceful and the pool is huge. The rooms are spacious, each with an en suite terrace. We would have expected that the toilet is separate from the bathroom.

Review 6：The staff are all fabulous. Lovely and cheery and always at hand to help with any query. We came back to our room on the evening of my birthday to find a bottle of bubbly for us, which was very touching.

Review 9：Good quality accommodation and restaurant. We played golf on the hotel par 3 and at the nearby San Domenico course. Used the hotel pool and the beach club. All very quiet and peaceful.

Review 10：The room had no door to a terrace/balcony you had to go thru the bathroom so room felt very oppressive, the dark nave decor was too oppressive for the country farmhouse type of place needs a softer look.

Review 25：Beautiful five star hotel with an excellent restaurant, pool and beach access. Also has a golf course for those who play. Room was very large with barrel vault cieling, limestone floors and a gorgeous bathroom.

Review 26：Rural, peaceful, with the Italian style! Not much that we didn't like. It costs.....but then if it lovely, it is worth it. The rooms were large and cool, I loved the little garden attached, simple but oh so private, the choice at breakfast was fantastic, everything of the best quality. There were also lots of extra touches, like a gift of the Metserias own olive oil to take home at the end of our stay. Fabulous, I couldn't recommend it more...........

Review 27：I am sorry but the food in the restaurant was not to our taste and this was particularly dissappointing as we had booked our visit on the basis of an article we had read in the Saturday Telegraph Colour magazine which simply raved about the quality of the food and the hotels policy of growing their own produce and sourcing only the best local ingredients. Well I suppose they may do but they ruin them in the kitchen. Whatever happened to Italian food - you know a handful of fresh ingredients not over complicated and producing delicious results. But that's modern chefs for you, they think they can do better. We ate dinner three times and lunch twice so I reckon we gave them a fair crack of the whip. Don't let this put you off going though, they may get better at it and we found you can eat well in the local restaurants

Review 28：The hotel is stunning. Lovely room, we were in a junior suite, at night the buildings and grounds are beatifully light, paticularly the pool area. The service is excellent, we arrived late in the evening and were greeted in the carpark by a friendly and helpful member of staff ready with a trolley for our luggage

Review 34：It W. The staff were very obliging without being "in your face" and thebeach club was a great bonus. We thought the standard of the food waspatchy and overpriced. The provision of free bikes was great althoughthey are seriously in need of some proper maintenance to tyres, gears,and brakes. I put all of this in my feed back form to the management. Wewill definitely go there again.
