Reviews for Vanna Hill Resort

Review 1:I am not complaining but there was some construction work going on around the hotel restaurant. Well!! I suppose all future guests will enjoy the refurbished restaurant area

Review 2:the hotel was very reasonably priced at $35 dollars a night. Rooms were clean and service was bit slow but very courteous. Room had great view of ocean. The hotel is walking distance to most of the restaurant. I would stay again if in Kep

Review 3:some things beginning to look a bit tatty, pool-side sun-umbrellas and plants needed replacement/ rejuvenation. Tea making facilities in room available, but lacking tea-bags, coffee sachets. Could do with bigger waste bins in the room and also a warning that the hot water in the shower can be scorching hot if you get the adjustment wrong!

Review 4:Beautiful surroundings, felt close to nature, peace and quiet. Staff were helpful and generally did an efficient job of looking after us.

Review 5:Can,t think of anything

Review 6:In hills twenty minute walk downhill to town but two minutes to national park walks. Lovely views, staff delightful, beautiful bar restaurant. Super pool perfect for a relaxing break in a peaceful location

Review 7:breakfast was limited - it would be good to propose fresh juice, but nice to have the egg cooking in front of you

Review 8:The swimming-pool Calm In the nature Staff

Review 9:The drains sometimes smelled. Powercuts.

Review 10:This hotel was perfect for our needs. It is not a chain hotel, it is not themed. The garden has character, the paths are not perfect. There appeared to be no western day to day control.

Review 11:The room could have been a bit more spacious, the bathroom a bit more up to date, but I'm nitpicking.

Review 12:Well, as you might guess from the title, we really enjoyed the swimming pool! We also like the bungalow structure of the hotel and the beautiful garden surrounding it. Good breakfast too.

Review 13:A little far from the crab market and other restraunt and shops. The resort does not accept credit cards

Review 14:The pool was good and the food in the restraunt was reasonably priced and good. The resort is close to the national park and is well suited for walking

Review 15:Hot water supply to shower had to be repaired on arrival, no hot water to basin at all, so maintenance is questionable. The facilities in general, excepting the pool, are a little tired although overall we enjoyed our stay.

Review 16:Location, resort layout, pool and staff were excellent.

Review 17:I knew Vanna before it changed its management. It has changed recently and there is currently no pool (it is empty) and the place is falling apart. We had to change rooms 4 times before they found one with all facilities working (one with broken toilet, 1 with no electricity, 2 with broken AC). Price have gone up and services down. A real pity since it is otherwise a Paradise and has the potential to be so much more than that...

Review 18:Garden, location, view

Review 19:The pool was brilliant. View from the balcony of our bungalow was the best!

Review 20:Very friendly staff

Review 21:Pool and sea view

Review 22:Great pool, great location, friendly and helpful staff, nice garden, good bungalows

Review 23:I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool was wonderful and the food was top quality!

Review 24:Very nice view. Big pool. Friendly staff.

Review 25:Bed too small Fan didnt rotate No baby cot available Averaqe breakfasts

Review 26:The pool The location WiFi

Review 27:Lack of swimming pool towels,

Review 28:The Staff, the room, the gardens, the pool, location

Review 29:no mosquito net A bit far from the center

Review 30:Beautiful swimming pool with great view Very good breakfast

Review 31:Staff couldn't arrange a second night's stay for us in the same room, but offered us a cheaper, more basic room instead.

Review 32:Great room (bungalow), lovely pool and nice restaurant.

Review 33:The air con in the room did not work and was noisy, the weather was good so it was not a big problem

Review 34:The location was good, 800m from the crab market and it was quiet. The pool and surrounds were nice. Breakfast was a buffet and had a reasonable range of choices

Review 35:Not a big choice for breakfast. A bit indifferenet boy at the reception- he shows absolutely lack of interest neither to you nor to anything else - but we stayed there just one night- it was no problem to us.

Review 36:The location of the hotel and beautiful views from our terrace - this is what we loved most of all. But on the whole the hotel is good and in case I'm in Kep again I would gladly stay in this hotel again. Good value for this money.

Review 37:Location overlooking the bay, tucked in to the edge of the kep nationalpark, staff friendly, pool good, breakfast good, strong shower inroom, relaxing atmosphere, walking distance to local restaurants andbars, would happily stay again.

Review 38:Lovely location, about a 10min walk from the crab market and with great views over the bay. Spacious, clean rooms. Generous buffet breakfast. Big pool, long enough for a nice swim.

Review 39:this resort is run down, needs an upgrade, atmosphere is not great, in contrast to neighbor Raingsey bungalows

Review 40:nice swimming pool, nice view, fair price

Review 41:Our hot water didn't work but they fixed that immediately.

Review 42:It is a great little resort on top of a hill, quiet, with pleasant staff and well kept facilities. You are out of the way from everything but it has a nice restaurant so you don't need to go anywhere really.

Review 43:Some may not like the 800m walk up the hill from the market, water front. Some tuk tuks can't get more than 1 person up the hill.

Review 44:The view from the pool and villas. National park walk less than 400m away. Go to the LedZep café to get a map of runs and walks in the park.

Review 45:Ants around poolside seating and inside accommodation; uneven flooring in restaurant and some steps a little dangerous and hard on the feet; unsealed, rutted road access difficult so a very bumpy ride off the main road by tuktuk.

Review 46:A relaxing, peaceful location with great sea and jungle views; courteous, helpful staff; excellent food and value for money; management very helpful and genuinely ready to please. Scored a great special thru Booking.com so stayed longer.

Review 47:We stayed in a standard double room, the price is ok but the rooms havetired over the years, they are very dark and the shower was terrible.Theother rooms look new and perhaps inside is nicer. The buffet breakfastwas poor quality and not much variety, if you want to have food makesure you go at 7am, every morning we went at 9am and most of the foodwas gone and they did not re fill. We ended up going across the road toVeranda to have their delicious Pastries and fresh juices

Review 48:View , Location, surrounding jungle and swimming pool are great.

Review 49:The food is excellent, especially the Amok and prown curry. The pool is great and perfect to relax. Great position at 10 min walk from the crab market ADN very cose to the natural park entrance

Review 50:The room was fairly basic and the bathroom incredibly basic. We wereupgraded to a superior so I am not sure what our standard roomwould've been like. No tv in the room and the hotel was pretty quietwhen we were here so not much to do after 10pm. Breakfast was alsofairly basic with not many options. Food not all covered so beware offlies as restaurant is outdoors. If you are looking for budget optionfor a relaxing place with pool then this would be fine for you.

Review 51:The pool was large and refreshing though slightly warm. Staff werefriendly, especially one young guy in the restaurant. Their amok disheswere delicious.

Review 52:No real complaints. Anything we mentioned as needing attention wasattended to promptly, politely, and unobtrusively.

Review 53:Deluxe poolside room, very reasonably priced, has luxurious tongue-in-groove ceiling and wainscot, with recessed lighting and sconce lamps, very comfortable bed and pillows with linens refreshed daily, qualitywindow coverings and furniture, tea service and bottle water with mini-fridge, porch with lounge chairs overlooking pool and sea and islandview, and attractive shower/toilet area. The whole facility has manyflowering trees and plants, plus fruit trees of all kinds. The largefresh seawater pool--with a sea and island view, is non-chlorinated andis surrounded by canopied spa-beds and lounge chairs. The restaurantstaff serve food/beverages at poolside or at the elevated eatingarea. There is a large breakfast buffet served daily. The French couplemanaging Vanna Hill and all Khmer staff are very responsive to guests. There is a variety of types/designs of rooms/bungalows, butarranged to allow good views and privacy.Every room has some screenedwindows. If power ever goes out briefly, management quickly restores it.Lighting outside is well placed also for evenings around the pool or onthe grounds. Relaxing and fun place to stay. French and Khmer cuisine.Vanna Hill is easy access from main road and is also easy to walk to themarket area or Sailing Club. There is also easy access to the lowerentrance to Veranda Resort Bakery and Restaurant, through their tree-house type facility--a romantic evening stroll--with a seaview from aneven higher elevation.

Review 54:Paradise! Beautiful pool, great restaurant, perfect breakfast buffet.Watch the sunset on your own private porch in a hammock, this was alovely place.

Review 55:had a quilt cover on bed ..would have liked a sheet as well as too hot for quilt

Review 56:great location, friendly helpful staff, good aircon, tea/coffee in rooms, great sized beds , good hot water, pleasant and more than adequate breakfast

Review 57:Wifi only worked around restaurant area but that's no big deal.

Review 58:Swimming pool was nice and the room was also pleasant, I was upgraded to an air conditioned room.

Review 59:Misleading no junior suite. Owner unfriendly Room shower poor no hotwater.shower flooded very time had shower. Very thin and grey towels.Breakfast poor selection Fridge not work. No hair dryer

Review 60:Setting was very good. Pool good size but dirty.

Review 61:great place to stay. the pool was a to place to watc the sunset from. there are a range of rooms, so you can get the level you wish to pay for. Location is excellent, just a shrt walk down the ill to the Crab market and the best seafood dishes we have had for quite a while.
