Reviews for Arab Divers

Review 1:When I did the booking I thought I made a good deal, in fact it turned out to be the best hotel we had on our trip through Jordan. The only place in this price category we experienced which was perfectly clean, good facilities and an amazing breakfast, with one of the best hummus I had in Jordan. The view over the red sea is beautiful. As we came for diving, the attached dive centre is fantastic too.

Review 2:We had a very enjoyable New Year at Arab Divers. The staff were fabulous and were always on hand to answer any questions we had. I look forwarded to going back again soon

Review 3:Very helpful and friendly staff, comfortable rooms and a decent restaurant too. Diving (first timer) and snorkelling through the same venue was amazing, again the staff were great.

Review 4:Far from the centre of Aqaba, nothing to do in the vicinity. Wifi only worked right by reception, not in the rooms or by the pool.

Review 5:Loved it here. Our room was airy and clean, the pool was fun for a dip, not a lot of people around but everyone was very friendly. It is a place mainly for divers, but as non-divers who just wanted to relax by a pool for a day it worked out really well. The food served at the restaurant was fairly cheap and good.

Review 6:The peace and quiet suited me but being a short walk from the beach and main street of the South Beach would not suit everyone. Lifts were available if you asked.

Review 7:The accommodation and the restaurant were good value with thoughtful and attentive staff. The diving instruction was wonderful for a beginner like me but the staff also enjoyed the challenge of keeping experienced divers interested. Ask Mick to tell you about his dives in Red Tarn, under Helvelyn in the Lake District!

Review 8:Some of the local guest when they are staying in arab divers they thinkits 5 start resort which in not... As I know its very clear descriptionabout arab divers in the booking .com , its very will organised divecenter by international team with very clean and normal accommodation

Review 9:This not the first time , all my experience from check in to checkout are excellent, I did try dive it was great , next time I willbring my family .

Review 10:Location not really attractive - better to have a car to be mobile Monotone breakfast - but good quality

Review 11:Nice, friendy and helpful staff Diviving for reasonable prices

Review 12:The place was great and the staff was really nice and friendly. Corinna answered all of my calls and made sure we get all the information we needed before our arrival. The room was very clean. The diving team was also very professional and the experience was amazing!

Review 13:Unfortunately the WiFi is available only at the reception area.

Review 14:Overall atmosphere is very cozy and friendly. If you up to actual diving this is great hotel to stay. The instructors ( Mick especially ) are awesome.

Review 15:The reception staff were not very helpful when we arrived - when we told them we weren't divers they seemed surprised we were staying there. They gave us no information about how to find our way around or to help us with our stay. The snorkelling equipment is expensive and didn't work (although we got a discount on the 2nd day for this)

Review 16:This is a divers hotel but the pool is nice, breakfast was generous and tasty. You need a car to get to the beach but it's really close to great snorkelling. Rooms were smallish but clean and comfortable. Diving staff were lovely - we did the Try Dive and loved it.

Review 17:There were some tiny cockroaches around the property which kinda freaked me out! But the rooms were really clean and well maintained.

Review 18:Carina was so welcoming as well as all the staff at the hotel. We really loved our time there. They were so helpful and willing to accommodate us. I would definitely stay here again!

Review 19:Best thing about this place is without a doubt the staff. So nice and helpful, from the reception lady to the waiters, from the cheff to the diving instructors, they were all excellent, made our stay great.

Review 20:Very polite and accommodating staff at the hotel. Rooms were very spacious and clean, and generally comfortable to spend couple of nights in. Always able to find a parking spot, which was very important for us.

Review 21:The centre is very well located for diving but is a little far from the city centre for easy interactions.

Review 22:The dive team are great and are experienced and professional and we felt really safe diving with them. The rest of the staff at reception, house, restaurant were all friendly and helpful.

Review 23:The location is South Beach, Aqaba, just minutes from the major dive sites. Staff were welcoming, positive and friendly. I particularly liked the hot, sweet tea offered at the end of every dive. The rooms are spacious and clean. The food on offer in their small restaurant is freshly prepared and tasty. I could see that the dive equipment at this centre is professionally maintained and safe - I was never cold in their 5mm wetsuit and the reg & BCD were fine. The instructors are very experienced and uber-helpful. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Review 24:Slow wi-fi. Long way to shops, but you can easily take a taxi for around 6 jod. A shame that there isnt a foodshop around.

Review 25:Great staff, good food, nice area around the pool. Good divingvexperience.

Review 26:They do not have a private beach and you can choose to go to the public one (which can be annoying for women) or to go to Berenice Beach Club (with whom they have an agreement) by paying 10 JD, but you can't bring water or food inside so that they can get some more money from you: unfair!

Review 27:Friendly and helpful staff. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and comforteable. The place is peaceful and there is a small restaurant with fair prices. Very good for your first diving!

Review 28:The larger pool didn't look clean enough to swim in though it may only be intended for divers.

Review 29:Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice decor. Relaxed place to stay. Quiet being away from the road. Being offered lifts to the beach and back, though it's not far to walk.

Review 30:We wanted to take the sunset cruise and mentioned this to the receptionist when we arrived. He said he would look into it. The following morning, when we asked if we could take the cruise, he told us we should've let him know by 8am (it was 9am) because they've already sent the roster to the navy.

Review 31:The rooms were exceptionally clean! There was cable TV as well as a fridge. The breakfast was good and the beach was only a 15-minute walk. Beautiful view of the Red Sea from the hotel.

Review 32:This is a diving destination not a beach resort, as the beach is not very beautiful but the reef makes up for the beach.

Review 33:The staff were very helpful, this is a diving destination, well equipped to allow you to easily dive very nearby. We arrived and were asked immediately when and how often we would like to dive. We were slotted in with a group of similar level divers. The dive sites are very close and the dive masters very professional and attentive. Although it was windy we had great visibility and saw lots of beautiful reef fish. The diving was easy and very rewarding. We also did some snorkeling , which was in easy walking distance at the beach. The reef is very easily reached from the beach and has plenty of beautiful corals and reef fish. We hired snorkeling equipment from the reception. If you want to dive and snorkel this is the place to stay!

Review 34:They don't seem to clean the rooms until you leave, which wasn't a problem as we didn't need anything anyway. I'm certain they would if you simply asked--they seem really willing to make guests comfortable. Note that wi-fi works OK in the common areas but not in the rooms.

Review 35:If you want to stay at a place that is central to all the good dive sites in Aqaba, then International Arab Divers is your place. It's located right in the middle of the south beach dive sites, just a few minutes' walk from the beach. You can walk down the hill and straight into the water for amazing reefs and fish if you want to snorkel, and if you dive, they drive you right to the site. And if you feel like lazing by the pool, theirs is deep and cool. The staff are all super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and between them they have tons of diving/instructing experience--good for both experienced divers and newbies. I loved that they could recommend/describe each dive site so I could choose. The accommodations were simple and very clean. AC was great, food was simple but good, and wi-fi works OK in the common areas. If you choose this place, just know that it is in south beach, which is about 15 minutes' drive from downtown Aqaba. We had a car, so it was no problem to go into Aqaba for the evening and then return to our quiet hotel for the night. If you don't have a car, you can catch a taxi into Aqaba.

Review 36:No/ low water pressure a few days. Too far out to walk to the beach for us. No shops or places to buy food or drink nearby, had to get taxis to get anything. Meals were comparatively expensive. Exchange rate on final bill was very poor (recommend you pay with JOD).

Review 37:Rooms/ bathrooms/ mattresses were clean. We asked for help organising days out and these were good and well priced. Location was quiet. Air con and pool were good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Drinks and ice-creams weren't too expensive.

Review 38:The location isn't the best: quite far from the beach and no shops nearby. On the other hand, they made up for it by giving us lifts. Their restaurant has only very limited choices (though good) and the only other restaurants nearby are in other hotels, so you have to take a cab quite a long way into Aqaba city.

Review 39:The staff of the hotel and the dive staff were incredibly kind and friendly and accommodating.

Review 40:I didn't like the WiFi, to weak, it doesn't reach the rooms which is a bummer, but not a deal brake because everything else covers for this.

Review 41:They give you a room and let you live your life. Away from the glamor of hotels but yet under their care and attention. You feel like they're your friends not employees who have to be nice to you just because their boss says so.

Review 42:snorkling gear rental is expensive

Review 43:this is where u get to meet other travellers from across the world. the atmosphere is quite laid back and u feel at home. Friendly staff, and the location is next to the beach with corals. you could snorkel right at the beach.

Review 44:The food could be a little more varied. I would not say that I did not like, but it is rather a suggestion: a broader array of dive sites would be of benefit for the people spending more than one week in the resort.

Review 45:Excellent, very nice and very helpful staff both for diving activities and for the hotel. They will arrange anything you need for you; no need to worry about anything. Excellent dive sites from the shore. We did not do boat diving so I cannot comment on that.

Review 46:The place is really only ONLY for divers. The hotel is not bad, it simply isn't a hotel, it's a diving center, and the price should reflect it. We paid 300 euros for 3 ppl for 4 nights, any luxury hotel in Aqaba would be cheaper or equivalent in price. Yet for that money you get few or no services. The breakfast is meager. You better enjoy salad and humus or you are in trouble. The rooms were never cleaned, not once in 4 days. They provided a soap in one of the rooms, not in the other, no shampoo, etc. They give you one roll of toilet paper and you have to keep asking for new ones. The air conditioning was broken and would start blowing hot air in the middle of the night. The hotel is good when you need to relax, and if few guests are there. Our first few days it was just 7 of us, and the other guests made our stay there enjoyable, not the staff. On the last day the hotel got crowded and even that peaceful feeling of relaxation just vanished. We would have appreciated our stay more if only the price had reflected the quality of the place. Keep in mind that it's a place for divers, and only for divers. Others will be far from everything else. Also be very careful when booking a double or twin room, as they will tell you that this is for one person and not two, and will ake you pay twice the price. It was a very unpleasant surprise when we finally paid on the last day. The staff is quite unpleasant and couldn't care less about the guests. The instructors were all great and they made our stay there much more enjoyable.

Review 47:For divers it is a great place, laid back, equipped with its own training pool and instructors.

Review 48:Food facilities: food is good but facilities poor; not cozy, plastic chairs, no atmosphere

Review 49:Good and professional diving staff

Review 50:the diving facilities were great. one who is coming for diving - that is the place.

Review 51:Swimming pool was little bit dirty

Review 52:Calm place, nice staff

Review 53:Friendly staff, comfortable rooms and excellent diving organised well

Review 54:Not located right on Red Sea.

Review 55:Scrupulously clean. Great diving nearby! Friendly staff.

Review 56:location is a little out of the way

Review 57:good value for money, clean facilities and nice pool. Staff give you lots of information and directions

Review 58:No other guests - felt lonely; going out was a challenge due to remote location

Review 59:Immaculate rooms, helpful staff, great diving

Review 60:No WiFi reception in the room. Far from city center. Poor toiletries.

Review 61:Perfect for divers. diving sites are near.very Good staff.

Review 62:Quite and clean

Review 63:It was only one night, but I was impressed by the service, clealense, I will come again and again

Review 64:presence of dogs is not nice and all the family were scared of it specially in our check in at night

Review 65:the place is clean and dive staff were nice

Review 66:WiFi

Review 67:Wifi connection was pretty slow.

Review 68:Everything was great, staff, location, rooms.

Review 69:الغوص الرائع الخدمة والمعاملة المميزة

Review 70:Friendly staff , clean room , good service .

Review 71:yes everything so far was excellent

Review 72:Very good diving center, good localisation, competent and very friendly staff.

Review 73:Pool was not clean

Review 74:Value for Money Clean Staff was very supportive

Review 75:A few steps up and down but not really a bother.

Review 76:We felt at home. Staff really looked after us in the room and on the dive. Sweet.

Review 77:variety of breakfast

Review 78:reasonable location, integrated services with dive center, well-sized room

Review 79:nothing to dislike

Review 80:comfortable accommodation, reasonable price

Review 81:WiFi signal didn't reach room 12. There isn't much in the immediate vicinity (unless you count sand, there's a lot of that).

Review 82:Very comfortable room with good airconditioning. Good beach diving a short drive away. Great pools.

Review 83:Hard to find! Away from water and view of beach.

Review 84:Nice place, very electic style. Food and staff were great. Diving was reasonable, sites including wrecks were incredible, dive master was experienced and professional... Would do it all again.

Review 85:Miles from Aqaba town but that is not a great place to visit! A car is really necessary although pickups arranged

Review 86:Very spacious and clean modern room - staff very helpful - close proximity to private beach club where the beginners dives take place - at 10 JDs each for the day for use of all the excellent facilities superb value for money as public beaches are not clean- also superb fish lunch at the linked Beranise Beach club. Spend your nights at great value for money at the dive centre (also diving instructors are great) and your beach days at the private club down the road - so much cheaper than a 4/5* hotel as a 'package.'

Review 87:The breakfast is decent for the price. I just wonder why they serve what tastes like hummus from a can. I don't think it would be that hard to serve fresh hummus - it is a staple food in Jordan after all.

Review 88:The staff is very welcoming and professional. They make this a hotel a delightful place to stay. The rooms are simple but very clean and comfortable.

Review 89:Inappropriate architectural design for climate - it was a heat sink. At least one km from beach

Review 90:Staff helpful and offered to return a key we had mistakenly brought from another hotel.

Review 91:I knew the place is 800m far from the beach but it's very clear in the hotel description no complain .

Review 92:Basic room , clean , organise dive center , profisnal staff .

Review 93:Very nice relaxed place. Kind staff, always there. Swimming pool not very big, but deep, nice. Everything on ground floor. A bit further from the sea then most places there, but you can walk in 10/15 minutes. On friday and saturday its weekend there, and on the public beach with bikini is not comfortable. You can have yourself brought to a private beach with swimmingpool for 10 J.dinars per person, incl. transport. Is good.

Review 94:Nice diving resort. Friendly and helpful staff. Tasty food. Good snorkelling and diving in the public beaches near the hotel. The hotel is not at the sea front but 500 meters inland which makes it very quiet. We paid 1/2 JOD for a lift to the hotel from the nearest public beach. Roof top terrace from where to watch the sunset over the Read Sea horizon. Overall I had a great stay.

Review 95:-No Wifi in the rooms (only at the cafeteria) -Food was awful. -Rather far from the sea.

Review 96:-A good diving center, with good instructors -price/quality ratio -the room was clean and comfortable.

Review 97:distance to beach further than expected (but taxi easy available) food is basic (in comparison with other hotels in Jordany) : limited choice at breakfast, lunch &dinner. You can eat much better elsewhere. But ok if you just want to eat at your hotel for convenience reasons.

Review 98:clean and big room nice pool & communal areas diving

Review 99:1. The staff were very pleasant, friendly and accommodating 2. The food was good 3. The atmosphere was quite international and welcoming 4. It was possible to go diving without having booked it in advance, and the rates were reasonable 5. The diving instructors were friendly and reassuring

Review 100:It is a little out from Aqaba though this might suit you. It was quiet so do not assume that there will be snorkelling boat trips everyday (like we did!). Check in advance. Regardless snorkelling off the beach is very good anyway

Review 101:Room was great, nice pool and facilities.

Review 102:We thought it was a bit expensive for Jordan.

Review 103:We enjoyed being there , they made sure we could go to a private beach and we could get to the airport in the middle of the night.We also had a lovely meal with fish so we would recommend it;

Review 104:I think this dive center is one of a Kind in the city of Aqaba due to it's fascinating lofty location. A really peaceful place, which provides all the required facilities for divers from head to toe, the staff there are really nice, friendly and easy to approach. The diving times are well scheduled. Great atmosphere, amazing experience.

Review 105:-no spare keys to the room. Lost a key ant they had to break the lock. had to change room after that. -breakfast could be little bigger -some of the diving sites (on the beach) have no security and have high risk of theft (lost a rucksack and some other stuff from the car of the dive place)

Review 106:+Good place for diving (courses, sites) and professional and helpful staff. +free wi-fi +no extra fee for losing the room key even though they had to break the door and lock to get inside

Review 107:The coordinates were correct but we arrived at night and the resort isn't visible from the road (nor are there any lighted signs). Look closely to find it. The breakfast was the same each day (scrambled/fried eggs, flat bread, hummus, lebnah and orange drink).

Review 108:Friendly staff and divemaster. Shore diving was good but it's not on-site. Clean room and comfortable beds. Nice view of the Red Sea.

Review 109:could be closer to the beach.

Review 110:although we arrived too early to the hotel for check in, they got really interested in our comfort and gave our room and extra breakfast to us. Staff is kind. Diving is a great experience and I think that at least one day in Aqaba should be spent in this hotel rather than staying in the city centre and coming to the South Beach for diving. Good sunset view. Prices were good for both diving, food and accommodation. You should inform the staff if you will come to the hotel directly from the airport first, so they can manage you cab. otherwise Jordanian cab drivers may want to fool you about the price.

Review 111:Menu for restaurant could be a bit more diverse, but staff do their very best to satisfy you!

Review 112:Good location (near beach and off city center); very welcoming and friendly staff; very good value for money about room.

Review 113:Everyone is very helpful and friendly. We only stay three days but it felt like home. We did two try dives and it was great, all the instructors are very nice. A great place for divers and beginners!

Review 114:The breakfast was very poor (no meat). The hotel was very far from the city center. Dinner is quite expensive for some rice with vegetables (I think it depends on the day). They do not sell any kind of alcohol, if you want to drink a beer you have to go to Aqaba by taxi, no public transportation.

Review 115:Diving with them was perfect. Staff was friendly. You can pay by credit card.

Review 116:Wow! There were sooooo many mosquitoes in the rooms!

Review 117:The kids really liked the outdoor spaces available and spent a few hours running around after the moon rose.

Review 118:Nothing bad to say about this place.

Review 119:Good place to go for diving and beach access at a really good price. Did some diving and though I hadn't dove in years they were very good about easing me back in and taking me on a great dive off the beach close to the hotel. My friend did his certification there at same time and he was very happy with it all. Good place for a family too I'd say. Staff was very good. They were also very helpful setting us up with a overnight stay and tour of Wadi Rum. Room was quite comfortable and clean. The place is thoughtfully laid out with lots of consideration to the guests. When back in Aqaba it'll likely be where I'll stay.

Review 120:The snorkelling equipment was a bit expensive to rent compared with the quality. I think it would be nice, if they offered some kind of discount it you rented it many days in a row. Otherwise bring our own. Not as cosy as Bedouin Garden where we also stayed, but better in many other ways.

Review 121:Nice, clean and quiet place - very sweet staff and the dive instructor seemed very capable (we only went snorkelling.) The rooms are completely new and more fancy than on the pictures shown, so that was only a good surprise. The hotel arranged barbecue for all the guests in the evening, which was very nice and cosy and a good way to meet the other guest. But beside that the food wasn't something to write about especially for a vegetarian as me there was not much to choose from the menu cart and the menu was even more reduced while we were staying there. But it's only 6 dinars for a taxi to Aqaba where you can get some nice food. In general you can get some good taxi-prices through the hotel for example the Bedouin Hotel where we stayed before booked a taxi for us to Wadi Rum for 60 dinars and told us it was a good price, at Arab dive centre the price was only 45. There is a little walk to the beach approximately 10 minutes but when the owner saw us walk he asked hotels taxidriver to drive us and pic us up again. The Wi-Fi is ok in the mutual areas but as in any other hotel we stayed at in Jordan there is no Wi-Fi in the rooms. I would stay here again and definitely recommend the hotel.

Review 122:Limited evening menu and few options in the area. Would need to drive to Aqaba for dinner if picky.

Review 123:Dive centre were very helpful in planning our days snorkelling and scuba diving. Amazing instructors! Excellent rates for snorkel gear rental and try dives for scuba. Great evening atmosphere with bedouin style meals.

Review 124:The personal and homely touch - attentive staff, who supported us when my wife was sick; sharing of the evening meal around the camp fire and nice dogs and cat. Great diving stories and hearing the story of the owner 's navy officer's graduation with Princess Diana conducting the ceremony. Fantastic place, at a budget price.

Review 125:Poor menu for dinner and the mosquitos in the room!

Review 126:A clean and proper place. Good diving/snorkeling advice. Polite and friendly staff. Well managed facilities with plantations. A generally good impression and stay.

Review 127:Strange wibe between the different employee groups (dive staff, kitchen & cleaning staff, reception), don't know if they had problems. Food very basic (mostly frozen I guess), no local, fresh specialities as it says on their website! No bbqs or football games although mentioned on their site.

Review 128:Clean, spacious room with a fridge. Nice surroundings, quiet. Out of town (6 jd taxi rides one way) which is both good and bad thing depending what you need.
