Reviews for Moab Land Hotel

Review 1:It was quite cold, including in the shower. No hairdryer.

Review 2:Great location, in the center of the tourist district. Clean and nicely designed rooms. Astonishing terrace and funny parrot in the kitchen. Good breakfast.

Review 3:The hotel does not offer its own cuisine and the recommended restaurant aside is quite expensive with substandard meal. The staff willingly arranges everything you ask for but prices may be higher so consider another offers when planning your trips.

Review 4:Excellent location in the centre of Madaba, despite of this, quite quiet place. The only disturbing people were policemen with their car hooters used even during night - a police station is just opposite the hotel, on the other hand, it gives you more safe feeling. Amazing terrace with a whirlpool, thanks to the owner we took a bath on X-mas Eve overviewing the city and the mosque - unforgettable experience.

Review 5:The only thing that I would recommend to the owner is finding a solution to the old windows - it can get pretty cold inside the rooms.

Review 6:This was our best accommodation during our last trip in Jordan. The staff and the owner are nice and helpful and they wish to make your stay as enjoyable as they can. Also, Madaba is one of the most authentic places we've seen in Jordan, so exploring it is advised. The breakfast served here is also the best we've had in Jordan and... well, the location is just perfect.

Review 7:The hotel is at the heart of the city. The room was clean and comfortable. The price was reasonable also the hotel staff helped us whenever we need anything. That was so useful for us.

Review 8:Fahdi and Mariam do the best for you - just tell them, what you do you dream about! They couldnt see into your head. But they do everything possible to make you happy and to fullfil your dreams ( and trust me ... your dreams come thrue).

Review 9:We had a wonderful stay here. Fadi and Mariam met all of our requests promptly and were most helpful in booking day trips. We would love to come back one day.

Review 10:Convenient location. I only used to stay overnight at Madaba so that i could drive fairly easily to Amman airport. Hot running water, comfortable-enough bed. All i needed!

Review 11:Need new linens.

Review 12:Staff was awesome! They were all very helpful with travel, spending, and location tips to ensure your time was most enjoyable. Location is an absolute best.

Review 13:Perhaps the best location in Madaba, in front of St. George's Church. Comfortable bed with good pillows. Clean room. Nice staff. A bit simple, but good breakfast on the roof where you can enjoy the beautiful view of Madaba.

Review 14:没有不满意 nothing, every is perfect

Review 15:very good location, church is just on the other side of the street, and from your room to the church just need 1min. Staff, very friendly and kind, and helpful. She invite me to have dinner. and they have a lovely terrace, like it very much. 位置特别好,下楼过个3米小马路就是马赛克教堂正门,从房间到教堂就1分钟。工作人员很友好,很健谈,他们有个很漂亮很大的天台,非常完美的住宿地点。

Review 16:all the plugs in the room where blocked and it was impossible to charge any devices. working plugs were accessible on the terrace though.

Review 17:the place is definitely value for money if you are looking for something cheap with great location and absolutely wonderful atmosphere. the terrace is the place to be to meet people and enjoy spirits of st george church in front of you and a mosque on your right. strongly recommend!

Review 18:Mariam, the receptionist is super nice and helpful. Mosaic Church is just walking distance. Restaurant, souvenir shops, supermarket, site seeing place are nearby. Rooms are well facilitated with windows, terrace & ventilations. No doubt to choose it again if back to Madaba

Review 19:There is no lift in hotel so had to carry luggage all the way up

Review 20:Hotel is at excellent location. They had a new GM the day we went and he sat down with us for half an hour talking through to us about the stuff we can do in and around madhaba. The rooms were very clean and location is excellent. Breakfast is provided in morning and is very good. They have a terrace on top of hotel and it is such a nice place to sit and relax. I will definitely go there again

Review 21:friendly staff anne and mariam, foods are great and location, they assisted us in tours that we needed in our stay in jordan they assist us in reservation and shuttles.. friendly drivers hassan and naim, comfortable beds, nice experience and highly recommended.. thank you...

Review 22:Great value, fantastic staff, the roof balcony has a great view and the breakfast was pleasant. The room was in good condition and the bathroom was the cleanest I've ever seen in a hostel, or hotel for that matter

Review 23:We stayed in Madaba instead of amman because of the central location for all our day trips. This makes us eventually staying 5 nights instead of 3. I can highly recommend this. Our stay in Moab hotel was just perfect. Staff is very kind and friendly. Good English speaking girls gave us our dayly tips going around and finding our way. In those days we did amman, jerash, dead sea, Bethany places, wadi majib, mount Nebo and Madaba itself. Rooms of the hotel/guesthouse our perfect. Clean, airconditioned, good bathroom, good beds. Breakfast included. Value for money more then good. It is centrally located and just perfect. We had a really pleasent stay!! Thumbs up! Best wishes from Holland! N&M

Review 24:I wish I stayed longer

Review 25:Great staff - They are very knowledgeable of the area and things to do. Ann is especially great. - Rooftop is fantastic - Good breakfast - Good place to meet other travelers - Super clean - Fast WiFi

Review 26:All the staff are very accommodating especially Ann, the front desk manager, who is very friendly to deal with and will assist all our needs. Her assistant Miriam is also a nice person.

Review 27:The location is great, right in front Saint Georges church where you can see some mosaic art. You also have the "Tourist Street" where you can do some local shopping and see a lot about the local culture. The staff was great, we got along super well and spent some time talking about the area and all those things. Recommended

Review 28:The hotel is really pretty inside, has an amazing view from the rooftop terrace and has a great location. The hotel manager, Ann, was really friendly and helpful. I will definitely return, and highly recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Madaba.

Review 29:Can't say it's bad but the breakfast area is glass covered and the sun really makes it incredibly unpleasant, so you can't quite sit outside.

Review 30:Ann is wonderful, always smiling and very helpful. The rooms are clean. Our had a lovely balcony too. The breakfast is excellent.

Review 31:The staff are amazing and will go out of your way to help you. They're also fun to hang out with. Directly opposite St George Church. Beautiful terrace view with spa.

Review 32:there were times when we wished there were an elevator.

Review 33:Location is perfect, in the middle of the most important museums and churches. welcoming and helpful staff.

Review 34:The noise from the street was quite loud especially on the Thursday night I stayed there due to a party in a neighbouring restaurant.

Review 35:The staff were wonderful, especially the beautiful Ann at reception. They were very kind and even allowed me to use one of their rooms to take a shower for a nominal price on my way back from the Dead Sea to the airport.

Review 36:What a wonderful place and People! Room is nice, large and we loved the view from balcony. For pilgrims, there is no other better location in Madaba..you have the church with the mosaics in front of you. Ann and Myriam were very kind and helpful and we thank you for everything Wi-fi was also great

Review 37:My only criticism is the small showers

Review 38:Staff: Ann and Mariam are terrific Terrace: a great way to enjoy the weather Breakfast: among the best in Jordan Super clean and daily housekeeping I liked it so much I came back for another stay

Review 39:Beds not the comfiest and accordian door on the bathroom but fine for a few nights.

Review 40:Very helpful staff and great location. Nice view from rooftop terrace at breakfast.

Review 41:The hotel is located on a busy main street, hence it is quite noisy.

Review 42:Very friendly staff. Centrally located. Delicious healthy breakfast. Lovely terrace and free jacuzzi on the terrace.

Review 43:Breakfast quite simple and plain with few choices. Water pressure and temperature not the best, but all of Jordan has water issues...

Review 44:Friendly and very helpful staff members. Great location in central Madaba. Free parking out front. Locker in the room to keep stuff safe. This is certainly a serviceable budget dorm accommodation and I've stayed in far worse!

Review 45:It was difficult to find. Our gps couldn't find it and neither could our taxi driver for some reason. The beds we're old and sunken. The room is fine considering the cost.

Review 46:The location is great. Madaba is a charming town and this hotel was right in the middle of it.

Review 47:Disappointed that they quote pricey fares for taxi trips, far better to negotiate with an outside taxi to get a more reasonable price.

Review 48:Warm welcome and help when I arrived, clean and cosy room, great value for money.

Review 49:The staff were super-friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and the location was great. I enjoyed relaxing on the rooftop terrace at the end of the day!

Review 50:Not suitable for visitors with heavy luggage. But in all, there's no flaws.

Review 51:The location is perfect and the staffs were very helpful. You can't miss the rooftop for the view of the town.

Review 52:Hardware (electricity broke down the while evening, hence no light, no heater throughtout the night).

Review 53:Very friendly and helpful staff (love you, Ann!), very good location, the room is spacious.

Review 54:Wifi Drops out sometimes but I was not a big deal for me as I was only here for 1 night

Review 55:i only stayed for 1 night but from the time of booking to arranging a pick up from the Dead Sea to the hotel, it was all done seamlessly. Emails were responded quickly and it was very nice to feel welcomed. The room was clean, hot water in shower, clean bathroom. All I needed.

Review 56:Staff, an young lady from Philippines, was extremely helpful and booked for us a minibus for a tour to Mount Nebo, Bethany, Dead Sea and one way to Petra. The hotel is right in Madaba center, very close to the main attractions. Breakfast was excellent and wi-fi worked perfectly.

Review 57:Could use maybe tv or faster internet. They could fix the buzz in of the door so that Ann doesn't have to buzz in the people in the apartments below.

Review 58:Ann is the best receptionist I have ever met. She is makes that hotel worth staying at. There are no tv's and it is small but the terrace is very nice with an excellent view. Its located right in downtown Madaba and everything is within walking distance. Ann can also set you up with a driver to go see the wonderful sites of Jordan like the Dead Sea. When you see Ann be polite. She is too sweet and kind. She takes her job very seriously and will help people with anything any time of the day and night. Thanks for the warm welcome. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 59:Just that our bed was 2 singles, stuck together instead of,one double.

Review 60:Everything was absolutely amazing. The sray was highly enjoyable and the staff were super friendly and helpful especially Anne. We enjoyed ourselves,so much that i would definitely love to go back.

Review 61:Unfortunately the airport taxi Anas agreed to book didn't arrive despite me emailing to confirm that they were arranging it and agreeing the price. It was unfortunate circumstances that the driver didn't arrive however an email to let me know or attempt to arrange another taxi would have been helpful. Directions the next day were also not very helpful, adding an hour to a long drive. Besides this Moab had a safe and friendly atmosphere, great value and very welcoming staff. I would stay here again but arrange my own taxi and not take and direction suggestions.

Review 62:Good location, comfortable beds, breakfast was basic but nice & Anas was very friendly & chatty.

Review 63:Ann is absolutly nice and help us for a lot of things. This hotel is the better that we tried in Jordan, very comfortable and near from touristic places. Excellent price for this quality. The breakfast is really good too.

Review 64:The entrance wasn't very inviting and it wasn't clear that the hotel was there. Most taxi drivers didn't seem to know about it, but it's easy enough if you tell them it's opposite the church (Kanisset El Roum).

Review 65:The staff were very friendly and helpful. The receptionist and the manager (Ala) were both great. The price is great for the quality of the room.

Review 66:We were leaving Madaba and going to Aman to catch a mini bus to Petra. The receptionist said he would write the name of the bus station in Arabic...I told him we wanted to go to South Station, but he wrote North...so we had to get a taxi from North to South to catch our mini bus...he is very enthusiastic....

Review 67:The location of the Hotel was directly opposite from the Greek Orthodox Church which is so central. The Staff were very helpful...The Hotel is under new management and a lot of work is going on....a new hot tub on the roof, and a jacuzzi, also a very comfortable hamock and sunbeds.....Ana is very sweet and she has a wonderful laugh.

Review 68:nothing in particular. just note that there is no elevator, so remember not to bring a heavy suitcase with you.

Review 69:Friendly staff/ owner. Nice breakfast. Great view on the rooftop. Great location.

Review 70:Ann the lady at the reception, was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel at home right from the time we arrived on a cold night. Rooms are very cozy and comfortable, and the bathrooms are very clean and well managed. Great hospitality! Breakfast was nice and the manager made every attempt to provide additional items on request.

Review 71:There was a problem with the hot water which meant we had a day and a half without a shower. The reception had never heard of where we where from, Greece and Cyprus.

Review 72:Right opposite the Orthodox church, genrouse breakfast, 24hr reception, clean and comfy beds

Review 73:The room was quite cold and they do not switch on the central heating. No lift in the building, hotel was located at the second and third floor. The room was a little bite noisy due to the road below.

Review 74:Really good position, near to shops, cafe' and restaurant and in front of the mosaic-map church. The breakfast was good and rich in the nice terrace on the roof. It was possible to have it half an hour early.

Review 75:Staff was not so hospitable. In a not nice quarter of the city. Good just to reach Madaba. Do not accept credit card. You can ear noise from staff part of the building. No breakfast.

Review 76:Enough clean and big room.

Review 77:personel was great, friendly, good speaking, they even invited us on free dinner cooked by the receptionist I really enjoy the stay, so we prolonged our living there. It's clean hotel according with European standard. They really try to do the best, even asking what we are expecting from the hotel .

Review 78:Church bells are very nearby and were very loud on the day we stayed, but they can't control that so it's not their fault!

Review 79:Anas and Ana were very helpful and made us feel welcome. They even stayed up until 4am when we arrived and helped us to arrange trips at reasonable rates.

Review 80:nothing

Review 81:Feels just like home. The staff was very friendly and helpful, A special thanks to Anne as my free guide in Madaba and Amman and the general manager, Ala, prepared a special dinner for us. Definitely recommend this hotel, Perfect place to stay in Madaba.

Review 82:The price from taxi if you book by hotel. You can book cheaper by other hotels. Deadsea only cost 23 dinar. I dont like the jordan men. They should respect the woman more. Ann please go to a better country for woman and enjoy your life more. There is much more to see in the world then only the inside of this hotel. ( you only have 1life and you should live it) In the most countries you can walk as a woman without to get hazard from men.

Review 83:I liked ann... madaba not reallt much to do but nice for day tours.

Review 84:wifi, sometimes could notget connected.

Review 85:1.Fantastic staff Anas :p 2. The cleanest hotel during my Jordan trip. 3. Super big room space and amazing balcony view. 4. Location

Review 86:Nothing. Liked everything.

Review 87:Everything. Great location. Great staff. Room was nice and clean. They were great at getying us a driver who was really nice and helpful. Madaba is really worth the visit if u go...stay here.

Review 88:Absolutely nothing!

Review 89:The staff are brilliant. Very accommodating, warm, friendly, interesting and informative Location was perfect. We had a car and parked in a secure parking lot near by for a small fee Excellent choice for exploring the Dead Sea. If we return, we will use this hotel as a base for Jordan as opposed to Amman Oh, and the breakfast on the excellent rooftop was wonderful. Highly recommended

Review 90:It was November and the heater in the dorm was not working

Review 91:2 night spent there, best value for backpackers, essential style, the staff , especially Anna, is great, very kind and helpful, happy about this choice

Review 92:Wifi was patchy. Bathroom shower curtain ridiculous - didn't reach anywhere near the floor so bathroom got very wet when you showered. No bedside lights.

Review 93:Excellent location in Madaba. Great rooftop terrace. Large clean room. Excellent value for the price when you are on a budget.

Review 94:The Moab Land Hotel is located right in the middle of town (autos! karaoke!), just across the street from a very historic church (ding dong!). Therefore it's not the quietest of locations. The room I stayed in was rather shabby and not perfectly lit, and the shower curtain allowed the floor to get wet. The hotel doesn't have any street presence, with the check-in being 3 flights of stairs up, so those with large bags should be ready for the climb. All said, these are acceptable trade-offs, and it's a decent place to stay.

Review 95:The Moab Land Hotel is located right in the middle of town (convenient), just across the street from a very historic church (lovely view). The staff were really a friendly bunch, and made me feel welcome. The rooftop has a nice patio with seating and tables, where breakfast is served. The price is reasonable if one's expectations are of a budget backpacker style hotel.

Review 96:Hard to find parking in the evening.

Review 97:Great place - just in front of Basilica of Saint George (Mosaic Map Church). Views from the room's balcony are equally superb. Philipinese hostess is unbeatable - so comunicative and effectively managing everything in the hotel.

Review 98:I think everything is told if we say that we plan one day stay and at the end we stay for four nights. The city with its central location for exploring Jordan and of course a very, very kind personal in Moab Land hotel with their wining terrace on the top floor.

Review 99:Early morning noise from nearby mosques but knew about this beforewe booked.

Review 100:Helpfulness and friendliness of staff. Good central location. Valuefor money.

Review 101:Hey guys!I am student from Germany and I lived two weeks in this charming Hotel between 07th of September until the end of September 2014 In overall I really would like to recommend the Hotel. The owner Ala S. is a wonderful family father and takes really care about the Hotel management, the same is true for the housekeeper Elias. Bot helped me a lot and are very open minded. The most important facts: a.) Its clean b.) Wireless LAN b.) Beautiful rooms for singles or couples with or without balcony c.) Wonderful huge terraces on top of the building, for relaxing d.) The Student bus drives five minutes away from the Hotel to the WEST part of Amman for only 65cents e.) The Post Office is close f.)WADI MUJIB 30. min. away g.) MOUNT NEBO, 10 min. away h.)Death Sea 45min. away

Review 102:-Fan instead of AC -Shower water leaks all over bathroom and doesn't drain well -Street outside can be quite noisy

Review 103:-Great location -Clean and affordable -Friendly, helpful staff -Great upper terrace and balcony off our room -Great location for nearby restaurants and shops. -Right across from St.George Church, so easy to locate.

Review 104:The nightclub next door featured loud music both nights I was there. Since the weather was cool and I did not mind leaving my windows open (no a/c). But the loud music disturbed my sleep terribly. The convenience of the central location also means very noisy streets.

Review 105:Good value for the cost, friendly staff, close to attractions of Madaba.

Review 106:Quite loud, since all rooms overlook one of the main roads...

Review 107:For its price category the hotel offers anything you need: a quite big and clean room, mostly with balcony and a front view over the most important church in Madaba, a well equipped bathroom, funny and friendly personal and a decent breakfast offer. The highlight is for sure the terrace where people get together and one can enjoy a wonderful view over the city. You can feel the nice and friendly atmosphere in every corner of the hotel.

Review 108:the door to the Room 202 is so so so difficult to open. u have to push and rock the key by luck to open the door, totally frustrating.

Review 109:you can say the location is very good. cos it is the in the center of Madaba town. meanwhile it could be very noisy, cos it is in the center of the town. Good price for travelers.

Review 110:The trip was one way, and they did not mention it but argued upon it.

Review 111:Huge room, the terrace is great, the staff are very nice. The owner of Boutique Hotel provides a free ride from Amman to Madaba if you book in both hotels !

Review 112:The location is fabulous. It's a spiritual area;the Mosaic Orthodox Church is confronting the church. It's in the heart of Madaba. The room is extra clean ,and the staff were too helpful. You must feel grateful once you're in.

Review 113:Great stay. Large, clean rooms and a wonderfull rooftop terrace. The staff is even to Jordan standards very friendly and helpfull and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

Review 114:The hotel has pretty much the best location you can find in Madaba. Right in front of the Mosaic Map Church tourist information station, all the markets and bus station .etc. Upon check in I felt as welcome as if I were staying with close friends. The accommodation was spotless and constantly cleaned throughout the day.. The morning breakfast was a great way to start your day on the roof top terrace where you can unwind and relax in the hot tub and have a great sun tan ! The hotel manager Elias was so helpful and happy to organize any activity needed. From airport pick at a reasonable price, to tours throughout this amazing country, what made my trip very comfortable

Review 115:Nothing. It was all perfect.

Review 116:The owner is the kindest person we met in Jordan (and there's a lot of nice people in this country). He and the rest of the staff tried to make us feel like home and they really did it. They were also very helpful. The place is just in front of the principal Church of Madaba, it has a great terrace, the room had a lot of space, was very clean and confortable, with private bathroom and even a balcony.

Review 117:I simply had a great time there. I had booked for a bed in a dorm which was changed to a beautiful twin bedroom. I felt very welcome and the terrace is astonishing ! Oh and breakfast is delicious. Book without hesitation

Review 118:The staff is really friendly, I felt at home directly; Elias is a great cook! Don't go out for dinner, ask him to give a cookworkshop if he has the time for it! The location is perfect, right a cross the st. George church; Clean and specious rooms.

Review 119:The place was sold to a new owner and we could feel positive changes and improvements everyday single day. The service in Moab Hotel is great - you do not feel like coming into hotel, but as visiting friends who are willing to help and very open with any information you would like to know. Room and bathroom were very clean. But the best spot is the terrace with amazing view on the church and mosque at the same time.

Review 120:loud music coming from a nearby restaurant, if we weren't tired we would have gone there for a drink.

Review 121:The location is in the middle of Madaba, after touring around nearby historical sites you still have time to walk in downtown Madaba and enjoy its heritage.

Review 122:Elias, the manager is very friendly. He would go out of his way to help you to have a wonderful time. Wifi is reliable and free. Moab Hotel is a little spot in downtown Madaba, very convenient for tourist attractions, and it is wholeheartedly recommended. Thank you Elias!
