Reviews for Palazzo Vingius

Review 1:Not suitable for people with poor mobility-103 steps to reception and top entrance off Amalfi Road you take your life in your hands

Review 2:A friendly clean well situated hotel. The views were amazing. Great coffee and friendly staff

Review 3:Amalfi Coast is the best place I have ever been in life and staying here was a great experience. I can't waif to go back , highly recommend it to everyone!

Review 4:Nothing.

Review 5:The perfect place for "tasting" La costa Amalfitana life: many steps, many cars, beautiful views. Delicious smell of the croissants in the morning. Ravello steps just 5 meters from the door. The hotel is elegantly decorated.

Review 6:Wifi only available in breakfast area and the breakfast itself was a bit too basic. An iron in the room would be handy for travellers living out of suitcases. However, in the bigger scheme of things, our stay was wonderful!

Review 7:The loction in Minori was excellent with fabulous sea views. We would sit on the balcony watching the world pass by. Although there were over a hundred steps from street level to reception, they were staggered with little terraces as the wove their way through, so they were not the problem we thought they would be. The back entrance to the hotel opens out to the SITA bus stop which makes travelling with luggage much easier. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated with tiles in the room. The staff were lovely and very friendly.

Review 8:The only small issue was that there was no internet in the rooms. But in the cosy reception there was.

Review 9:Perfect place, location and very friendly staff.

Review 10:The stairs did not bother us, but are very steep and there are a lot of them.. ;)

Review 11:Lovely hotel in great location. Our "Room with sea-view" really did deliver a fantastic view of the Minori beach and the coast, and had a small balcony. The breakfast was great and the staff very helpful.

Review 12:Just returned from Minori, a small beautiful town on amalfi coast, where spent 7 nights in charming hotel Palazzo Vingius with my friends. We are in love with this place and so glad we chose to stay here rather than Amalfi which so busy. Minori is so unspoilt, not crowded and really good location for exploring the amalfi coast. Palazzo Vingius is very good family run hotel with friendly relaxed atmosphere. Good staff, helpful with local knowledge and good English. The hotel is situated a bit higher up, so we have a good panorama and sea view from room balcony. It was so relaxing to go to sleep under sounds of waves and wake up with the smell of fresh baked croissants. The sound of the church bells every morning was very relaxing. Hotel has excellent location less than 3 minutes from town square and beach. Rooms are small, but clean. Only problem was with bathroom, it was too narrow. Hotel has also a lovely sun terrace to enjoy and a hot jacuzzi witch is free from extra charge. I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you Palazzo Vingius!

Review 13:No wifi in room. Need to make clear instruction for those arriving by car. Parking and roads are very challenging for the uninitiated.

Review 14:The room had an awesome view of the Minori seaside however the access was via 159 (exactly) stairs which is a little taxing after the third or fourth time each day. On the bright side you will have amazing calf muscle development after your stay!

Review 15:Steps would be a problem for unfit people.

Review 16:Nice view of the sea and beach from a small balcony. Clean, bright and quiet room, friendly , helpful staff.

Review 17:No WiFi in our room. No free parking...

Review 18:I really enjoyed stay in beautiful Palazzo Vingius. I've visited this place in March. I travelled with my sister. Location is perfect. Not too many tourist in comparison to towns like Amalfi or Ravello and it's still really close to these sites. The hotel was very original. Steps weren't that steep as some other visitors said and it was worth of climbing:) because of the marvelous view. The owner, and his lovely wife were really friendly and helpfull:) Always smiling and with many good ideas for daily trips and dinner:) For Palazzo Vingius residents there are some discounts in local restaurants - ask the Owner. The room was clean, with air conditioning, heating, TV and beautiful balcony with the view. The breakfast was sweet, but very nice with a great cappucino for a start:) We really enjoyed the stay, even though we've recived the ticket for parking:) however, we didn't need to pay, because the machine was broken. The price for a daily parking in March was 10 Euro, you can see the car from the balcony.

Review 19:We had to park at sea level and climb up many stairs to reach the hotel. The bed was old, sagging in the middle.

Review 20:View from the window Tiles on the walls

Review 21:Nothing to dislike.

Review 22:Great location. Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent view across the bay and beach. Would stay again. Staff very helpful and friendly. Thanks to them for finding my missing suitcase taken by mistake by another guest.

Review 23:You have to climb many stairs to entrance. If you have phone available and are on bus, call owner to meet you at upper entrance which is first stop in Minori (When coming from Amalfi).

Review 24:Hostess did everything to help us plan activities. Rooms very clean and well appointed. Many things available at breakfast. Beach was excellent and very close. Good restaurant at lower entrance.

Review 25:One staff member was playing extremely loud music at night making it difficult to sleep (2am). Hotel is a bit dated, however very clean!

Review 26:This hotel has a wonderful location in Minori. Great restaurants nearby and right on the beach.

Review 27:I like everything in Palazzo Vingius. It is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The people in the hotel was all very nice and helpfull. The room was nice and the view was fantastic. Also very close to the bus and the boat to go to the other Places in the Amalfi Coast. I loved to hear the waves from the Beach.Thank you for a nice week in your hotel.

Review 28:There are a lot of stairs, was fine for us being young and active but could make things difficult for some.

Review 29:The location could not be more perfect. The rooms overlook the coast and water, making it a true Almafi Coast getaway. The ferry to the city of Almafi and Positano is very cheap. Staying in Minori was so much more relaxing and less tourist-y than other towns. The hotel was spotless and the staff even let us check in super early. Big rooms and updated bathrooms.

Review 30:Nothing. Just be prepared to take 100 steps to get to the hotel.

Review 31:The hotel is located right in the middle of the little town of Minori and only steps (100 exactly) to the beach, restaurant and commerce. The rooms a really beautiful and have an amazing view on the Mediteranean sea. You can enjoyed it from your balcony. The breakfast is purely amazing and their pastry are really good. The staff is really nice and willing to help you. We would come back any time.

Review 32:The staff were absolutely lovely, the room fantastic-what a view! Breakfast was great. Various little balconies where you can sit relax and gaze at the amazing view. Minori town is a great smaller village that has everything and close to Amalfi (take the ferry). Tip: If coming by bus you need to stop at top entrance as we stopped in Main Street and there are a lot of stairs to manage with luggage.

Review 33:Lots of stairs!

Review 34:Last minute booking - Confirmed straight away. Great view. Good WiFi. Close to food. Large room for the price

Review 35:Very good location, nice view, friendly staff, beautiful building

Review 36:A lot of stairs to climb but it's like that on the Amalfi Coast.

Review 37:Excellent location. Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 38:location..staff

Review 39:The view, location, the staff very helpful Great place to stay,i will return.

Review 40:Beautiful view, lovely and very helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again.

Review 41:Amazing location. Clean and comfortable

Review 42:The whirlpool was not clean and inviting.

Review 43:The view was fantastic. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good. The staff was nice.

Review 44:N/a.

Review 45:Great location; nicely done up rooms; very clean.

Review 46:the landscape near by, the whole villa (set up)

Review 47:Room was a little on the small side.

Review 48:Great location, friendly staff, good transport nearby and some great local eating places.

Review 49:Everything

Review 50:Lot of stairs and tea/coffee making facilities would be nice.

Review 51:Good location in lovely area.

Review 52:The location is perfect. All the rooms have balconies with excellent sea views. The staff were really nice and the hotel was very clean.

Review 53:Difficult to unload/load luggage

Review 54:Location is perfect.

Review 55:Our view of the ocean was blocked by the building next door. Hot tub did not work.

Review 56:Great location, beach and town a short walk from hotel, staff was mostly very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast included eggs to order, along with cappuccino/espresso, pastry.

Review 57:Nothing

Review 58:Toplocation, Nice room with beautiful seaview, Friendly and helpfull people. Very nice breakfast. If you have heavy luggage you can take the backdoor of the hotel so you don't have to walk the 100 stairs up.

Review 59:The beds were a little hard and many places along the Amalfi Coast have water pumping issues, including the small town of Minori. This meant that a couple of times our water wasn't running in the room. But after a call to the front desk it was usually fixed while we were out for the day.

Review 60:We loved the small town, amazing hospitality, and beautiful views at this sweet bed and breakfast! We had a balcony room with a gorgeous view in an easily accessible location from the downtown and bus routes. The breakfast and wifi were great compared to anything we've had in Italy thus far. We weren't expecting much as we have been living in Italy for a year and come to expect the bare minimum from hotels/accommodations that boast low fares. However, they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, our room was always clean, and it was fairly priced.

Review 61:hot tub not in operation, but it was summer so understandable.

Review 62:location if you don't mind walking up quite a few steps, although there is a back door where you can walk around to the centre of town on the road. bus stop right out the front of back door breakfast (scrambled eggs to order) cleanliness of room hot tub views of sea and centre of town

Review 63:Of course, the stairs... But what can you do, still the view is worthsuffering!

Review 64:The view! Hotel's location was incredible and the view was worthwalking up and down the stairs. The crew was always on a good mood, friendly and flexible, and the atmosphere in the hotel was warm andintimate. And special thanks - the bathroom was exceptionally tidy andin a luxorious condition.

Review 65:You need to climb some stairs to get to the entrance.

Review 66:Palazzo Vingius is a modern hotel in a old palzzo; and all rooms have a view over the village, the beach and the sea.

Review 67:The owners Menna and Andre were the most wonderfully kind, generous and friendly people. The room was beautiful with breathtaking views of the ocean, Minori and it's hill tops. We went to Amalfi for day trips but I would highly recommend Palazzo Vinguis in Minori if you want a genuine Amalfi Coast experience. A memory making place.

Review 68:Nothing at all it was exactly want we wanted.

Review 69:This was a perfect hotel for us, with sea views and the sound of the waves. Clean and comfortable with friendly staff and simple but more than adequate breakfast. We enjoyed the challenge of the steps it made our stay there fun, not your standard hotel at all.

Review 70:The stairs were quite a climb and not for anyone with health problems. After climbing them a couple of times it wasn't too bad and the view was worth it.

Review 71:We really enjoyed out stay at Palazzo Vingius. We could open our window and we had a view of the coastline and could hear the ocean waves. They had a nice Italian breakfast every morning and we sat on the terrace and enjoyed the view. The owners and staff were very friendly and answered any questions we had. The room was a good size, very clean, quest and had a safe. The front desk had a security system where you rang a busser and they let you in. There was a hot tub but we never got a chance to use it. Everyone in Minori was really friendly and it was quiet and we enjoyed being away from the tourists crowds. There were restaurants within in 5 minutes walking distance. We especially enjoyed Café Europa across from the beach. There was a bus stop across the street and in 15 minutes you could be in Amalfi. We would defiantely stay there again.

Review 72:Difficult to get to on foot with bags due to the position of the hotel on the hill.

Review 73:The helpful and friendly staff, the beachfront location and the views....!

Review 74:No lift,100 steps from the sea to the hotel, the SITA bus timetable(every hour)

Review 75:Beautiful view from the balcony over the beach of Minori, helpful staff, good breakfast with stunning views over the sea, large room with AC and tv,existence of the entry from the street for the luggage

Review 76:We had a great time at Palazzo Vingius. The people were very nice and very helpful, the town is a nice size, the beach is great, and the view from our room was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this town and hotel to other travelers. There are a lot of stairs but it just added to the experience as far as we were concerned.

Review 77:Location was wonderful with great views from our room and amazingly pleasant staff and owner. Service was brilliant - mentioned as we were heading out for the evening that the hairdryer was not working and it had been replaced by the time we returned a couple of hours later! Definitely felt the benefit of walking up the steps - I needed the exercise

Review 78:1.The hotel does not have road access and parking is expensive.2. Not suitable for less able bodied people as access is via many steps.

Review 79:1.Excellent position overlooking Minori and beach.2. Good breakfast and coffee. 3. Friendly and helpful staff. 4. Discount on public parking as a guest.f

Review 80:the staff was so kind. every time we came through the door they greeted us with as smile as if we were a part of the family. they also gave great recommendations. i will definitely suggest this place to me friends!

Review 81:The shower in the bedroom leaks water everywhere but that's a small issue in the overall scheme of loveliness. The continuous dance music from the esplanade for hors upon hours til very late! Not the hotels fault ..It was school holidays apparently... Wow. No council in Australia allows that iodine think! I was glad for my earplugs but again.. I loved the hotel and I wouldn't mark it against it?

Review 82:Hearing the ocean at night, leaving my balcony door open with no security worries, seeing the sea from my balcony, a good bed, a nice ambience, good breakfast, effort to accommodate my non dairy diet. Staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to assist.

Review 83:Spectacular location and views from the balcony. Friendly staff. Minori is a great place to stay on the Amalfi Coast.

Review 84:all thinghs are perfect

Review 85:Alesandro was extremely helpful.

Review 86:Friendly atmosphere.

Review 87:There are (in the town area) no free parking at all, all are with charge, upto 30 euro at high season per 24 h.

Review 88:Excellent!

Review 89:The outstanding views! Immaculately clean Smell if fresh croissants in the morning

Review 90:the 100 stairs

Review 91:the view
