Reviews for Hotel Sixty3

Review 1:Not much especially no breakfast served compare the price that we paid and no private parking provided. U have to find the public parking lot and have to paid if not U will get the ticket from the DBKK..

Review 2:Excellent family room. Very comfortable. All facilities well function. Strong Wifi connection. The staffs were so friendly especially the night security guard who was helping my father which use wheelchair sending him from the lobby until the room. Overall, thumb up..!!

Review 3:I booked a room (double queen beds) for max 4 people stay (well, there were 3 of us only) but they provided toiletteries for 2 people only.

Review 4:friendly and approachable staff. nice and unique hotel.

Review 5:Some maintenance work going on in the daytime, but not early morning or evening.

Review 6:Lovely hotel in great position in KK, particularly if you're going anywhere from Jesselton Point. Good value.

Review 7:WIFI really poor;sometimes no HOT WATER in the morning;Pillow too soft.

Review 8:location;big room ~ thanks for upgrade our room; comfortable n clean.Friendly staffs.

Review 9:we booked a 4pax family room even though we are only two persons. There a few vacant family rooms available when we checked online. But yet the hotel reception officer declined to provide us an FOC late checkout till 2pm. Disappointing decision when the hotel actually can help. Otherwise we would have returned to stay again.

Review 10:good all round hotel.

Review 11:Close to the ferry boats but farther from nice places in town. You can feel that the hotel is not new: furnitures are a bit used. No breakfast options.

Review 12:Staff friendly and helpful.

Review 13:The pillow...Everything is perfect expect the pillow is too soft. Really too soft until my neck is strain after sleep. I do suggest the hotel to prepare harder pillow for guest if they request. Other than this, i love this hotel.

Review 14:i like how this hotel pay every little attention to small details. This is the only hotel i stay so far provide sanitary paper bag and use glass bottle to help in environment. The location is super with lots of good places to eat and near to 2 big shopping mall.

Review 15:Not enough ventilation in bathroom so the room felt damp and smelt a little bit. I understand that it is the tropics and mould is to be expected, but if the shower was being cleaned to a proper, hygienic standard there shouldn't be mould growing on the shower walls... It calls into question the level of cleanliness for the whole hotel.

Review 16:Fast efficient friendly check in. Awesome shower and new fluffy towels. Modern spacious rooms. Clean bed linen and upholstery.

Review 17:No breakfast but there are shops nearby.

Review 18:Convenient as in downtown. Staff are helpful and pleasant. They even let us store our bags for a few hours a week after our stay when transiting through KK again.

Review 19:The liquid soap, shampoo could have been better quality.

Review 20:I got my booking upgraded and am very happy with the space. I am especially happy with the selection of TV channels which I do not remember having access to the last time I was here. I had a great time in the jacuzzi.

Review 21:I checked in at 3:30pm and the room was still not ready then. There was renovation going on in the next building and it was extremely noisy and frustrating.

Review 22:Room size and comfort

Review 23:This was a very convenient stay and the owner was lovely. Very clean and well presented house. Only complaint was regarding a noisy person in the adjoining room. Can't be helped in a share house.

Review 24:Good facilities and good cleanliness

Review 25:I have requested for a crib for my son during booking as it is stated free for one baby under 2 years old. However during checked in we were informed that the hotel policy baby crib is for baby under 1 year old. Even though we told the staff the policy we read when we did the booking the staff told us the information was inaccurate.

Review 26:Strategic location

Review 27:I loved the location of the hotel, the rooms were spacious and clean. A great sized bathroom with a rain shower. The staff were really nice and very helpful.

Review 28:Most of the wooden doors access to the room were not fit and people are banging loud in and out throughout the day. The shower head was not able to hang on properly at room 116. Umbrella was not provided in the room despite the charges are not budget. It was raining and the front desk staffs they couldn't do anything when i requested to loan one to walk across for a quick coffee.

Review 29:Perfect location. Walking distance to lots of cafe. The room is big and comfy.

Review 30:Not enough pillows. Air con not super cold, but that's more preference. May be cold enough for others.

Review 31:Huge walk in shower with rainfall head. Large rooms and bed. Comfortable and clean. Close to local amenities.

Review 32:The Sabah Tourism just opposite side of the hotel, and lots of the local restaurant beside here, just 5 mins walk to Atkinson Clock Tower and Wisma Sabah Shopping Mall, very convenient

Review 33:No one helps to carry your luggage even from the entrance. Nothing bad but staff service could have been better.

Review 34:Very clean and comfortable room. There are two glass bottles of RO water for drinking, refillable daily. Located near to many affordable restaurants and coffee shops. Many TV channels to watch.

Review 35:Could not arrange a trip to the island - have to go to the pier to ask around, no dedicated parking space - had to share with the public and hard to get parking nearby, reception area need to have a small coffee machine just for the of guests waiting for their rooms to be ready.

Review 36:Very clean room, very clean bathroom, staff were helpful and friendly, quiet rooms are on the top, very clean bedsheets & pillows smell fresh, strong WIFI connectivity is a great thing they have! Fantastic location! Keep up the great work!

Review 37:smelling room, no breakfast room, employees blowdry their hair in the very small hotel lobby, hotel hallways to room looks like a factory and are very hot. I did not have a pleasant stay.

Review 38:nothing

Review 39:There's nothing that me and my friends didn't like.

Review 40:We like every bit of this hotel. When we entered the our room we were very surprised because it is quite luxurious and huge and most importantly very clean. The hotel did not have a restaurant so rate we paid were without breakfast but it is OK cos there are lot of eateries in the area. We highly recommend this hotel and we will come back to stay whenever we are in KK.

Review 41:Aircond takes ages to cool the room. Traffic in the area can be quite congested during peak times.

Review 42:Huge bed and bath, friendly staff. The location is great, just 2 min walk to the mall, Suria Sabah and 15 min walk to the Philippino market. Surrounding area has a lot of banks and some chain and local cafes.

Review 43:we can only use wifi in the public area.

Review 44:the room is quite big and ckean. it cost us twenty minutes to arrive from the airport. there are some resturants nearby.

Review 45:Inefficient staff- there were frequently five staff standing in reception doing nothing, they were pleasant enough, but very slow and had no authority to be a little flexible with room changes etc

Review 46:Spacious room, water provided in glass bottles

Review 47:It does not have Caffeterria at the Hotel Lounge. So Unavailable to BreakFast or Tea Time.

Review 48:Good location, Comfortable, Clean, Good Service, Evrerythings Good.

Review 49:The box that was connecting the tv to the hotel network was very noisy. No breakfast at the hotel.

Review 50:Everything was very good, given the fact we had a special price. Otherwise, we would not have afforded it.

Review 51:everything,this is not a hotel, has no decent lobby, has no breakfast service, the rooms smell, internet slow, price expensive. Absolut not a welcoming place to stay.

Review 52:location ok, but better stay at hotel with a sea view at the water front

Review 53:There were a group of 9 of us. We love every bit of Hotel63. From the moment we stepped into the hotel till the moment we bid goodbye. The hotel is near 3 malls, eateries, massage place, sourvenir shops and Tourism Board.

Review 54:Water leaking under shower partition -need to repair to seal from water leaking through to the washroom area. During our stay, there were a few nights where we had noisy and loud neighbors. Annoying Air conditioning as it kept on going back up to 24C.

Review 55:Comfortable bed in large bedroom unit. Shower is great. View of the Signal Hill Observatory and old Post Office. Lots of good restaurant around including Fook Yuen which is right across the street. Steps to Sunday Gaya Street.

Review 56:It would have been better if there was a restaurant/bar in the hotel, but plenty within a short walking distance.

Review 57:Great quality hotel, in good location.

Review 58:parking is not provided by the hotel as is the way with many inner city places. My enquiries to find out if public parking was available was promptly followed up but my next question on how much (ball park) does it cost was ignored. So on our second trip we had to stay elsewhere. We then found out that across the road is a parking station at very reasonable prices - this is all we needed to know - and had we been given that info we would have stayed a second time

Review 59:hassle free, centrally located

Review 60:It is in the city town, very near the shopping mall, Sunday market and also airport. Easy to find places to have meals. Location is quite good except for the noises from the transpiration outside as well as the decoration sound-- don't know where it was from but could hear it.

Review 61:A great stay, but the TV could do with more news and film channels in English. This is only a small tweak that would help

Review 62:Great staff and a large room. The bed was very comfortable and the free wifi excellent. The smart TV was really good, but the channels a little limited for an English speaking audience. the location is first-rate

Review 63:This hotel was super clean and efficient. Right next to the Sunday market, we only stayed for one night, as we were off to Gaya island the day after our arrival, perfect pit stop. We were super happy with the family room.

Review 64:location just next to the gaya street where will have sunday market. location is great and walk distance from the ferry terminal. room is very clean.

Review 65:washroom in room 318 need some repairs

Review 66:nice location at jalan gaya, few steps away from the sunday street market spacious family room good front office services (they sms me and helped me to move my luggages to new room for the second day)

Review 67:Priced towards the high end considering no breakfast or meals available in the hotel.

Review 68:Located downtown close to a variety of restaurants. Comfortable beds.

Review 69:The closet doors won't stayed close.

Review 70:It's brand new and clean, staffs are friendly, the it's right within Gaya Street and just a short walk from Suria Sabah (less than 5 mins)

Review 71:Should have more pillows in twin room

Review 72:location very nice, close to bank, restaurant and stores. Room very big and clean, flat TV and Free WIFI. Restaurant downstairs

Review 73:A bit Noisy, Bed and pillow can not compare to hotel level.

Review 74:We stayed 5 nights end of the year. Best location for eating and shopping. Clean and comfortable with space. HKTV channel. We enjoyed very much!

Review 75:The walls of the room seems to have some issues with water damage. The same problem can also be seen in the shower cubicle

Review 76:Rooms were big and clean. Its really worth the money

Review 77:No food available in the hotel (no breakfast room, though the hotel is close to a couple of local bakeries which serve excellent breakfasts).

Review 78:Hotel Sixty3 is located in the city centre, right opposite Sabah Tourist Office. It's close to the banks and a short walk to the new shopping centre, restaurants and Jesselton Point. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and even stored one of our bags for a couple of days after we checked out at no extra cost. Inside, the hotel is very clean, beautifully decorated and finished with to a high quality. The room was spacious enough for our family of four (two adults and two kids aged 10 and 8). Free wifi is good and the kids enjoyed a bit of TV chill time. This is the perfect hotel for families looking for a safe, reliable and friendly base in the city or business travellers requiring a comfortable room.

Review 79:Nothing

Review 80:Good location, helpful staff and spacious room, very convenient to walk opposite, e.g. Old Town Coffee, to have breakfast even it won't provide

Review 81:None

Review 82:Friendly and helpful staffs..spacious room..near to almost everything..great location..value for money..wifi was ok..not that fast but atleast we cud get connected..

Review 83:Hotel staff were very polite and humble. Room are very spacious and clean. Very near to almost any kind of food place we want from local to western. Near malls and jetty is just walking distance from hotel. Overall love the hotel locations and definitely will return again...

Review 84:booked the stay in the hotel thru booking.com, so far they had this technical issue on putting details such as bfast included, wherein there was no breakfast or cafe inside the hotel.

Review 85:A very convenient place to stay in the city. Its close to the tourism center, mall, restaurants, small cafe's, and souvenir shops. The hotel staff was very helpful in providing us tips to get to where, and arranged us some tour package in a reasonable price. Rooms in fact had lots of space, well kept & very clean. We had coffee replaced the next morning together with another two (2) drinking water bottles as complimentary, as some others hotels just gives a one(1) time complimentary of drinking water bottles on the first day.

Review 86:No breakfast options, room had a bad smell. Wifi router made a lot ofnoise (unplugged it)

Review 87:Spacious, clean room, great location. Frienldy staff that kept ourluggage safe for 2 days while we went trekking Mt kinabalu.

Review 88:We travelled as a group of three, one couple and one extra, and the hotel staff added an extra bed, no problem, room was excellent, could walk to anything in KK, a very good hotel.

Review 89:Hotel is in downtown, that's mean u could easy to eat, shop and look around by walk! And hotels employee are pretty nice! I would booking again if I travel Sabah!

Review 90:Overall everything is not bad. We asked for free late checkout at 14:00 instead of 12:00 and didn't get it :). Not a big thing for sure but normally i get it in any country in any hotel :). Also my wife said cleaning of room was very bad. She even pointed to that fact to cleaning woman and she was very surprised, haha. But i think bad cleaning of room is quite normal for Asia :).

Review 91:Location is the best advantage of this hotel.

Review 92:Pillows were a bit smelly. Not all staff greet you whenever you enter the hotel or when they walk past you.

Review 93:Spacious & clean room. Interactive TV with lots of entertainment options. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Review 94:No cafe or restaurant available in hotel Need additional personal toiletries (such as comb, shaver, etc).

Review 95:Strategic location Close proximity to F&B outlets and banks Rooms were big and comfortable Friendly staff Fresh aroma

Review 96:Tour desk owner had such a bad temper and attitude. Punched a taxi driver and threatened to punch hotel staff too.

Review 97:Staffs are really friendly. Made me feel at home, felt welcomed.

Review 98:Front desk keep on calling 3 to 4 times(from 12.30 till 1.15pm) when are we going to check out, tho' we have already inform them that we have already requested earlier for late check out i.e. till 2 pm.and was been approved. Annoyed by their calls we finally checked out+-1.30pm

Review 99:Front desk staff was friendly and helpful expecially 'Bobby' thank you. Hotel was indeed clean and confortable, easy to find place to eat but the only problem is parking,

Review 100:1. Selection of TV channel. No kids channel. 2. Never get complete set of towels. Good for body towel but not for face and floor mat. Not enough supply maybe. 3. Smelly pillow case. Only happen on the first day arrival. They changed it immediately. 4. No dedicated parking lot for guest. It's in front of busy and small street.

Review 101:1. The location, near to Suria Sabah shopping mall (Watson, Guardian, Metrojaya and etc) 2. A minute walk to Sunday market and in front of tourism center. 3. The staff friendly, helpful and understanding especially Nur Qaseh. 4. Room of four people very spacious 5. Shower 6. Cozy ambience, surprisingly calm and feel like home. 7. Good wifi.

Review 102:Just the toilet drains. But the staff were very nice to assist us to another room.

Review 103:Staff are nice, they are very accommodating on your requests, wifi is fast, located at city center, near to malls, jesselton point, very cozy rooms. Price is absolutely reasonable. I will definitely come back.

Review 104:It would be awesome if the hotel has their own parking space as it could be quite tough getting parking around that area. Other than that, all good.

Review 105:I absolutely adore this hotel! It is spotless clean, lots of utilities included and also, it is situated at a place where literally everything is accessible. Food, mall, markets, banks, you name it. Staffs were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here if I have the chance to visit KK again! Even my parents love this place. :)

Review 106:nice hotel placed in the "heart" of Kota Kinabalu. Easy access to restaurants area. We spent only one night before a tour. We spend another night in KK in Dreamtel but we definitely preferred this one. Clean hotel. Big shower. Very good wifi.

Review 107:The pillow are too soft.

Review 108:Staff is helpful, efficiency for check-in and check-out process. Try their best to help you. Location is wonderful and excellent. Value for money.

Review 109:No breakfast available but nextdoor is a cafe with good priced food.

Review 110:Clean, big room. A lot of bice details like your name being projected on the TV when you turn it on. Big bathroom with rainshower. Staff extremely helpfull, gave information about bus to Sandakan and even reservated two seats for us on the bus. Taxi service was great and fast. A lot of places to eat closeby.

Review 111:The early checkout @ 11.00 am and a charge afterwards. I manage to get an extension to 1200 noon and had to wait 5 hours in the lobby for a taxi to the airport. This practice means check in at 2pm and out @ 11am means the hotel is selling each room at rate for 21 hours only. I had on many occasions got extension until 2pm with no additional charge- I can understand if bookings are high but in this case it was not. I prefer checkin and checkout be at the same time =24 hours

Review 112:a big comfortable room and comfortable beds. The use of recycle paper bags for sanitary towels a very highly appreciated, recommended and approved practice

Review 113:No pool but as we spent the day on the beaches of Pulau Sapi and Manakan, it didn't matter at all.

Review 114:While it doesn't look like much from the lobby, our room (exec suite) was huge, modern and very comfortable. The fold-out sofa for the children was very comfortable and the enormous modern bathroom was fabulous. The location is very central, walking distance to shopping, recommended restaurants and the jetty and marina at Jesselton Point. So glad we stayed here!

Review 115:No food available (but very near lots of restaurants)

Review 116:Big, comfy bed Snazzy bathroom, great shower Spacious room, high quality fittings Helpful staff Great location

Review 117:No breakfast provided

Review 118:Spacious room and bathroom, rain shower, clean, chic hotel, modern deco, new/upgraded, great location (in the heart of Gaya).

Review 119:no designated parking space

Review 120:convenient taxi ride from airport. convenient for facilities in town

Review 121:Big room with big shower

Review 122:I hope there is a place can smoke.

Review 123:Great place. Near with mall

Review 124:bed and pillows are worse, no concierge,

Review 125:just location and tranquil, town central big rooms, no smoking, ease parking, security, wifi
