Reviews for Hevea Hotel

Review 1:While the owners are trying to make improvements the room was very uncomfortable and old. No good lounge chairs or sofa to watch tv or read...bed was not comfortable...did love the new flooring.

Review 2:The owners were wonderful. Location was great...great assesibility to fine dining!

Review 3:Very convenient location and staff was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. Many good restaurants, grocery store and shops within walking distance.

Review 4:It was a lovely little boutique hotel right on grand case. The staff were lovely they welcomed us with a bed of flowers saying 'just married' for our honeymoon!

Review 5:Hotel was really convenient to beaches shopping and great restaurants without being too loud. Staff was super friendly & helpful, and the new a/c unit just installed was nice & quiet. Only drawback was the mattress, not very comfy.

Review 6:location,location,location the rooms may not be spacious enough for some Americans, but if you want to completely relax and enjoy grand case and get a good value for your money this is the place to stay.

Review 7:we liked almost everything. Sometimes wifi was poor, but it worked

Review 8:the owners Anne and Laurel are very friendly and will help you with all your questions. Very close to the beach. Whole of st. Martin can be reached by mini bus ( much cheaper then taxi!) Nice clean room with a nice terrace with lounge chairs. Several supermarkets and a very good French bakery nearby!

Review 9:Internet wasn't the most reliable; the towels were very rough; and it was very noisy in the mornings since the windows are more like glass blinds. Note that there isn't anywhere in the room to store your valuables, which worried me since I brought my laptop and also had nowhere to store my passport and extra cash. Also note that you need to bring your own beach towels.

Review 10:The location was very idea. Make sure to visit the "Lolos" up the street, which is where they serve very affordable local food - it's very safe and very delicious (when you exit and are facing the beach turn right and it'll be on the beach side).

Review 11:Bathroom was fine but hot water was a little iffy at times. Sink drained very slowly.

Review 12:Great location right on the main drag in Grand Case, friendly French couple are owners, clean and comfortable rooms. They have their own parking, which is nice.

Review 13:I suppose in any Paradise one could find fault in the lack of adversity.

Review 14:1. European breakfast and dredging up high school French to read the newspaper on their 80-degree front porch, while pondering the 10-degree chill back home. 2. Getting outside of great French meals every night and strolling but a short distance back to a comfortable bed. 3. The warm vibe of the extremely nice couple who run Hevea.

Review 15:I didn't mind, but it is at the end of the main drag in grand case, which is a bumping township with a late night atmosphere. So sometimes you have late night noise from cars, people exct.

Review 16:Great place for a base camp to venture out and about the island. Third time in sxm and favorite place to stay to this point, low key comfortable and perfectly placed for island accessibility. Can't wait to go back.

Review 17:The rooms in the basement where we stayed had a stale odor like there's been a water leak or something. I don't think the ground level rooms had that smell.

Review 18:Nice cosy hotel in a guesthouse feeling with cute nice rooms. Great location near Grand Case beach and many outstanding restaurants. Many restaurants are quite pricey but they also have cheap tasty local food on the main street. Good Internet connection and very nice and personal staff.

Review 19:Very kind staff, the lady at the réception was such a nice young women and helpful

Review 20:small hotel with beatiful detail and very good location

Review 21:The owner were so friendly and good. The location was good. near a beautiful beach, good restaurants, shops.

Review 22:no beach access or view. just view of rundown neighborhood. you could cut thru a dirty alley to get to beach

Review 23:the room was very nice

Review 24:Great location, good staff, comfortable room

Review 25:small warm well located

Review 26:right on the main strip, but our room was quiet

Review 27:No TV. Can't check in until 4 pm, Noisy - birds, neighbours

Review 28:Contemporary decor

Review 29:Within walking distance of entire Grand Case Boulevard shops and restaurants. Private off-street guest parking.

Review 30:courtyard with comfy wicker chairs, sunshades. Locked access after dark to whole facility.

Review 31:Shower without curtain and mold. Nothing to hold shower head.

Review 32:location of the hotel is fantastic

Review 33:...everything good...

Review 34:nice mood and atmosphere. Very nice small rooms and great beds. Helpful staff and good small breakfast.

Review 35:Close, friendly atmosphere.

Review 36:The "2-bedrooms" shared 1 airco. Consequently, 1 was ice cold and the 2nd sooo hot. Very primitive; outside door didn't close well etc. etc....

Review 37:The nearby parking. The restaurants down the street.

Review 38:Although we had a private bathroom inside the bedroom, it was not very private because the walls didn't go all the way to the ceiling.

Review 39:The room was pretty neat and comfortable. The owners were really nice, polite and respectful. We arrived before check in time, but they let us check in earlier. Also, after checking out we needed a place to leave our luggage and they let us keep the key, so we could come back any time to get our luggage and leave the key in the mailbox. The localization was awesome, right at the most popular street in grand case.

Review 40:Nothing: very good price-quality and great location in the center of the village

Review 41:very nice and relaxed atmosphere , plenty of friendly entertainment within walking distance, charming hotel with a lot of authenticy in Grand Case, cool place to stay if you prefer a place far away from the busy touristical resorts and commercial plastic activities on the Dutch side of the friendly island. We had a super-stay and will definitely come back. Thanks for having a great stay/journey at the HEVEA-hotel A bientot!

Review 42:Room is quite small and walls are quite thin if you know what I mean!

Review 43:Cozy, cute, good value and right in the heart of Grand Case. Easy walk to everything around, great dining and lots of places to grab a drink!
