Reviews for Ohira Hotel

Review 1:It's not a big thing but there was very little English translation of the many signs and information about the hotel so we felt a bit in the dark sometimes. However we're quite happy to go with the flow so it was mostly ok - just a cheeky extra charge for the private onsen that was only signposted in Japanese!

Review 2:Lovely staff who even with limited English were always helpful. The open air onsen were stunning, particularly in the falling snow after a long day on the slopes. Great location and although the resort was a little quiet I think that was mostly because the most significant snow only fell on the day we arrived so not many skiers were up in the mountains yet. Also the beds were the comfiest futons we slept on and the food for half board was incredible - different every night and absolutely delicious.

Review 3:Japanese bed is a bit hard for sleep several days.

Review 4:I like Ohira Breakfast and dinner. Good indoor and outdoor Onsen. Room has sufficient space and Nice japanese Garden view.

Review 5:it's very hard to find restaurant for dinner because most restaurants are close and the open restaurant they haven't English menu we walk faraway from hotel for our dinner.

Review 6:we can booking time to send us to ski slope and call hotel number to pick up us to come back. outdoor onsen is very nice view. Room view also good.

Review 7:Good location where you can easily access to ski ropeway and restaurants within few minutes. Hotel has japanese style shared bathroom with indoor/outdoor onsen pools provided and a bottle of milk after that... lovely :) Staff is very helpful.

Review 8:- Wifi is available only in public area.

Review 9:This hotel is really beautiful and value for money. Staffs are helpful and service is great(but they can't speak English well. Since I can communicate in Japanese, everything is easier.) It's far from train stations and other attractions but I think it is okay, since I want to enjoy their facilities only. It's my rest day from travelling around anyway. I recommend you to book a half board plan to enjoy wonderful dinner and breakfast.

Review 10:Great location, just a few meters from the most famous spot, a big outdoor hot spring. The hot spring of the hotel is also lovely. Excellent service, nice, big room.

Review 11:Bath in room wasn't clean, I expect it was presumed we would use the hotel onsen.
