Reviews for Mosaic City Hotel

Review 1:I stayed at the Mosaic City Hotel before and returned because it is a very clean, well organized place, rooms are spotless, breakfast is great. All sites are within walking distance.

Review 2:The view was not the best, but our room did face away from the Main Street. It was quiet.

Review 3:The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 4:minor issue - which is experienced by almost all other hotels in the area is the early morning prayers which woke me up But otherwise - no real issues

Review 5:*My rating also incorporates the fact that i got a v good deal on my room* If at full price i would probably reduce my Value For Money rating. Centrally located, excellent friendly and knowledgeable staff. Parking for those driving around. V comfortable room.

Review 6:Nothing really

Review 7:Service is good. Location is excellent. When we needed something, they came up right away. They are very accommodating with our early breakfast request. Very goood location

Review 8:Minor issues with the AC.

Review 9:More convenient to the airport than Amman, with interesting sites all within walking distance. Free parking. Very clean! Exercise room, book exchange, good wifi, good breakfast.

Review 10:The Location was perfect for visiting near by sights. Clean Rooms, perfect triple room for our group of 3. Quick Check In & Out. Super Kind and Helpful Staff. Good Breakfast.

Review 11:We stayed here the last night before departure as an alternative to the airport hotels. To our surprise, this is one of the best value for money hotels we have stayed in Jordan. It is comfortable, clean, spacious and location wise very central in Madaba and also about 30 mins to the airport, which we drove to with ease and no traffic along the way. In addition, it is also a great hotel to stay to see Madaba and Mount Nebo.

Review 12:Staff were unwelcoming and seem to have little understanding about customer service;e.g. My wife was given a chipped wine and only the glass was replaced -not the wine.

Review 13:Room cleanliness and quietness.

Review 14:The staff were very helpful giving honest suggestions. Breakfast was good, spacious room. Very good location to visit Mount Nebo, Jordan river and dead sea as it's 30 min drive only.Has small souvenir shop with good rates.

Review 15:Helpful and friendly staff. Only made a pit stop here after arriving from the airport late in the night and then leaving early in the morning. Staff made everything very smooth, the room was clean, and the breakfast was pretty good.

Review 16:Friendly staff made us a meal outside of meal times; opened shop for us to buy for last minute gifts; the pool table and dart board provided loads of evening entertainment :)

Review 17:Parking is a disaster - it is not far away, but access to side road was blocked by traffic; graveled road made it difficult to run a suitcase.

Review 18:Quietness and personell

Review 19:The room was lovely with a nice view across Madaba. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very impressive, the bathroom was luxurious, I can't fault a single thing! We heard after our stay that it is regarded as the best hotel in Madaba and I would agree!

Review 20:The hotel was such an oasis of calm and cleanliness. It was clean, so friendly, well equipped and well looked after. Breakfast was great, the location is fantastic and the size of the rooms was excellent.

Review 21:Hotel provided map and views on locations of churches and mosaics with personal recommendations on what to see. Family run hotel and benefits showed in terms of attention to detail.

Review 22:Loved the boutique feel of the hotel. Very personal and run by a family. Lovely wooden trim and tiles all over. Good breakfast and variety. Also serves a dinner. Large room with balcony. Location is walkable to sights and different restaurants and shops. Loved the gift shop where we purchase a few items at good prices. Front desk was always helpful in giving directions and arranging for taxis for day trips. Airport only aprox half hour away and good location for day trip into Amman & Mt. Nebo.

Review 23:Less important, but not many english channels on tv. Menos importante, não tem muitos canais em inglês na TV.

Review 24:Nice hotel, good location, good breakfast. Comfortable. Family business. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped us find a hospital nearby and also offered a gift for paying in cash. Bom hotel, boa localização, café ótimo. Confortável. Negócio familiar. Equipe muito amigável prestativa. Nos ajudaram a localizar um hospital próximo e também ofereceram um presentinho por termos pagos em dinheiro.

Review 25:Nice hotel, good location, good breakfast. Comfortable. Family business. Staff was very helpful and friendly. No regrets! Bom hotel, boa localização, café ótimo. Confortável. Nregócio familiar. Equipe muito amigável prestativa. Sem arrependimentos!

Review 26:really nice and new hotel,in the heart of Madaba near the famous mosaic .the rooms are big, decorated modern, good shower.staff are very nice, helpful, arrange for us taxi at 2 am to the airport with the hotel driver which is a lovely person.taxi takes approx 25 min ,and fee is 18 dinnar.only good words for them!

Review 27:We'd had a rough day crossing borders and dealing with a difficult tour company. As soon as we arrived at Mosaic City Hotel they made us feel welcome. The restaurant was still open at 9:45pm and we sat down and had some drinks and burgers. The room was excellent and we had a great sleep.

Review 28:we were told to park in front of the hotel and we were fined by the police- the hotel staff said it wasn't their fault. Madaba is extremely "ugly" as a city- one can think it has been recently bombed, chaos in traffic, restaurants with nylon on seats and tables- poverty everywhere.

Review 29:the breakfast, esp. the juice and coffee (not extraordinary comparing to other countries, but better than in Petra or Wadi Rum).

Review 30:Walls are so thin that you can hear everything but still, it´s quiet.

Review 31:The staff. Girl in reception was really nice and helpful.Price is ok for an hotel like this.

Review 32:The heating in bedrooms could be better at this time of year.

Review 33:The family friendliness provided by all staff. Accommodating and assistance in problems caused by heavy snowfall delaying and interrupting our travel plans.

Review 34:This hotel is very clean. It was nice coming back to this place at night after walking around Madaba during the day. The staff was very friendly and they gave us a lot of tips about Madaba. The breakfast was also great!

Review 35:We arrived at Amman airport in the snow and it took us a while to drive to the hotel. The staff were very welcoming despite the late hour, and helped us plan our next day's driving by phoning to find road condition information. Breakfast was good - plenty of choice - and we also had an evening buffet one evening which was good value for money. Hotel provided us with a map showing us how to get to all the sights.

Review 36:After a few days in Wadi Rum desert this place felt like luxury! We only stayed for one night but everything was perfect. The room was spacious with tasteful, modern decor and was extremely clean and comfortable. The breakfast had a really good selection and was very nice. Staff were helpful and polite and gave us good recommendations for a nice restaurant in town. It's very close to all the major sites (churches and mosaics)

Review 37:Employees & guests were smoking in the lounge, which made the entire lobby/restaurant smell like smoke - kind of a bummer since I booked this hotel because of the non-smoking policy. During my stay the people above me scooted furniture across the floor every morning around 5am. This seemed to happen to other guests on my floor to - this was a MAJOR inconvenience so I recommend asking for a room on the top floor.

Review 38:Room was quite large, breakfast was good with a lot of variety, all members of staff were very polite and always willing to help. This hotel is in a perfect location for exploring Madaba and you can get a great (and cheap!) falafel sandwich next door. Awesome value for the price.

Review 39:Staff were very welcoming and helpful despite our ridiculous arrival time of 0130. Breakfast was excellent and hotel well placed to visit the sites of Madaba.

Review 40:Customer service was excellent hotel was very clean very organized that reminded me hotels and state I stayed in Donnell Plaza hotelCustomer Service are bad not organized they not clean

Review 41:Great location, easy to walk to all sites, restaurants and shopping. Breakfast buffer was excellent, Try the pound cake. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very clean and modern. Good parking. Good internet. Make that reservation!

Review 42:Clean, spacious rooms, friendly, well located and good value for money. Breakfast was included and whilst not a massive choice of cereals there was more than enough variety. There is a bar and pool table too which is great. Only be aware that most restaurants and bars allow smoking in Jordan. Fortunately the main restaurant in the hotel is a non smoking zone. We would recommend and would stay again if were in Madaba which is not that far from the airport. The taxi fare to the airport was very reasonable. We decided to go to Petra and the Dead Sea and did not stay in Amman as we only had 4 days so Madaba was a good location and there were some interesting Christian sites to visit all within a short walking distance. We ate in the hotel restaurant the first night and the food was reasonable in quality and price. There is a restaurant, I think called 'Restaurant', just to the left,as you are facing the hotel entrance, which was very atmospheric inside and they were friendly but did not speak English. The food was good and very reasonably priced. Our dinner for 2 come to 10JD.

Review 43:Bar of the hotel is not so nice.

Review 44:Great bed, great shower. Walking distance from the touristic attractions in the city centre. Great falafel place just next to the hotel: looks a bit unappealing from the outside but delicious falafel and the cheapest dinner we had in Jordan.

Review 45:We are returning guests. I think it's time for new sheets and towels and would be nice to have some small changes for breakfast. In general, we are happy to go back every time.

Review 46:Nothing to complain about. location was not superb, but still reasonable walking distance to all historic places.

Review 47:Despite arrival in the middle of the night, the front desk guy was very kind and helpful. The room was very nice too, absolutely clean; the breakfast restaurant very clean too, with big breakfost choice. Great value for the money!!!!

Review 48:Stayed just one night. Arrived quite late, but greeted and shown into our room. Very clean and comfortable. It's a small town, so all hotels are pretty well located. Parked the car our front. Seriously awesome breakfast!

Review 49:Mattresses were adequate but could be nicer, more comfortable

Review 50:Staff was friendly and helpful, nice breakfast buffet, very clean and nicely decorated, nice size room and bathroom, quiet rooms and nicely located in the city

Review 51:The staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't spend a lot of time in the room which was simple but nice, clean, quiet, and adequately comfortable to rest and clean up each day between our adventures. Nice breakfast buffet included.

Review 52:This is not a stunning stopover but realism is obviously required.

Review 53:Flew in late at night and stopped off in Madaba. Great place to start a Jordan holiday. Excellent value for money

Review 54:the town is dirty as well as the surrounding countryside is This is not a fault of the hotel, but the local authorities should do something to improve the situation.

Review 55:price, room, breakfast, cleanliness, free parking, location 5 minutes walk from the city centre.

Review 56:Nothing!

Review 57:Very clean Helpful staff Modern rooms Wifi Free secure parking Great breakfast Great location The hotel suggested we try a place called Adonis for food....It is incredible, great food and atmosphere and we even got a lift home from the head chef, they also have good shisha and beer (very important!)

Review 58:Apart from not being able to stay longer...? Really have nothing complain about at all!

Review 59:I particularly enjoyed the familiarity of the place and the understated elegance of the hotel lobby and its rooms. Everything was very tastefully planned which brought the saying "less is more" to mind. The room was spacious and had a comfortable double bed and a fair sized bathroom with a shower. An added bonus was the balcony where I relaxed with my book. The breakfast was ample with a good selection of choices. During my stay I made some day trips to the Dead Sea, Jerash etc. which I booked via reception and to anyone else planning an excursion I highly recommend asking to have Mr Fakhrey Abu Saaed as your driver. As I don't drive myself I felt very safe with him at the wheel as well as being a wealth of information, I might otherwise have missed out on Knafeh, (a sweet dessert), completely!

Review 60:Nothing. Suggestion... It would be nice to have kettle in room, just a suggestion, not a complaint!

Review 61:Great friendly staff. Very accommodating and make you feel very welcome. Lovely hotel, nice rooms. Loved this place.

Review 62:Stayed there for 3 nights with 2 friends. Very nice staff (the hotel is managed by a family), clean and comfortable room and bathroom, good and abundant breakfast, easy to reach location. Free parking in front of the hotel entrance. Nice souvenirs and Dead Sea products shop near reception with fair prices.

Review 63:the hotel is overrated. The staff was few and hardly cared about the guests. Not very talkative or friendly either. We went to the bar and sat for 1h without anyone noticing us, we had to go fetch someone from the reception to get our drinks. The rooms are spacious but very little equipment. Hair drier didn't work. The noise from the street can be very loud. Mostly it is very well decorated but that's the only good comment I would leave about this hotel

Review 64:the location, the cleanliness

Review 65:Nothing! Everything was excellent!

Review 66:Amazing hotel run by family, well furnished and decorated (simple but excellent!) Large choice of dishes for breakfast. Smiling faces!

Review 67:A shame we did not have tea and coffee making facilities - either in our room or in a common area

Review 68:Lovely decor touches Bar with comfortable couches & good TV for watching the football World Cup Friendly staff Close to the central hub of Madaba Lovely dining room and nice variety for breakfast

Review 69:We were a family of 7 and stayed 1 night upon arrival in Jordan. We then traveled to aqaba and returned for 2 nights. the staff was very helpful with our left luggage and auto rental. The hotel was very clean and breakfast was very good. We all had a good time in Madaba, since there was a lot of things to see in the area. I would recommend it highly.

Review 70:location is near the main Madaba sites, but Madaba per-se can be a bit noisy(although not the hotel's fault) - I guess Mosaic City hotel can do anything about the same ... also internet connectivity from room can be a bit difficult to get...so we had to go down and log in the password again...after which it worked...so no big deal really...but these small aspects can be easily fixed with some effort...

Review 71:Nice friendly place...reasonably good location in Madaba...good efficient, quite comfortable & very friendly staff...very close to the churches and some of the historical sites of Madaba... A Big Thanks to the Mosaic City Hotel team for making our stay nice !

Review 72:Comfortable & central

Review 73:A very warm welcome afforded. Very clean, exceptionally comfortable room. Ample breakfast spread; excellent location in Madaba.

Review 74:Absolutely spotless! As good if not better than many 5 Star hotels. Obviously a well family run place.

Review 75:Hotel was very good and the dinner we had at the bar was excellent.
