Reviews for Hotel Gallo Cedrone
Review 1:The staff were mostly awful, surprisingly spoke absolutely no Englishdespite being a very popular international tourist destination, struggled a bit. The staff didn't seem like they were expectingguests despite having booked in advance the reception area was dimly liton arrival, the restaurant and bar areas in complete darkness. Theycould only manage to serve two draught beers before it hey had nothingleft and also only four bottles of beer were cold. The location meansthat when we were there in mid September the slopes are closed and theroad down to the town isn't really an option if you want to have adrink because of the dangerous hairpin bends, so having no choice but togo to bed as the hospitality of the hotel was practically non existent.
Review 2:The location was wonderful, scenic mountains all around. Impressive sizeof the facilities.
Review 3:Nothing, I would be back again.
Review 4:We stayed here only for one night, but the location is stunning, located high above Bormio (near Bormio 2000 ski lift station). We loved the cows just wandering around outside, the family owners were lovely, even though our grasp of the Italian language is rubbish:) Breakfast was lovely and more than we could eat. There was also some children's play equipment for the kids to play on (swings, trampoline etc) with a view of the Alps 360 degrees!!! Perfect
Review 5:No english speaking staff.
Review 6:Best location directly in the skislope. Friendly and helpul staff in family business. Simple but clean room. Very nice pizzeria.
Review 7:Right at the ski slope. Absolutely best location, own ski school, pizza kiosk and own playground.
Review 8:Staff doesn't speak english, neither understands spanish. So yiu need to know at least a liitle of italian. Taxi from the town (one trip) to the hotel costs 35 euros. And gandola closes at 17.00 so you need 70 euros for round trip to the town if you want to walk there in the evening. It is a place for people with cars, actually.
Review 9:The hotel is right close to the chairlift Bormio 2000, so it is in the middle of the mountin. You need to use gondola to go down to the town. It is ideal for staying with kids. Food is great, there is an oven, so that pizza is fantastic.
Review 10:Great views down to the village
