Reviews for Le Vert Zao

Review 1:WiFi in reception only, overall a bit worn and their own onsen was not to die for (was not a problem with the great onsen just a 3 minute walk away).

Review 2:Even though a bit up in the slopes it's only a 5 minute walk from the main street. Easy access to/from slope (ski in/out if snow on the 'last' 100m of road). Friendly, large room (mix western/futon for family), great outdoor onsen across a small valley. We just had room with no breakfast or dinner (special price), so can't comment their breakfast or dinner.

Review 3:Reception area only place to use WiFi and have a drink, this was also the smoking area. Food very expensive compared with other restaurants in the town.

Review 4:Great ground floor location, easy access to drying room and out to slopes. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 5:Facilities a bit old, but still working well

Review 6:Owned by a very kind family, English speakers, ready to help you anytime Resort 2minutes walk max from the hotel. Onsen in the hotel open 24h! Would recommend to eat in, since dinner options are pretty limited in Zao

Review 7:Limited communication in English - but that's part of the charm.

Review 8:Charming, friendly, polite, convenient, value-for-money Japanese-run hotel. My second time here, and definitely not my last.

Review 9:That we had to go home after two nights

Review 10:Food was unbelievably delicious for a place so up there. Simple but oishi. Homemade plum wine served was sublime

Review 11:Poor wiFi. Only had reception in the lobby area, and poor at that. Pillows were very hard.

Review 12:Family run lodge type accommodation. Very homey. The most gracious helpful people ever. Happy to help with ski gear rental, finding you a place to eat ( they serve dinner and breakfast daily anyway) in the village, as well as a van ride if you need it to wherever, especially helpful in the deep snow. Can not fault the place. Close to the gondola, ski right to it. Food delicious. Onsen right on site 24 hrs a day. Rooms have everything, fridge, TV heating, chairs and a tiny table. Best part is the small balcony!! I will go back.

Review 13:less facility

Review 14:privacy

Review 15:This hotel is fantastic, food excellent, staff courteous would stay again

Review 16:The internet in the lobby was unbelievably slow. The onsen of the hotel is very basic with a really tiny pool; it's OK for a quick soak after a hiking/skiing, but I wouldn't recommend the place for an onsen stay.

Review 17:Very clean rooms that were extremely spacious for Japanese standards. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 18:Excellent location in Zao. Almost ski in/out. Very friendly Ownersand staff. Very good value for money. Excellent western breakfast. Thehotel may not be recent, but it is modern and in excellent condition. The western rooms are quite large and comfortable by Japanese standard. In addition the hotel has a real onsen (Hot baht) with undergroundwater. Good ski/boots for hire in the hotel, this is veryconvenient. After many years skiing in Japan, Zao and Le Vert Hotel haveturned to be one of my favourites.

Review 19:1.the hotel is a bit far from the bus station, but guest can call for free pick up. 2.no restaurant nor around

Review 20:helpful staffs.

Review 21:The onsen is a bit far from the main building.

Review 22:I highly recommend this place, friendly staffs and good food.
