Review 1：The beach area is not big and had jellyfish. Better off in pools which were big and going to the islands.

Review 6：A decent hotel located approx. a 5 minute drive from the City Centre. The hotel is part of a large complex including another hotel The Magellan, a golf course and a marina. The breakfast is a buffet and the selection of food was OK and was well presented. The staff in the hotel were very helpful, particularly Mr. Sabri who worked the front desk and concierge area. The pool bar and restaurant has a good selection and I recommend the Sunday BBQ along with the entertainment. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom and toiletries were replenished daily.

Review 24：Terrific location not far from KK's centre - an easy taxi ride or 40 minute walk, if you're feeling energetic. The rooms are comfortable and clean. A restaurant and pool situated by the beach make for great sunset viewing. I would definitely stay here again.

Review 25：When we book the room through bookings.com we”ve requested to have a high level and non smoking room. But it turns out the hotel wont even read or consider our request. We arrived the hotel for check in around 11am, the lady told us she can only register us and we can come back later for the room...so we went out and got back to the hotel around 9pm. The room we stayed located at the very end the hotel and most importantly its a smoking room on 4th level. My girl friend is very sensitive to the smell and we immediately call the reception for change of room. Again, disappointed..they dont have any non smoking room available... I requested them to have my room change first thing in the morning base on availability, they didnt bother to get back with us during our stay. Very disappointed with the poor service, i dont think with its customer service deserves a 5 star ranking.

Review 28：Great resort for a couple of days of relaxing. Good hairdresser (I had highlights done and they turned out great!) and pedicure. Many restaurants to choose from because you can also walk to the sister-resort next door. Great weekend bbq buffet at the beach bar. And really nice fire show.

Review 29：The sea at KK is loaded with rubbish - which ends up on the beach. The hotel needs to make a bigger effort to keep the beach clean. The WiFi requires you to log on repeatedly

Review 32：This is my 2nd time staying in Sutera Harbour. The facilities are kinda old but still maintained. The services and the staff are really accommodating and they really respect the 'Please Do Not Disturb' sign. They don't knock at our door even though I just called to ask for plates and spoons to be delivered. They had to call and confirm it's ok to knock :P Happy that we can use for free some of the facilities at the Country Club.

Review 51：The room we got after checking in (850) was near a ventilation shaft making a lot of noise. When we went back to reception we were given a better situated room without any problems, good service! Very good breakfast and also the BBQ Fiesta they have in weekends was amazing, grilled meat was fantastic. Boat trips from the resort so very close. Sunset!!!!

Review 57：There was a power interruption in my room on two separate ocassions. Power was restored within minutes of reporting it to the front desk. The beach area was small, and a bit dirty with trash. The sea floor is rocky and I landed on some very sharp items, which was totally unpleasant. Wi-Fi was intermittent and painfully slow. My web surfing was interrupted many times and I am forced to re-login to continue using the Internet. This is unforgivable, especially for a hotel that claims to be 5 star. I was not checked in immediately because I was told that my booking.com reservation was not in the hotel's system. This was stressful because I thought I was going to be sent away, similar to what happened in a previous booking. I showed my booking confirmation and after the receptionist conferred with the reservations manager, my booking was finally honored. Hotel interior looks and feels dated. One elevator was not working properly it didn't stop at the 6th floor where my room is.

Review 58：Nice room facing the sea. I enjoyed watching the sun rise and set. The hotel staff are generally friendly and attentive. Buffet dinner by the beach (weekends only) was good. Lots of seafood! Nice garden, marina, and golf course. I enjoyed leisurely strolls around the huge property, including the sister hotel called Magellan Sutera. Bus to the downtown area and back (for a small fee). Buses left and arrived on time. Breakfast varied, unlike in some hotels where it's the exact same fare everyday.

Review 59：Could not see the view of the sea from our room that is supposed to have a bit of seaview. Breakfast spread is only average.

Review 67：Check in was extremely slow. Staff service was not acceptable as staff were slow, forgetful, not proactive and got the orders wrong. They were not good with bringing the bill and would randomly put the bill on a room of their choice (we were a large group of friends in 4 rooms), this created problems at checkout which again was really slow. Breakfast was okay. Overall the hotel has lost its 5 star appeal as it is outdated and old. Staff need customer training.

Review 68：The facilities were great and the location is good...you get to see a great sunset from the bar! The band playing a night in the lobby were good and took requests. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a nice view.

Review 75：The location of the Sutera property. It consists of three properties i.e. Pacific, Magellan and Marina. One can enjoy the facilities avialable at all three locations. The sunset and walk along the harbor are the highlight of stay at Sutera. Nice place to relax and enjoy family time.

Review 76：There was two areas that we both thought needed some attention, firstly the time taken to get drinks from all bars whether they in inside or outside. We had no problem with the staff as all of them were always more than friendly. The swimming beach needed more attention paid to it as there was a lot of debris on the beach & also quite a lot of plastic bags & bottles floating around where we were going to take a swim, because of this we didn't feel inclined to take a swim in this area, more attention each day to checking the beach would see more people using the beach area.

Review 82：We played golf twice at around 6.30am and came back at around noon time. Much to our surprise, our room was still not cleaned when we returned. We therefore put the "do not disturb" sign up to catch some sleep. On these 2 occasions, we were disturbed by enthusiastic staff just to make sure we are in the room and to tell us that our room has still not been cleaned!A bit of common sense is welcome.

Review 83：My only complaint was you had to keep signing Into the wifi - it didn't automatically keep you signed in. However on the plus side the wifi was available to you at all resorts connected to the pacific Sutera

Review 84：We started at another resort which was terrible and we had to leave so we made a last minute booking at Pacific Sutera and we were not disappointed. They had everything ready for us including our rooms even though we just booked that morning and were earlier than normal check in hours. Not a single staff member did not greet us with a smile - from the reception staff to groundskeepers. The buffet was good, the rooms were comfortable, our special requests such as for a cot were met immediately and housekeeping came while we were at breakfast each morning so we could return to lovely clean rooms. What is also great is the Pacific Sutera is connected to two other resorts and you can use all those amenities freely and even sign things to you me room despite staying at a different resort. There are loads of restaurant options and bars with great views.

Review 85：I have booked two rroms to accomodate 6 PAX. When I saw the rooms there were 1 king size bed + 2 single beds (???). Additional bed you have to pay 150 MYR per night ?!?!. Therfore, do not believe in your reservation. You must call there to confirm everything. There was a convention in the hotel. Over capacity during the breakfast (no chance to replace and refill coffee machines, fruits, milk, bread, etc) - really messy. Swimming pool very dirty. The water cleanliness and quality was terrible. If you want to have a good meal you should go to downtown (only 10 min by taxi). Hotel restaurant overpriced, not to many options and some items sold out (not available when I was there). Cold drinks and coconut were overpriced as well (21 MYR hotel vs 3 MYR downtown).

Review 86：The hotel is confortable with good facilities. Many activities for children and adults Close to downtown and airport Marina inside the hotel giving easy transport to visit islands and enjoy nice place to snorkling.

Review 87：It has become a Mecca for large touring groups who can be VERY noisy, even at night. People are allowed to smoke outside rooms and smell enters inside other guests' rooms.

The pool facilities, restaurants and marina were brilliant. Great for couples, families and just to unwind.

Review 96：I stayed here a few days before the new year till after new year of 2015. The service in this hotel is not satisfactory to the amount of money we spent on the club access. Food at club access is very limited. on the eve of the new year the club was closed due to a private function and we weren't compensated for the day we don't have access to the club. With the amount of $ we paid for peak season at this hotel we would expect excellent service. Checking out we were told to go to the lobby so we had to Que. for quite sometime to checked out. There was nobody to check us out from the club lounge. There was a party at the hotel for new years of 2015 but the ticket was RM288 even for hotel guest. You would think hotel guest would have some sort of discount but there wasn't any. On top of paying a premium rate over new years we had to pay a premium rate to access the new years party??? what a let down especially for me and my wife. This was our 1st new year as a married couple. If you are thinking to stay here just get the normal room. No use getting premium rate room if you are getting bad service and the same treatment given as a normal room rate occupant as compared to club or suite room.

Understandably it's New Years morning and the hotel is at full capacity, but 45mins before the end of breakfast buffet, plenty of new guests were walking around in search of clean plates! Ended up having to ask the floor manager who went in the kitchen and manually gave out clean plates to the guests. • as noted before, since it was New Year's Eve - there is expected to be plenty of guests, it would have been nice if the hotel had notified us earlier of the room change as well as the last orders for the NYE buffet. We were initially told that the NYE buffet would last till midnight, only to arrive there at 11pm to find out that they no longer served the NYE buffet dinner.

Review 103：Arrived in New Year's Eve. Our room got upgraded to an executive suite as the room we requested have all been taken. Being a resort, the hotel is large and spacious. The NY countdown celebration was good despite the rain. Executive suite was big and extremely spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable - we slept extremely well. Concierge were attentive and very helpful, as well as friendly.

Review 104：Poor management = Poor maintainence, Poor service, pool cleanliness. Everything charged 10% service charged even take away food and snacks in grocery store. We stayed 4 nights never vaccum the room carpet and never clean up the balcony. A Korean child drowning in swimming pool sent to hospital by hotel limousine. At the lobby lounge the leaflet of Macaron shown the price of 3.8 per price, 15.00 for 5 pcs. We ordered 5pcs they charged 22.04. They explained the special price is only for the same type same color but leaflet never tells! We scared and will not go this hotel until their big improvement.

Review 112：They could never find our online bookings. We had three check ins and everyone was a hassle, our paper and emailed confirmations vs their omnipotent computer system. One of the one bookings it appeared did not work and they basically treated us like criminals! This totally ruined our stay.

Review 114：I would like to commend the hotel's concierge for outstanding service rendered during our stay. it had not crossed our minds that we had to inform them to book a taxi to kinabalu park in advance as it would be a longer journey and harder to get a taxi in short notice. However the concierge on duty (I think his name was Sabri) went beyond his duty to get his own contact for us and in 10 mins we had a driver willing not only to bring us there but also fetch us back on our last day at Kinabalu park. he also instructed the driver to make a pitstop at a supermarket so we could buy supplies. his excellent service made our stay at Pacific Sutera a memorable one. thank you.

I called down to reception who swiftly had a cab waiting for me and had already informed the driver of which clinic to take me to so I could be seen by a doctor. Excellent service! The hotel is fab and this hotel and another 3 are situated around a harbour. Great facilities, restaurants are varied and all great. All staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 120：I have a very bad experience with the 2 days stay at Sutera Harbour. i) The picture from the website is much different from the actual. ii) Low quality front office staffs iii) Incorrect information given from front office staffs I was bringing my family (mum, husband and 3 children (9 yrs, 4 yrs & 3 yrs) for holidays in Sabah and we decided to stay at Pacific Sutera Harbour on 13/09, 14/09 at Kundasang & 15/09 back to Pacific Sutera. Initially I booked a deluxe room, however, when I stepped in the room, i felt that it was too crowded and I decided to upgrade the room to family suite.During the upgrade, I have been told that a Family Suite was entitled for 4 breakfast (adults). For the 1st night stay on 13/09, no additional charges for me. For the 2nd night stay, 15/09, I was only been told that during my family breakfast on 16/09 that extra charges required for 1 additional adults. In fact, I should been informed during my 2nd time check in. Then,we might not want to have breakfast at Restaurant Boleh, as the breakfast price was considered to hefty for us, RM63++. I don't want to argue, after I checked and verified through the hotel official website, I knew that wrong information was given to me during my check in time. I feel very disappointed with the services provided, and it put and unhappy ending remarks to my trip.

Price on booking doesn't include 16% local tax!!! Restaurant prices high enough. Towels are quite old. Price for boat to the islands = 60 MYR/person/day. 2 small shores with not clear water.

Review 130：I find it odd that this is one of the few places that charges fees for the use of its shuttle, particularly since it's a 5 star hotel. I wouldn't have minded waiting over 20 minutes past it's arrival schedule if it was free, but since we had to pay for its use, sitting outside in the heat or rain was unnerving. One night, we got so tired of waiting (over 40 minutes), that we shared a taxi with another guest.

Review 131：The environment is so friendly and welcoming. Although there were many wonderful staff, Selma was especially kind and thoughtful. We didn't want to leave. We enjoyed the pools and felt their babysitting fees at the kids club of 15 myr for 2 hours was quite reasonable. The buffet was delicious, and although it catered more for an Asian crowd, it had good variety and was plentiful.

She said that we pronounced wrongly for room 743 to 744, thus took a long time for her to check. It's a complete nonsense to me. But I may give her some latitude since she resumed in a better attitude afterwards. Apart from this, our stay w the hotel was almost perfect!!

Review 137：Hotel location is excellent, enables customers to enjoy sea & sun while easily hanging out in downtown for food and shopping. Staff members are friendly and warm. Whenever we visit Sabah, we stay with Pacific Sutera. Thanks!!

Review 141：Sutra is getting old, so is the fantastic service they once delivered. Food in general of very low standard even prices are kept to the high standard. I used to love this fantastic hotel, but looks like it been mismanaged for some time and the staff and kitchen forgotten what a high standard and good service is. I trust I will find an other hotel for my frequent KK visits, Sutra is not worth the money they charge
