Review 1：This was third time we stayed in this lovely hotel. Excellent location to explore the island. Recently renovated rooms that are kept very clean. Lovely pool area. Shop and couple of restaurants and self service laundy within walking distance.

Review 2：Bar area wasn't entirely comfortable, and there wasn't much within walking distance (but partly because it was low season so lots of places were closed).

Entrance to restaurant not easy to find and menu available at front desk did not have any prices for the dishes on offer.

Review 26：It was a party on Fridays evening till midnight and it was very noisy during this time. Rooms are small and we got a room without balcony, however I was selecting a room with balcony during reservation on booking.com. It is allowed to smoke in a hotels internal garden. Really nice beaches are available within 1 hour driving distance. Breakfast stays the same each morning. Bad wifi signal in room and you should go outside to check internet. Also internet is not stable.

Review 27：Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Nice garden and a pool is located outside the building. Hotel is located close to Olbia. Also there are several restaurants (cafes) and 2 shops located within 5-10 minutes walking distance.

Review 28：Hotel is situated on a busy highway and even my room windows (505) went to the yard a lot of noise was still heard from the door that was facing the highway. Hard to sleep in such conditions. Beach is not a walkable distance, only by shuttle bus.

Review 30：The only things that we considered that could be improved (not dislikes) are: 1. Breakfast is limited - menu doesn't change so if you are staying for a week gets boring; 2. There is no bar service / snacks available around the pool area - despite there being a swim up bar in the pool; 3. Café / Snack bar menu is limited but the cakes / pastries and ice cream selection is great

Review 31：Our group was made up of 5 adults - 2 double occupancy rooms and one single occupancy room. The hotel rooms are very clean and a great size. Air Con was very efficient. The pool and gardens areas are lovely and peaceful (sometimes a touch too peaceful) The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, especially Sylvia in the café bar attached to the hotel - she is an absolute star!! Hotel is very handy to catch the bus to Olbia (30mins away on the bus) which run every hour. Also very near to the airport (20 mins). Free shuttle bus to near by beach - be warned 2 sunbeds and a parasol costs 59 Euros. There is a local beach near by - 20 mins walking. It too has snack bar and much cheaper beds etc. If you are staying a week or more we would recommend that you pre book a car.

Review 32：Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very clean and nice. A very good "base" to discover Sardinia from La Madalena and Caprera in the north to Cala Gonone in the south. All within max 1.5 hours.

Review 64：Place was pre-season, so food was quite bland at breakfast with one choice of hot food, omelette, which by day three was a bit too much. Cold selection was also too sweet e.g. Cereal and toast was all full of sugar to last longer, we had to ask for plain croissant because they only had chocolate and other sweet fillings, just to put this into context, even the muesli had chocolate sprinkles mixed in it. I have a sweet tooth but that was a bit much. Was expecting fresh simple foods, they didn't even have any fruit. Nothing fresh.

Review 66：Two things: location is really bad - in the middle of nowhere, the nearest beaches was not nice at all, had to go almost 30-50 kilometres to a nice place. Second thing - there was a wedding party at the hotel on Sunday!! We could not use swimming pool and could not sleep.

Review 68：We enjoyed our stay in Hotel Speraesole in Murta Maria very much. We stayed there two weeks with a little baby. We got a very quiet room with a balcony towards the garden and swimming pool. The room was so quiet that I was able to sleep without earplugs which has so far been possible only in few hotels. Not all the rooms had balcony facing the swimming pool and some rooms were quite close to the road due to this some of the rooms may be noisier than our room. The aircondition worked well and was not too noisy. One could hear people talking in the rooms next door and in the corridor but we had very quiet neighbours and this was not a problem at all for us. Actually the only problem with the neighbours was that the people staying in the room below us smoked in their balcony and due to that we could not keep our balcony door open. The hotel had wedding party both Saturdays during our stay. That caused some noise but it was not a problem for us because the party and noise ended by midnight. The room was very clean and it was cleaned daily. The room had been recently renowated and the furniture was quite new. The matress was a bit hard as usual in Italy but it was perfert for me. The matress was a bit old and unevenly worn. The left side was higher than the right side. There was a satellite tv with plenty of channels but we could not find any english speaking channel though. The linen was changed every Sunday. Towels were changed daily if you wanted. The cleaning staff was very friendly. The pool and garden area very really beautiful. The breakfast was great. There were so many different things to eat: bacon, eggs, yogurt, cerials, bread, pastries, cakes, fruits. We ate breakfast late almost every day and there were still plenty of food to eat. There was a small minibar fridge in the room. The wifi worked in the room but was broken for five days during our stay. The location of the hotel was great.

Review 70：We stayed at a family room off-season. Great room with decent size. Very clean, great breakfast. The pool became quiet cold this time of the year, but the sea was perfect for swimming. Only 2-3 km to a beatiful beach of Porto Istana, the most small children friendly beach we have ever seen. Some nice restaurants in Murta Maria walking distance from the hotel. Good food at the hotel, but I want particurarly to recommend a great family run place on the way to Porto Istana. From the hotel turn left of the first round-about and then you will find the place on the left side 200m past the roundabout. Great home maid food and fantastic tiramisu!

Review 71：The beds were uncomfortable. Both of us woke up with sore shoulders! The public transport does not lend itself to travelling any distance as there were only buses ever 3 hours so I cannot stress the importance of having a car! I have no idea how bad other peoples breakfasts have been before but we were both very disappointed with the selection. Unless you like sweet tarts or ham and cheese its not the breakfast for you. Also the pool was a lot smaller than the picture made it look. Do not be fooled!

Review 72：There were beaches within a half hour walking radius - which for Sardinia was close! Lots of space for parking.

Review 73：The really stupid sign on the minibar that it is not allowed to put own drinks, etc.. into it. And they charge 10€ if you do not follow the rules - it seemed to me very unhospitable - and that for 150€ per night.... The minibar was filled with poor 4 bottles and the cheap fridge was by no way cold. It seems to be a joke for me. The way to the beach is too far to walk. In my oppinion that hotel is really overvoted.

Review 74：Very friendly people, enough parking possibilities, in the meantime fruits are also served for breakfast, although the quality was not outstanding of it, because we found an old moldy and dried strawberry sticked on a nektarine...

Review 75：Me and my spouse spend 3 days here in mid July.When looking at the descripition of the hotel we were hoping there would be a bar near the pool area, but that was closed during the entire stay and there was no service in the pool area of water or any refreshments.My biggest problem though was a problematic situation with the AC. This is very important for me, therefore I only rent hotel-rooms with AC because I like to sleep in cold locations. The first night I mentioned that the AC wasn’t working and te staff promised to fix it during the second day. The front desk claimed it was too late to fix it that day and they had no more rooms available at that time to change, but they could fix a temporary bed for us, which we declined due to not wanting to leave all our stuff in the other room. When arriving to the room the second night (1 pm) there was a power-breakdown for 5 hours which I went up to discuss with the personel three times (1pm, 3pm, 5pm), each time with a promise that it would be fixed and that help was on its way. At this time the hotel room was about +30 degrees Celsius, which left me w/o any sleep prior to having to go up due to our scheduled diving trip. During the last night I didn’t bother to discuss the bad AC because we arrived really late and I was honestly tired of them not having fixed the AC.During check-out I asked nicely if there would be any compensation for the bad AC, the power breakdown and the lack of sleep (slept about 6 hours over 3 nights). Then I was verbally attacked by the front desk personel whom told me that they could of course not give me any compensation due to the fact that they were uninsured and could in fact not be compensated themselves. They also showed me the service-records that showed that the AC wasn’t broken, the problem was that it could only be set to +30degrees controlled, not 25, 20, 15, 10 etc. or in fan-mode, because then it didn’t work.

Review 76：The pool was nice and the restaurant had descent food. The really good thing was the front-hotel café which had a very nice lady working there who made our trip a bit more pleasant.

Review 77：That I was told that minibar items can't be removed and that Ican't use refrigerator for my own use. Tv was broken, contactedreception several times, only promices no action. No curtain on theshower, water all over the floor, no drain in the bathroom. Upon arrivalreceived a room with look over the parking and thrash buckets, foradditional 10 Euro per night we could of get good garden view. Ratherpoor breakfast.

Review 86：We booked our room as double standard, but they gave us triple room with sea view for free. It had a big balcony- terrace, lcd tv with sky, was cleaned every day. Whole hotel and surroundings were very tidy, beautiful big lawn area beside swimming pool, which had separate part for little children, part for juniors and part for adults. Staff was helpful and breakfast restaurant was perfect. Porto Istana white sand beach is 3 km away, but we prefered another huge beach 1,5 km away. Excellent value for money and excellent stay. Definitely recommend it for everyone.

Review 118：Restaurant was a little formal for my liking, whether that was because of the large wedding parties taking place, I do not know. One waitress in particular was a little austere and unfriendly because she made no effort to communicate, whereas others did. Not as friendly an atmosphere as other accommodations we stayed in around Sardinia.

Porto Istana is such a gorgeous beach and only a 2 minute drive away from the hotel. A rental car is a must in Sardinia.

Fairly close to Olbia airport - just note that roadworks at present (mid-Sept 2012) mean you have to follow yellow diversion signs to MurtaMaria, rather than follow anything you may have got from GoogleMaps. Great to have cafe at hotel as well - lovelt to sit out and have a drink or a snack. Great restaurant just up the road called the Pergola - amazing food at really cheap prices.

Review 128：The cleanest hotel I have been in in a long time. Staff were excellent could not do enough for you - nothing was too much trouble and they were all extremely pleasant. We booked a room with a sea view overlooking the pool and the beautifully kept gardens which we could have looked at all day it was so lovely and peaceful! Beds very comfortable and good choice at breakfast as well as having plenty of fresh fruit. Overall an excellent hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it and would definitely stay there again on my next visit to Sardinia.
