Reviews for Jindy Inn
Review 1:Not applicable, all was excellent
Review 2:Travelled in Dec 2015. Stayed 2 nights. Location was great, one street back from the main street so not much passing traffic but still able to walk everywhere. Had a first floor room with a private balcony overlooking Jindabyne. Pay only a little bit more for this rather than the ground floor, well worth it. Loved the communal kitchen and laundry. New owners were delightful and if we are ever back that way, we will certainly stay at Jindy Inn again.
Review 3:It rained... nothing to do with the hotel anyway.
Review 4:The staff was really nice and helpful. Hotel is really clean and it's better than it looks in the photos. Breakfast was also very good. We'll be back!
Review 5:Exceptionally friendly and welcoming hosts who went out of their way to accommodate us at the last minute. Very clean and comfortable and everything we needed. Recommended.
Review 6:We had a really nice stay. Big plus is the well equipped kitchen with a big fridge. Nice room and bathroom. Shops in walking distance. Overall great value.
Review 7:Nothing.
Review 8:These people have only just taken over the Motel and so are a little on the nervous side. However they did a great job and are very helpful and friendly. Try their bircher muesli its great .
Review 9:Friendly lady at reception and a nice place to stay in Jindabyne. Room is cosy and has views to the lake. All essentials are also present-kettle, hairdryer, fridge.
Review 10:Although it was good to have communal kitchen facilities, the smell of guests' dinner cooking in their slow cooker permeated the whole hotel giving the aroma of an old folks home. Not pleasant.
Review 11:The staff were very friendly and helpful - definitely going the extra mile.
Review 12:The location was close to the lake and was within walking diistance to local shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly, and informed us of regional atttractions that we could be interested in. Room was clean and comfotable.
Review 13:Very personalised experience. Fantastic information about the local area and also really useful advice tailored for what we intended to do in the area.
Review 14:The guest facilities (coin operated laundry and a well-equipped communal kitchen) were well thought out and very clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The lake view was nice although the property is not on the lake front.
Review 15:Parking is a bit confusing for customers. Sometimes cannot find a car spot due to too many people going there for dinner.
Review 16:Good location. Friendly staff. Great food.
Review 17:During peak times, wifi is very slow.
Review 18:Rooms are spacious and modern. Shower had good water pressure, some of the tiles seemed to be heated. 5 min walk to town,
Review 19:The quilt cover makes us feel like very old, carpet is dusty for us.
Review 20:The stuffs are very friendly. The breakfast is very nice. The restaurant is good as well. The bathroom is very clean. Free parking.
Review 21:Fish smell coming from the restauant into the hotel room. Although it was one of the fairest prices for peak snow season, it was still a bit much for a hotel in great need of a refurbish.
Review 22:The staff and restaurant staff were fantastic. The restaurant food was generous in size and a fair price. The room was clean and spacious.
Review 23:wifi was up and down. Not a big deal but would prefer better reception
Review 24:Lovely and friendly personal. Very convenient location and coaches operation surrounded, good shopping centre at walking distance, good choice of restaurants. And the most popular is Drying room which is a huge relief for drying wet clothing after skiing trip. Loved that place and will come again. Highly recommended to families who are looking for convenience, reasonable price and comfort.
Review 25:The staff were very friendly every time they saw you. They also made every effort to remember our names and how our day had been or what we planned to do for the day. It was freshing staying there, it was very welcoming and friendly place to stay. Would definitely stay there again.
Review 26:There was no indoor pool or exercise room. Would be better with a more secure drying room
Review 27:Prime location, lovely staff, breakfast was wonderful, great value for money, room cleaned daily
Review 28:my only comment would be to offer Nespresso espresso instead of filter coffee, but not a deal breaker, just a comment . Cheers!
Review 29:very friendly and welcoming. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Reasonably priced , what more can you ask for? Recommend it. Keith
Review 30:No complaints.
Review 31:Brilliant staff, spotless rooms, great location, very reasonable price, beautiful view of the sunrise! And the well-equipped kitchen. All in all, pretty great place to stay.
Review 32:Enjoyed sitting in the park overlooking the lake enjoying lunch and watching families enjoy the location with their children and dogs. Great view of the town and lake from the top of the road at the airport
Review 33:Great reception when we came in and was also told about the best places of the area and also kept us informed of the snow situation. Clean and comfortable.Would stay there again for sure.
Review 34:In the evening the Inn had enough lighting outside, but the city street lighting was poor. If one arrives when it is dark, it would be difficult to find the Inn. This is not the Inn owners fault.
Review 35:The owner was very friendly and helpful. The Inn is on a side Street, away from the noisy main drag. Our room was on the main floor; no stairs to climb.
Review 36:The guest kitchen was poorly equipped and cold. Several hotplates on the electric stoves did not work.
Review 37:Rooms had a view of Lake Jindabyne. Clean and comfortable.
Review 38:Very odd smell, almost acetic vinegar like, in all public areas, hopefully temporary but still as strong in the morning. Fortunately not in our room.
Review 39:Very clean, gleaming modern bathroom, BONUS Points for a working exhaust fan in the bathroom !!!
Review 40:Outside lighting at front not very good and back street very dark, especially when walking at night.
Review 41:Very comfortable room, looks like they have been refurbished recently, very nice. Going on another reviewers advice, booked the top floor and had a nice view of the lake. Lovely quiet location. Staff extremely friendly with plenty advice about places eat, etc. Amazed they also have a full on 'camp kitchen' downstairs which offers people lots of choice , fantastic!
Review 42:Big room with private balcony overlooking the water. Big communal kitchen and coin-op laundry. Heat in the room, lots of parking and free wifi. The lady who checked us in was very helpful in providing information for our drive on the Barry Way.
Review 43:The hotel does have a view of the lake, though partly obscured by trees. Rooms have good access to a balcony. Jindabyne is small, so all amenities are close. Very helpful check-in staff.
Review 44:A great location and newly renovated rooms were an asset to our stay. It was clean and had all the conveniences we needed including a communal kitchen. We had a nice view of the lake from our balcony too.
Review 45:I booked here partially because my wife liked the idea of staying at a B&B. To us, a B&B is more like staying in somebody's house, and you have breakfast at an eat in kitchen. Think like the '80s Newhart show type of place. This is not that. It's a very nice motel with a nice restaurant. So that's great and all, but to me it is not a B&B. Maybe that's just my American perspective though.
Review 46:Great people to deal with, nice facilities. I'd have no problem with staying here again.
Review 47:Noothing at all.
Review 48:The location is walking distance from shops and pubs. Excellent view over the lake from the top floor. Extensive facilities and spotlessly clean.
Review 49:The Hotel was very clean and good value for money we paid, there is a nice kitchen, washing machine, dryer if needs, they serving breakfast also for some extra money, good location to the nearby activities and walking distance to the lake, shops and restaurants, the staff at reception very helpful to advise the trips around and showing on the map the most popular hiking tracks, the lady gave us her own mossie repelent because she was aware that the flies might annoy us while we are walking, what a Legend, entirely happy with the stay,
Review 50:A little tired, but in terms of value for money & general comfort, we were happy.
Review 51:Friendly staff who made feel welcome. Comfortable beds & pillows in a spacious room. Room had a lovely outlook over the lake. We could walk to the shops, restaurants & supermarkets.
Review 52:Nothing really
Review 53:The location if you like the small town feel. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. She went out of her way to show us where things t do in there area were.
Review 54:Staff are more than happy to help with inquiries or any needs. Cook serves up a great hot breakfast in the morning. Rooms are very clean, comfortable and quiet.
Review 55:Saw a silver fish in the breakfast area. Whilst there is a coffee machine, it was the worst coffee I've ever had. Drink the instant stuff that's in the room.
Review 56:Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room and bathroom were very clean. The bed was pretty comfortable. Quirky decor.
Review 57:Jindy Inn is looking very run down. It smells of dampness. Furniture is very old and rooms are in need of a renovation. The dining room isn't very inviting we went up the road for breakfast. It all needs a paint and new carpet with the furniture modernised.
Review 58:Staff were very friendly and helpful. Free WiFi is very handy. Bathrooms were very clean and modern. Outlook from our 1st floor rooms were beautiful overlooking Lake Jindabyne.
Review 59:Nothing
Review 60:Had one of the top floor rooms & the balcony overlooked the lake which was perfect –only two rooms offer this view so we were lucky our stop was not within peak season. Clean, tidy & well located & within walking distance of the restaurants.
Review 61:No much - it's obviously not a young thing but the bathroom has been renovated and the rest was old but fine.
Review 62:pretty much everything - in a quiet location despite rooms being almost on the main road, but it is off season. for an overnight stop it was comfortable, clean and convenient.
