Reviews for Chalet Dei Rododendri

Review 1:İnternet is free only in the restaurant. If you want to connect in the room, it costs 10 € . Land road. It can be dangerous for motorbikers like us. Half of the biker group felt down who came after us. Need more signs after bormio 2000.

Review 2:Typical warm italian stuff. So friendly and helpful. Nice view. Very good water. Price. Delicious italian food.

Review 3:Very difficult to get to; no heating in the room; they said free wi-fi but we had to pay for it.

Review 4:Staff was very friendly and helpful. Grounds were beautiful. We came in the summer, no snow, but it's probably better as a ski chalet rather than a summer vacation spot.

Review 5:Breakfast was not I was expected...:(.

Review 6:The Room was to small and little and primitiv

Review 7:The food was one of the Best and the view was exelent

Review 8:The road above the Bormio 2000m ski station was very rough, steep and not a little scary. But our host was happy to pick guests up in his 4-wheel drive. Apparently, in the winter you can get there on the gondola and then get the snow-cat.

Review 9:This is a beautifully kept ski chalet high (very high) on the mountain. This means fabulous views and awesome vistas across the valley to the start of the even more awesome Stelvio Pass. The rooms are smart, comfortable and clean. The shower was powerful. I found a family of marmots on the mountain further up from the chalet (and discovered the alpine rose flourishing on the rocky outcrops there which gives the chalet its name). Our friendly host provided a TV in the dining room so that he could join my husband and another English guest for the Italy / England football game. Of course Italy won! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - thank you.

Review 10:You need to use a snowmobile for suitcase access, so leaving times are restricted to after 16.30 or before 9, unless you ski down with them. Being on the back of the snowmobile is great fun though!

Review 11:The staff were both friendly and helpful, the food great and you are located on the slopes - they literally go around the chalet. Bormio 2000 is also a good resort.

Review 12:On full moon saturdays, there is a dinner going on until midnight where people in skibbots are partying untill midnight. The stuff than moves the furniture and cleans the dining room until 2 a.m. The noise is incredible.

Review 13:Excellent location, beautiful view, clean and cosy rooms, nice owner.

Review 14:It is a bit isolated after 4:30, as your only way up and down to the chalet is by snowmobile. Also, with no TV in the rooms, it would be nice if WIFI was free.

Review 15:The staff are very nice and accommodating. The location is perfect for people coming to ski and wanting to be right on the mountain. The rooms are comfortable and the meals are delicious.

The Fine Print

Please note that the Stelvio Mountain Pass is closed from November until the end of May. This means that you will have to take a longer alternative route to reach the property.
