Review 7：Food service. On our first night we ordered in room dining. It took between two to three hours to arrive by which time we had lost our appetites. This was disappointing but at least we were not charged for the meal. The following night we ordered food at stingrays. After at least an hour and a half to two hours later I asked a bar attendant if our meal was coming. She said she would check and almost immediately our chicken nachos and salads arrived. The nachos was Luke warm. At 1pm my boy was vomiting and complaining of stomach pains. I discovered the following day that our friend who had also eaten the chicken nachos was ill. When I mentioned this to the man at the front desk he told me that he would pass on the information to the food manager for an investigation. He took my phone number and told me I would be phoned that day. I did not receive any phone call. I mentioned this to the same man the following day as I checked out and he told me he would follow it up with the relevant food manager again. I am still yet to hear from anyone. The extreme tardiness in food delivery and the poor response from staff to a valid querie about likely food poisoning has negatively impacted on our ability to enjoy our time at your hotel.

Review 8：The hotel looks great. The female staff member who made our morning coffee and hot chocolate was friendly and efficient with her service.

Review 9：Only negative was that the shower was a little grubby. I only say this in comparison to the rest of the hotel and room. Everything else is ultra modern and spotless so the mold in the shower stood out.

Review 11：king beds are just 2 singles pushed together, very uncomfortable and seemed like very old mattresses. Shower was a little mouldy. We had an adjoining room and could hear every word the neighbours said.

Review 16：Loved our stay @ QT. The little things like beach bags and haivanas, beach towels , candles in the room made our stay memorable. The views were amazing and this is one of the few hotels that have a balcony to enjoy it from. The breakfast spread in the morning was excellent as well, catering to all tastes.

Review 17：Our room was not the 5 star standard as expected. Had to ask the cleaners for tea/coffee as they were never replaced on a daily basis. The room wasnt cleaned, all they would do was make your bed and fold towels up, a few times we came back from a day out and the used cups and glasses were still sat on the side, no clean replacements.

Review 20：The first thing we loved about QT Gold Coast was the retro decor, furniture and staff uniforms...so cool! It is an era I love, and the whole place including our room, had that look. We were staying 3 days leading up to New Years Eve so the place was busy and fully booked but from what we saw, no one was ever left standing around waiting. From check in to check out we were always met with a friendly face and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The bed was soooo comfy! Keep up the good work, QT Gold Coast :)

Review 21：Loved the location , only a few mins walk to Cavill Ave . Staff couldn't do enough for you . Also the decor in rooms is so nice, will stay here again .

Review 22：The bathroom was poorly designed. The floor of room 1610 is flat and floods from the shower and does not drain as there are no cuts of the tiles / slope for water to drain. The shower shelf is in the way in its current position and should be removed to above the taps as it currently sits at shoulder height and digs into your skin. The gym needs to be updated. The inflexibility of the spa times. You cannot book at anytime. Spa treatments are wonderful. The balcony need chair/s, rather then dragging from inside. The linen was a little tatty on some linen change days. Frayed along the ends should be thrown. The locking mechanism on room 1610 needs to be replaced as it rattles and does not lock easily. The paint below the aircon grill is all peeling and has effected the gyprock. Needs replacing.

Review 24：Amazing, friendly staff who went out of their way to help us with everything. Mountain view room had a gorgeous night time (and daytime!) view, could still see the ocean (: location was perfect, five minute walk from cavill and the beach, but far enough that noise didn't keep us up at night. We visited all of the restaurants in house, Yamagen has the best sushi of my life and Bazaar was such a great experience worth the money! Stingray makes great cocktails and the bartender taught us loads about what we were drinking. This is our new favourite hotel, will 100% be recommending it to friends and will return ASAP! Shout out to Jess in reception for being the best help ever, we loved her!

Review 25：The king bed was so uncomfortable, we had to change rooms as it wassinking really bad. Had a really nice bathroom. The second room we gottransferred to the bed didn't sink as far as the first but stilluncomfortable and could feel the springs in the bed. This room had anold shower over bathtub wasn't nice and room was older paint comingoff. First room definitely looked amazing aswell as the bathroom beingbeautiful in first room so spacious but the bed was Sooo bad, lying downtrying to sleep and we couldn't handle it we had to change rooms at2am on the first night. When we changed rooms my boardies were left inthe first room and next day I asked if they could please get it. But therooms were already remade and there was no trace of them again... Theywere expensive shorts too. So disappointed that it's now lost. Ionly ever got to wear them on the first day of arriving and then movedrooms and never saw them again. I wouldn't recommend to friends orfamily due to the bed condition. We stayed 4 nights and we have bothleft with the worst back and neck pain.

Review 35：I had a wonderful experience, the reception staff were like the rest of the staff fantastic, but Ashley Harvey blew me away she remembered me by name and made the stay great. The staff made the stay memorable the rooms were great and the beach theme was carried in a pleasant happy approach not tacky like many of the places on the coast. Highly recommended.

Review 36：My husband wasnt allowed in the Bar due to his leg tattoo, I have a 1/2 sleeve & was told I could go in..... told he had to put pants on but travelling light from Melb we didnt bring any. So rather than eat/drink at the hotel we went out everyday, maybe revise that & you may get more customers.

The foyer was open and fun but loud music made it difficult to hear staff at check-in. When I request a higher floor at booking, I do not appreciate being given level 3 especially when the hotel is obviously not full.

Review 54：The air con in the room did not cool the room down, we had difficulty falling asleep because it was so hot and we didn't have a window or balcony to let any fresh air in. We booked at Bazarre for 630pm and there was no food left and they weren't replaced as more people walked in, we were looking forward to eating here but the food wasn't there to enjoy at 630pm.

Review 59：I would not pay to stay here again because it is completely pointless having such a great hotel to have it ruined by terrible customer service on arrival and departure. The staff at the check in desk were rude, unhelpful and deliberately went against my wishes twice; first signing me up to something I had said I did not want and secondly, they charged the wrong card at the end of the booking saying it had to be on the same card used on the original reservation (this later transpired to be a lie having spoken to the manager about this situation). They further charged me the wrong amount trying to charge $179 for the night instead of $149.20. Where they had gotten this figure from I don't know. During all this not once did I receive an apology for the mistakes they had made or the inconvenience it had caused. The only positive comment I can make about the staff is in regard to the man working on the concierge desk who could not do enough to help.

Review 60：The hotel itself was amazing, the pool was great and the rooms were spacious and clean. No complaints there at all. It's in a fantastic location and it looks great from the second you walk in.

Review 61：Not a great place to stay if you have vertigo. The 19th floor made me a little dizzy when standing on the balcony. This place is super funky and not for those that like somewhere classic and understated.

Review 62：The view, the bed (SO comfy), the closeness to the beach, the decor (some amazing touches), the shower, the toiletries, the food, the lobby shop... I could go on and on!

Review 63：Room had worn items like the light fittings etc. The shower didn't have much power behind it (took forever to shower because of this) and when you turned the taps on to generate more water the pipes would make terrible high pitched noises. It would have been great to have a drawer or shelf for toiletries. The bathroom spout leaked water when you turned it on. The drapes, while eliminating the majority of the sunlight from the early hours of the morning, still failed to black out the room and we had to put a towel on the floor in front of the door to stop the hallway light coming into our room.

Review 64：The location was fantastic. Easy access to beach and Surfers Paradise restaurants and cafes. Bazaar restaurant was wonderful and the gentleman who waited on us was wonderful and attentive. Only sorry we didn't make it to breakfast as was recommended to us by several people. Despite some of the things we didn't like, it was a great weekend away to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

Restaurant on site was incredible, old style market style with the most delicious array of meats, cheeses, seafood, deserts and more. Bedroom balcony was the perfect size for one person to lay on with the assortment of cushions provided.

Little did I know, that there was a conference room on the 22nd floor, and the people going in and out were very noisy from early-on. One tip, don't ask for top or bottom floors, floors 9-21 are ideal.

For example there are a number of pieces of metal furniture in rooms and common areas to keep with their funky retro theme. Most of it was rusted and tired. Common areas were dusty and dirty. It's almost as if you're supposed to look past the detail and be wowed by the surroundings.

On checkout there was no asking of how the stay was, did we find everything ok etc When I corrected her on the fact that we didn't end up have the breakfast she was quite rude and snappy and huffed that she had to re print the bill. There was no explanation of the breakdown of the bill especially the car parking fees and the $5 charge for using a credit card ?? The room was very small for the price, there was a coffee machine yet no coffee or tea making facilities to actually have a coffee? You couldn't swing a cat in the bathroom as it was so small and the balcony was not cleaned and full of cigarette butts. Overall a disapointment as a it was a special birthday weekend for my Husband.

Review 123：the first impression of the hotel was funky and cool and a good vibe. The Stingray bar was fun but closed too early.

Review 124：Main area downstairs restricted when there was an event on for which we didn't know about until we arrived back at the hotel. The bar is obviously very popular with non residents so was very busy and noisy which put us off having a quiet night cap before bed.

The blonde ladyat reception also said 'I wasn't rude, I speak to you like Ispeak to everyone else'.

We did not argue about leaving yet the bouncer grabbed my friend by the arm (who it tiny) and started dragging her out. We felt this very offensive and unnecessary and it ruined the rest of our evening as we had planned the whole wknd there. To be continued.. I will be calling to discuss further and make a complaint! Also the balcony was filthy.. Had no seating and cigarette butts everywhere!
