Reviews for Noboribetsu Sekisui Tei

Review 1:Location. Bus only stop in certain time in front of the hotel. Advisable to check the bus time schedule with hotel staff.

Review 2:The Japanese room is suitable for family with small kid. Breakfast and dinner are good and have variety of choices.

Review 3:Stayed 3 nights so food became repetitious - still lovely though. Sleeping on mattresses on floor was nice to try but think 2 nights stay would've been enough.

Review 4:Great Japanese experience. Baths and food great. Location to attractions good too.

Review 5:Although the location is not that perfect, they provide shuttle buses from the airport and to the airport(and to the Sapporo city), so it's not a big deal. If you take a cap from the hotel to the JR station, it costs not that much.

Review 6:You can enjoy Kaiseki-dish with a reasonable price. Spa was quite big and comfortable. It also provides some amenities. Breakfast was good, too. I stayed one night with my family, so the staff kindly prepared Japanese-style-bed after dinner.

Review 7:+Free shuttle bus from and to Sapporo. Saves us a lot of travel fares for 4 pax. + Hotel Onsens + The Half-board Buffet dinner and breakfast included in ou room price. A wide selection, especially the dinner.

Review 8:The Japanese style room was spacious for our family of 5. I especially like the small arm-chair area that was near to the window. We were able to sit there to admire the falling snow. The hotel though comfortable was a bit far from the town. However, the local bus stops are just at the entrance of the hotel. We selected Sekisuitei primarily for it's private onsen that we could reserve for a 50min session for about 3200+yen. The shuttle service from the Domestic Terminal Airport also made it easy to get to the hotel. We then booked a trip back to the Sapporo Station.

Review 9:- Room's door is not safety, it does not have inner lock. Hotel staff or others can open your room anytime - Location is far from bus station, but has bus stop in front of hotel (if you miss thebus you have to wait for next bus about 1hr.)

Review 10:Onsen and dinner are good.

Review 11:Located a bit far away from the main street (around 15 mins walk). Good hot spring facilities. Dinner is delicious with many choices. Breakfast is so-so.

Review 12:Awful buffet. I have to arrange my own transport even though emailed tothe hotel months earlier on the shuttle bus service from Sapporo. Noresponse was given. On the check in day, 2 minutes before the bus aboutto leave, someone call me to ask my whereabouts? I don't even knowthe location to board the shuttle bus since no response and directionsgiven by the hotel.

Review 13:Good hot spring facilities.

Review 14:We choose the dinner & breakfast included. The dinner was average while breakfast such a disappointment. The breakfast served between 7-9am. We went there around 8.30am but there were not much food left as the hotel staff do not replenish food from the already limited selection. The 'chef' at omelette counter was extremely rude and refused to take order even way before breakfast closed...unbelievable!

Review 15:Really impressed with fast response from the hotel on last-minute airport transfer arrangement (morning of the check-in day) as didn't realise pre-booking is necessary except it costs 500yen /pax despite many reviews stated it's free. Though shuttle transfer to Sapporo is indeed free and partly reason that I picked this hotel in first place. The Japanese room is huge even for family of four and totally enjoy the onsen.

Review 16:Stay for 2 nights, the food is buffet but using the same menu both day. Nothing new to try on the second day dinner.

Review 17:Room is a bit small but good separate for bath, toilet & bed room. There are 6 size of onsen that you can try 3 indoor & 3 outdoor.

Review 18:We stayed here for 1 night. Hotel staffs were polite and friendly, service was good, dinner and breakfast buffet were excellent. Onsen was fun. There are indoors and outdoors onsen to choose from. Overall we had a great time here.

Review 19:1. Actually I can't feel air-conditioning is running at the room (even I had requested to change to another room). 2. Room's finishing is a bit out-dated. 3. NO wifi or even LAN connection in the room.

Review 20:The receptionist can understand little english and clear expression that not like to talk with forign customers. They come in to make the bed when I 'm not in the room (while onsen) that I leave my belonging and money pocket inside.

Review 21:Delicious dinner and breakfast. Good room and onsen.

Review 22:Some area seems to be old and outdated, like the door lock.

Review 23:The hotel is clean and comfortable, including the room, restaurant and the hot bath (both public and private). The food choices and quality in both breakfast and dinner buffet are very good. The free shuttle bus service to and from Sapporo is great!

Review 24:My husband & I stayed there for 2 nights, we didn't expect there would be such large numbers of tour groups. It was very crowded during dinner time , queuing was necessary. They provided same menu for each night. If you are looking for good quality of service then this is not a place to be .

Review 25:Onsen was nice

Review 26:The hotel should put more effort in putting English signs since not all guests are locals. There was just one incident that caused anxiety to myself and my friend. We checked out around 9:15AM because the transfer to airport is at 10:00AM. The guy at the reception desk was very accommodating and really tried to speak English which we appreciated and he said the boarding for the bus would start at 9:40-9:45 so we just stayed at the lobby, where the internet is available and it's really slow. So when we saw people lining up, everyone was speaking Japanese and we saw the guy who checked us out from the front desk outside talking to someone (maybe the bus driver). Then we saw an orange bus. He was announcing something in Japanese. My friend showed our laminated stub for transfer to airport and he told her to wait, and so we waited there in the lobby with other passengers, who are obviously not bound for the airport. The same guy was also in the lobby announcing something in Japanese, maybe paging some missing passengers to go to the orange bus. We were right there in front of him and when my friend heard "airport" we asked him "airport?" then he said yes and it turned out we were the missing passengers! We were the only non-locals and he didn't even think to page our names or say "For New Chitose Airport". We almost didn't make it to our flight at 1130 to connect to Haneda because the bus was painfully slow we arrived at 1110. This caused much hyperacidity and stress.

Review 27:This was the last leg of our vacation and we decided a little R&R is in order after the Snow Festival. I chose this hotel because of the free transfer from Sapporo Station and free transfer to New Chitose Airport. The check in was seamless. There was a staff in a yellow jacket whom we approached in Sapporo station and she checked our names on her list. We were given a seat number and our room number assignment. When we arrived there was a long queue for keys but their staff were efficient. We were given stubs for our buffet dinner, buffet breakfast, and airport transfer. We're lucky to have been placed in a building where the hot springs are, we're on the 4th floor and it's on the 7th floor. We loved our Japanese style room, it had everything we needed. The toilet was separate from the shower and bath which we didn't mind at all. Their dinner buffet was excellent! Lots of choices and the steak was tender and tasty. Their breakfast buffet was just so-so and I didn't eat that much. Their hot springs were soothing and we didn't get to try the semi outdoor ones 'cause it was freezing cold outside.

Review 28:nice outdoor bath with snow in the beginning of January. Japanese style breakfast and Dinner are included. Buffet is very good for dinner if you don't know where to eat. 15-20 mins walk to Noboribetsu Jikokudani and souvenir shops. Free Hotel limousine bus from hotel to Sapporo Station!!! That helps a lot!!

Review 29:Hotel agent at Sapporo is rude to tourists who don't speak their language. Staff at front desk (though not all) should be more approachable. Japanese are well-known for their customer service, so it's strange that my first 2 contact with Sekisui Tei's staff turn out to be sub-standard.

Review 30:Location is a bit way off the bus stop but with the shuttle provided, it is not really an issue. Onsen is good. Waiter/waitress at the restaurant is friendly and polite.

Review 31:seems they have different food options but did not show on booking nor explain at the front desk, not that user-friendly for foreign tourists

Review 32:free airport coach arrangement and of course very much depends on your flight arrival time

Review 33:the quilt is too short for a standard male adult. (this happened in most Japanese Style hotels we stayed) the dinner and breakfast buffet has got a lot of different kinds of food, but they are not delicious

Review 34:room is spacious, looks good, the hotel have 24 hr onsen

Review 35:The condition of the room is too simple and a little bit outdated. Each room only has one key which makes us very inconvenient when we both go to onsen, the one who do not holding the key cannot go back to room.

Review 36:Providing free shuttle buses is convenient to customers. The location is very close to the main sightseeing spot 'Hell Valley" to which tourist must go. The natural hot spring water is wonderful especially the out-door onsen. The buffet breakfast and dinner are amazing. Must including the breakfast and dinner when you book this hotel.

Review 37:1.Bathroom is very small , just have a small space to stand and the bathtub is abnormal size, very small. 2.Quality of food is lower than expected. 3.Everything should be renovated.

Review 38:1.Location is O.K. 2.Bustop is in front of the hotel.

Review 39:Buffet was ok but expected more food selection.

Review 40:Very good location surrounded by hills and amazing fresh air. Personnel is nice, friendly and helpfull. Free shuttle bus to Sapporo and airport. Private baths are available.

Review 41:The restaurant was too small to accomodate all the guests at dinner, so there was a very long queue just to have dinner. The hotel was quite old n worn.

Review 42:The staff was very friendly. Buffet dinner n breakfast was excellent & satisfying.

Review 43:The variety of food and quality is high but not the best in this hotel. The room size is acceptable but can be tight for more than two persons. Other than these, this is definitely an above average hotel, and value for money.

Review 44:The staff was attentive and very helpful at every point of need. The room is very clean and well equipped with the basics. The onsen is one of the best part of this hotel, but to cap it all, it is one of the hotel located closest to the natural spring foot bath at the back of the hotel. We only discovered it after walking through Hell Valley and to the hot spring lake only to come one round to find the foot bath so near the hotel. The foot bath is well structured with logs for sitting and log tables to place your things while you sit on the sides. Very unique experience!
