Reviews for Takasaki Washington Hotel Plaza
Review 1:The rooms are tiny and the beds are really hard. It's fine if you're passing through and tired enough to sleep anywhere, or if you like really solid beds and hard pillows, but otherwise it would be best to avoid no matter how close to Takasaki Station it is.
Review 2:Rooms are a bit more spacious than most of the business hotels in Japan, which was nice. Clean. Located 3 mins from the station, we used it as a base to visit the Hiroshi Senju museum in Karuizawa. And: we were inside our room during the big earthquake, and all was fine luckily!
Review 3:Areas of my room were dirty, especially in the bathroom. The shower tiles were discolored and looked as though they hadn't been cleaned thoroughly in a while.
Review 4:Location was very convenient, right next to the station and bus terminal. The room was also very spacious.
Review 5:Stuffy room, unable to open the window for fresh air.
Review 6:Excellent location within a few minutes of Takasaki station and surrounded by plenty of restaurant options. Clean, functional room except for the window.
Review 7:none
Review 8:location and good front desk service
Review 9:In my opinion.. The elevator was a bit dirty...
Review 10:Clean...
Review 11:None at all
Review 12:Very near JR Takasaki station and within walking distances are several good restaurants
Review 13:Excellent location. Friendly staff with some English.
Review 14:Bed too hard and small. And location inconvenient for Karuizawa.
Review 15:The breakfast booking arrangement at this hotel on Booking.com was a bit confusing. I'm still not sure if I paid or did not pay for the breakfast buffet. I remember ticking the breakfast option and so the rates increased. However, when I enquired with the hotel, they said it wasn't been paid for. Although, in the booking confirmation receipt, it mentioned breakfast buffet at 1,050, yen per person per day. So, I suggest you look closely while making reservations at this hotel along with the breakfast buffet.
Review 16:The location of the hotel is very close to the Takasaki train station and the area is lively with dozens of shops, eateries and supermarket stores. The rooms were clean and very comfy. Good breakfast spread at the Paris-themed restaurent on the 1st floor.
Review 17:The carpet in the dining room was badly stained, very unlike Japan!
Review 18:This was the last of four hotels on our holiday in Japan and , was the smallest twin room but still fine, comfy beds, tiny bathroom. The breakfast was fine, we kept to the bacon, eggs, salmon and rolls. Good location to a supermarket and food mall with microwave, close enough to bring hot food back to our room for a quick meal. Close to two great art galleries.
Review 19:For the price, the hotel was a really good deal. The room was clean andnot too small, compared to other hotels in Japan. It was also right nextto jr Takasaki station, which is convenient.
Review 20:Sofas in the foyer were very worn.
Review 21:Very handy to the station.
Review 22:it was nice to stay at this hotel its next to the station and it was possible for an extra pay to have an earlier check in
Review 23:Booking's map hotel location. We walk aroud an hour to find the place because your map is wrong. The hotel is close to station.
