Reviews for Suite 39
Review 1:The location, the place, the staff were incredible. Especially Laura (except she's incredibly hot) she helped us a lot! Big thanks :))) this place is amazing perfect value for money
Review 2:Great location in centre of Salerno, parking available by arrangement. Decor was great, spacious room, tea/coffee. Bathroom was great especially the shower. A gem of a find - highly recommended.
Review 3:The shower didn't drain properly.
Review 4:The lady at the front counter stayed late to met us after our train was late getting in. She was extremely helpful and made some great recommendations on things to see and do in Salerno.
Review 5:Extremely clean place! Friendly staff. Breakfast was brought to the room and they made arrangements for my gluten & dairy free diet. I would definitely come back!!!
Review 6:Quite a distance to train station, No clear signboard of the hotel. You have to look out for unit # 39 along the street.
Review 7:Very clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed. Wonderful breakfast. We love their croissant so much!! The staffs are very friendly and helpful. We can leave baggages at reception and they will keep the bags in our room when the room is ready.
Review 8:From the outside the place looks a little dingy but that all disappears once out of the lift.
Review 9:Owner does not live in but reception was manned morning and evening on our 1 day visit and were exceedingly helpful and even called the ferry company and printed off bus timetable. Fast, clear replies to emails and telephone. Our 2 rooms looked newly refurbished to a very high standard with delightful bathroom. Aircon included in rate. No breakfast room so your pre-selected items (incl half decent coffee) delivered to your room at your chosen time. Located on busy main straight. 7 minute walk to sea front and restaurants. 15 mins to local ferry pier and rail terminal and car rental places. I don't think they have single or twin beds in any of the 6 rooms.
Review 10:Good location, Salerno has the historical end and the newer end, this property is located in the middle. The room was spacious and the bathroom good. Good air conditioning. Staff were very helpful in planning what to do in Salerno and for our visit to Herculaneum, Amalfi and to do the walk of the gods, all must doos!!
Review 11:No breakfast room, breakfast was delivered on a tray to your room, that seems nice except croissant make a lot of crumbs.
Review 12:Nice modern room, good location for sea front walk
Review 13:Access is odd, as it's on the 4th floor of a normal building. The elevator is the size of a shoebox and when i came back after dinner, it was filled with garbage bags and other trash from other floors I assume. I kicked it out of the way and soldiered on, but one person with a couple bags is all it will fit when empty.
Review 14:The room was nice and it's a small place. The staff communicated with me prior to to make sure they were there on my late arrival. Breakfast was lovely and served in the room. Barbara had late night dinner options mapped out for me when I arrived. Easy walk down the hill to entertainment and food. Easy walk to ferry.
Review 15:Maybe the wi-fi connection could be improved.
Review 16:Everything was great, the room is very nice, service is kind and effective and the quality of the breakfast is high.
Review 17:Would like to have had a shelf in the bathroom. Not enough room around the sink for me. At least one English speaking program would have been nice.
Review 18:Perfect location for exploring the Amalfi Coast. Close to bus stop/ train station and ferries. Very helpful staff and very clean and modern rooms.
Review 19:The hotel locate in 4th flor privte building wish make the access even harder. elevators was too small.
Review 20:location was perfect! Just awalking distance from the shopping area, the sea and the old city. The girls in the reception were very nice ,polite and really welcome to help us. rooms were clean with a very good athmosphere.
Review 21:You can hear everything that's going on in the hallway outside your room. The wifi is also not very reliable. If you have a lot of luggage, the elevator is definitely too small. The bed is rock hard and thin.
Review 22:It was a lovely b&b. It's on the 4th floor of an office building, so its secure. Its also close to the tourist port, the train station, and the main shopping street. The shower is incredible.
Review 23:Very nice and helpfull staff (spesial thanks to Laura), quiet and tidy room, possibility to leave luggage, close to downtown, seaside and railway station
Review 24:The Wi-Fi connection was unreliable & slow but given all the rest that was perfect I wouldn't make much of a fuss about it.
Review 25:Impeccable customer service from the moment of the reservation, through the early check-in and the pleasant call to advise me so upfront for the possibility, excellent welcoming and provision of various needed information. I'm a vegan so I left the choice to the receptionist to choose my menu for my breakfast and I have to tell you my day was an amazing one afterwards. My room was clean and well made, the bathroom with no spot in it and I had a nice vie towards a garden. Big YES from me.
Review 26:Nothing...
Review 27:This B&B is great. We need to leave early in the morning and they prepared breakfast package for us. Room was really clean and Wi-Fi was perfect. It is 10 min walk to train station. We will definitely stay there next time.
Review 28:Perhaps what I'm about to say is not within the hotel's responsibility at all: we've hired a scooter for the amalfi cost the second day, since we stayed just for one day we checked out in the morning and left the luggage. On our way back from Positano to Salerno, it rained and thundered really scarily. Since neither my boyfriend and I had rode a scooter much, it had been a truly dangerous trip. Every time we turned around it felt that we'd slip and rush right into the sea. When we came back we were certainly wet and cold as hell. We would've appreciated so much and pay as much as it took to have a hot water shower. However, she turned down nearly almost every request my boyfriend raised, no shower because all the rooms were occupied but that we understood. What we did not understand was she said they did not have any towel and room for us to change, no hot water whatsoever, and we can't stay since she was about to go home. I spoke Italian, probably that was why she eventually allow us to use their staff bathroom, where we saw towel and anyway used their hot water to warm our heir and hands. Again we acknowledge that we were no longer their guests in theory we should not be allowed anything, probably. However, it really felt miserable when you just survived from such a storm and couldn't count on any help. This did not influce my rating for them anyway.
Review 29:Almost everything. Location perfect, excellent room, great breakfast. Laura has been very helpful the first day.
Review 30:This was a fabulous apartment! I cannot fault it, staff were excellent, we got to choose our breakfast, and the room was fantastic. Excellent location.
Review 31:You can hear everything. You hear clearly how people in the corridor at 12am cannot open the door with the key. For 30 mins. The key and the lock - it's so difficult to use together (the hostess finally came and saved them within 3 sec). You hear constant flow of water in the walls; when people wake up in the neighboring room and what they'd like to mangiare in the morning.
Review 32:Good location, close to Lungomare and Centro Storico. Lovely interior; clean room. Friendly and helpful staff. Paid parking (Giovanni!) 200m around the corner. Breakfast is charming, but not abundant - you choose from the list what you want tomorrow, mostly sweets and croissants. Nice balcony.
Review 33:That we cannot award the lady a score of 11
Review 34:We had an excellent stay at Suite 39: The staff made the trip perfect. Ask the sweet lady about (secret) restaurants and good trips around the region, and she will help you with the best advices: She is a real wizard. Also the ice cream parlour a few streets away is wonderful: Just up the street next to Carnella in the walking street.
Review 35:Excellent Bnb hotel. We lived for two nights a month ago here. The girl greeting us is very nice, helpful for any questions. The recommended foods nearby are quite well. When knowing us can not eat the breakfast because of early check out, she prepared a package of breakfast for us to take. Thanks her very much. The room is clean and comfortable. Near to train station or SITA bus station.
Review 36:The only downside was that the shower was a little bit mouldy.
Review 37:We stayed in Salerno as a base for sightseeing the Amalfi. Suite 39 was a fabulous location and the staff were so accommodating! The rooms are very spacious, clean and tidy. We would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to explore the Amalfi.
Review 38:Pillows a little hard for us but that can be personal. Toilet dripped but ok if we shut bathroom door.
Review 39:The staff & owner were so friendly & helpful. The shower & bathroom facilities were excellent. Excellent location.
Review 40:Big spacious room and bathroom. Super comfortable bed. The staff was absolutely great. It's right near the heart of the old quarter and still a close walk to the train station.
Review 41:From arrival to check out, you receive the full service you would expect from a five star hotel. Staff were friendly, professional, polite and available at all times providing excellent service. Clean, comfortable and great location. Perfect for business or leisure
Review 42:It is fantastic modern hotel. Everything is new and clean. All staffs are very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to all transport, like train, ferry, bus, etc so that it is easy to travel to other towns nearby the same day.
Review 43:The only minor complaint was that the bed, although big, was well worn and sloped toward the middle and made it rather uncomfortable to sleep on. But still a good stay for a night or two to visit Salerno.
Review 44:Suite 39 was in the perfect location and was literally 5 - 10 mins walk to everything in Salerno (shopping, seafront, amazing restaurants). On arrival at around 7pm, we had the beautiful Joanna greet us, who was the friendliest and most nicest woman ever. Due to it being a public holiday a lot of parking places were closed and she jumped in the car with us to find a parking space and even helped us out to find parking tickets for the next day by running around and asking Tabbacci shops. The breakfast the next morning which was brought to your room with a wonderful smile was also fantastic.
Review 45:The WiFi was slow sometimes.
Review 46:Rooms are small but spacious and comfy. Very clean. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff was very kind and informative. They even packed my breakfast the day I had to leave early. Highly recommended. It's very near to most places of interest in Salerno (restaurants, pizzerias, shopping centers, the Duomo, museums).
Review 47:The room was very comfortable, with one of the most spacious bathrooms we encountered in Italy. Laura and Giovanna were amazing, friendly, spoke wonderful English, and had lots of great recommendations about Salerno & the Amalfi coast. Breakfast was delivered right to the room and was delicious.
Review 48:The staff here is top notch! They arranged for Giovanni, a cab driver with a clean car and classy manners, to get us to the airport for an early flight amongst many other kindnesses extended by this caring crew. Our room was wonderful, bathroom very modern, slept better in this bed than any other in Italy.
Review 49:The staff were warm, friendly and helpful. There was nothing too much for them in helping us We asked for a quiet room and it was! Printed out train timetables.
Review 50:Nothing except not easy to find road in salerno
Review 51:Free choices of breakfast, modern decorations, spacious and the staff are v. nice. The owowner ecommended good restaurants and i liked his choices.
Review 52:I have nothing bad to say!
Review 53:Antonio and his team could teach a thing or two to the larger hotels! The attention to detail, always making sure we were happy and comfortable, was excellent. I can't compliment Suite 39 enough. It was a wonderful experience and it would be my first choice if I am ever in Salerno again.
Review 54:The photos of the room make it look bigger than it actually is, there is no oulook whatsoever, and Suite 39 is on the 4th floor of a tenement type building, accessed by a very small lift.
Review 55:The room was extremely good value for money.
Review 56:Nothing, wouldn't change a thing.
Review 57:Stayed 3 nights at Suite 39 as our base for trips to the amalfi coast. It was centrally located and a very easy base point and way less touristy than sorrento. We got many recommendations from the helpful staff on where to eat, where to see the sunset, and where to get massages.
Review 58:We had some difficulties with the GPS to find the BB but not the owners fault. Difficult to drive in Salerno!
Review 59:The location, friendliness of the staff and excellent facilities - breakfast in the room! Near the train and bus station.
Review 60:room was moderny designed, clean, very friendly and helpfull staff (they recommend great restaurants for very good prices!!!), good and fresh breakfast (small but enough)
Review 61:The room was noisy with lots of action outside (we were right across from the desk). There were lots of blue lights on in the room, so you need to have a sleeping mask. But these are small things. Overall I would recommend this B&B.
Review 62:Location was great, close to old town and waterfront. Staff was fantastic, very friendly & helpful. Shower was out of this world. Room was smallish, but adequate. Breakfast in the room was very nice touch. The B&B had access to secure parking just around the corner, which is very critical if you are driving.
Review 63:Really beautiful rooms and excellent bathroom. Staff could not be more helpful or friendly. Location perfect. I have never seen such a well-organized and good acommodation in this price range.
Review 64:Staff helped us at every turn. They found us parking, made good restaurant suggestions and were available and knowledgeable about everything we needed. Antonio and Giovanna were outstanding.
Review 65:The hotel is situated on a floor of a building. It is not one of the traditional grounded hotels with reception at 24 hours.
Review 66:Nice location, nice breakfast, comfort big rooms
Review 67:Nothing. All good.
Review 68:All the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable, clean and modern. Great coffee. Very good location, right in the heart of the city. Wi-Fi connection perfect. We were able to leave our bags on the final day as our train didn't depart until the afternoon. All-in-all, a great visit. Strongly recommended.
Review 69:Noisy air conditioning in the building. Breakfast delivered to room .
Review 70:Location is excellent walking distance to Old Town and harbour. Very economical, friendly staff. Clean, modern rooms.
Review 71:There was nothing to complain about.
Review 72:Loved everything about the place. The place was exactly what was shown in the photographs. It was conveniently located and was within walking distance to the train station and city centre. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. They even went out of their way to buy me something that was not on the breakfast menu when they noticed I hadn't touched the breakfast (this was only because I wasn't hungry and NOT because I had any complains about what was served). The room was clean and modern and we loved the bathroom - excellent shower facilities (much better than the shower facilites at 2 hotels we stayed at!) Staying at Suite 39 was better than staying at a hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we would highly recommend this place.
Review 73:Great staff; perfect location; modern and clean room; free toiletries; decent sized TV; great shower; staff were really accommodating of breakfast requests for some lemon with hot water
Review 74:Nothing.
Review 75:The location of the hotel is perfect which allows you to walk around easily. It is also very close to the port (10 mins walk) at which you can take a ferry to Positano/Amalfi. Besides its location, the hotel was very clean and comfortable; the staff was very kind and helpful. I am very happy to meet such nice people.
Review 76:Perfectly situated only a few minutes walk from the train station, Suite39 is a true calm haven. Antonio and Francesca were perfect hosts - supplying very helpful information and hints (such as where to eat the best fish!!!). I had a great time staying there and hope to return some day!
Review 77:I just wish there was some cheese, fruits or something else for breakfast. However it is very generous so don't be discouraged!
Review 78:Antonio was a breath of fresh air, fantastic service, happy to help with everything. The quality of furniture and bathroom fixtures was fantastic! It was a proper shower (which we lacked in Rome) and it was actually quite high end. A/C worked very well (again unlike Rome) Elevator was a big help. Close to the train station. Easy to hop on coastal ferries. It felt like a 4 star hotel at a fantastic price.
Review 79:Of the B&B's we have visited, we experienced this one as the most unpersonal; for us it felt more like a hotel than a B&B (partly caused by the location: part of a floor in a flat). The fact that guests have to fill in a list of breakfast items; the same breakfast is served daily during one's whole stay.
Review 80:This B&B is very new, offers a lot of comfort (good beds, quite a luxurious bathroom), it's very clean and in general the staff is very friendly & helpful. Suite39 has a very central location: right in the centre, it's on walking distance of Salerno bus and train station and near the port from where one can take the ferry to Amalfi and Positano.
Review 81:Very good, cozy rooms! Very nice stuff! Because of the flight we had to check out earlier, they packed lunch for us! They also picked us up from the main station
Review 82:Excellent place to stay. Very good value for money, the staff are exceptional and we loved Antonio's restaurant recommendations. The rooms are very modern and clean with great facilities. Fantastic breakfast with good coffee. Would definitely stay here again.
Review 83:Thanks to Antonio and Giovanna for very friendly service, good recommendations for free time. Very nice place, clean, modern, very well located in the center of Salerno and close to the train station and the promenade, good breakfast. Everything was nice!
Review 84:We cannot fault Suite 39. It is fabulous.
Review 85:We stayed for 8 nights and it was a fantastic experience. The room was spacious, clean and well serviced. Antonio and the team are amazing and could not do enough to help us during our stay. It is more than a B&B and is something unique and special and really felt like our home away from home.
Review 86:The only thing is the rooms are far from sound proof and with the reception located just outside you can hear everyone coming & going.....we felt we had to whisper all the time
Review 87:This b&b is an apartment with the rooms converted in to self-contained units, great base for exploring the amalfi cost, very pretty rooms, clean & comfortable
Review 88:- It is an excellent B&B place located at the 4th floor. However if you like to have a hotel lobby or hotel bar available etc. then you should choose a hotel.
Review 89:- Friendly and helpful staff - Cleanliness and good facilities - Location (near the station, center of the city) - Quiet place for a good sleep - They serve breakfast in the room
Review 90:As above
Review 91:Location, professionalism of staff, sites and restaurant recommendations. Sage and secure buliding. Took impeccably clean . Ability to stores suitcases A few hours on last day prior to travel. Antonio and the lovely gal who works Mornings so accomodating in every way. We will recommend Suite 39 to our friends traveling here.
Review 92:The location was really central, and Suite 39 was cozy and friendly and very new/modern. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. A definite recommend!
We originally planned on stopping in Salerno for one night to rest between towns. However, we adored the town's charm and can't wait to go back. The room was very clean, and the shower was really cool. Antonio (B&B staff) was extremely kind. He helped research information about our bus for the next day's travels and prepared a to-go breakfast because of our early departure. We highly recommend this B&B.
Review 94:Had to stand by the door to have a good WiFi connection.
Review 95:The staff were friendly and extremely helpful, including giving tips on non turistic places to eat.
Review 96:Everything was perfect, the room was clean, the staff was very gentle, the location was close to both the old center and the train station, the breakfast was good, all for a good price.
Review 97:The walls are a bit thin, so you can hear others. It wasn't a problem for us though, and hopefully not for our neighbors either. If you are a light sleeper bring earplugs.
Review 98:Great location, brand new and sparkling clean facilities and breakfast brought to your room each morning.
Review 99:This is the best hotel in which I have ever been. New, fresh, clean and with a beautiful design. Everything fully consistent with the photo. Perfect location in the center of the city and near the railway station just 7 minutes by walk. The shower is large and comfortable, the internet is fast, very good breakfasts. And the most important thing is the people who works at this B&B!!! Very friendly, willing to help in everything! Always prompt, where and how to drive, advise restaurants and tours, places to visit. I was traveling alone, and thanks to them I felt like at home! Many thanks to Antonio, Giovanna and Dariel, you're the best! Would recommend this hotel from with all my heart!
Review 100:The door of our room was right off the main entrance, so it was a little noisy when people came in later in the evening.
Review 101:The bed was very comfortable and there was a nice, large shower, unlike many Italian hotels.
Review 102:It was brand new (it opened 10 days before our arrival). We took a guess while reserving because there were no reviews. We couldn't have made a better choice. The staff was excellent. They were there to help us find anything we wanted. They were always smiling and kind. The room was modern and so clean. Internet was the best I hade during my entire stay in Europe (6 weeks). The breakfast was excellent like all the other things. If we return to Salerno, we will definitely return there!!
Review 103:The location of this is just suburb, it's close to connectingtrains, bus and ferries. Antonio and his staff was just so helpful andever so kind, made our stay an even more unforgettable experience. Iwould strongly Reconmend this place .. Couldn't fault it at all.
Review 104:I found them exceptionally helpful and friendly.
Review 105:Disco shower. Best we've had in our travels.
Review 106:Nice room, clean room, and wonderful people in the reception. Fine location.
Review 107:Everything! Location, cleanliness, price and staff :)
Review 108:Modern, clean and functional
Review 109:No.
Review 110:Good location and nice room.
Review 111:The single room is small, but the bathroom is large with modern design.
Review 112:The staff is fantastic...and breakfast brought to the room!
Review 113:Wonderful B&B!! Staff was excellent and even waited for us after normal check in. Loved this place and will stay here again!!
Review 114:nothing
Review 115:great location, excellent service. very clean. excellent shower.
Review 116:Very clean and modern room. Lovely staff who would do all they could to make your stay comfortable and stress free.
