Reviews for Siesta Villa

Review 1:The continental breakfast was a bit poor, especially on January 1st: only apple juice full of ice cubes and no yogurt. :(

Review 2:The room with balcony was spacious with an original layout. The view on the lake was amazing. The staff was friendly and welcoming. Would happily go back there!

Review 3:I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The location was perfect, apart from being out of town, close to the bush walks that I wanted to do. Will return.

Review 4:The speed stoppers (speed bumps), if you have anything lower than a standard falcon, good luck at getting past reception. Room sounds, I could hear the people 2 rooms down fairly clearly, a bit of sound deadening would go a long way, and finally, a buzzer at the front desk.

Review 5:The views were great, could see the water from my balcony and completely unobstructed from the bar/restaurant, the dinner staff were excellent and regularly came by to see if I needed anything. Location, 5 minute drive to town for everything! 30 mins to thredbo.

Review 6:Very poor decoration. Curtains falling apart. No dining facilities available on the night we visited. Lighting very poor in the room. Location was about 5km from main town. Actually in East Jindabyne not Jindabyne.

Review 7:The bathroom was great with a good shower. Friendly check in.

Review 8:I unfortunately booked at the time that the restaurant was being renovated. But apart from that I was very happy.

Review 9:I loved the whole stay, the view, the bed was so comfy, the furnishings are beautiful.

Review 10:No bad experiences.

Review 11:Quite location, clean, good parking, friendly staff, buffet breakfast, value for money. Within easy driving distance of town and ski areas.

Review 12:Dinner was a bit expensive for the food that we ordered

Review 13:Good spot from town, great view from the room, breakfast was great, room stayed warm whilew we went to the snow

Review 14:Only issue was the hot water in shower went cold a few times during showers.

Review 15:The great common area - fireplaces, lounges, pool table, bar and restaurant! The whole package and a real nice chilled area to hang out in and meet others.

Review 16:We arrived at 2am on Saturday morning and staff were very helpful in getting us the key. Included breakfast is good and helpful as we didn't have time to get our own food. Staff were very friendly throughout our whole stay.

Review 17:Thin walls between rooms, shower had poor water pressure and appeared to be impacted by other rooms having showers, really creaky floor and no heaters available to dry snow gear overnight

Review 18:The manager is rude and arrogant. Dinner booking made with staff only to be dishonoured by him at 8pm so too late to find an alternative in town. His response was to snarl at me that I was ridiculous to assume that I could make a booking on the same day and that my 10 year old son should be in bed by that time anyway! Needless to say my family went to bed hungry and very upset that night. Coupled with that debacle, the rooms whilst clean, are old and worn out. The bathroom was mouldy and the shower ran alternately freezing then scalding. I wondered in fact if the hot water temperature is even regulated to standards because of the extreme heat of the water. There are bands which also play which is not advised on check in - expect lots of noise from them and their drunken patrons giving you sleepless nights on a Friday

Review 19:The toilet door was frosted glass and could see through it lol. No wifi in the room. can't really complain about anything else

Review 20:Got a good price on our room. Room was nice. Staff were friendly. 30min drive to snowfields. Breakfast was nice and the cook was super friendly.

Review 21:Can't complain. In process of upgrading. Keep up the good work

Review 22:Staff were amazing and went above and beyond. Great food. Comfy big bed. Definitely got money's worth

Review 23:Loved the comfortable king size bed and hotel crisp white linen. Room nice and spacious. Very quiet. The restaurant was convenient and nice food. Lovely open fires in the bar, lounge and restaurant. Great price.

Review 24:Dinner was late other people who ordered way after us got the there meals way before us. Heating wasnt very good and made the loudest noises through the night so my girlfriend couldnt sleep.told staff twice blamed it on the plumber couldn't get one. Shower flooded staff even gave us towels to make a barrier so water wouldnt run out of the room

Review 25:there was a noise coming from the ceiling which wike mw every hour. some water flow or something. very annoying.

Review 26:friendly staff. excellent food and services.

Review 27:The bathroom was a very small plastic room, fan in the bathroom did not work and the water in the shower kept going cold and turned on and off throughout the shower. There was in-floor heating, however the room was still too cold and we were not allowed to adjust it.

Review 28:The location next to the lake was nice and it was not a long drive from Nuggets Crossing.

Review 29:Bed was very uncomfortable! Upon arrival there could have been more info about the facilities at siesta villa ie; shuttle bus we didn't know there was a courtesy bus

Review 30:Beautiful sitting area with fireplace and outdoor tables. Staff were very welcoming and happy and keen to help with anything.

Review 31:We paid more than $400 a night the fan in the shower was dirty from a very long time the room was really basic not even toiletries, walls are like paper wall. Breakfast nothing really extraordinary. We asked extra toilet paper and the person just barely gave us 1 unit only. For the price we paid we were expecting much much better. Just to mention we staid in Sydney at Shangri la for $540 a night with breakfast and the view of the harbor bridge and Opera House. Thats worth it !!!!!!!

Review 32:The problem we had was listening to neighbours all night- not much insulation between rooms. And very windy with loose downpipes n doirs banging all night

Review 33:The only thing I would say that is slightly negative was that the walls are thin and could here the banging around of other guests in the next rooms and outside.

Review 34:Quality customer service! They were all very helpful, super friendly and welcoming. Atmosphere was great, the food was amazing and the rooms were cosy and warm. I definitely would go back.

Review 35:Room in dire need of refurbishment. Very noisy neighbours all night and unable to contact mgt after 9pm unless in an emergency with a $25 fee.

Review 36:Great bar and outdoor deck, very cosy and warm dining area, friendly staff.

Review 37:The staff at Siesta Villa's were very helpful and accommodating. My partner has a gluten intolerance (she's glutarded) and they went out of their way to ensure that the breakfast met her needs. East Jindabyne is also a good base to enjoy a weekend at the snow.

Review 38:Absolutely loved the location, right on the lake just a short drive from Jindy town but it was nice to be somewhere quiet, serenity plus! Heated floors in rooms were amazing.

Review 39:There was a problem with the plumbing so had to shower in another room but staff were very accomodating. I'm sure the plumbing will be fixed before our next visit. Definitely staying again.

Review 40:Staff are awesome, location awesome. We had the newly renovated room with u der floor heating.

Review 41:Poorly maintained public area facilities, especially the reception entrance, caused me to fall and injure myself on the first day.

Review 42:The staff and the food was good, the rooms were well heated and clean.

Review 43:The room was an odd layout (no privacy in the loo!) and very basic. Dinner was below average for the cost and really expected more from the room for the price.

Review 44:Beautiful location!

Review 45:The rooms were heated well *but* it would be useful to have a small space heater, just so gloves and boots can be dried out properly. Also the bathrooms would benefit from a bit of ventilation of some kind.

Review 46:The location and views are lovely. The staff were great.

Review 47:Sometimes at breakfast the plates weren't cleared so we didn't know where to sit

Review 48:Banter and chats with the staff were awesome. Everyone seemed relaxed and friendly

Review 49:Door holder was halfway broken in our room. It did not have enough car parking spaces.

Review 50:Staff are friendly, flexible and nice to all guests. They tried their best to provide what guests requested.

Review 51:Not much

Review 52:The staff were very friendly, the owners took time to talk to us. We were able to hand over our baby steriliser to the kitchen and they accomodate using their microwave with no questions asked. The best part was the restaurant stone dining cook your own food on a hot stone the food is fresh nice seafood and steak to top it off we had all the desert they were bloody amazing semifredo salted caramel or sticky date pudding. Yum

Review 53:Not many room facilities for price paid. No table. Shampoo & conditioner not separate. Cups not washed. Towels not replaced. No tissues. No bedside light on rhs. Wash basin too small. Unable to properly fill kettle. No hooks in bathroom. Pool table should be free for hotel guests.

Review 54:Location only. Friendly service.

Review 55:Breakfast was not a good one. Hot milk is something everyone wants for a coffee in the morning which I couldn't find. Totally breakfast was very very basic.

Review 56:Block out curtains didn't close properly and let light in through the worn parts. Pillows could have been a bit plumper

Review 57:Super friendly management . Breakfast was ample. Modern updated bathroom , shower pressure fantastic heated floors made for a cosy room

Review 58:No sauces to go with tea cups. Alos Brekkie pretty average with choice of ceral or toast, apple juice and instant coffee.

Review 59:The waitress that served us dinner was great. The dinner itself average. The wine she recommended great adn good price for a restaurant.

Review 60:We liked the convenience of being close to the function we needed to attend. I know major renovations are taking place at Siesta Villa and it can only get better with time and a lot of money. Would stay there again if necessary.

Review 61:Room was tired & dated.

Review 62:watching the sunset from the deck & restaurant. brand new bathroom fitout - was lovely. views from the room were good too.

Review 63:Certainly not what we expected on arrival. Seista villa is a very run down property that seems to be run by a one man show. No screens on door. Varndah was none ex distinct. You step outside down a step then into the dirt. We were promised a verandah and veiws. Not our room. The rooms are very worn. The bathroom was new which was nice but room service means the beds were pulled up. The bathroom was nit cleaned nor was the coffe we used repkaced for the next morning. Quite stuffy when you cant open the door because the march flies and bugs get in. The sliding slso dont close properly so the breeze and bugs can still come through. Very basic accommodation. On arrivalwe were told they had a 21st and our room had been changed. That the rerestaurant wouldnt be available to us as they would be to busy. That wasnt nice after traveling 5hrs with young children. We had to settle in then go into jindabyne for dinner. The restaurant wasnt open agin for the rest of the long weekend. Breakfast was included. It was coffee juice toast and cereal. we will not be staying here again. We were lucky I guess that it was summer. I would hate to spend any time there in winter.

Review 64:We loved getting away and exploring jindabyne and surrounding areas.

Review 65:Located on the shore of Lake Jindabyne and having stayed in the family lake view room with private balcony and spa bath made our stay perfect. Continental breakfast was good as we visited in summer, the restaurant offers good food too and having dinner outside on the deck with the sunset over the lake was stunning. Natalie took care of us and always making sure that our stay was an enjoyable one. Definitely recommend Siesta Villa.

Review 66:they could blow the leaves & dirt away from the front door

Review 67:Off the road, great views, easy going staff, excellent dinner, great wine. good value for money

Review 68:Three couples. On arrival we were given rooms that did not meet our expectations, the initial impression was one of disappointment,

Review 69:The proprietors were friendly and understood when we decided not to stay for the second night and said we would have our money refunded I do hope that this is correct and await its return. The young couple are trying hard by painting the rooms although they do not finish each room e.g. the doors were not painted some of the ceilings not completed. The bathrooms were modern and clean, the beds comfy with clean linen.

Review 70:Bathroom was dirty ?not shore if had been cleaned arived 5,15 pm earlier than expected only to be told as booking in ,good glad you are here closing office now ,advised open till 7 pm ,in our room then door opened/had given our room key to other people as well ! Not good ! No screen on balcony door ,room so hot from under floor heating could not open door anymore than 1 inch ,safety wise ,could see other peoples rooms no privacy from balconys ,breakfast no choice of drinks ,orange only , no water either ,milk warm and yogurt only sitting on try of ice cubes ,not enough for eveyone who came to breakfast and no one to ask ,when manager arived never replaced or asked if anyone wanted Bad management. Had own children rideing there bikes up and back on top floor in front of all doors at 6-7am in morning waking everyone up ,not good at all ,will never be back and should be offered a refund !!!

Review 71:The view and location near lake was lovely

Review 72:We stayed in one of their "last available rooms" which was very old in decor etc. so would suggest you request one of their better rooms. This being the case the price we payed for our room was a bit high, particularly at the late end of the season

Review 73:The staff were friendly and showed genuine interest in making your stay better. The location is amazing, great food and drink prices with a stunning view overlooking the lake, particularly at sunset

Review 74:Bit far out of town, only place is restaurant in hotel and 8km out of town means have to drive to get anywhere else. Spa (water jets) needed a good clean out and the fire place leaked gas.. So was to dangerous to turn on. Staff did try to help as much as they could though.

Review 75:Room was big and spacious. Good view out of the windows over the lake towards the mountains. Fireplace and spa was nice.

Review 76:1.Bread was not presented well at buffet breakfast, everyone is grabbing it from the plastic packaging which is unhygienic 2. No hairdryer in bedroom

Review 77:Clean room Two TVs for privacy in each separate room Gorgeous lake view Renovated new room

Review 78:We stayed in family spa villa , so nice . Great heating , stunning view of lake , great food, friendly staff, good parking close to room, great deck on villa as well , and shiwer was so good heaps of pressure , well stat again : )))

Review 79:On our arrival the staff told us that there would be 80 school children staying for the two nights we were there which was fine by us but the fact is on the first night we had to wait till 7:30 for dinner and then on our last night the kitchen was open for the guests in between 6:30 till 7 we were not told this so we miss the dinner time and had to go into town which was inconvenient as we were tired from snowboarding that day! It would have been nice to have been told the dinner times when we spoke to the front desk that morning.

Review 80:This was the first holiday me and my partner had taken together. The staff made us really welcomed and comfortable. We stayed in the spa delux room and it was everything I expected! The lady's at the front desk were very helpful as this was the first time we were heading to the snow to snowboard and gave us some great advice! I would defiantly be returning ;)

Review 81:We paid a large amount early in in the year to book our room. Theadvertising was quite misleading and upon arriving we found a old motelwith friendly but very amateur and unprofessional staff. It seems achange in management has resulted in well meaning people but stillneeding to learn a lot about running a professional provider. Anexample is staff having breakfast with guests at the same time.Breakfast was a mess, bread still in their plastic bags, fruit runningout before we got down and staff members not cleaning tables. This hadnow become a really budget backpackers now and I suppose this wasdemonstrated by the massive reduction in prices in room rate. I couldgo on and on, but I just want these nice people to shape up fast andlearn how to run a motel

Review 82:Dinner was adequate for price

Review 83:Friendly Staff. Very quiet. Large rooms, with comfortable king bed. Great Shower. Jindabyne township 5 mins by car.
