Reviews for B&B Sul Corso
Review 1:Very friendly and nice staff, great location! The owner also help us to find parking for the car!!! Parking was safe, for free and in the center, 2 minutes walking from the b&b!!!
Review 2:The location is on the main shopping pedestrian road. Giuseppe took care of us, including helping us find parking, restaurants, attractions and helped our friends find their hotel. Would definitely recommend this one.
Review 3:Limited breakfast menu, which had to be consumed in local cafe. Room overlooked by other flats and business offices, no view.
Review 4:Very central location, near to train station and historic area. Good place for short stop over.
Review 5:Location in no parking zone which drove my GPS tracker crazy. No recommendations on where to park - parking is significantly difficult in Italy. Free breakfast meant a ticket to a local restaurant which meant one roll and one coffee. No juice.
Review 6:Price.
Review 7:Breakfast was not at the location but was coffee and a pastry across the street. Coffee at the room was a K-cup machine that worked very well.
Review 8:Joseph communicated very well and was a pleasure to work with.
Review 9:From the check in we were welcomed in English and were told how to get to all the local attractions. The B&B was easy to find from the train station less than 5 mins walk. I would recommend this hotel great value for money. Clean and fresh
Review 10:Nothing.
Review 11:Guiseppe is a mine of useful info, and could not be more helpful. The room was large, clean and comfortable, with effective aircon. We would go back.
Review 12:Difficult access by car, too small room (maybe others are bigger) and poor wi-fi reception.
Review 13:Location, Host/ owner was very kind and helpful, good and quiet AC.
Review 14:The host was so helpful and had many great recommendations. When he met us, he took time to give us a map and point out places of note. He even helped to find good restaurant recommendations for my dietary restrictions!
Review 15:Our room was tiny and not one of those featured in the photographs. The walls were incredibly thin because we were woken up by our neighbours at 6am, they were just going about their morning business - nothing out of the ordinary. We didn't like the situation of the B&B, which is on the 4th floor of an apartment / office block. The breakfast was by way of a voucher to hand in at a local cafe and this wasn't anything particularly special, just coffee and a croissant. We did not stay for our second night.
Review 16:The owner of this was lovely. He was very friendly and helpful, providing us with maps and guides.
Review 17:The breakfasts are somewhat lacking. It would be nice to have more tea & coffee available and something other than biscuits and pastries for breakfast.
Review 18:The room was clean and comfortable and located close enough to the station to walk as well as close to any other amenities we chose to make use of.
Review 19:The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Joseph, the host went out of his way to assist us, providing us with maps and information about Salerno. The complimentary tea and coffee in the room was a very welcome bonus (wish it was available everywhere in Italy!)
Review 20:We felt very at home at the B&B! The room was comfortable and clean! Overall we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay again if we're ever back in Salerno!
Review 21:None at all. Wish we had stayed longer in Salerno and will stay here again!!
Review 22:The owner, Joseph was amazing and so helpful about Salerno and the surrounding area. He made us feel right at home immediately and we enjoyed spending time in an authentic Italian town with fabulous food/gelato and a stroll in the evening to work it all off! It was easy to get around and an excellent base to get to Pompei (train) and Capri/Amalfi Coast (ferry/bus). The light breakfast was perfect to start our day and we had the most amazing dinners and gelato in Salerno. The people were helpful as the first night we were lost in finding a particular restaurant and a local assisted us by walking us right there. Unbelievable! The gelato was the best we had in Italy. We didn't speak much Italian but that was never a problem. The B&B is an easy walk from the train station (5 minutes) and on a main shopping street where everyone strolls at night. The room was large by European standards and very comfortable/clean. Elevator to get to the 4th floor and light breakfast at a little café right up the street. There is a "boardwalk" (not like the Jersey shore!) where folks stroll along the waterway and a ferry to Amalfi is 5 minutes away. Cruise ships come in at the port about 10 or so minutes away and you use this for Capri. If you want a real authentic trip to Italy - stay at this B&B in Salerno and travel about from there. Email me if you want more info on restaurants, tips, etc. :-)
Review 23:No breakfast provided. Room small but on par with that usually found in Italy.
Review 24:Clean, private and quiet. in mall close to dining and shopping. Close to train and near the ferry for trips to Amalfi and Positano.
Review 25:Very average breakfast of coffee and pastry in a cafe a few doors away.
Review 26:Great location, very close to the railway station and old town. Clean and comfortable with a kettle and complimentary tea and coffee. Manager extremely helpful giving all the information you could possibly need.
Review 27:Josepe was a lier, he told me that the B&B has a free parking and we had to put the car in the begining at a private parking and paid 15 € . Then he told me to put the car in the street behind the "hotel". In the morning I had problems with the neighbors, owners of the place. Almost called the Police.
Review 28:The town Not the B&B
Review 29:This is not a "B&B", it's not even a "B" Itconsists of a room on the 4th floor of a grotty apartment and officeblock in the town centre. Breakfast consists of a voucher for a coffeeand cake in the local cafe. Rooms are very cheaply furnished with diychipboard furniture and the bed was very uncomfortable. The only windowin our room was overlooked by about 4 other apartments and was providedwith a transparent curtain. The walls are extremely thin and offered nosoundproofing No privacy whatsoever! The bathroom was mouldy and tiny. You had to climb up about 50cm just to get in the shower. Could notstand in front of the wash basin due to the steps for the shower. Youeven had to pay to use the lift. How this place got a review rating of"9.1 Wonderful" I will never know. I believe this place isseverely misrepresented.
Review 30:The fact that we only stayed one night. We left before our check outdate just to get away from it.
Review 31:Good location, WiFi and clean. It locates in a shopping street, and close to train station, very convenient. 座落在當地最熱鬧的街上,一走出來就有很多好玩好逛的地方,而且靠近火車站與碼頭。
Review 32:This was a small B&B--only 4 rooms--but the proprietor was nearby and very responsive. The location is very convenient to the train station and the port, as well as restaurants and stores.
Review 33:Once we found the place, owner guided to a parking spot- and all was very well arranged for us.
Review 34:We booked the place as we arrived to Salerno, and it was getting late. The owner opened to room for us quickly, and was super nice! We got an upgrade for the suite which was free. Location is perfect- just on the main commercial street, within 10 minutes walk to main attractions . There is a lift to the top floor, and the room has everything needed for a nice and comfortable stay. owner was very helpful to suggest a good and reasonbly priced place for dinner. Excellent value for money. Strongly recommend!
Review 35:Due to the labrinthe of one way streets in Salerno it is hard to find and park. Not mentioned in the directions is that it is located on a pedestrian only street.
Review 36:Very goob facility & Giuseppe was an excellent manager offering lots of tips for visiting Salerno.
Review 37:My wife and I were in Salerno for three nights. The B & B is an easy walk from the train station. It is located in the heart of old town, with many great shops and restaurants. The owner, Guiseppe, was extremely helpful on our arrival. He spent time with us pointing out the area, restaurants and grocery store, upon our inquiry. The room was very clean and spacious. The B & B is located on the 4th floor, however, there is an elevator which is great when carrying luggage. We highly recommend this B & B and would stay here again.
Review 38:Thin walls as in all of Italy and in considerate guests in next room from Naples.
Review 39:Great location. Easy to find from train station and a short 10 minute walk. Buses to amalfi were just in front of the train station so easy to get to for outings. Old town salerno just a short walk down the main street the b&b is located on. Good restaurants close by just ask Giuseppe who is very helpful in providing info.
Review 40:There is no reception. One must contact the owner by the phone and then picked up. Parking is quite difficult. However, the owner can give you some insider tipps.
Review 41:Location very centrol. Clean and quiet. The owner is very frendly.
Review 42:Pillows weren't comfortable for us but once we used towels etc for pillows, we slept well as bed comfortable.
Review 43:Lovely modern room. Big bathroom and nice linen. Great instructions from owner. Good wifi. Easy walk from train station, to old town and down to waterfront. Central but quiet. Only stayed one night as on our way north
Review 44:There´s no sign of the hotel BUT there is one sign 35 meters before the property. TIP : From the train station, stay on the right side because the hotel is on the right side, and another landmark, it is almost beside the Adidas store.
Review 45:The owner is very helpful. He gave me all the boat sched for different locations, and he asked me thrice if I like my room. Room quality is superb (thats for me), dont have any problem/s with it.
Review 46:Parking was not like we are used to be, the put him away in a parkingstop area, where every where are signs off towing away. I was afraid my car was gone after two days. Further THE appartements are noisy, water neighbours you can hee and their talking and there private moments. Further THE price is THE best thing, we had a laugh About THE moments of our neighbourgh.
Review 47:Location in THE shoppingarea. Nearby THE see. Staff very friendly and helpfull. Price very good.
Review 48:excellent location close to the train station, restaurants and shopping. Only stayed one night for a rest before travelling by train to venice early in the morning. Very secure, great owner, clean and comfortable.
Review 49:Room was a little small for me... all a bit cramped.
Review 50:Great position in the heart of the city. Nice bedroom, though small. Good value for money to rest your head for the night.
Review 51:Try to arrange an arrival time ahead of time as someone isn't always there to let you in. I had a local sim so was able to call, but could be an issue for others with no phone access.
Review 52:Very friendly and helpful owner. We stayed only one night, but accommodations were clean and comfortable. Close to main train station which was convenient. Good value overall. Would stay here again.
Review 53:My wife and I went to Salerno for an overnight trip while we werevacationing in Italy. We wanted to get away from the overly touristyarea of Florence, and decided on Salerno. I booked the room, and on thetrain ride down, the proprietor and I exchanged texts so he knew when wewould arrive. He greeted us as we got close to the building, and he andhis son helped us upstairs with our suitcase. We were very impressedwith the room -- it was clean, airy, had plenty of storage, and greatwi-fi. The lighting was really nice. They took the time to explain allthat there was to do in Salerno, recommended several restaurants, andthen left us to explore. That night, we had some issues with theplumbing (the previous guest had flushed something that jammed up thetoilet), and the proprietor came by late Sunday evening to fix it. Thenext day, we checked out on time, and he held our bags for us at hisshipping shop while we explored the town for the day.In sum, we were really impressed with the room and how nicely we were treated.
Review 54:It was quite hard to find, I needed to use google maps and even then I struggled to locate it. Not sign posted at all it was in a larger building with several other properties. Small complaint really :)
Review 55:The staff were more than helpful, room was lovely and very central.
Review 56:It was nice to have the tickets for breakfast at a local cafe, but it included only a coffee and a roll.
Review 57:Good location and very helpful check in service with excellent advice. Beautifully designed room with spacious bedroom and very clean. Refrigerator was handy.

Review 64:Bed safe lights

Review 67:Is very nice place. I love this city. Th he bos is very kind and friendly.
Review 68:Very helpful staff. Secure building. Close to train and port.
Review 69:Find location before arriving in Salerno as not obvious on the ground. Need to ring propietor 20minutes before arrival.

Review 71:Everything ! Guesseppe was lovely , room was big and location amazing !
Review 72:Parking was not on property.

Review 89:Fantastic location! Awesome room and comfortable bed! Giuseppe and his son are gracious hosts! We highly recommend! Very clean! We will definitely stay in the lovely B&B next time in Salerno. We rate 10 plus!!!! Karen & Nicholas Toronto Canada
Review 90:Bit hard to find (it's on the fourth floor in a block without a big sign on a pedestrian only street) and hard to find breakfast so we skipped it.
Review 91:Really helpful owner Room was modern, cool and great location in centre of town
Review 92:Although the furniture was modern and very elegant, a 12 cm wide woodenrailing around the bed made the room seem even smaller and added acouple of bruises to my shins. If you are not traveling with a cellphone, you need to make prior arrangements with Giuseppe, and thebuilding just has a phone number to call.
Review 93:The location between the train station and the old town, also only a fewblocks from the port, was great. Giuseppe was very helpful with maps andrestaurant suggestions. Coffee/tea maker and minibar in the roomwere unanticipated treat.
Review 94:The air conditioning only works from June 15 to early fall. But this is true for all of Italy, so this is not a negative comment about this specific hotel. We went at the end of May so it was a bit too warm for us.
Review 95:The owner of this hotel made us feel like part of his family. He was beyond helpful. We also enjoyed the location with the many authentic Italian restaurants nearby. It is relatively close to the train station, and if you want to go to Amalfi and other gorgeous town, the bus stop is very close to the hotel. The rate was good for the area. I recommend this hotel.
Review 96:The proprietor was not at the property when we arrived, which required us to sit outside with our luggage on a busy street and wait for another tenant to come to the security door of the building and call the staff for us. The walls are a bit thin - you can hear everything that your neighbors are up to. And I do mean everything. Although the room was furnished nice and new, I did find some of the finishes a bit - well, unfinished. The closet doors fall off in your hands when you open the doors. The safe was screwed into weak particle board - I think that I could have pried it off with a Bic pen. Our bathroom had a rag stuck into a hole in the bathroom wall - probably to prevent sewer gas from venting into the room. The ceiling light fixture was hanging from its wires (the base/cover had separated). These are all tiny problems, but they add up and irritate me. Just get a good handyman for half a day and fix them. The shower in our room had a door opening of about 18 inches wide. If you have a bit of a belly, you may have a problem squeeeeeezing into the shower. Upon checking into the B&B, we were required to pay with cash - CC not accepted. Luckily we had just enough to cover our one night. It would have been nice if that would have been disclosed in the reservation email. I know that this review sounds pretty negative, but it was a good stay for a good value. It all worked out well for us, and I would stay there again.
Review 97:Location, value, decoration. Very clean. Very close to the train station and the ferry. Located on a busy (pedestrian traffic) shopping street - a fun and hopping part of town.
Review 98:The kindness and helpfulness of the owner, Giuseppe, were exceptional! Centrally located and an easy walk from the train station made this a perfect place to stay in vibrant Salerno.
Review 99:Excellent location along with great value for money. Joseph and his son really went out of their way to get us sorted out after a long journey. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again. Thanks!
Review 100:The room was spacious, clean and the owner was very cordial and helful. He gace us some great tips on where to have dinner etc. I will defintely go back! Lucia, Sapri
Review 101:Lovely, clean apartment. Very welcoming and friendly owner. Good wifi. Good location in the Corso but away from noise. Able to leave luggage with the owner after checkout.
Review 102:The walls of the house are thin, you could hear the neighbours talking.
Review 103:B&B is situated on the main street, close to the railway station. The owner Giuseppe was friendly, the room was clean.
Review 104:Big, clean and confortable room. At a walking distance from the train station and main attraction of Sorrento. Helpful and friendy staff.
