Reviews for Grand Hotel Mosè
Review 1:Room temperature during night very hot. It seems AC is centrally controlled, as we could not lower temperature from room. We did not ask at reception about this problem, because our stay was only for one night.
Review 2:Nice and clean pool. Good breakfast. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Review 3:The value for money, breakfast is brilliant plenty choice and lots of fresh fruit available. The hotel is clean and well run in a straightforward no frills way. Francesco the pool guy was so helpful and always busy working away.
Review 4:Location was a bit "commercial" but access to the Valley of Temples was excellent.
Review 5:The pool was most welcome on hot July Sicilian days. Staff were both friendly and capable.
Review 6:pool was open, but only at your own risk (because there is no lifeguard) - maybe in high season it is different. not in the city (not a problem to us), rooms should get an upgrade - looks quite used (but not old)
Review 7:breakfast was quite good (croissants, fruit, musli, jogurt, ham, cheese, coffe, milk, juice, ...), althought nearly on main street it is quiet, near the Valley of Temples - good location
Review 8:We stayed at this hotel for 1 night to visit the Temples which are very near. Nothing to complain about. Parking space for our motorcycles provided as well as breakfast was very good.
Review 9:The emphasis seems to be on trying to accommodate the busloads of tourists coming for one night before moving on. The staff don't seem too interested in their guests.
Review 10:The location on the highway and the large parking lot were convenient. There was a nice area to sit and relax near the pool.
Review 11:Wi-Fi wasn't good. Sometimes I couldn't get the access to the Internet. The shower in the bathroom was too small!!!!!
Review 12:The room was big enough. It was quiet.
Review 13:We would have loved to have used the pool after a hot afternoon at the temples but unfortunately it was closed.
Review 14:The room and facilities were excellent. The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast had plenty of choice. The hotel was very quiet and had ample parking. We chose this hotel because we wanted to avoid being in Agrigento itself with its difficulties in parking. It was in a perfect location just a short drive to the temples and excellent value for money ~ the cheapest hotel on our 10 day holiday.
Review 15:We dealt with a very cranky front desk person upon check-in who didn't receive our complaint about the room very well, but then another front desk person stepped in and was very helpful and accommodating.
Review 16:Swimming pool area was very nice. The original room we were assigned had issues and the staff agreed to change our room when we complained. We were very happy with the room they gave us.
Review 17:The furniture in the room seemed a bit tired and the cleaners would come in at 5.30 pm to make your bed and clean the room
Review 18:The rooms where spotless the reception staff where very friendly and helpful and the restaurant staff and manager where friendly and helpful I would definitely stay there again
Review 19:We arrived at 3pm but our room wasn't ready. We had to wait another 40min to check in. There is roundabout near the hotel (about 2mi away) that gets extremely busy so avoid rush hour to get to and from the hotel.
Review 20:I booked several hotels for our 10-day Italy tour and all "included" breakfast. None of them actually did, except the Grand Mose. The hotel is not brand-new, but is well maintained. The room was small but airy, comfortable and very clean! The staff was polite and helpful. Ample parking lot with some shade for those who have a car and the location is great (nearby most points of interest). At the current rates, you cannot pass up this hotel!
Review 21:it's not the hotel actually the only thing is that it is far from the port and it could be better if they can provide shuttle service for who needs it
Review 22:pool,reception and breakfast areas are fantastic
Review 23:Did dent like seeing a cockroach running across the bathroom floor in the reception also did dent like the pillows Thay were to hard
Review 24:The staff were very helpfull hotel was clean and looked lovely and liked the pool area
Review 25:Beds were a little too firm for our liking but that is a personal preference and didn't stop us having 9 excellent nights sleep.
Review 26:We loved the pool area never over busy, always available sunbeds. Staff very helpful and friendly especially Marco, Peppe & Louie. Breakfast excellent lots of choice. Rooms comfortable and very clean. Will definitely go back again.
Review 27:It's too far away from places we want to see,And eat. Not friendly staff. The room is old.
Review 28:Breakfast is is very good.parking space is not a problem.
Review 29:We stayed here due to the proximity to the temples. It was also 10minutes from some beautiful beaches. The staff were pleasant, hotel clean, and the value for money was exceptional.
Review 30:The walls was narrow and we heard the neighbor's speak
Review 31:Very good instalations for the price of a B&B. Nice if you just want to visit the Valley of the Templos. Parking lot.

Review 42:Good location (5min drive to valley of temples, 15min to scala dei turchi) Nice personal, sympatic hotel in arabic style
Review 43:a bit noisy and not a great neighborhood
Review 44:very spacious rooms and very clean.... Great breakfast
Review 45:Single bed was not too comfortable
Review 46:Location was easy to find Great breakfast
Review 47:It was close to the Valley of Temples. The facilities were nice and the Breakfast was great.
Review 48:Most of the staff only speaks italian.
Review 49:Situated close to the Temples, clean hotel, helpful staff and cleaners. Good parking.
Review 50:heater sound was noisy.
Review 51:breakfast was good, room decoration was nice. close to Vally of Temples.
Review 52:Clean, modern. Staff completely attentive! Free parking on site.
Review 53:Definitely value for money, friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, not very far by car to the temples, room to park at the hotel
Review 54:The rooms were big and clean with everything you needed incl. free WIFI. Staff was very friendly and helpful and breakfast was good as well!
Review 55:Quite hotel during night time Easy to reach
Review 56:very small shower; airconditioning very noisy and could not be regulated
Review 57:spacious rooms and common areas; friendly helpful staff; very good breakfast
Review 58:The hotel itself is a very nice structure, built in the style of ancient ruins. The pool is very nice and the rooms are good.
Review 59:the rooms were very noisy. you could hear your neigbours talk / argue 24/7
Review 60:the breakfast was great, nice people from the hotel.
Review 61:Everything
Review 62:Nothing
Review 63:No facilities ie: tea coffee making, ironing service.
Review 64:Location was good, but need a car for the beach.
Review 65:Poor lighting: diffficult to read in bed. Furnishing old fashioned.
Review 66:Big room. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast
Review 67:Clean, nice pool area, excellent breakfast.
Review 68:The shower is very little
Review 69:The pool is wonderful
Review 70:Great location for agrigento ruins. Fantastic value-lovely swimming pool & great breakfast
Review 71:The smell in the bathroom. The power failure during the night
Review 72:Location
Review 73:Some of the staff (at breakfast) seemed grumpy and unwelcoming. But the desk staff were great, and overall I liked the hotel.
Review 74:Loved the old world 70's and earlier decor. The rooms were large and airy, everything was good.
Review 75:Hotel looks a little old. The rooms are a bit dated, but they are clean. Very thin walls: you can clearly hear people talking in the next room.
Review 76:Very nice and competent staff. My luggage had been lost and needed to be delivered at the hotel. We called ahead to warn them and it was not a problem. They called back to say the airport had called them that my luggage would be delivered, and called again when it was finally delivered. Also for questions during the stay, the staff were friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast buffet. Hotel is very close to the Valley of the Temples (literally 3 minutes drive) All in all, value for money (although not the best rooms)
Review 77:The rooms are really Spartan in that there was basically no other furniture in the second bedroom besides the two beds. It is also located on a busy main road, just outside of Agrigento.
Review 78:The hotel decor is a real throw back to the 1920's and 30's, particularly the dining room with its all white chair and table covers. The hotel is really spacious, with large hallways and lobby.
Review 79:Breakfast was a little limited with only croissants.
Review 80:The room was very clean and spacious, it was quiet and we slept well. The staff were very helpful and we would stay there again.
Review 81:The area around the hotel is a busy road with a few shops and not particularly attractive - but there are regular buses to the Temples and into Agrigento and the locals were very friendly.
Review 82:Staff were very friendly and helpful - and let us use the pool and check out at 11am on the day of departure at no additional cost. Great value for money with good selection of fresh fruit, pastries, savoury (cheese, ham, eggs, etc) available for breakfast in a large, well presented dining room. The hotel has a pool room (snooker table), bar and large lounge area to hang out in. Our room was huge and housekeeping was excellent - even put our (shop-bought!) grapes in a bowl for us when we left them in our room during the day. Loads of towels, extra blankets if needed, big TV - I've stayed in more expensive places and had barely half of the facilities and services offered here. I would definitely stay here again.
Review 83:The hardest bed I ever tried to sleep in. (And we travel a lot.) Rooms are not very nice. Very dark. The whole hotel give you a dated impression. And then I think that some areas are newly renovated!
Review 84:Breakfast buffet was very good. Looks great from outside. Reception friendly. Nice big area. Low price in September.
Review 85:Bed adequate but it wasn't a double bed as requested but two singles put together, which could have been better with a better mattress cover
Review 86:Staff very helpful. Room surprisingly good. Swimming pool too. Good location for Vallee dei templi just 10 minutes away
Review 87:The bed spread has burn mark on it. Surprising, considering how nice the rest of the hotel was.
Review 88:The room was large and clean. The Hotel is a unique design in that it is opulent and imposing. Breakfast was very good, especially considering the price.
Review 89:The Hotel needs surely an internal renovation, a refurbishment - furniture and the rooms should be updated . Moreover the soundproof was really poor, as every single noise from the above and next door room was heard. Some attention to the details will surely give the hotel a strong competitive advantage and will surely be a 9+.
Review 90:The Hotel is perfectly located, only a 5 minutes drive from Valley of the Temples,10 minutes from Porto Empedocle (beach) and 15 minutes from Agrigento. The building externally is very interesting (looks like a castle) and the parking area is spacious. The staff was very helpful and friendly and gave us directions for our visit it the Valley. A beautiful and clean pool for relaxing was certainly a plus. The room was clean, descent and had all needed equipment. The breakfast was plentiful and of high quality products.
Review 91:We arrived on a Saturday and went out to explore the area by car as this is the only way to get around. We arrived back early evening to find a coach party and wedding reception had arrived taking all the parking spaces. However the only decent member of staff was on duty in reception and ensured personally that we had a space straight away. The attitude of the rest of the staff was less than helpful. When we asked for red wine at the bar we were told there was none and offered white. On the Sunday morning because the establishment had obvioulsy over stretched its resources breakfast choice was very limited and the staff worn out. The toilet in our room did not flush properly.
Review 92:The member of staff on duty when we had a problem with parking in the early evening of Saturday and booking out on the Monday morning. He was friendly, courteous and helpful.
Review 93:We had booked a family room but the cleaning staff were behind on their jobs so to avoid delay we had been put into 2 separate rooms which meant we were split into parent and child in 1 room and a parent and child in another.
Review 94:Spacious rooms, helpful receptionist and great airconditioning.
Review 95:The hotel has so much going for it but....the rooms are poorly kept, in desperate need of modernisation and lack of attention to detail is very evident. The hotel are aware of this and are looking to update the rooms...so watch this space. If updated, this hotel would have got a 10/10 rating from me.
Review 96:The location (perfect for the Valley of the Temples), the hotel appearance from outside through to the foyer area (the is a lot of character to this place), ideal swimming pool and a large car park. Breakfast was excellent with a varied choice and the staff were very helpful.
Review 97:The hotel needs renovation.
Review 98:Good location, easy to find, near to Valey of the Temples. There is a large parking, big pool. At breakfast was also a cheese and meat, not just croissants.
Review 99:Quiet and pretty empty during our 2 night stay. Location not so good for the beach
Review 100:Friendly and helpful staff, Large swimming pool, parking, good size room, Location good for valley of the temples.
Review 101:The "golden age" of this hotel was far long time ago. Hotel needs significant investments in its refurbishment - furniture, bathroom. Corridors, terraces and pool surroundings are dirty and poorly managed.
Review 102:Exciting pool
Review 103:serve breakfast very early and if you do not get up early you will not have much of a choice
Review 104:very good breakfast, if you have a car it is a good location to visit the archaeological park in Agrigento and local beaches
Review 105:The bad points: Our toilet flush button was ridiculously hard to pushand the guy on reception had to 'teach' us the knack to make itwork. Also we had no hot water for over 2 hours and couldn't showerbefore going out for dinner. When we told reception, the man just said'in 5 minutes' which it wasn'T...There was no bath-tubeither, apparently they don't exist in Sicily!
Review 106:We really liked this hotel. The staff were so polite and helpful andvery friendly even though they spoke very little English. It's animpressive building, big and quite 'posh'. The pool area islovely and the whole place is designed in a sort of Arabic style whichis particularly lovely in the pool area. We didn't use therestaurant other than for breakfast which was quite adequate. Our roomwas quite big and the bed comfortable. We had a tv with a few musicchannels to listen to/watch.
Review 107:clean and spacious room with nice new bathroom
Review 108:no internet, pool area was closed. 8pm all market were closed, no place were to eat
Review 109:staff and breakfast, private parking
Review 110:pool not in use
Review 111:good staff, pool, food
Review 112:Food
Review 113:If you want to visit the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, this is a great place to stay. Had dinner at the hotel and it was really good.
Review 114:The bed
Review 115:Dinner and Breakfast
Review 116:Room need updating
Review 117:Breakfast was good.
Review 118:food, we had lunch the day we arrived, the main course was awful
Review 119:The equipment is a little bit older.
Review 120:It is a very nice hotel. It seems like a castle. Very nice swimming pool.
Review 121:Room was nice and big, breakfast was great and pool was lovely after a long day.
Review 122:Beautiful hotel yet almost totally empty when we were there late June 2013 - July 2013. Very friendly staff and amazing pool.
Review 123:The neighborhood was a chaotic jumble of buildings.
Review 124:Modern hotel with all the amenities, conveniently located near VAlle dei Templi,
Review 125:The staff is friendly and helpfull in every situation
