Reviews for B&B Mini Hotel Incity
Review 1:When we reserved, we need 3 rooms. But they arranged at 2 places, with 1 flat 350m away. As we were 5 and couldn't seperate, 5 people were force to 2 rooms. They pretended that the flat had nothing to do with them, but the total receipt for us were under their name. Very small room, no place to hang towel.
Review 2:none
Review 3:Thıs hotel locatıon very good , near the boat statıon ,and stuff frıendly.help us a lot . we are arrıved there early around 11am ,but stuff let us check ın.
Review 4:Property hard to find at first and little disorganised on our arrival.
Review 5:Very nice luxurious apartment. Nice town with nice pizzas. Wish we stayed longer.
Review 6:No serious complaint but it is not in a very good area, and restaurants etc are the other side of the rail station. However it is good value for one's money.
Review 7:300 metres from main rail station. Staff helpful & friendly.
Review 8:The room and the terrace were beautiful and the staff were so accommodating! They offered us suggestions of where to visit and where to eat. It was really a phenomenal stay.
Review 9:It was a room in an apartment in a perfect location, free parking and very closed to the center. The room was very big, pleasant, comfortable and well equipped, but it is not a hotel. The efficient staff is available at the telephone. Breakfast was poor.
Review 10:We reserved a space in the private car park which was located virtually on the beach.apart from the day of arrival it was impossible to find a space when you returned if you used the car during the day. On trying to go out one day we waited 30 minutes as we were blocked in and couldn't locate the offending motorcyclists. We would never go to this hotel again because of the parking problem
Review 11:We absolutely loved our stay at massimo's B&B. Everything was perfect, such a nice appartement, all new, a great terasse very quiet. Very good taste in the decoration. And above all, incredible service by our host, funny and usefull. Thanks again for this experience! We all want to come back
Review 12:When we arrived we were taken to a different building to the one we were directed to and had some difficulty accessing the building. Long walk to the parking area.
Review 13:First apartment we were given was nicely furnished with plenty of room and glass diving doors to make it spacious.
Review 14:It's a bit difficult to find, and the neighborhood is a bit seedy. This was not an issue for us as we needed to lay over for one night after a train ride to Salerno, but there you have it.
Review 15:Great value, clean, friendly and accommodating service, close to the train station.
Review 16:Traffic noise and noise from next door were not conducive to a good night of sleep. Cleaning lady came into room (and stayed, even after it was clear to her I was still getting ready). I had to kick her out to change clothes.
Review 17:They serve a very nice breakfast. There is a beautiful plant-filled terrace to sit out on. Very close to beach.
Review 18:I can honestly say that I don't think we could have chosen a better place to stay in Salerno. From the moment we were welcomed by the owner, Alessandro, to our late evening departure after a long day of travel, we were treated with special care and concern for our every comfort. I (55 year-old mom) traveled with my 19 year-old daughter and her friend, and all of us were welcomed. Beds were comfortable, room was immaculate and spacious, and the terrace was beautiful. Highly recommend!
Review 19:No lift ,difficulties with luggage. Rooms are too noisy due to street traffic. Breakfast is awful.
Review 20:Attitude of ownership and reception staff is very good. Impression is that they are doing the utmost to help
Review 21:We had to relocate because of the road and rail noise. Could not sleep and had to move on after 4 nights. There is also a bar and restaurant next to the hotel which were open to the earlier hours of the morning and the smokers outside were also loud.
Review 22:Really nice and friendly.
Review 23:The young lady who served breakfast the next morning was rude and didn't even acknowledge me when I came in to eat. She was not happy to be disturbed when I had to ask for coffee. When the owner showed up he did not say hello or welcome me to his hotel. Would not recommend this place except for Martina and maybe just for an overnight on your way somewhere else, like we did.
Review 24:We were given a warm welcome by Martina who gave us some very helpful information and showed us to our lovely room. The locatio0n is close to the train station so we did not have to walk far. The room was clean and had everything we needed.
Review 25:Make sure you make arrangements to return the keys.
Review 26:The apartment we stayed in was right in the centre of Salerno. We did not stay at the address on the website but we preferred to be in the centre. Alessandro was most helpful and could not do enough for us. Would definately stay again. Also you must try The Nonna Marina restaurant at Cantiere Soriente. The best seafood in Italy.
Review 27:Not a dislike, a little hard to find as entrance is on a side and the sign on the main street is set on the 3rd floor
Review 28:Great location near train line, big room and the breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful with what to do and where to eat. Would stay again
Review 29:The room does tend to get stuffy snd we had some difficulty operating the AC - opening the window meant that we invited in the noise from the busy street below, but we were usually tired after a full day so it didn't bother us too much.
Review 30:Alesandro was the perfect host and went out of his way to make us feel at home. He was very helpful with activities to do and places to eat. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Review 31:The listing said the unit had a full kitchen. It has a mini refridgerator and microwave. Not a big issue, though.
Review 32:Alex, the owner was excited to orient us to the old city of Salerno. He gave recommendations for a range of good restaurants and sites accessible from the area. Enjoyed being so close to the sites, sounds, and charming ambience of the city. 2 incredible pizzarias within 2 blocks! Try The gelato in brioche at Nettuna Bar on Via Lungemare.
Review 33:The staff really went out of their way to help me and make sure my trip was successful as I was travelling alone and travelling on to Rome for the day. The restaurant on the hotel's doorstep was exquisite and I'll definitely go back. Highly recommended.
Review 34:Nothing bad to report
Review 35:Everything, nothing wrong at all. Room was well equipped and new enough. People helped out getting to apartment and were very efficent. Will stay again on next visit.
Review 36:The breakfast was not one of those full European ones with cheese, meat etc, but what there was, was delicious and freshly prepared for us
Review 37:Extremely friendly welcoming staff who even gave us a tour of the wonderful lights of Salerno Beautiful modern decor and lovely tiled outdoor area Close to the train station and the beach front
Review 38:There was nothing at this hotel that we didn't like.
Review 39:The B & B Mini Hotel Incity made our Amalfi Coast trip fantastic, and the staff saved our vacation. I had a dental emergency that was immediately solved by Massimo, the hotel owner. One of the staff, Pamela, even took me to the dental office and translated. The entire experience at this hotel was way beyond anything one would expect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
Review 40:The mattress...but that's just personal taste
Review 41:Extremely helpful and kind staff. Beautiful deck and wonderful breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated and all the hotel was impeccably clean. Thank you
Review 42:Parking wasn't nearby but we were taken to it by a member of staff. As it got light lorries arrived nearby and emptied recycled glass for about two hours- very noisy. There was no one there when we went for breakfast, so we helped ourselves, then a woman came in and took that away and gave us what she wanted us to have, and then she started cleaning the kitchen diner very noisily. So not a peaceful breakfast
Review 43:Convenient place, clean and comfortable bedroom.
Review 44:15 minute walk to old town
Review 45:walking distance to train station and bus service lovely rooftop patio where we enjoyed a lemoncello served by the innkeeper upon our arrival. attentive staff comfortable rooms
Review 46:Breakfast - more like Italian, not European/ Intercontinental. But it is ok for Italy. :)
Review 47:Staff - excellent. Private area with huge rooftop terrace was excellent. Very good district.
Review 48:A little difficult to find as the entrance is down a side street and is difficult to spot when driving.
Review 49:Very clean and comfortable with good breakfasts.
Review 50:Staff was very friendly, we were a little bit late but they waited for us and then welcomed us with cold water and fruit juice (we were offered wine as well). Great places to eat just outside - restaurant with special rate for the Hotel guests and awesome place next door - Saltimbocca.
Review 51:Hard to find - down a side street with a very small sign. No elevator.
Review 52:Loved quality of room, rain shower, breakfast and rooftop terrace. Staff very attentive. Quiet, safe and secure. Parking was available. Wonderful value.
Review 53:It was hard to find the hotel, The hotel is located behind the Grand hotel...
Review 54:The owners are very nice and kind, and speaks english. Breakfast was diverse with sweet and salty foods. The atmosphere was very young and fun
Review 55:It was difficult to find (we were driving). Better signage would help. There is no elevator, so you have to be prepared to schlep luggage- although the staff is not only willing, they are eager to help. Small problems that they helped us solve.
Review 56:This is a gem of a boutique hotel in the heart of Salerno. Room was great and staff were outstanding. The young lady at the desk helped haul our luggage (2 couples on a 16 day trip) up the long flight of stairs and the owner brought us tea, biscuits, and limoncello on the lovely rooftop deck. Breakfast is also delightful. We'd stay there again!
Review 57:Nothing!
Review 58:This hotel is very good located. Train and bus station are very close (5 min walk). Beach is also very close (5 min walk). The host is very friendly and we felt familiar with the staff. As we arrive they welcomed us with drinks. The breakfast was also very various with everything you need. The only think that the host has to do better is to show more pictures. I never expect that the mini hotel has that nice decos. The floor in the bath is unique and the terrasse for breakfast is huge. I wish I could stay longer. If I ever come again to Salerno, I'll be there again! Thanks a lot...
Review 59:nothing negative but would be nicer if we couldchoose the food and beverage on our own at the breakfast.
Review 60:very nice and cheerful stuff. comfortable mini hotel to stay, highly recommended.
Review 61:Crammed in between apartment and office blocks. Not really an attractive outlook.
Review 62:Staff very helpful Secure ticketed car park nearby Near to the sea front Restaurants and bars nearby Good breakfast
Review 63:If someone wants to find something bad, he will find...in this place we felt like home. The persons here are fantastic. Massimo and Alex are two of the best italian fellows we have met during our journey. The place is very clean. We only can say Thank you guys.
Review 64:We were so touched by the welcome platter of fruit and ice cream cookies. They couldn't be more helpful about places to visit and places to eat.. Even mentioning the 20% discount at the restaurant next door. We were also invited to join the owner for a glass of chilled limoncello on the patio surrounded by fairy lights one evening. Wonderful staff and I would strongly recommend this B&B to others.
Review 65:Nothing
Review 66:We used Salerno as a base for visiting other parts of the Amalfi coast and being located close to the train station and ferry terminal, this hotel is very well located. It is also only a 5 minute stroll into the main shopping / restaurant area of the city. The rooms are very modern and clean with a huge bathroom! Service was also very friendly.
Review 67:Not applicable
Review 68:Everything... We had the most amazing welcome by the staff, it was actually incomparable to any Hotel/Apartment we have ever stayed at, we felt like family or Rockstars. We requested a gluten free breakfast which was absolutely no problem at all. They also had tourist information and nice non tourist restaurants which they rang while we were there to check on gluten free. The apartment was clean, very comfortable, breakfast delicious, location was perfect, good Wifi. Salerno was a perfect alternative to regular tourist towns near Amalfi and we will definitely be back.
Review 69:Our entire experience with this location was excellent. The staff were so helpful and the facility was beautiful. We are definitely recommending this to our friends and we will definitely be back to stay here again.
Review 70:Indoor room (no window), broken shower and a lot o noise in the room (ventilation).
Review 71:Breakfast was good and the b&b has a very nice balcony. Very nice staff and welcome ritual (juice and water).
Review 72:Although within reasonable walking distance of the old town we would have preferred to be closer.
Review 73:Lovely friendly welcome on arrival. The cold drink and fresh fruit salad brought to our room as we were settling in was greatly appreciated. This was by far the best B&B we were able to find in the area and we were very happy with the quality and the service that we received. Easily accessible for both the bus and ferry terminals.
Review 74:We had no access to the reception area after check in because our room was about 6 blocks away in another location. We grew to like this once we got accustomed to our surroundings. Ut we had no access to breakfast or the lovely terrace at the main location. Our breakfast consisted of packaged croissants and juice - it was very basic and not very tasty. The owners gave us some unsolicited but incorrect info about getting to Pompeii, so we wasted some time getting our train tickets there. Otherwise we loved our stay.
Review 75:The location was fabulous. 5 min from train station, and ferries to Amalfi. Our room was newly renovated and very spacious and comfortable. Very classy decor. More than expected for this class of hotel. We would stay here again in a heart beat.
Review 76:Hotel staff provided excellent service - we had an early train to catch but our breakfast was taken care of because one of the staff packed food for us. Room was very well-decorated and it made us feel at home.
Review 77:wonderful friendly staff, 5 minute walk to station, beautiful rooms, lovely breakfast, highly recommended
Review 78:The staff were very helpful and knowledgable. We thank Anne, Pam, Grace and the two owners for their for all the help they gave us during our stay.
Review 79:Great staff, excellent with our pet dog.
Review 80:We were a couple blocks from the main streets and things were easy to get to.
Review 81:Staff so friendly!
Review 82:Toilett was not clean enough.
Review 83:Everything especially friendly owner!
Review 84:Great location perfect for train to airport , thanks
Review 85:Bad breakfast, uncomfortable beds.
Review 86:Grate staff, close to the train station.
Review 87:Preis Leistung stimmt nicht. Nicht komfortabel. Frühstück kann man vergessen. 2 Knäckebrot mit Butter . Kein parking
Review 88:Close to Beach
Review 89:NIL
Review 90:excellent breakfast and helpful staffs! 5 stars service
Review 91:Great recommendations from staff
Review 92:Very short showers, hot water runs out very fast.
Review 93:Great location, staff very helpful, clean and comfortable hotel.
Review 94:Nothing.
Review 95:The service was above reproach. It doesn't get better. We were looked after like royalty and we are just common people.
Review 96:Wonderful B&B.
Review 97:Everything!
Review 98:Not far from train station. Supermarket within 5-min walk.
Review 99:Traffic noise!
Review 100:Lovely room. Excellent bathroom. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Lovely terrace for relaxing. Close to station.
Review 101:Pillows. Oh we'll.
Review 102:Super helpful staff going the extra mile. Great location in what turned out to be charming city.
Review 103:Location, staff
Review 104:Staff and management went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Can't thank them enough for their assistance.
Review 105:Everything
Review 106:Only thing I can say is that my dad has trouble with his knees so going up and down the stairs was the only issue..luckily we only had 3 flights of stairs to go so it wasnt too bad.
Review 107:The location was just under 5 minutes walk from the train station.. The service was impeccable especially the hospitality of the owners. The room was good and bathroom big and clean.
Review 108:We missed breakfast, as we were leaving so early, provisions were in the fridge for us. Breakfast in the hotel looked amazing (disappointed we missed it).
Review 109:The location near the train station was perfect. Very spacious and spotless apartment and the staff could not have been more helpful. Perfect!
Review 110:When we arrived, we were told that the main hotel was full. Luckily, the owners arranged us another place, which was very nice but a bit far from the hotel and the parking place making it hard to transfer luggage to/from the car.
Review 111:Good location. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. Parking is free (but not on-site, ~5 min. walk from the hotel).
Review 112:No reading light A better coffee set up needed (coffee press?)
Review 113:Location Breakfast Decor and cleanliness Hospitality of staff, English spoken Parking
Review 114:Most surprisingly, given the general character of the hotel, the breakfast, apart from the fruit and yogurt, was inedible! The sweets were not fresh, the dried rusks were stale and the only savoury offering was a sandwich made from packaged white bread, a processed cheese slice and a few chopped tomatoes. This was put into a slot toaster to cook and the result was a gluey mess. Have never experienced food like that anywhere in Italy!
Review 115:The location was close to the train station and the waterfront, and not far from the old town. The rooftop deck was large, well-furnished and available to guests at all times. Our room (#3) although very small and located right beside the reception area, was nicely decorated and very clean. Staff were very welcoming and helpful with good information about sites and restaurants.
Review 116:Parking place is a disaster. Please make sure while you are booking whether somebody will be there to find parking place for you or not. The actual reception and the apartment we got is nearly 800 meters apart. There is no place due to construction to stand with car in front of the reception. The breakfast is poor.
Review 117:The room was like a studio apartment, very spacious. Just at the heart of the city.
Review 118:We were greeted warmly by a friendly staff. Warm greetings included offer of beverages from the bar! Beautiful terrace for a relaxing drink. We met the owner who was a very gracious host. Treated us to a wonderful wine he likes. Breakfast was simple, but ample. We were very impressed with the hospitality and facilities.
Review 119:N.A.
Review 120:Alex and Max are very good hosts. The evening we arrived we got in late and it was pouring rain. Alex came to pick us up at the bus station totally unexpectedly. He fit the two of us and our 3 pieces of luggage in his extraordinary smart car! Room was spotless, wireless quick and reliable. We asked for soya-milk and gluten-free breakfast and there were no problems with that. We even got a welcome drink, a limoncello of course!
Review 121:During our 3-week-journey in Campania we stayed in 7 hotels/bb:s. And without any doubt this was the best. Modern, clean, silent with very pleasant and helpful staff, diverse and tasteful breakfast and perfect location. Even the staircase was attractive (which is rare in older houses). Woud book again anytime.
