Reviews for Hinode Ryokan
Review 1:The hotel is a bit old and dark, but consider the price I have paid it is definitely good value for money.
Review 2:1)Great location, just outside the JR station 2) I really loved the traditional breakfast they served in the morning 3) the staff is friendly and we had no problems to communicate with each other 4) I also enjoyed the bath house, especially at the end of the day.
Review 3:None at all!
Review 4:The staff is so warm and welcoming. The room is beautiful, large and comfortable with a kettle for tea, yukatas for each of us to use in the shared traditional bath attached to the ryokan. Highly recommend getting the traditional breakfast there. It was one of the best ones of our entire trip.
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:Everything! We arrived quite late at night and our room has already been set up in a nice and cozy way. Good breakfast; prefect location. Definitely will stay again if we shall be back to Ise.
Review 7:The showering rooms were a bit small and felt crowded with five people inside
Review 8:Very spacious and comfortable Japanese style room. The futons were warm and soft. Very convenient location.
Review 9:Had trouble finding it to begin with because name is not on sign in English.
Review 10:Friendly, helpful staff. Japanese breakfast in private room. Free bikes. Lovely tatami room. They booked a vegetarian meal for us at a local restaurant.
Review 11:Make sure you advise the manager you are taking a bath, otherwise no hot water!
Review 12:This is a lovely old Ryokan managed by an older Japanese couple. The man spoke a little English, which was great, as he was very helpful. The Ryokan has all the traditional touches and location close to the train station. The manager gave us a map of some good eateries nearby, which was handy.
Review 13:The room is very clean and comfortable. The host is very nice and kind. We drove to Hinode Ryokan from Nagoya at night time. However, we got the wrong way and arrived there very late at around 3 a.m.! The host was so kind that he stayed up till that late at night and waited for us to welcome us. The location is very convenient and very near to the train station. All the staff there are super friendly and nice! The host gave me and as well as my two little girls souvenirs when we left.
Review 14:The Ryokan was immaculate with large, traditional rooms and shared Japanese baths. Beautiful, simple features, quiet, cosy, comfortable rooms (with chairs), spotless facilities and helpful staff. The owner was very welcoming and generous.
Review 15:Everything is clean but should be renovated No hot water in the rest rooms Not well insulated (it was ok in my room thanks to AC)
Review 16:Nice personnal Good japanese breakfast Real experience of traditional japanese ryokan
Review 17:Smell of cigarette smoke from the front office area, which drifted up the corridor.
Review 18:The staff went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and understood everything. They had ensured we were given a room near the toilets and washroom. Breakfast was very good.
Review 19:The ryokan is historical so the room does have an old tatami odor which requires some getting used to. The ofuro is small and the water needs to be hotter.
Review 20:Location is great, and the service and welcome was relaxed and comfortable with English pamphlets and brochures on almost everything ( a rarity in Japan) . As a ryokan it is a little cheaper than most. Breakfast was very good in a nicely renovated room. Owner was very attentative and supportive.
Review 21:The bath was a bit too cool for my tastes, and since it's very small, can become cramped in the evenings. Still always possible to get clean, just not take a long soak.
Review 22:We endured a hurricane while staying here and were treated very well by the staff! Good information, an upgrade to a better room so that we didn't have to spend 24 hours in cramped conditions and despite weather conditions, we could order one extra meal (we had originally not ordered dinner at the ryokan). When we arrived, we also got plenty of useful English-language guides for the city and all Ise's top spots are super close from Hinode. Very recommended!
Review 23:public bathroom curfew (but there's not much to do late in iseshi anyway) all night long sound from water fountain in sort of an atrium next to rooms.
Review 24:great location: 2 minute walk from iseshi JR station (10 min if you take off from Kintetu line side) staffs are very helpful and nice. free bike rental very safe location reasonable price including breakfast
Review 25:Outside may not look like much, but inside is a treasure of small gardens and comfortable, interesting rooms. Staff very nice; limited english but tried very hard to answer questions. Very nice ryokan. Very convenient location to train station....less than 5 min walk.
Review 26:Our traditional room was very wide, extremely clean and delightedly Japanese style. The owner was so nice, and welcoming, she helped us out in everything we needed. Japanese breakfast is definitely a plus
Review 27:Cozy and convenient, very friendly welcome and warm atmosphere staying there
Review 28:Friendly, attentive staff. Good breakfast. Very convenient location
Review 29:too old.
Review 30:close to Ise Shrine Geku
Review 31:The ryokan is beautiful full of details. The breakfast wast excellent. Great location in the very center for moving without luggage.
Review 32:-Shared bath could have been warmer -Noise from other rooms a little bothersome
Review 33:-Great location -Good value -Very clean -Nice room
Review 34:No sink in the bedroom, like our other ryokans had, although they have a few scattered through the building, so you're never far away.
Review 35:Location! Steps from the train station and close to the outer shrine. Comfortable rooms in a nice building. Mini fridge in room. Staff were very nice. They even let us use their washing machine for free.
Review 36:This hotel offers a unique opportunity to stay in a traditional Japanese house-styled hotel. Naka - the man on duty when I checked in - gave me the best room in the hotel with a large sliding window overlooking the central garden space with fish pond. There was also another garden space right outside the door to my room. The room interior was purely Japanese. Naka also offered me a bike for the day which proved invaluable as it allowed me to bicycle to both the close-by Geku shrine and the far off Naiku shrines six kilometres away. This made my day (which was my birthday) joyous and beautiful. The bathroom is shared, but don't let this put you off as it is set up in a traditional (ryokan?) way, with clean bathrooms and a nice small Japanese shower room with hot bath. This place is really worth staying in if you'd like an acceptably authentic experience in a traditional Japanese living space.
Review 37:Very helpfull host (ask him for good sushi restaurant!) Friendly atmosphere. Availible bikes Easy acces to train, city centre. Interesting to learn about Traditional Japanse living!
Review 38:It was quite cold in the corridor and lobby which is ok if you have the bathroom in your room but it was not the case.
Review 39:The person in charge was really very helpfull. The place was very quiet and the breakfast good. Excellent situation close to the station. I recommand this ryokan, it's a good value.
Review 40:The room was spacious , but for those who are not familial with common toilet and bath this place might be bothersome. There were a lot of mosquitos in the room making my sleep so difficult.
Review 41:Staffs are friendly and helpful.
