Review 7：The family Stabauer were very friendly and welcoming. Always smiling and happy to make us tea or coffee after a day out. It helped that one of our party spoke a bit of German, but we would have managed without - if we'd had any problems (luckily we didn't) there were members of the Stabauer family who spoke very good English. The location on a quiet mountainside near the lakes and near Salzburg is great, although you need a car. You can enjoy beautiful views from the terrace too. The house was immaculate, not a speck of dust anywhere. The en-suite showers may not be the most modern (seems to be a trend in Austria) but ours was really powerful and hot which is more important than fancy styling. If we return to Salzburg, then we would definitely stay here again.

Review 8：The quiet location and the mountain and lake view from the balcony. Very friendly family who will do anything to make your stay pleasant. Lack of English not a problem. All the highlights of the lakes reached in under an hour.

Review 9：Very, very kind, friendly and hospitable family. We've had also a perfect Sylvester Party all toghether - us, other guests and hosting family. We received all the informations we needed about interesting points to visit in the area. The house was very warm, clean and nice positioned on top of a Gaisberg's hill. Everything was perfect during the all week we stayed.

Review 10：The guest house is 3 km away from Mondsee town centre. Therefore the facility is only good for those with car. No bathroom amenities such as soap and shampoo were available.

Review 11：The location on the hill with views to Mondseeland was really wonderful,. The Stabauer family especially the lady was absolutely brilliant. The rooms were very neat and clean. We loved the place and would like to come back.

Review 12：the breakfast is quite simple and there is no variation at all. we missed some yoghurt and fresh fruits. realise that this is a pension/guesthouse owned by people who live there, extremely helpful, but you'll meet the family automatically when entering the guesthouse. this could conflict with your feelings of privacy when being there for a longer time. you have to share the balcony with other guests. the bathroom had poor ventilation

Review 13：rooms are clean. family is extremely helpful for its guests. location is very good for day trips like the forest, mondsee/irsee or salzburg. with nice mountain view. you can use mountain bikes for a day trip. there is a very good restaurant just next to the guesthouse.

Review 14：Very much enjoyed our stay. The owners were extremely friendly and helpful from our welcome drinks to helping us out with a lift to the bus stop on our last day. I even got a gift and some champagne with our breakfast on my birthday! Very peaceful location with beautiful views of the lake and mountains. We didn't have a car and it's a steep walk from Mondsee to the guesthouse (30 mins downhill and a bit longer on the way back up!) especially because it was very hot when we were there but we managed ok and the owners also offered us lifts back up in the evenings.

We were extremely impressed by helpfulness and kind attention of Stabauer family as well as the beauty of surroundings! We felt ourselves like at home and enjoyed our staying very much. The location of the Gastehaus is great as well - on the top of the hill with a wonderful view on the Mondsee, picturesque mountains and green valleys, which allows everyone to escape from the noise and overcrowding of big cities. One of the best holidays we've ever had!

Review 16：We stayed 3 nights at this guesthouse, as our base to visit Salzburg & Hallstatt. The owner was very warm, friendly & helpful. She is very attentive to our needs & made us feel very at home even though she speak minimal English. The place is very well furnished. Location is up a hill, 5 mins drive to the town center. So it is quiet & offer you great views of the surrounding. A great place to relax.
