Reviews for Palm Spring Resort
Review 1:Serving cold breakfast food and should separate non smoking area for guests .
Review 2:We enjoy the staff who are very polite, friendly, helpful in all we need. The food was delicious and verities for guests.
Review 3:Smell of mothballs in rooms; mattress firm and not overly comfortable; breakfast and food in restaurant mediocre
Review 4:Main building and garden attractive; has a swimming pool
Review 5:Close to airport. Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The room was spotless with a balcony overlooking the garden and pool. You need to take a taxi to get to downtown Yangon but the staff organised this for us and the price was very cheap given the distance. They also wrote the hotel address and contact number just in case the taxi driver for our return trip had difficulties finding the hotel. Great breakfast too.
Review 6:Close to the airport, which was convenient. Staff were super attentive and friendly. The room was very clean and well maintained - even the shampoos and conditioners were nice smelling ones, which is not so common! It had a sufficiently well equipped gym, with airconditioning, which was also pleasant.
Review 7:I picked this hotel as an overnight hotel as I had a connecting flight in the morning It’s close to the airport, Great food for a little hotel, Friendly staff, Rooms are very spacious, but a little dated All in all a pleasant stay
Review 8:Nothing
Review 9:Staff are very friendly and helpful. They went all the out when I had food poisoning to get medication for me. The rooms are large and comes with high ceiling...and was very comfortable for our 12 day stay. Love it that there is a spa that does massage, nails, etc. At reasonable price.
Review 10:Safety and cleanliness were our main concerns. This hotel exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff were genuinely nice and would go out of their way to help. The hotel manager was around to personally make sure we were having a comfortable stay. Great restaurant! They would even set breakfast out by the pool sometime. We enjoyed the consistency of the quality food and friendly staff so much we ended up eating at the hotel more than we planned. Wifi was hit and miss, but the front desk gave us a small portable router to grab a stronger network. We felt very welcome and safe here, would definitely stay again. Yes! We would highly recommend this place to anyone.
Review 11:The hotel is too far from town. You should count 35 to 45 minutes in a taxi. We had a lot of trouble getting taxis at night.
Review 12:Very comfortable large room.
Review 13:The noise of the air traffic overhead during the day - - and - - the construction of more rooms being built, and the noise created by the workers. I believe this hotel is over priced for what it offers - and the wine list extremely overpriced!! More than upmarket hotels in which we have stayed or dined within, in Myanmar! Some higher tables in the garden to eat from would be a bonus. We enjoy this hotel and will keep coming back because of the staff and location. Some of the staff really struggle with understanding English which is a little frustrating.
Review 14:The staff are always so cheerful and helpful, and they go out of their way to improve a situation if asked. This hotel is in a great location for the airport - and as we are living in Mandalay, and my husband is working with farmers on the outskirts of the city of Yangon,it is ideal for avoiding the traffic at peak hours.
Review 15:A bit of an unsual vibe, very old style hotel, very quiet, nothing to do around but a nice pagoda accross the road. Very far from city centre. They are expending the hotel and building a huge building right next to the pool.
Review 16:staff were very kind. nice little pool. We arrived extremely early in the morning after a night bus and they accomodates us early, which was fantastic. It is only a few minutes from the airport (2 dollars by cab) and this is great to avoid crazy yangon traffic for early flights. Twin beds.
Review 17:For English speaking people, making yourself understood is a real challenge, since hardly any of the staff speak even the most basic English. It became quite frustrating, and ordering food was exhausting because most of what was on the menu was not available and the waiting staff were so hard to communicate with, we ended up ordering what they had available that we could get them to understand we wanted. The dinner food was mediocre, and there are no good restaurants nearby, so you have to either take taxis or drive to reputable places, however taxis are very cheap and you can get to good restaurants for around US$5 each way. The internet was very unreliable and slow, but this is true of most of Myanmar and no reflection on the hotel itself. The staff did everything they could to help. None of these things took anything away from the delight of staying here, but it would be even better if they could address the menu options, the communication problems, and also provide some information for tourists, because there was nothing available to indicate what to do or where to go in the area.
Review 18:The hotel was very close to the airport, less than ten minutes by taxi, so very easy to get to. The rooms were spacious, very well equipped with everything you could wish for, and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff came in twice a day to ensure everything was perfect. Breakfast was nice, the pool and the area around it was lovely, so was the restaurant. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff just couldn't do enough to help. They were awesome! Their English was very poor so communication was quite difficult but they did their absolute best, and it was more than enough, in the end. Taxis are available almost immediately at any time, to take you anywhere you want to go, and the drivers will wait if you ask them to. I struggled a bit occasionally with the wifi but the staff offered me the use of their office laptop, and they even gave me a plug to charge my phone when the one I had with me failed to work. I felt so welcome here, I would recommend this place to anyone, and would definitely stay here again, as a solo traveler, or with my partner.
Review 19:I was working near the airport, so this was a great location for me (but may not suit a leisure stay). What else did I like? Everything!
Review 20:nice place to rest in busy Yangon
Review 21:A lovely room, wonderful staff and delicious food. Staff so welcoming who took so much trouble to take care
Review 22:Room has very big mix smell of camphor ball and air fresher. It's unbearable for the whole night.
Review 23:staff speaks good english. Near to the airport.
Review 24:Close to the airport
Review 25:nothing
