Review 1：Concierge is absolutely amazing. He is very pleasant person like the concierge in old movies. Also breakfast lady is nice. Hotel has the charm of an old hotel. Great value for the money.

Review 2：The balcony, I would have preferred a standard balcony but this balcony was the roof of the floor below.

Review 4：No tea/ coffee making facilities and the bottled water for drinking was expensive. The airport shuttle from pisa seemed a little steep. But I would recommend this hotel on behalf of my mom 100 percent.

Review 5：I made the booking for my mother and she absolutely loved it. She adored the location, the quietness and the staff. The beds were super comfortable and the pool was very relaxing. The photos did look amazing.

Review 18：Our bedroom and bathroom were shabby in comparison to the public rooms with ancient furniture and bathroom fittings although they were all serviceable. The advertised very attractive swimming pool was closed although the weather was warm and sunny and we would have liked to use it.

Review 19：The staff were extremely helpful and efficient and service was excellent. The hotel's location in a park was beautiful and we could walk to the town centre in 15 minutes. The room rate we paid was excellent value for money.

Review 20：Over priced for a hotel which is looking a little tired. Would have expected an a la carte option for 4 star hotel and didn't like the requirement that dinner was strictly at 7.30, otherwise it was cold!

Review 23：Quiet setting, located about 10 minute stroll from main town. Spacious rooms with air con, fridge and two showers! Courteous staff and excellent buffet style breakfasts. Well maintained and clean swimming pool and spa pool. Great for couples and families of all ages - popular with Italians, so must be good!

Review 25：The wonderful sense of an age of splendour. A fantastic example of 1920s/30s decor and design. Staff were a delight and so helpful.

Review 26：The Astoria is advertised as a 4* hotel yet no tea/coffee making facilities are in the bedrooms. We had spent the previous 4 nights staying at a 4* hotel in Montecarlo and although we enjoyed our stay at the Astoria it simply didn't compare in terms of rating. We were astounded that for a 4* hotel there was only 1 English TV channel out of 90+ and that was BBC World News. We eventually found another hotel which had Sky Sports so that we could watch the tennis final where we met other guests in the resort who had been searching for exactly the same. It would seem that Sky Sports channels are not available in many bars or hotels in Montecatini Terme. This hotel is in a great location which is peaceful but close enough to the centre of the town. the bedrooms which are clean do need to be modernised as they are a bit tired looking.

Review 27：The Staff were excellent and very attentive. The pool area was excellent although that said improving the landscaping around the pool would tidy things up a little. the public rooms are very comfortable and tastefully decorated with staff always on hand. The hotel offered excellent value for money and is in a great location

Review 28：The hotel is feeling a bit faded and needs some redecoration and betterfurnishings. Also we were bothered most mornings at 5.30am by pigeonsflying to the eves outside our room and cooing loudly.

Review 30：It was apparent that this hotel would have once been excellent; a true 4-stars. Unfortunately, at present, it is a little tired and in desperate need of renovations. We ate at the restaurant on one occasion and it was ok, nothing special, but was reasonably priced so we didn't mind too much. These factors aside we still had a lovely time, and if ever in the area again would not hesitate to choose the Astoria.

Review 31：The staff were extremely helpful and pleasent. One particular staff member, whose name I'm unsure of, went above and beyond to help us with travel arrangements for which we were truely greatful. The hotel, itself, had an oldworld charm without the rooms themselves being too dated (I.e. relatively new bathroom). The pool and spa facilities were also very good.

Review 32：I have travelled extensively over the years it Italy. I've logged over 450 nights. Hotel Astoria is at the top of my list in almost every category. The family run hotel is above average in every way. From being greated by the owners when you arrive to being escorted to your automobile or other means of transportation when you leave. We have stayed at this hotel previously and will continue to do so in the future when we are in this area. The in hotel dining room serves only three or four entrees per evening which are above quality and more than fairly priced. The service by the wait staff is excellent. A property where you total relax and be imersed in the Italian phrase "piano,piano" beautiful grounds, wrap around covered porches, elequently decorated in all the public areas with several sitting rooms. As you can tell we are sold on this hotel and which we wish we could move it around with us each time we go to Italy.

Review 33：The pool was heated (unusual for Italy) very clean. Staff very friendly and overall very good. Breakfast very typical Italian cold buffet and sweet pastry.

Review 34：Lovely Tuscan Hotel very basic as all of northern Italy rooms re, which is part of the charm of visiting the region. we have been to Montecatini many times and this is a great base, the town is very close and please visit the local restauranrs as there are many and the food is exelant. look for some off the more off the main stream and you will be suprised at the quality.

Review 36：Fantastic hotel in a lovely location. Pool was great! The room was cleaned with new sheets and towels everyday. The staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. Also having free bike hire was an added bonus. The location is quiet and there are a few restaurants of fair/good standard. We opted for the location as it was a 10 minute walk to the train station and a good location to explore the surrounding areas e.g. Florenece by train.
